BergHOFF 10" Scala Grill Pan

So the lolagirl reviewer complains about having to clean these first (don't we normally clean even new cookware before using it)?

Anyway, I have a whole set of BergHOFF scala cookware, owned for 2 years now, and they are excellent. Heat very well, interchangeable handles, oven friendly, and of course healthy ceramic NON-STICK. They work very well, it's a more durable glass enamel coating over metal (vs. unhealthy fluoro-plastic Teflon that EPA tells manufacturers to stop making) and it's non stick properties are excellent long-term. I need to use only small amounts of oil if any and it's cooking a breeze.

While one could potentially use metal utensils, cause it's a harder substance than plastic Teflon, i'd still suggest using bamboo spatulas or turners to preserve your good cookware long-term.

Anyway, BergHOFF scala series is the best long-term ceramic non-stock solution I've found yet. Most other pans are too light or I don't trust the ceramic mix of non-stick these other guys make. Notice the black-white speckles, reminds me of a high tech (non-stick) version of my Grandma's old glass-enamel over steel cookware.

Although these pans look good when they come out of the box, the first time I cooked chicken on them they needed to be scrubbed (not with a scouring pad because it would scratch) but with a non-stick sponge. I had to soak them in soapy water overnight and still had to scrub them over and over again to the the food off. These are the WORSE PANS EVER! I purchased a ceramic pan at Ross' for $12.00 it still works like a charm!

Camp Chef Patio Cover

Ordered the cover for my Expedition 3X camp stove. fits great and the bungee straps on the bottom help keep it on in the strong winds. A must have to keep the stove out of the elements when leaving it set up for extended periods.

I ordered from Amazon and received it when they said i would.

Maybe I didn't read the description well enough, but was a tad disappointed that the cover wasn't made to fit with the extra cook box on top, that is, the grill box. We don't need to take that on and off each time, so it's natural to leave it on, and want to cover it. Just know that if you plan to use this cover the same way, it's a tight fit, with the little bungee cord in back barely reaching the front. The bungees could have been just a bit longer, and the hook larger, for easier handling. I will have to replace the one bungee. Other than that, happy with the weight and durability of the material, and the color is good.

Nice to find a cover for this large grill.Only wish it covered more deeply, so it would also cover the spatula and other tools I have hanging from the grill. As is, they get dirty. Just look at the photo, and decide if it works for you.

I bought this cover for my Camp Chef "Tahoe" model due to the fact that the stove would be kept outdoors and not under the covered patio. The cover is a perfect fit and looks nice. There are two bungee type cords that hook into grommets at the bottom of the cover to keep it secured. I definitely would recommend this cover to anyone keeping this grill set up outdoors to protect it from the weather. Amazon delivered the item on time--as always!!

I was very surprised at the quality of this item considering the price. The plastic is very sturdy...not some cheap plastic. The unit feels good in your hands. This is an excellent value for the price.

I just wanted to add that this unit has been working perfectly for the last few years. I wanted to point out that I use this with the small "Smokey Joe" Weber grill. I do not use this on a full size grill. I think you would want a brush with a longer handle if you were using a full-size grill otherwise you might burn yourself. For my small grill, this brush works just fine. It is comfortable, has great ergonomics, and is built very well.

I had this brush for a couple weeks. I have a grill with a strange grant (not bars), and the bristles weren't quite long enough. Also, probably to my own fault, this product sat in a cup of water until it evaporated. At this time, the bristles fell out immediately and an orange rust (I think rust) remained on the brush. You're probably better off getting a brush at the grocery store.

This is a good little brush. my hand gets warm when using it, but not hot enough to burn. Brissles seem to be holding up just fine after a dozen uses.

This is an inexpensive brush that does as advertised. Good quality manufacture, though obviously its plastic not wooden. I didn't think the short handle would be an issue actually it can be a bit uncomfortable on a very hot grill, but especially if I leave it next the grill while it's warming up so that the handle is hot already.

So if I don;t do that it's fine.

This is a good tool to flip chunks of meat on your grill. This keeps my hands further away from the flame than with tongs. Make sure your grill is fully oiled up as this tool hooks well but has problems with meat that sticks to the grill. You can use this to hook and flip any solid chunks of meat or vegetables. Obviously you cannot reliably flip hamburger meat or flaky fish which does not hook well and will break apart easily. I've flipped steak, pork chops, chicken breasts/wings/thigh/drumsticks, shrimp, and vegetables. I think this took is a good size and I use it on my "GrillGrates" surface frequently.

The reason I bought this grill was to cook hamburgers and maybe steaks. There are a few flaws with the design. First, the fat does not flow to the drip tray, instead it sits in the bottom and sizzles, splattering it everywhere. The second problem is when you open the lid, all of the juices from the top run down the plate and drip behind the machine. In the end, there was a mess everywhere and my house filled with smoke(due to the sizzling of the fat that should have dripped in the tray), setting off my smoke detectors.

So happy plates can be removed for cleaning and the adjustable top fits evenly on top of sandwich for an even grilling.

The line of Raichlen skewers are all very well built using all stainless steel and somehow the handles stay reasonably cool when you are using them on the grill. One potential problem with this size is that they are HUGE, I'm often searching for things to skewer with them due to their size, some of the smaller widths are much better for most applications.

I searched for the flat style Skewer for the Kofta style (ground meat) Middle Eastern Kababs. To say I am extremely satisfied with these would be an understatement. The meat does not roll or fall off of the skewer. The skewer for perfect Chele Kababs. The broad area of the skewer transfers heat to the inside of the meat for an evenly cooked Kabab.

I got the small one because it's just the right size for my gas grill. It is excellent on all points. Materials, design, construction, and finish are all excellent. Better yet, it also fits my Coleman 2 burner camp stove. Now I can cook for an army!

I got the Large Griddle Q for Christmas this year. I had wanted one for quite a while, but never pulled the trigger. I always wondered about the quality of build and how it would hold up. I must say that I am very pleased. These things are pretty heavy duty. I'd estimate that the large one weighs between 20 and 30 lbs and it is solid. I cooked breakfast with it the morning after Christmas. I cook breakfast for the family every weekend and this baby cut my time by 75%. If you're going to cook with this thing, make sure you have everything ready to go. I made 6 pancakes and 4 eggs (over easy) at one time! My wife loves Japanese Hibachi and plans to play teppanyaki chef for dinner tonight. I think we'll cook on the Griddle Q often. Cleanup is easy as long as you follow the recommended procedures. I'm anxious to continue exploring all of things I can make on my new Griddle Q. I'll update in couple of months after I've played with it more and I'll post about how it is holding up. So far, I'd say if you're thinking about getting a Griddle Q, stop thinking and just get it!

I could have swore I reviewed this product back when I bought my 30 gallon Jambalaya Pot. But I guess it disappeared, so for what it is worth here it is again. When I got my 30 gallon Bayou Classic pot it took days of grinding to smooth out the horrid cast surface on the inside of the pot. So I was not surprised when I received this 30 gallon size HUMONGOUS lid and it needed a lot of work.

First, the packaging was a joke, just a square box and a round lid bouncing around inside, not so much as newspaper to keep it from banging around. The lid came out of the pristine box (no shipping damage) looking like a potato chip with four huge dents 90 degrees from each other. It took hours to bend it back into shape.

The handle which was not smooth like the picture, had formed ridges in it and the rivets were not cinched tight, so the handle rocked 15 degrees from side to side.

Now maybe the thickness is good and strong for the smaller sizes, but the thickness on the 30 gallon size is a joke, it's half the thickness of ALL of my 20 gallon pot lids, literally it warps all over the place when it gets hot.

It's a lid, one would think it impossible to have so many problems, luckily I have only one of these to aggravate me for the rest of my life.

I decided to buy this instead of an electric wok, so happy I did. This does everything from steaming vegetables to boiling water for pasta.We are using this more than the stove top. Very easy to clean, which is always a plus. In the picture it looks like the pan is similar to a grill, however both pans we received had flat bottoms. Don't bother reading directions as they can be confusing, something must have been lost in the translation. Just figure it out on your own.

The slider for the temperature control did not work properly. There is no resistance to the adjustment until you get to a particular point so a large range of the temperature is not possible.

George Foreman Ggr50b Grill Indoor Outdoor

I'm still on the fence regarding this grill. It states indoor and outdoor use, but you have to take it apart to set it on the counter top to use indoors, this was not an easy task for me, or, I suppose you could just bring the whole grill inside, stand and all. Used it a few times on the deck, it takes a long time to heat up, there is no light indicator to show when the proper temperature has been reached. I grilled burgers, came out so,so, again because I wasn't sure about the temperature. Not good to grill fish unless you use a basket, but the basket could scratch the surface of the grill plate so be careful. All in all, once I get used to it I think it should be an OK purchase. It doesn't take up much room, but I do miss that charcoal flavor!
