T-fal Signature Nonstick 12-Piece Cookware Set

We ordered this set to add on to an existing mish mash of pots and pans we've had for years. The hope was that we could toss some of the older pans out.

Strong Points: Great coating, the food literally slides off with little effort. Inclusion of a couple tools is a nice touch (though not sure it's worth paying more for, as the tools probably retail for a dollar or two). Heating distribution is even, and so it cooks effectively.

Weak Points: Small. It's hard at times to convert 8" pot into a visual, especially when the pictures show things that look bigger. A few of the pans are suitable for children, but not big enough to cook something for a single adult.

Overall, the product appears well made, but I would go to a more expensive set with a larger selection of pots and pans if I was going to use these as my primary cooking utensils.

I am very pleased with my cookware. The quality is great and the price was right. Easy to clean up after use.

I needed something simple and basic and love love these. I don't cook a lot as a single guy but when I do it's very easy and I've used most all of the items. The heat indicator is perfect for a novice like me and the non-stick really works great. Plus I just pop them in the dishwasher and they come out clean, so easy and perfect.

Holland Grill Wireless Thermometer and Timer - New

I really do like this little timer. I works well with the grill cover down. My grill is on the back porch and I can put the probe for the thermometer in the meat and put the remote in my pocket and go back inside. The only complaint about this unit is the volume of the alarm. I have mild hearing loss and if the volume was adjustable and about 3 times as loud, that would be great. Other than that it's a great little unit if you have good hearing.

don't waste your money. you can't here the alarm and after having it for 6 months, today I tried using the meat thermometer for the first time and it would not work. Don't buy it.

This product worked great for the first use. We smoked a pork loin, ribs, chicken thighs in our Charbroil Smoker/Grill. The thermometer beeped when it was all ready and the meat was not overcooked, undercooked; just perfect.

On the second use, the thermometer immediately went from registering the temperature of a raw pork butt at 40 degrees to 140 degrees in about 1 minute. Then the unit began to continuously beep and display "HH" as the temperature. I consulted the manual that accompanied the product and no mention of the "HH" was made. An online search showed that other wireless thermometers show "HH" as a problem code or "high heat".

I contacted the manufacturer and was told that the product should not be used in a smoker, due to the high temperature inside a smoker unit. The "HH" means that the meat probe has been damaged and will no longer work. The product instructions does not mention this at all. They manufacturer is sending us a replacement probe that is designed differently and we were told that it should work, but that we should also be careful using it in the smoker. I will try this when the replacement is received and will report back on its success (or not). If it does not work, I will be consulting the manufacturer for a full refund, as their instructions do not mention refraining from use in a smoker/grill.

Black & Decker CTO7100B Toast-R-Oven Digital Rotisserie Convection Oven

This B&D oven makes outstanding rotisserie meats and is a big leap in value over a traditional toaster oven, with one significant drawback: it's a very mediocre toaster. In fairness, nowhere on the packaging does this product say "toaster" -it's simply described as a convection rotisserie oven. But if you're considering an upgrade over a standard toaster oven like I was, you're probably hoping for the best of all worlds: rotisserie, convection oven, and toaster. It nails the first two, but is merely acceptable on the third.

Rotisserie: It takes a few tries to get a feel for the timing, but once you do, you get really outstanding roasts and restaurant-quality rotisserie chicken. The rotisserie keeps juices circulating inside, so the meat doesn't dry out like when you bake it the standard way. Some have noted that it isn't really big enough for chicken, and it can be a squeeze. But if you tie the legs with cooking twine (which you should do anyway, to prevent burning), you can cook a 4-1/2 to 5 pound bird, and anything smaller is easy (the manual suggests 3-1/2 as a limit, but you can push that a bit). Pork and beef roasts are ridiculously easy -just stab it through with the skewer and put it in -and absolutely delicious. I'm surprised at those who say the rotisserie isn't worth it, because to me, it's the best thing about this device. Well worth the upgrade over a non-rotisserie convection oven.

Convection oven: If you're not interested in the rotisserie, you can get a good non-rotisserie convection oven for $30-$40 less. That's still $30-$40 more than a standard toaster oven, but it's worth it. A standard toaster oven isn't really for baking. It's good for reheating or melting cheese on something, but that's about it. A good convection oven like this one can be used for anything you do in a normal oven. Lasagnas (in a 9x9 pan), breads, pizzas (up to 12-inch), desserts, etc. -all of these can be done here because the oven regulates its temperature reliably. Furthermore, the smaller size and the convection fan (which circulates the air to regulate temperature and speed cooking slightly) mean less energy. Why use a giant oven to cook a small dish? Pre-heating is quicker, cooking times are shorter, and the food is just as good. The broiler also works well.

Toaster: Again, B&D doesn't promote this as a toaster, though it does have a toaster setting. It toasts pretty evenly (no worse than a standard toaster oven on that front), but the larger size of the oven (compared to a toaster) means it takes a long time, and the toast tends to dry out. You can tinker with the settings a bit, and if you position the rack close to the heating element, it turns out fine, but expect it to take a few minutes longer than a normal toaster or toaster oven. This may also mean that you're giving back some of the energy you save by using it as an oven.

Two other drawbacks to be aware of: (1) it takes a fair amount of cabinet space, since it is a few inches wider, deeper, and taller than most toaster ovens, and (2) the glass on the front is not double-layered, and thus gets very hot -be careful if you're using it with small children around.

Beyond that, this is a solid product. After six months of use, I'm happy I bought it, and am really glad to have another way to cook outstanding meat during the winter months when it's too cold to grill.

I searched for a long time before buying this, it is great for heating up anything, we barely ever turn on our big oven now! the only problem is that the rotisserie is worthless! chickens dont come small enough to fit, plus the skewer pops out and doesnt spin! this is a great toaster oven but dont buy it for the rotisserie!

We've had this device for several weeks now. We've used it for baking, rot is, toasting, but not broiling as of yet.

Here are the observations:

[1] Good device for all intents and purposes.

[2] Needs improved control of the toast function. Set to 3, the toast is too light. Set to 4 it burns the edges. Instead of 7 settings. Make it 20 settings. You can afford to pay your programmers that much. It would only be a few lines of code and a more flexible circuit. I'd rather have the flexibility than years of improperly done toast.

[3] The rot is has issues with whole chickens of 3 pounds and up. They need to be trussed up in a corset of string to avoid contacting the drip pan

[4] The beep on the machine sounds too much like the smoke detector. I can live better without thinking there's a fire in the kitchen. Change the sound to something else.

This replaces a 3 year=old GE Rotisserie/Toaster Oven which no longer works.

The digital timer starts counting down automatically after it finishes pre-heating.

The toaster is nearly silent even when the convection fan is on.

The thermal readout is in 5 degree increments.

The size is more compact than the model it replaces, but the internal space is just as roomy.

The cooking tray does not extrude at the back where the pizza bump is, so you may need to use a pizza pan.

The heating elements are coiled within the larger diameter element surface (an improvement compared to conventional elements) so they shouldn't warp and bend when liquids drip onto the elements.

Overall it is a welcome improvement over the $20 cheaper GE model this replaces.

...Several months later...

The oven is still going strong.

I have found that it cleans easily.

One of these days I might be tempted to place a small bead of silicon caulk or RTV under the top of the glass door.

When cooking for periods longer than an hour, a considerable bit of heat seems to escape.

...In response to the squeak in the video review by "ColoradoHermit"...

Flip the rotisserie switch to the off position when you are not using the rotisserie.

That will stop the 'mysterious' squeak you are hearing.

Just bought this and love it. We're a family of only 3 and it more than suffices. Haven't used as convection yet but oven and toasting is a breeze. Minor adjusting time and temp as presets are automatic.I haven't really had to adjust anyway. Using it for breakfast and dinners. Not home for lunch otherwise would probably be using it for that. I originally bought this model grill thinking I'd use it a couple times a week due to the easy use and cleaning I've seen with other models. I was very wrong. I've found that instead of dripping into the little plastic tray, the grease runs down the curved bottom of the grill and eventually creates a big mess of the counter-top. I really wish I had gone a size bigger. If you are planning to grill decent sized chicken breasts, you have to do it one piece at a time. Finally, it heats very unevenly. Place two burgers on it at the same time and the burger on the right will be slightly burnt while the left burger is barely done. All these things combine into me using this maybe once a month if that, because I don't want to be bothered with the mess and inconvenience.

We bought this less than 6 months ago and my wife just threw in the trash. Consistently leaks grease while cooking that comes out under the grill behind the grease pan. This model is an update of one we used for many year until the heating elements failed. Whatever they did in updating should not have been done. "If it ain't broke don't fix it!" I wish I could give it zero stars. I take the blame for not returning it before the deadline. A real piece of crap.

This is the worse George I ever owned. ONLY good thing about it is the grill plates only are easy to clean up, removable so you can soak then wipe clean. This is my 3rd George by the way. I do minute steaks on them and they are the best. BUT I can only do one at a time and it takes a long time to reheat so I can do the next. Making my minute steaks 5 minute steaks. The mess after on the counter after MANY attempts to reposition the drip tray is all over. The bottem of the machine is covered from it trailing down the bottem. Id give it an extra star for ease of cleaning the plates but because of the mess you have to cleanup on counter, not gonna happen. Not worth the money, just my opinion

I had a prior electric grill that was bigger but was hard to clean. The removable plates are a must for me. I also like the wide hinge. I am thinking of getting a second one to be able to cook meat on one and veggies on the other. This is the easiest dinner and my kids love it. The only thing I find that is an issue is the I have to flip the meat or the top tends to get burned.

I really wish I had read these reviews before I bought the GRP46R model grill. This was our third George Foreman grill..first on had the bun warmer top..the second was much larger. Since it is just the two of us I thought the smaller size and removable grill plates were just what we needed. The first time I grilled burgers the grease ran down the slope and onto my counter top. This is a very useful pan for grilling sandwiches, vegetables, meat, or fish. It has a non-stick coating, so it requires little or no oil. It comes with a heavy weight press which ensures good contact between your food and the bottom of the pan, making the food cook fast and evenly. I much prefer grilled sandwiches cooked with this pan because they come out crispy with well-melted cheese, rather than oily and still only partially cooked as they did in my old frying pan. Note that although this pan bears the "All Clad" label, it is made in China. The red apron is nice, too.

Fire Wire Stainless Steel Flexible Grilling Skewer, Set of 4

Ordered these skewers as a gift for my boyfriend's parents who are very into grilling. First time I'd seen these was on Woot.com and since then all over the place. We used them for dinner over the weekend. They are very long, easy to thread food onto, very easy to work with on the grill and unloading food once cooked. Fun and versatile, very practical for snaking around a small space or around other food. Overall, easy to work with: food flipped easily and did not move around on the skewer. Quick clean-up. Recommended product!

Allow me to start by telling you that, by 2012, the technology in skewers should be top notch and beyond improvement. These Firewire Grilling Skewers represent that penultimate achievement. With that said, I'll try and give these a fair review.

I'm going to make a handful of assumptions. At least one of these probably applies to you.

1. You like to grill out and have a pretty good foundation regarding how to put grill marks on meat and vegetables.

2. You like kabobs.

3. You have have or have had a problem with one or more of the following:

a. burned yourself on old metal skewers

b. burned up cheap wooden skewers

c. freezer burned a kabob because the skewer broke through the freezer bag

d. can't close your grill because your skewers are too long, etc.

If these describe you, please continue reading.

Pros:

1. It holds a LOT of food. A single skewer holds two full, marinated kabobs from Whole Foods with room to spare. I could probably cook 10 to 12 kabobs worth of food on a set of 4.

2. The tip of the skewer is rigid, but not sharp. Which means, you can use it to poke through the food, but it won't poke through the freezer bag. No leaks. No freezer burn.

3. They're flexible. So you're not limited to having your grilled items in a straight line. In practice, this means lots more food over the same fire.

4. You can leave the ends outside of the grill. Leaving the ends cool enough to handle.

5. The parts of the wire inside the grill don't burn up.

6. They're dishwasher safe. C'mon, half the reason you're cooking outside is because you don't want to clean the kitchen.

Cons:

1. Amazon Prime Shipping took two days.

2. I didn't find them sooner.

These are amazing. If you don't own them, you should. =)

I cook mostly for one so I have a really small Weber propane grill. These Fire Wires make it easy to make the most of the space because I can make any shape with them; they also help the food to cook more evenly because I can snake them from hotter to cooler parts of the grill as needed.

They are a little thick for certain seafood; unless you're doing jumbo shrimp they may not work as well; smaller shrimp is a little harder to to load and harder to get off the skewer line without breaking them. I find that deveining but leaving the shrimp in the shell helps.

I like that they are reusable, no more burnt sticks either. They clean up easily with a good soak or coil them up in the silverware basket in the dishwasher.

Pleased with this purchase and highly recommended.

GrillPro 31845 Heavy-Duty Vertical Propane Smoker

We got this and spent about 1 hr assembling it.

The first problem was that it was mising about 3 screws and washers.

I had read some reviews where they complained that in a short time one of the hngles popped off.

After our assembly, we took it out for it's first seasoning run.

Guess what. One of the hinges popped off.

So we took it back and got a refund.

BUt what a waste of time.

We just received our model in the mail, and it is not as big as it says. We bought the larger model for larger turkeys, it said 22x25..it's more like 16x14! We may as well have bought the one for $100 less. We are keeping it because we need it for smoking the Thanksgiving turkey, but we are very disappointed in the size for the price we paid. We will update and let you know how it works. We had the Smokey Mountain series smoker for years but the regulator just blew out, so hoping this model will at least smoke us up some good meats and fish!

First, it was missing parts (no knobs). The faceplate of the gas supply was scratched. The thermometer was horribly off by 150 degrees. Finally, after the 3rd smoke, it stopped working. The flame just sputtered out. I tried cleaning it to no avail. DO NOT BUY!!!!

We're really happy with this smoker. It was easy to assemble, maintains a constant temperature over long periods (8+ hours), and is easy to clean. Assembly was straighforward and nothing was missing. It is not, however, a huge smoker. The internal "floor area" is 14" x 12". But this is more than enough for most fowl chicken and duck. A goose would be a tight squeeze as would a big Butterball turkey. For the price, I couldn't have asked for more. A very well-built and well-designed unit.

Got this on a whim as a birthday present for my husband, who loves low-tech grilling but has occasionally complained about the messiness in grilling fish, which we both love. He also sometimes has trouble scooping up the halved onions and tomatoes we grill in the small spaces around meat or fish. To my surprise, he was absolutely thrilled when he opened this. He hefted it in his hand several times, turning it around in the air to feel the balance. I hefted it myself and was immediately pleased with how well it fitted in the hand, how the tool felt like an extension of my arm rather than an awkward thing you have to manoeuver with effort. It has since helped him turn a huge halibut steak successfully, increasing the amount that made it to our plates instead of through the grill onto the wood chips. He got a few other Cuisinart grilling tools at the same time and was heard bragging over the phone to his buddy "yeah, but mine are really substantial -they're heavy and still very easy to hold and to use -these are much better". But he freely admits that this one is his favorite.

Do try this and the other Cuisinart grilling tools -I think you'll find that their substantial and ergonomically-designed aptitude for the job makes them a delight.

GR100 Grill for Kicker 10" Round Subwoofers

Fits my Kicker 10" sub woofer well, give it is professional finish. I had to purchase eight replacement screws which were about 1/4" longer that the original screws used to support the speaker to the frame. It give my sub-woofer the added protection against objects in the rear of my SUV.

Hey it is what it says it is, a custom fit grill that protects your kicker sub from crap flying around the trunk of your car. Yes it's plastic like the other reviewer said, but aren't they all pretty muck these days? I wouldn't call it cheap plastic either as in it doesn't flex when you push something into, which is what you want. It sits about an inch an a half maybe two away from the sub box once installed which give your woofer plenty of room to move if you're so inclined to push it that far? Overall I'm quite satisfied with it. My only real beef with it it that kicker doesn't supply the screws with it? Yes you can use the existing ones, but they wont sit flush with the grill as the screw heads are tapered etc. So a minus one star for that!
