Admetior Grill Smoke Thermometer

I have an older 22" Weber Charcoal Grill. I needed a means to measure internal temperature for "Low and Slow" BBQ-ing. I thought about purchasing a new Weber Charcoal Grill that includes a lid thermometer but I just couldn't justify spending over $300 for a new grill when mine worked just fine. The T702BBQ Thermometer is a perfect size for a 22" Weber. The stem is about the same length as the Thermometer that comes with the new weber grills. You simply need to drill a 1/2" hole on the top of your lid to install this thermometer. I installed mine in the center near the Handle. After installing I smoked a 7lbs Pork Butt for 9-hours and was able to maintain a constant internal temperature between 225 and 250. I highly recommend this thermometer!

I don't write many reviews unless something is either really good or really bad. This thermometer fits into the really good category.

I ordered two of these Admetiors for use on my Char-Griller Smokin' Pro. When I received them, I submerged the probe on each into boling water. Both read 210 degrees. That was expected. Installing these gages required drilling a 1/2" hole in the smoker. Once installed, they were firmly attached by hand tightening the retaining bolt. That was nice. These two thermometers were in addition to the factory thermometer which is mounted on the top of the smoker rather than at grill-height. I installed both Admetior thermometers at grill height, one at either end of the smoker's top.

Where these thermometers really shine is when the sun goes down. They are indiglo green needles and numbers on a black face. Running the smoker for six hours often requires conntinuing into the evening after the sun goes down. With nothing more than a small amount of indirect light, these thermomters are easily readable. The factory thermomether is an aluminum needle and aluminum face with black numbers. Even with a flashlight, the factory thermometer must be studied to be read. After using the Admetiors, I now don't like the factory aluminum gage. There is no comparison between the readability of the Admetior Grill Smoke Thermometer and the factory aluminum gage. The Admetior has it hands down, no question about it.

I would reccomend the Admetior Grill Smoke Thermometer to anyone upgrading their factory thermometers on a smoker. It is a very worthwhile improvement.

I bought this for a smoker. To test it, I borrowed a high end digital probe thermometer and placed the probe in the smoker at the same point where this thermometer was. The Admetior thermometer read 40º to 100º below temperature as I monitored it for about an hour with the smoker at various temperatures. No matter how long I let it sit there, the needle would never rise to the correct temperature. I am returning this.

I thought I'd leave a simple tip for those of you who are thinking of buying one. This review is specifically for those who use a weber kettle grill. It works great for me but because I was uncertain of its 'weatherproofness' I just put the thermometer tip through one of the vent holes on my weber grill. I was also a little reluctant to drill a hole through the porcelin enameled lid. This naturally limits the air vent control from the top but you can always control the heat from the bottom as well. When your done grilling, let the thermometer cool off and wipe it down with a damp cloth and bring it inside. The other Amazon reviews seem to be accurate.

I bought this because I own a DCS 36" grill. The brush and scraper are designed to fit the shape of the DCS grates. They do a great job cleaning out the grates. I bought instead of the 5 piece DCS grill tool set in order to save money. I just attached a wooden handle to the head.

Paderno World Cuisine 18.5 Inch Polished Carbon Steel Paella Pan

For his 16th birthday, my son asked me if we could serve paella at his birthday party to his friends.

I said yes, except for one thing, the list of guests between friends and family went up to about 24 people, and I only have a paella pan which only serves 10. One paella pan was not going to do the job for this birthday dinner. So I scramble online in search of an additional pan to be able to make enough paella for everyone. This new paella pan I bought is much better that the one I've had for years, and it did the job wonderfully. The paella cooked well and displayed beautifully. The pan size is just perfect to serve 12 people or more, you can cook about 4 to 5 cups of rice easily, along with all your vegetables, party size chicken drumsticks, pork, shrimp and mussels. It all fits great! Everyone enjoyed dinner and I was a happy camper. :-)

This pan cuts the mustard test. It's been used on weber bbq grills and my home range. The paella that I make consists of 25+ ingredients and is intended to feed a voracious audience.

I bought this knowing well that my friends may have high standards. That's fine with me. Paella should be celebrated amongst friends and strangers.

I've used this pan sparingly, since the size is so darn big. But, I recommend it if your entertaining a lot of guests and expect a few others to bring some extra dishes for others to munch on while this is being prepared.

One thing to note when feeding an army. Cut your protein in smaller 'bite' size pieces and let all your fatty goodness/meats do their thing.

Here's a list of standard paella ingredients.

Oil/Butter, onion, peppers, garlic, roasted Peppers, tomatoes (use cheese graters), roasted peppers, string beans, pimenton, paprika, chorizo (thinner is better), chicken, fish, clams, muscles, shrimp, scallops, (if fancy, lobster, prawns, jumbo shrimp) parsley, salt, pepper, clam juice, broth (cheaper to use the stuff in cubes/base vs. cartons), saffron (use pestel and mortar), lemon and alioli.

Expect longer cook times if using medley of seafood from frozen.

Expect hungry guests if the expectation is known that paella is on the menu. Watch Alton Brown and youtube clips of how traditional paella is made and as Chef John (food wishes) closes each video, 'ENJOY".

Made with love and prepped primarily the day before saves a lot of energy when the dish comes together.

P.s. Pass on 'seasoning' the pan. I wash and store when not used because I'm making this dish twice a year at most.

I love this paella pan. It's got plenty of room and handles heat evenly. Very sturdy on the stove top and even fits in the oven. Keep in mind it's 18.5 inches. My first thought was that I could fit a hippo in it! If you would like a smaller pan, they are out there, but since I am cooking for a crowd or for the week, I love the larger size.

This is a beautiful pan. Be aware that the pan will rust if you don't season it with oil. It works beautifully on top of an electric stove, conducting the heat very well. This is a very large pan and may not fit in smaller ovens. For sure it does not fit in a 30inch oven.

SteamFast SF-226 Handheld Steam Cleaner

I just purchased a previously owned townhome and needed to really clean the entire kitchen. I used an industrial grease remover and was unable to remove all the grime (YUK!!!). I had seen this product advertised and was skeptical; however, I was pleasantly surprised. The SteamFast SF-226 Handheld Steam Cleaner did an exceptional job. Following the use of the steamer, I was able to wipe down all surfaces in the kitchen. It worked great on the grout, stove-top, kitchen tile, floor tile, refrigerator, and woodwork. I highly recommend this little work horse!

Not much to say... it's a low end, handheld steam cleaner -meaning it can't compete in any way with professional models at twice the price. For the most past, it gets the job done. Set up took all of 5 minutes -fill with water, attach a nozzle, wait for the light to signal it's ready, and steam away!

Most people will probably use the main nozzle (as pictured) and attack the usual areas -bathroom, kitchen, and every other nook + cranny you can think of. It did a good job on all those areas.

It's light enough to carry around for a while, and the long power cord allowed for good flexibility. It removed most of the burnt-on grease inside the oven (though it took a few cycles).

As to be expected with a basic model, it doesn't take long to lose its' steam power, and it needs refilling rather quickly (so don't pump for steam if you don't need to). Also, depending on the angle being applied, it leaked more water than steam action to some surfaces. Additionally, I wish the main nozzle was longer, as I found myself unable to reach certain areas.

To sum up, it's fine for most basic household uses but don't expect maximum power from a model like this. I found myself wanting to upgrade.

This is a great product at a great price. This is my second one, because they don't last forever. But four years for one of these isn't a bad life-time, considering the price. There are some things it DOESN'T do like soap scum on the shower door. But I use it for cleaning the grill, the oven and the stove-top. The steam really does melt the grease like in the infomercial. While it doesn't really work on soap scum, it does a great job on mirrors. Next time I'll spend the extra money and get the one with the extension hose, because without it you can't get to the bottom of the mirror (the squeege attaches right to the tank, which gets in the way). About the time I run out of steam, my arm is tired and the break to let the unit cool so I can refill it works out nicely for me. With common sense (don't force parts together, empty the tank before storing, etc.), the unit should last. The one thing I would change would be to add the ability to purchase nozzles and brushes seperatly. Those are the things that get lost/wear out, etc.

it loosens dirt and grime,,,then you have to wipe it away...

i say this because some people may think you steam it off,,and that when done the area is cleaned,,it isn't. it lessens the elbow-grease you have to put in.it IS worth the money, you don't have to work as hard, but you still have to wipe up the residue....so much for cleaning unreachable places,,,for that you need to use an attachment with a fabric cover, which they do give you, but it's teeny, tiny...you need about fifty to complete a dirty job... all in all, i recommend,,but prepare to get creative... it's a good and helpful little product!

This item does provide steam, however it is not hot enough to get rid of simple soap scum and mildew. Pain in the butt process: Fill with small amount of water, wait three minutes for it to heat up, use for 1-3 minutes before item runs out of water, wait five minutes for item to cool down before opening the pressure chamber to refill... repeat. Total waste of time.

The Nexus 10 fits into the case fairly well. There is a little sliding which does not affect the functionality. Appreciate the automatic sleep and awake feature. Agree that the lack of a hand strap as advertised is disappointing. Appears to be well made, protects the tablet well, and the variety of colors is difficult to find for the Nexus 10.

The case does not include an elastic hand strap like stated in the product description. This is probably for the best, because the elastic loop for the stylus is stretched out after only 2 days of use. I am returning it and going to buy the same product for $13.00 less. The hand strap was the only reason i purchased this case. I was just looking for a cost effective solution to get me by untill Google releases their case.

This cover fits fairly well although somewhat loosely. This makes it susceptible to being blown off in the wind. Although clearly not intended for this purpose, the carry straps with the velcro handle binds can be wrapped underneath and 'velcro-ed' together to hopefully keep the cover from blowing away. I do anticipate the eventual failure of the velcro to grip. I suppose I'll have to use bungee straps after that.

I ordered this when I also ordered the gas grill by mistake. It came in a separate package but I kept it anyway because it managed to fit over the electric grill. This is a nice cover with firm stitching and heavy-duty canvas-type fabric. The seams allow it to fit the grill so it looks attractive.

This is a nice cover and tote that seems well made. I purchased the CGG-180 which has the telescoping legs and the legs do not fit inside the tote. When set up the cover does a nice job of protecting the BBQ however.

We are fan sleepers. Not casual fan sleepers. Not "I only 'fan' when I'm drinking" fan sleepers. We're "bring your fan when you go to visit your old roommate even though you made sure to leave a fan behind for when you visit" fan sleepers. At our height we each had a fan on our nightstands and a box fan on our dresser. It's like Hoarders if the hoarders limited their hoarding to just fans. Anyway, we bought this because our box fan was getting weak. Both physically and emotionally. Snort.

This fan. is. amazing. It's like sleeping in a wind tunnel! So much so that I had to ask the wifey to either pivot it more directly facing him or turn it down a notch. When he assembled it we giddily pointed it at all the various pendant lights to watch them sway in the airflow and then we took turns (read: pushed each other bodily out of the way) standing in front of it. Cuz we're awesome. The fan is larger than I imagined. Not bulky, just sort of like you took the scale tool in photoshop and enlarged it uniformly. It's the "papa fan" of our family of fans. The base is nice and wide so it's really steady on our carpet and it produces enough of the wind sound to soothe us to sleep without being noisy. I like rhythmic windy fan sound. I don't like random screechy, clunky, "is there a screw loose?" sounds. So I wouldn't claim this to be quiet, per se. But it certainly isn't loud. In the end we decided to keep it on it's medium setting lest it up our tolerance too high and we end up in a constant all consuming hunt for a stronger fan fix. It's low setting is stronger than the high setting of every single one of our 8 bajillion other fans. Esthetically it looks kind of bad @ss too. Win. Upon questioning, fiance says assembly is, "Pretty straightforward,... also you're pretty." (writer states latter part of statement should be considered "creative nonfiction")

This is a great fan. We had an old Lasko brand pedestal fan die on us after about 8 years of use, so we purchased this one to replace it. My wife and I are fan sleepers (like another reviewer), and this fan is perfect for this application. For us, it's not just about the wind, but the constant ambient noise that accompanies it. Don't get the impression that this fan is LOUD, because it isn't. It is only a little bit louder than the average household pedestal fan.

This is labeled as an "industrial grade fan", and by definition should produce a good amount of wind. This is a powerful high velocity fan that does just that (you won't get a 3/4 HP motor on a household pedestal fan… 1/4 HP tops on most home use ones). Unlike another reviewer, I easily noticed the change in fan speed and airflow between settings. The all metal construction is solid and sturdy (even on the "high" setting), and at the same time reasonably stylish for an industrial fan. I had no problem performing the easy three step assembly process or making adjustments to the height.

Everyone note that this is a stationary fan that does NOT oscillate. If you want an oscillating fan, look else ware.

This is an amazing fan that almost blows us out of bed at the medium setting. It is like sleeping in a wind tunnel! I purchased the "damaged packaging" one from Amazon Warehouse deals for $40, and this is a steal.

The only negative I noticed was that the product description said "Includes an 8.72-Feet 3-conductor power cord and heavy duty wheels". Although I would likely not use them, I found no wheels in the box or on the fan itself.

This fan works really well. It is able to adjust its position vertically, however there is no horizontal or oscillating option. At first I thought this would be a negative for me, however the sturdy construction and power of the fan more than makes up for it in my case and since I'm in a smaller area it isn't that much of a hassle to physically move the fan. It is quite a bit heavier than a standing fan you are going to find at walmart, but this IS an industrial fan and made to be sturdy.

I will say that the box look like hell when it arrived, beat to crap. Also the fan had some superficial damage to it, so I suspect I was actually sold a "used" item when the description stated it was "new". However, since the fan is meeting my needs and actual operation didn't seem to be adversely affected. Just make sure to inspect yours well when it arrives.

I bought this to keep me cool and (somewhat) dry during high-intensity indoor interval workouts, using a bicycle and rollers (like a stationary trainer, except that you still have to balance). I had been using a cheap, largely plastic fan, which eventually just fell apart. So to replace it with something that wouldn't in turn need to be replaced in a year or two, I was looking for something all or mostly metal in construction. This was the cheapest fan I could find meeting that criterion. It seems to be entirely metal, and has a pretty heavy base, which gives it good stability and keeps it from vibrating. I'm no expert on fans but it looks to be high quality throughout. It's quite powerful and does what I need it to do admirably well. I've given it 4 rather than 5 stars because, even on the lowest setting (which generates more than enough air for my purposes and thus is the only setting I ever use) it's fairly noisy. If I were using this fan to cool a room on a hot summer day, I think the noise is just enough to be distracting. It's not like a jet engine but neither can you just pretend its not there. I've had it about 3 months now, have used it on average about 3x per week for around an hour per session, and have had no problems whatsoever.

Deion Sanders' Hot Dog Express is an obvious attempt to exploit the wild success of George Foreman's grills, however Deion was not savvy enough to work with a high-quality manufacturer like Salton to manufacture his product. The Hot Dog Express is an OK quality product, but handling it gives hints that it will not last as long as a George Foreman grill does.

That being said, it did cook some very tasty hot dogs. It has the rollers like a professional hot dog stand, and takes about 14 minutes to cook eight hot dogs. I used Oscar Meyer beef dogs and they tasted better than any boiled hot dog ever could. The buns warmed on the cover as the dogs cooked.

The only obvious quality problem was the timer dial. It is marked for the length of time you want the cooker to run. I set mine for 14 min, but found that it stopped at the three minute mark and had no alarm bell to indicate the completion of cooking. To compensate, I have to set mine to 17 min, and keep my eye on the clock. This may be a manufacturing problem only with my unit, but is only mildly irritating. I tend to keep an eye on cookers when they are running anyway, for safety reasons.

The unit cleans up easily, as they state. The rollers and the "oil collection tray" both come out of the cooker for easy cleaning in the sink.

Overall, I do recommend this product because it cooks a very good hot dog. It will serve some heavy duty time on my patio this summer.

(1) The drip tray at the back of the unit where the condensation is supposed too drip to when/while cooking and after you open the lid was broken. I emailed "As-seen-on-TV" and they responded by saying they had contacted the manufacturer and were going to wait to see what they (i.e., the manufacturer) can do/will advise. Why they cannot just send me a new/replacement drip tray is beyond me;

(2) The square turning stem that comes off the roller wheels and joins into the unit as the cooking time goes on, it seems this stem "unscrews" itself from the units motor turning assembly resulting in the roller wheel assembly no longer "turning" the dogs. Synopsis: I found that I had to occasionally "push the roller assembly back into the units motor stem connector with the plastic tongs. And by the by, the plastic tongs melted somewhat where I used them to push the roller assembly into the connector; couldn't use a metal utensil as the instructions say not to use metal to touch the rollers as may give off an electric shock.

I ordered the as seen on tv hot dog express , from a company called welistit.com , so I wanted people to be aware of this product , I received it with the drip tray in the back broken in 4 pieces , & I feel the company knew this when they packaged it , since the little plastic bag it came in was taped as if they didn't want any of the parts to fall out , because the way they had it packaged , there was no way it could have broken in Shipping , when I notified them of my problem , they said they had no record of ever shipping this item to my address , & I would have to get the Tracking # from UPS for them to be able to do anything for me , I wonder , when I send the # what their excuse will be then , only to delay me from getting the part once again , well I learned my lesson the hard way , I won't order from this Company again or purchase this item EVER again !!!!!!!!!

Its not really as great as i thought it was going to be. It holds 4 hot dogs at a time and you set the timer for 15 minutes. During the 15 minutes it makes a weird burning smell like somethings not right (but it says in the manual, that this burning smell is normal.) Also by the end of the 15 minutes, the hot dogs aren't all that hot so i wouldn't try and cook vegetables or anything else on it like it says you can do. Really it takes up more space than its worth because its just not that great.
