George Foreman GR19BW Contemporary Design Grill with Bun Warmer, Silver

This is my first Foreman grill. I really like the convenience and my family loves the flavor. It cooks quickly, making it handy on those nights when I'm pressed for time. I haven't had any trouble with cleaning it or it getting too hot. I do have some issues with the bun warmer though. First of all, it doesn't seem to work all that well, taking longer to warm than the grill does to grill. Also, the flimsy warmer cover pops open whenever it's bumped making it awkward to handle and clean...occasionally it comes completely off. I would definately buy another Foreman grill, but a model without the warmer.

I'm sorry, but this is hopeless for the following reasons :

(1) It is hot after cooking and with a mit on you cannot open it without moving the grease tray, but then grease runs out onto your counter. The part you put your hand on to open it is not real hot compared to the edge but even without a mit the clearance between the grease tray and the place you open it is small and it is real easy to accidentally move it when opening.

(2) The instructions said to cook a large hamburger 8-9 minutes for medium, I tried that, burned to a crisp. I said "fine", and I tried 4 minutes. The hamburger was burned crisp on the surface and medium to rare inside, in other words it is too hot for a hamburger.

(3) And here's a big one, it is easy to have the extremely hot rear part touch the power cord when putting food into a preheated grill. Obviously this is very dangerous.

I must say, I have not been the best cook. I just started cooking since February of this year (2005) and have been horrible at it. Well of course, each time, I do improve but nothing close to a normal person. An uncle of mine suggested a George Foreman grill. I got this today and I have made a grill cheese sandwich as well as a fantastic pork steak. I looooooove my meat done well. The best thing about this grill is, the pork was cooked well done and yet was so soft and tender from the inside. Now how many of us get the bullseye at the first shot? I highly recommend this.

I gave it a one star because I couldn't go lower. Food sticks to it worse than a stainless steel pan. The company said for me to re season the pan. I did both pans exactly as they said. The food stuck. Redid them twice more.Food still stuck. If you cook eggs, you will have to submerge them in water for about 30 minutes to wash the stuck on eggs out.They must have used silicon spray on these pans to make the commercial. I tried using oil,butter,and pam with the same poor results.The pots have 100% satisfaction guarantee except it will cost you 30$ to mail back the 40$ pans. Seems like a scam to me. Do not buy these pans.

This product was non-stick for the first few uses, then gradually got worse. I would say a non-seasoned cast iron skillet would work better. Save your $$.

I don't know how the pan really works, but I had a negative experience with the company itself so my review is regarding this.

I went to their website and put this pan in my cart. It had me enter my credit card information, and then I clicked next, expecting it to go to a page where I could confirm my order. It went to offer after offer, trying to make me upgrade to more pans. Finally, I got sick of it and exited the page.

A few minutes later I got a confirmation saying that I had purchased not only the pan, but a "free" gift which I had to pay about $7 shipping for. I did not want that, and it never gave me the option to reject the gift so I called the company immediately and told the woman I wanted to cancel my order. She tried to get me to but the pan without the "free" gift, but I said no, so she told me she would put a note in to cancel it.

About a week later, the pan arrived in the mail, and I noticed that my card had been charged for the pan and "free" gift. I called the company to say that I had cancelled my order, and that this should have never been sent. I told them I did not want to pay the shipping to send it back because I, first of all, did not confirm to order it, and secondly, cancelled it immediately when I saw that it had gone through.

She told me that the computer says I cancelled it on April 5th, after it had been sent. This is not true, because I called 5 minutes after I received the receipt in my email on March 30th. She said sorry, there was nothing she could do, if I wanted I could send it back and get refunded for the price of the item but not the shipping.

I ended up filing a claim with my bank and giving the box back to the post office as a "Return to Sender," so that I wouldn't have to pay shipping. They ended up refunding the entire charge (which is why they get 2 stars instead of 1) but if I had not been so determined to not let them make me pay shipping, I could have easily paid $20 worth of shipping charges for something I didn't even commit to ordering.

P.S. I hate writing bad reviews. I only wrote this so that other people don't get scammed like I almost did.

Brought it because it was guarantee non-stick. It worked at first, but after a week, the food started sticking and now there is a black residue covering half the pan, which I have tried scrubbing off but doesn't work. Do not buy this pan!! I was sucked in by the infomercial. It took months to deliver the trial pan. I carefully seasoned it as per instructions. within 1 week of use 1/3 of the surface turned black. no amount of scrubbing with a sponge can remove it. the handle became loose within 1 week as well. after 1 month of use scratches appeared in the coating. I used only plastic and wood utensils. This product is basically crap. stay away!!!!!!

While the BigDawg is operating fine, the machine arrived damaged. There was no packaging problem, so I have to assume it was packed as a damaged item; one side of the machine is crushed in. As I needed the cooker immediately for a party, I decided to keep. It seems to work fine though I would recommend a guard be purchased if available as quite a bit of grease is splattered.

So disappointed in this product. It was received, removed from the box and the first time I went to use it, the rollers started, then abruptly stopped working. Tried several more times but still rollers didn't move. Maybe I got a lemon...not sure...but was planning to use for Super Bowl party and now I am left having to ship back a 31 pound lemon of a machine. Love the idea of this product but not if it doesn't work out of the box.

I purchase my first one of these in April. We run a concession stand for our city and couldn't wait to try our new piece of equipment. It worked like a charm, for 2 weeks. During a busy rush in customers the rollers stopped working and they were not heating anymore. Totally bummed, but thought I would give it the benefit of the doubt. I came home and promptly ordered a new one so that it would be here in 2 days. I packed up the damaged one and sent it back receiving a full refund. The second one got us through the last 2 weeks of Little League baseball. We just started Little League Football on Saturday and got everything ready to go. About half way through the day the rollers stopped working. The heating element still worked so we spent the rest of the day turning the hot dogs with tongs and babysitting them so they were evenly cooked. I do not have time to babysit the hot dogs which is why I purchased this instead of grilling them like I have for the past 2 years. Now I am at a loss at what to do. I'm pretty sure it will happen again. I'm tired of having it break while I'm using it and having to pack it up and send it back. Do I try a different brand? Amazon was very apologetic, and told me to send it right back. I am doing that, but it still doesn't help my hot dog problem. The 2 stars are for the 2 different units I've bought and sent back.

Be wary buying this product if you actually want it to work anytime and every time you need it too!

BBQ Hooker Four-In-One Grilling Tool

This is an item that caught my eye in one of the many e-mails received by Amazon and thought it looked clever, and wasn't too expensive. So far, I've only used it a couple of times, but love the hook on it for chicken and pork chops. Not much different than using a fork I suppose, but way cooler.

The only negative I have is the picture and description don't seem to match, which I didn't notice until I saw the picture as I was writing this review. I ordered the right handed version, thinking well, I'm right handed, and the product I received was labled "Right Hand", but apparently what that means to the manufacturer is that the spatula part is on the right hand side of the post, with the hook sticking out to the left. Either way, it was opposite of what I was wanting, but wanted to use it too bad to bother sending it back, which turned out to be a not so big deal, although just a little awkward (backward).

Overall, great product and well made.

This item was featured in Real Simple magazine as a Father's Day gift suggestion. I wonder if they actually tested it. It seemed like a great concept, but in actual use it was a complete failure. The reason I bought this grill was to cook hamburgers and maybe steaks. There are a few flaws with the design. First, the fat does not flow to the drip tray, instead it sits in the bottom and sizzles, splattering it everywhere. The second problem is when you open the lid, all of the juices from the top run down the plate and drip behind the machine. In the end, there was a mess everywhere and my house filled with smoke(due to the sizzling of the fat that should have dripped in the tray), setting off my smoke detectors.

So happy plates can be removed for cleaning and the adjustable top fits evenly on top of sandwich for an even grilling.

There must be something in the "porcelain" finish of this wok that erodes with cooking. The foul odor permeates any food cooked on it, and by the 3rd time of using, the food cooked on it had to be thrown out.

I bought this for my parents for Christmas after they fell in love with a similar model I have (that I received as a gift long ago). The construction is heavier duty than the one I have, and I'm sure they will get plenty of useage out of it. We had it on the grill almost every night over Christmas break, and they are thrilled!

after I moved to the city, almost the first week my grill was stolen from my back porch. All I was left with was my grill wok and charcoal chimney starter which I kept inside. No problem, I found them both together to be a great combination. Fill the charcoal chimney up to the desired amount, depending on the heat desired, and simply set the grill wok on top of the charcoal chimney. My only advice would be, if you have a self cleaning oven, run it through one time first to burn off all the porcelain, and then you are good to go. Whatever you used to do with kabobs, you can now do in the wok, with the exact same melding of flavors, yet better control of the cooking.

Sharp R-820JS 0.9-Cubic Foot Grill 2 Convection Microwave, Silver

I acquired this microwave when I was moving to a flat with limited kitchen space, and my primary reason for the choice was that the Sharp model was multi-functional. Since I've begun using it, I happily have ceased to sing a requiem for the toaster oven, separate grill, and other items I was 'consolidating' in this purchase.

I have used the Sharp microwave for grilling and roasting, as well as normal microwave functions, and the results are better than I could have expected. Grilled and roasted foods are extremely tender and juicy at least of the quality one could expect from a conventional oven. I have had similar success with cooking vegetables.

Reheating muffins and breads has amazing results they seem fresh baked and, unlike breads normally heated in a microwave, do not harden in a minute. I have used the convection feature for preparing breads, and had especially stunning results with preparing a frozen chicken pie. I suppose the surrounding air from the convection oven was the reason, but it seemed like a fresh-baked meat pie.

There are a few drawbacks, which would not compromise my five star rating because of the great versatility and high quality of the unit overall. The 'auto' roast, defrost, and grill features are very convenient, as is the prompting (telling one when to turn over the meat, for example), but they are very limited in the weight restrictions. For example, if one is defrosting ground meat, it has to be a certain weight significantly more than that of a single hamburger. Though grills and roasts would mostly fit in to the specifications, this is a drawback for defrosting, where one must estimate times and key them in manually.

Another difficulty I have experienced, when grilling on the rack, is that drippings which fall either on to the carousel tray or a pan placed under the meat can become badly burnt and baked on. This was slightly disappointing for my intentions of preparing gravies on the side. My single attempt to do so meant I had to soak the pan overnight and then scrape. The grilling results are wonderful, as far as the effect on the meats, but there is a great deal of smoke generated. Whenever I grill, it sets off the smoke alarm probably best to roast, then only grill at the end.

I would advise anyone purchasing this microwave to read the manual in full. The capabilities will not be realised otherwise. I actually use the unit less for 'standard microwaving' than for its other features.

One further comment: the Sharp microwave cookbook, which is advertised in the manual for the unit, is useful but not specific to the multi-functional machine. It contains only microwave recipes none for grilling, roasting, or convection.

Overall, and considering that it can replace several appliances, this microwave is an extraordinary value.

When my old (22 years) microwave died, I could've replaced it with another, especially since they'd gone 'way down in price/watt. But I'd used a convection oven (which went with my ex-wife), and I really wanted my own. I found the Sharp Grill-2 Convection, among others, but decided to purchase it mainly because of Sharp's overall good reputation. It offered a powerful microwave, a convection oven (cooking with super-heated air), and a grill to brown the outside of whatever I was cooking. I should've bought a lottery ticket that day! It has turned out to be the most useful, if not most often used, tool in my kitchen (and I have just about all of them!).

I wanted to write a glowing review the first week I had it, but knowning how first impressions can be misleading, I've waited until now, about a year later. The other reviews I've read here are accurate about the its uses and functions, so I won't bore you further. What I will say is that from warming a cooled cup of coffee to roasting a whole chicken to baking my famous cheescake, it's the best! Hands down, simply the best! A little pricey? Duh! Look at what you're getting: you can virtually cook ANYthing with this oven. And I have!

It looks great on my kitchen counter, it's instructions are comprehensive and easy to understand, it cleans up (from roasted chicken, for example) in about 5 minutes. It's quality, and IT WORKS! Oh, by the way, it uses a lot less energy than any conventional oven, electric or gas.

First let me say that I got a killer deal right here on Amazon. I paid $204 with shipping included. The unit arrived in tact although the box was a little beat up. So much so that I had to unpack it outside. Now onto the review. The unit is very heavy and well constructed. The majority of the weight comes from what appears to be a commercial grade convection motor. I lugged the unit inside and put it on a utility cart with the back facing a window. I unpacked the contents, which were securely stowed inside the unit. Contents included a porcelain coated turntable, rotary mechanism for the turntable and a circular raised rack for grilling. I plugged it in and it immediately displayed instructions on how to set the clock. That was cake so now it was time to cook something! Despite what others may say, you do have to read the manual to do just about anything (except setting the clock) because the unit uses special codes for different foods, i.e 1 for pork, 2 for chicken, 3 for humans and so on. The manual is relatively easy to follow and the unit also comes with a quick reference card so you don't have to whip out the manual everytime you want to cook something. So far, I have cooked a stuffed pork chop, cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies and a 10 inch frozen pizza. All came out near perfect to perfect. I would attribute this to the quality of the convection motor. I might even go as far as comparing the quality and effectiveness of this motor to that of a Hobart. If you're looking for a high quality and extrememly versatile convection/microwave/so much more, then you can stop looking. I would have paid a lot more if I knew it was going to be this good. I love this machine. I am not a cook perse, just a single dad trying to do everything myself. My microwave was my life saver until one day when the lights went out and fried it. Searching for a replacement, I liked the many options for no brains cooking and decided that if I was going to replace my microwave, why not try something better than average.

I am really glad that I did. This thing seems to do a perfect job on just about everything that I put in it. The kids and I have made apple pies, pizza, bannana bread and just about everything that I throw at it comes out perfect.

There was one thing that I didn't like... I couldn't get popcorn to come out right with this unit. That was UNTIL I realized that I needed to put in the wire rack to center the popcorn. How many bags I have ruined before realizing that I needed the rack. Since then I haven't burnt one which is a great releif to my kids on movie night.

I rarely write product reviews, but since I have pretty much stopped using the normal oven in exchange for this unit, I thought it was worth mentioning. I don't know if it takes less energy, but it does cut down cooking time dramatically so I can spend more time with the kids.

Can you believe a microwave that will brown chicken? I've cooked things in this that makes me seem like a gourmet chef, but I'm not even quite an average cook. Chicken breast that practically melt in your mouth, but the outside has a tantalizing crispiness that's sure to please the taste buds. Most recent to this review, I cooked several rounds of New York strip steak. A nice steak rub, a bit of non-stick spray for the rack and turntable tray (makes for an easy cleanup), and a steak-lover's dream was created. I do the typical hot-dog heating in the microwave...but you can't really place them directly on the metal tray if you want them to heat quickly. They are slightly below where the microwaves really concentrate and take a few seconds longer to heat. I place a microwave-safe plate on the turntable upside down to elevate it slightly and it works much better. This also works for microwave popcorn. I had trouble getting it to pop in the 3 minutes allocated to the popcorn button (large bag), it took more like 5. Put it on the upside down plate, it pops in 2 minutes and 45 seconds (yes, I've done enough of them to remember :-)

Buy this one, I doubt if you'll be sorry. I got it originally because I was a full-timer in an RV and was looking to replace a failed microwave oven. After owning this for about a month, I got rid of my toaster oven, my rotisserie, my jetstream oven, and I can't remember what else. It doesn't do toast that fast, so I kept my toaster. It is rather heavy and deep for a microwave, but it takes a lot less space than all of the other appliances it replaces.

Cuisinart GR-35 Griddler Compact

Have been using this new model for several months now. It is stylish on the counter-top. Larger than average plates for larger bread. Well built with a good Cuisinart warranty. The plates remove easily, making cleaning a snap. The plates are smooth on one side and ribbed on the other you choose which side you want to use. I cant comment on the drip tray since I don't make things that greasy, but it seems well positioned and practical. It is nice to be able to control the temperature somewhat and have the features and quality of more expensive models for a lower price.

I highly recommend this model (GR-35)

This little griddler-that-could answers the question: How do I cook quick and healthful meals daily. I've used it just about every day (and sometimes twice a day) since it was delivered, almost two weeks ago. I've had splendid results each and every time. It cooks like a champ and clean up is an absolute breeze. No splattering and the drip tray is adequately placed to catch any drippings. The stainless steel design matches my other kitchen appliances and, because it's compact, it doesn't take up much countertop space. An attractive and welcome addition to my kitchen. I'm so very glad that I purchased this product but may need to order a backup in case I overwork this one!

Heats well, works great for sandwiches.

But, beware anything juicy/fatty. It will create a nasty mess.

The plates are interchangeable, which is a nice touch, but it'd be better if one is a dedicated 'bottom' plate and is truly designed for catching and funnelling juices/grease into the catch pan. In my experience (typically bacon), the drippings don't move well to the back of the plate and well up in the back of the plate when it does get there. The opening sometimes gets backed up (not stuff, simply doesn't flow) and the grease stays at the back of the plate. The back wall of the plate is not as tall as the front wall of the plate and drippings will spill over the back of the plate onto the counter and INTO the cooker itself.

Today I discovered the issue of the grease in the cooker (UNDER the metal plate holding the heating element). I had tipped the cooker over to clean the back feet of the cooker (because grease spilled over, again) and grease poured out of the bottom of the case. I unscrewed the heating element plate and saw puddles of grease in the plastic case. Inside the case there are plenty of little corrugations and other spots for the drippings to collect making it near impossible to thoroughly clean. Unless it all gets cleaned up the drippings in the case are going to go rancid and start to emit an ugly odor.

If I buy another cooker like this again, I will definitely inpect the plates.

I recently purchased this product and so far everything I cooked (from grilled cheese to burgers filled with cheese) turned out great. The temperature is easy to control and the manual comes with a guide as to which temperature to cook each food. It's REALLY easy to clean. We are just two at home and it's the perfect size. If you have a larger family or like to entertain, I'd go for something bigger, but for a small household it's just perfect.

I purchased this turkey fryer kit with home brewing on the mind. I am a novice home brewer and this kit allowed for me and the fellow members of the Rat Bastard Brew Club to venture outdoors to brew beer, instead of in the cramped kitchen. This product allowed us to do a full five gallon boil, which provides you with a better product than a 3 gallon partial boil on the stove. I am pleased with this product and the quality of the kit in general, I would recommend this to anyone who has home brewing on the mind.

I did a lot of research and if you follow directions , it is safe and fun.

It takes about 25 min to heat the oil and 45 minutes to cook an 11 lb. turkey. The pot has a maximum oil level mark and that was the correct amount for our bird. The turkey must be dried well to prevent spattering. Watch the oil temp. so it does not go over 350. Do it outdoors as the paint has to burn off the burners and it smells.

As another poster mentioned, the paint doesn't last past the first use of this product. What he didn't go into, however, is that this paint is apparently flammable. On my second use of the burner I had the gas flowing at about 90%, left to go inside to grab something to drink, came back outside and the entire unit was in flames. If you are going to buy this burner, make sure you keep a very very VERY close eye on it until the paint burns (not melts, burns) off. I'd even advise trying to scrape the paint off as a precautionary measure.

Other than that, the pot and accessories served their purposes well. Just wish that if the paint was going to burn off from the get-go that they'd just sent one without any paint on it at all.

This brought it to a boil in about 20 minutes, when my stovetop (if it could even have done it at all) would take hours. This would've gotten five stars except for two things: the pot itself is a bit flimsy (though I don't much care if it has some small dents, as long as it holds water) and the paint on the burner burns off the first time you use it it smells terrible, but doesn't really affect anything else. I've used it again since the first time, and there was no more terrible smell, so it's just a one-time thing. Seems silly to paint it if it's just going to burn off, though.

If I decide to fry a turkey, I'll come back and update this review. 'Til then, it's definitely a cheap way to bring a whole bunch of liquid to a boil.

I'm glad I found these after I found the Brush Hawg at a salvage store! And, the replacement bristle heads. I've always held onto prior grill brushes too long and sometimes gotten metal bits in food from grill because I was using brush past the time I should have thrown it out. Not anymore. I have spares of both to go with a handle that is strong and slightly flexible and holding up to time and use and year-round outdoor weather. THESE should keep the grill clean and brush parts OUT of food because I'll replace the heads at appropriate time because I have a replacement at hand. Good price and good shipping. I hope these are available for a long time.

I bought this Raclette Set without any research, after deciding i wanted to do a raclette dinner that evening, and this was the only one i could find (left over floor model from Fry's, 8th store i checked). But I'm really happy with it. It's nice that it has 8 places, (many sets only have 4) which makes it useful for larger parties. While i am careful with the teflon trays, i use the set a lot, and up to now they are fine. I found the idea of half stone/half metal grill to be interesting. I'm still not quite sure about the benefit of the stone, as all models i had used before just had metal. It's a pain to clean. And since i don't have the manual (floor model) I still don't know if it's dishwasher safe.

Durable product, looks great, works very well.

Have had this grill for the past month, have used it only for raclette and not he grill portion yet. It seems great with stone and steal.. slick design.

This is the perfect grill for that special interactive dinner, similar to fondue cooking where each person partakes in their dinner preparation. The raclette cheese melted under the broiler perfectly as the vegetables and meats cooked on the top surface. Once melted, the raclette cheese is poured over hot boiled potatoes, the other vegetables are slightly softened, yet crisp, with perfect grill marks, and the meats (prosciutto, capicola, black forest ham) are hot. The temperature settings allowed excellent cooking accuracy w/in 5 minutes with no mess. We love this grill!

Bionaire 12 Inch Remote Control Power Fan

I like the way this fan looks, & it has great features, so I really wanted this to be a great 5* fan. But unfortunately, it is not a 5* product, & here's why. I have twelve fans in use in my house, from small personal units all the way up to a "hurricane" force model for the garage workshop, so I have a lot of fans to compare this one to.

Pros:

1. looks sleek & is quite attractive

2. this remote is 5* all the way. It controls everything the fan can do, not just some things, as some other remotes do. It's one of only four fans I have with a remote available, & is easily the best of the remotes.

3. has a design which enables the fan to create oscillating wind without having a moving fan head (the slats on the front turn in a circular motion; since the slats are angled in different directions, this creates a side-to-side & an up-to-down air movement pattern). There is a double-slat design on the grill (vertical & horizontal), which is both good & bad; it's good because it keeps small fingers away from the plastic blades.

4. this fan has 4 timer options (telling the fan when to turn itself off): 1, 2, 4, & 8 hours. That's more options than any of my other fans.

5. this fan has a simulated "wind" feature. This is nice, but minimally effective on ANY fan that has only 3 speeds, as this one does (it also uses "off" as a 4th speed for the wind effect). One of my fans is a 10 speed model, & that one does actually produce an effective "natural wind" simulation. If you want a good "wind" simulation, you'll need to get a fan with more than 3-4 speeds.

6. this fan has a retractable cord, not available in any of my other fans. It's nice to have, but not a big deal for me. Like a vacuum cleaner cord, this fan has a button that when pushed, allows the cord to rewind into the fan's housing.

7. this fan's outlet plug contains a small fuse, a good safety feature. Although most houses have outlet circuit breakers or fuses, this fan will isolate the problem before it become a problem for the entire fuse or circuit it's connected to. It even comes with an extra fuse.

8. it has an LED control panel, which is nice, but it is poorly placed on top of the fan & is impossible to see from your seat if you are using this as a table fan. You can see it better if you're using this fan on the floor, or if you're standing, but a better location would be on the front of the fan's housing.

That's a whole lot of "Pros" for a fan to have, but unfortunately, this fan fails in the most important areas.

Cons

1. the most important function of a fan, of course, is to deliver moving air to a spot or spots where you want to feel its cooling effect, & this fan does not do that. The air flow is weak, to say the least. I need it to deliver air to one specific spot, my chair, which is exactly 7 (seven) feet away from the fan, & it barely does so, even on the highest setting. That is a completely unacceptable performance for any fan (except the smallest personal desk fans), & especially unacceptable for a fan that cost me $47 here at amazon. The 3 speed settings could more accurately be called "Low, Lower, & Lowest." Even with the air conditioner on, I can barely feel anything at the "Medium" setting, & I feel nothing at the "Low" setting, so I need to keep it on "High" at all times to actually feel the wind. One of the reasons for this problem seems to be the grill itself (see above). The grill is apparently not designed for a straight-out air flow; it seems to be designed to disperse air upwards, downwards, & to the left & right. The grill slats are angled & do not point straight ahead, so this air flow would be expected. If you're looking for a weak air flow to cover a broader area, this feature may be good for you. If you want the air to flow to a specific spot, you're basically out of luck. To get the air to flow in my general direction, I had to sit on my chair & let the fan oscillate until I felt the strongest flow in my direction, then stop the oscillation at that point. Unlike a traditional oscillating fan, you can't tell exactly where the air is directed just by looking at it.

2. the "carrying handle" is an indent in the top of the fan's housing that is too shallow to fit my fingers in far enough. That, plus the fan's weight & the very smooth curved plastic of the indent, make it difficult to carry this fan with one hand. Many people will need two hands to lift it by its bottom, an inconvenience.

3. the manual is in English & Spanish, but there is very little detail given on the actual usage methods of this multi-featured fan. An example is "Press the Sleep/Breeze button to mimic...the wind". "Sleep" button? What is that? It turns out that what they mean is that the simulated "wind" effect is assisted by an "off" speed ("sleep"?). A little more detail here would be helpful. Again, this is a $47 fan, & a more detailed manual would seem warranted.

4. the oscillation feature grill does seem to work, but it's hampered by the weak air flow.

5. considering the poor air output of this fan, it is quite noisy. I have several more powerful fans that make less noise than this one does, & the ones that make an equal amount of noise all deliver better air flow than this fan.

Overall, this Bionaire is good looking, has a terrific remote control, & utilizes some innovative ideas. Unfortunately, all of the positive aspects of this fan are fairly meaningless considering the fact that the air flow is so weak. I'd like to see Bionaire leave the features as they are, but improve the air flow by a great deal, without making it any noisier than it is. I recommend this fan only for people who need a non-directed, weak air flow, perhaps as an assist to an air-conditioner, or for people who are sitting 5 feet or less away from the fan, or for people who have a small space that will not allow the movement of a traditional oscillating fan head. This fan will also be useful for people who have limited mobility to adjust a fan, & who need a remote-controlled fan where air flow is not the main concern.

I bought the fan to go in my bedroom. I like all the features it offers except it needs a lower fan speed. I would like the motor to be quieter too Had to go back to my old fan which is very quiet so I could sleep. So, if it had a slower fan speed & a quiet motor, this fan would be ideal for the bedroom environment.

This is a super table top or floor fan. It is packed with nice features., in fact it's design is even attactive. You will never find another fan on the market that has the features found on this product. It has a retractable cord reel that w/be handy for storing the fan when not in use. Think you might misplace the remote control, not if you place it in the sleek compartment (molded into the side of the housing/ chassi). The timer can be set for 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours and is electronic not analog. There are two breeze settings, and the grill oscilates to direct wide range air-flow coverage. Finally, with so many features, Bionaire offers a 5 year warranty. The only negative comment I would make is that the fan is noisy. Obviously the highest speed is the loudest. The lowest setting isn't too bad. If it were not for the gushing air flow noise, this would be the ideal fan for just about any need or application.

I have noticed two model numbers for the Bionaire 12 Inch Remote Control Power Fan. Both models are identical in features and design. Contact wtih Bionaire is pending to ask whether there might be two editions/models for this product (described on this page as model # BFF-1210AR-WM). The other model is # BFF-1209R-BU which is sold by Mid-Alantic Merchant, and Ace Hardware (featured on Amazon product pages). Mid-Alantic Merchant has a great price, even with shipping charges. (I missed seeing this seller when initially searching for the product).

I also favor Soleus fans & products. I own a 10 inch Soleus fan (model FTY-25) and I do love this fan. I do believe Soleus has conquered and manufactures the "quietest table top fan" ever produced, at least this is true w/model FTY-25. Soleus only offers a 1 year warranty on the FTY-25, and most likely all their electric fans. The 10 inch Soleus fan (FTY-25), delivers as much power and air flow as the Bionaire 12 Inch Fan.

After several months of constant use, the Soleus fan stopped working and became sluggish, it was necessary to disassemble the fan (removing grill & back panell) to lubricate the motor and thoroughly clean surfaces.

Bottom line & Conslusion: If I can eventually adjust to the operational noise of the Bionaire 12" Fan (model # BFF-1210AR-WM), I'll keep my cool w/no problems.

I love this fan. The remote makes it so convenient to operate. The way this fan oscillates is great too. I want a couple more for the bedrooms. Its great outdoors on the patio too, for days when their is no wind and you want to be outside.

Primo 338 Porcelain Glazed Pizza Baking Stone for Primo Oval XL or Kamado Grill

I have purchased many of the thinner stones to use on the grill and they all seem to crack after one or two uses. They are less expensive but end up in the trash. This stone is thick and it has a porcelain glaze. I use it on my Weber gas grill to get the stone 500-600 degrees to cook pizza (simulating a wood oven). It works well and hasn't cracked yet. Clean up is easy as well because of the porcelain glaze.

I use the primo pizza stone with my Primo large oval charcoal grill. A critical part of the success is getting the pizza dough just right. Many of the easy bake doughs won't hold up to the heat without burning.

The pizza stone works very well to get the crust done well if you use a good yeast crust.

These were received undamaged, and were shipped quickly.

The quality of the shakers is just so-so ... paint was smeary, and the castings just not very sharp. The identifying "S" and "P" markings are just molded in, and are not painted, making them difficult to discern. The plastic plugs in the bottom of the shakers are made from very cheap plastic, and probably will not last very long. All in all, these guys will be just sit-around objects, and will not ever be used for dispensing salt or pepper ... I would not buy these again.
