Taylor Temp Rite Disposable Poultry & Pork Thermometer Set of 9

Taylor Temp Rite Disposable Poultry & Pork Thermometer Set of 9These by far are quick and easy to use. Takes the guess work out of grilling. They are very accurate.

These sticks allow you to get exactly the degree of done-ness that you want. Important with pork and chicken it allows you to grill just to the point of done without overcooking.

I haven't actually bought this. I'd sure like to know the temperature it changes color at. The description had absolutely nothing to do with the product!

Ronco Showtime Digital Rotisserie and BBQ - Platinum Edition

Ronco Showtime Digital Rotisserie and BBQ - Platinum EditionMy father gifted us with this rotisserie a couple years ago. We love it. I lined the back guard with tin foil (behind the heating elements) and each time I cook, I line the catch tray with foil, as well as the piece that goes on top of it, taking time to cut slits in the same places as the tray so the drippings will still run off into the drip pan. Cleanup is a snap. I just toss the foil from the trays in the trash and use a little hot water and soap to clean off the rest. I don't replace the foil on the back guard every time, just wipe it down along with the rest of the oven inside and door, and it comes clean.

We have used this rotisserie a lot and it still performs as well as the day we got it. No squeaking that I'd read about in some reviews. The kabobs are a little tricky to get the hang of (I have a hard time getting them all connected without one or another popping out, but once all are in place, they stay put). The basket accessory is really nice for fish, burgers, and steak pieces too small to fit on the large skewers. We like this oven so much, we've even entrusted it with the holiday roasts for our family gatherings.

I bought a used Ronco Rotisserie on Craigslist 2 years ago. I wish I had splurged 20 years ago!! This is the best kitchen accoutrement there is. I have roasted a gamut of meats. It is super easy to thread a chicken on the skewers and if you put the heaviest end of whatever you are roasting toward the attached or "Bottom" wheel then load it on the left side (as you face the oven), with the wheel you attach supporting the smaller end of the meat on the right side of the contraption, after impaling your chicken, turkey breast, prime rib, or pork roast you will find the weight distribution fine if you pay attention! There will be no squeaking. Just a few hints I recommend.

1. When your roaster is brand new start using cooking spray on the removable parts. Wash after each use and re-spray. Don't forget the curved guard behind the heating element! It could be that covering this smoothly with foil will do the trick as another reviewer suggested. Otherwise this is an easy oven to clean. (No pun intended!) The "broiler tray" underneath washes off easily after a couple minutes in hot water in the sink during normal cleanup, I would NEVER bother with covering in foil, don't bother! Do NOT scratch it, or foil it!!!... too much work!! I remove the door and put it in the dishwasher for crystal clean glass. I suggest you wipe out the walls each time you roast, there is a bit of splatter. Also remember to give your roaster the respect it deserves.. ROOM from flammable items. Don't tuck it under the cabinet to "Superheat" I keep mine on a cutting board and pull it out a bit so the heat will not effect it's little storage space on the counter under my cabinet.

2. Completely thaw before roasting, in water is best for a fast thaw. If you cook with the inside of the chicken is still stiff, you will not get an optimum roast it could show pink near the cavity bone.

3. Think outside the box! First dry your meat! Then enjoy coating outside and inside of bird or your meat with olive oil, and spices... Our thanksgiving with 18 people was a super success, I roasted a HUGE bone in turkey breast to augment the 22 Lb turkey, as there are so many who prefer white meat.... I never even thought that my Rotisserie would become entertainment, but everyone wanted to watch it and the aroma was heavenly!

I researched this Set and Forget It rotisserie before ordering it. There were many "con" reviews, but I decided they would be the ones to be most vocal anyway. I got the digital model since most of the bad reviews concerned the dials on the other models. So far I've done two chickens and a turkey for Thanksgiving and have been very pleased with the way the food has turned out. I'm looking forward to trying it with other things.

Real nice product for the money, this is my 2nd one. First one lasted over seven years and only died because I had it pushed up to close to the electric outlet and melted the cord... my bad... If you like prime rib you will just love this product, great for cooking whole chickens or chicken parts also. You can't go wrong with this product.

The product appears well made and I've so far been quite successful with cooking a pork loin roast, a beef rib roast, a hamburger steak, a flounder filet, and a 9# turkey breast, and all have turned out great. I think I've learned enough now to risk a good steak next! The owner's manual could be a bit more detailed , but I figured it out OK.

Biggest complaint is that the one way clip on the left side door pin slot should not be there, and I may perform a little surgery there. Then you could, after allowing door to cool down, easily remove it and take it to the sink to more easily clean it.

Jamie Oliver by T-fal C942SA64 Nonstick Hard Anodized Thermo-Spot Heat Indicator 10-Piece Cookware

Jamie Oliver by T-fal C942SA64 Nonstick Hard Anodized Thermo-Spot Heat Indicator 10-Piece Cookware Set, BlackPreviously, I've owned the New T-fal D913SC64 Signature Hard Anodized 12-Piece Cookware Set by T-fal, which I loved. I expected to feel the same way about this T-fal set. I was especially excited to try the square grill pan.

I seasoned the pans as directed, then I used the square grill pan for frying up some pork chops (something my other set of T-fal excels at). I couldn't believe how badly those chops stuck to the pan! Even after soaking the pan in hot, soapy water for an hour, I still had to use a lot of elbow grease to get it clean! It wasn't a matter of cooking it wrong either... The first time, I cooked them exactly the same as I do with my other pans. The second time, I used a much lower temperature (thinking that I may have accidentally cooked at too high a temperature the first time). Even using the lowest temperature, the chops still stuck!

After a little research, I think I've figured out why. T-fal has two different manufacturers produce their pans. My previous set (the D913SC64) is made in France. This Jamie Oliver set is made in China, and it shows. T-fal, I'm disappointed.

The only thing "unique" about this set is the Thermo-Spot heat indicator, which lets you know when your pan is heated up by turning solid red. That's a fine feature, though I don't find it terribly important-how hard is it to just wait a minute? I guess if you're in a rush and need to know right away, it's cool.

But I have several issues with this set:

1. NOT dishwasher safe. The manual says all their other sets are dishwasher safe, EXCEPT the hard anodized exterior sets. This is not made clear on the packaging.

2. Nonstick doesn't work well. Like another reviewer, I first tried cooking eggs in the small pan. They stuck like crazy! It specifically tells you not to use cooking spray or oil because it can mess up the pans, but there's no way I could go without it. I even took a photo because I couldn't believe what a mess it was to get these eggs out of the pan. I've had much better nonstick pans before.

3. Thinner than I'm used to. The pots and pans are weighty-they don't feel cheap-but they must be thinner or more conductive on the bottom than my usual pans because I had major trouble cooking pancakes... I have a gas range, and even on a low setting, the pancakes burned on the outside very fast, yet were liquid on the inside. Even after several rounds, I couldn't get the pancakes to cook right. I'll keep trying with thinner pancakes and an even lower setting.

5. Cannot be used under the broiler because of the rubberized handles.

6. The "large" saute pan is really just medium-sized... that's the one I used for pancakes, and I could really just cook one large pancake at a time. It would not suffice for a real dinner for more than one person. You'd still need to buy a separate large saute pan for everyday use.

It's an attractive set, it feels good in the hand, and it's nice to have three lids with the set, but I can't recommend it in good conscience because of the above issues.

Some of the reviews so far have not been particularly favorable, and I understand the concerns of those folk. Nonetheless, I've been thoroughly delighted with the set, which is impressive in appearance, has a decent, if not "Calphalonic" weight to each of the pieces, and stack easily in a small space (I have them on the top rack of a smallish baker's rack).

The pans conduct heat nicely and (surprisingly) evenly. I have not had any of the issues others have mentioned with things like releasing an egg from the pan, though I must admit, I use a bit of butter (always) and not cooking sprays (ever) for my eggs (or anything else personal preference). I live alone, but entertain frequently and I've had no issue with the size of the pans, though I tend to make multiple courses of smaller amounts.

The only issue I've had with this set is that I generally make my sauces in a skillet (rather than a saucepan) and the shallowness of the pans makes serving the sauce directly from the pan a bit clumsy and unnecessarily messy and when eating alone, don't feel I should have to pour the sauce from a pan into a serving vessel merely to get it onto my plate. A quick wipe up of the stove and that's remedied, but a bit more depth to the skillets would have been nice. Perhaps in the next incarnation with the next celebrity chef!

I received far more than I expected and am so delighted about this T-fal Set. At first glance I thought this is just another set of cookware and began reading the instructions. Do this and do that so you can begin using this pot or skillet. No bid deal but a bit more work than most new sets require. I started with a small sauce pan and worked my way up to the big pot along with the skillets and honestly this is one fine set no matter how you might want to classify it.

Put the raw food in, cook for a while and it's over. Clean up is a white tornado of speed. The pots and all are lightweight and tough. The little center Thermo-heat spot is there and it appears to be effective but I am too much of a novice to be an expert. The sauce pans heat quickly but when using they do not scorch nor burn the contents. Being able to see the food cook with the glass tops is another plus and makes the process just that much more enjoyable. After using all pieces I have had zero defects or problems and highly recommend this set for the amateur or the professional.

I was looking for an Anodized set because of what people say about it (twice as strong as stainless steel, professional look, etc) and I went to the stores to find myself one but they were very expensive. I could not believe I found this set on Amazon at this price. I have had T-fal product before and the non-stick is great. And I also love Jamie Oliver and what he stands for so I thought the combination of both T-fal and Jamie would be a winner.

No doubt about it, this set is awesome.

The non-stick inside is second to none and nothing sticks and sooooo easy to clean.

The outside is very pretty and should last me a lifetime.

The handles are made of a soft rubbery material like silicone so they are super comfortable to grip and it also means your pans can go in the oven at a higher temperature than my old pans with plastic handles.

The 2 fry pans and the grill pan have the red dot in the middle which tells you when your pan is at the right temperature to start cooking. I had never really used it on my old T-fal pans but I thought I would give it a shot with these new ones. It actually does make a difference. If you heat your pan (with no oil) until the dot turns solid red and then you pour in a little bit of oil your food will actually take less time to cook and will cook at the right temperature. It's a cool little feature I will be using more often.

Overall.......... a great set of pots and pans and it has all the pieces you really need to do most of your regular everyday cooking at home. The beautiful grill pan is a plus. Such a nice pan.

6-Piece Zwilling Pro Block Knife Set

6-Piece Zwilling Pro Block Knife SetRecently upgraded our kitchen and was time to update our old Henckels as well (nothing really wrong with them, but they are 10 years old). All we can say is WOW! These are a beautifully finished product. The curve from the tang to the handle is just gorgeous. Typically would not buy a boxed set so went with the 6 pc, wish would have went with the larger set. Looks like we will be buying some more of these beauties to fill the block. Speaking of the block, not a bad looking piece (one of the reasons we went with this set), however be aware it is a little on the tall side and not as angled as typical blocks, so if you are storing under some cabinets make sure you will have some room to pull the knives out. Other than that we highly recommend!

WearEver A827SC64 Cook and Strain Nonstick Stainless Steel Handle Red Metallic Exterior 12-Piece Co

WearEver A827SC64 Cook and Strain Nonstick Stainless Steel Handle Red Metallic Exterior 12-Piece Cookware Set, RedI have owned this Red cookware set for about two years now (before finding it on amazon.com)and i have to say that it is the best set i own.I love the color, i love that it is NON STICK(no matter what you cook, it does not stick on the pot), i like the fact that i can pour out water from the sides if the pot like a kettle. It is easy to wash and it does everything it was designed to do.Trust me,when you buy this cookware set, you'll love it as much as i do.

...pots and pans, but the spatula and stuff that comes with it are cheapy. One handle on the large pot gets hot when I am cooking (which is weird because the other side is fine to touch) and there is one lid that the top gets hot on (but others are fine). Weird but other than that great set! If you remember to use pot holders then it will be fine :) They do heat evenly and do not scratch easily. Overall good product!

I have had Tfal for many years but they were getting pretty bad. These I picked out for the lids and sizes of the pans, dutch oven, etc. Nothing sticks, no need to own a strainer, if one does a lot of cooking, would probably need a larger set, I don't.

Ideal for someone looking for a functional and inexpensive starter set. I've had them for a couple of weeks now and they work nicely. I haven't had any major issues other than the handles getting hot when using them on the stove but this is to be expected since they are metal. As long as they are hand washed and properly taken care of (i.e. properly treating them so the non-stick works and using plastic or wood utensils) this set should last you for a while.

Want WearEver A827SC64 Cook and Strain Nonstick Stainless Steel Handle Red Metallic Exterior 12-Piece Co Discount?

So far, I've had nothing but joy from this collection of nonstick pots and pans. The included nylon utensils help you to make certain you do not damage the nonstick surface, and as long as you care for these pans, nothing seems to stick to them. They can be washed almost as easily as my ceramic pan.

The strainer lids are also exceptionally handy. These were a major selling point for me. I hate to have to get out the strainer or colander all the time. It's a pain to deal with it, and it's a pain to clean. The strainer lids allow me to make most dishes without bothering with external strainers. They are secure and snug, and the handles don't seem to get very hot, either.

If you're looking for a good set of pots and pans, this is a great set. I highly recommend it. The price is decent, they look nice, and they do the job very well. I consider this money well spent.

NEW, Set of Two (2) 14½-Inch Long, Grill Spatula, Turner Spatula, Barbecue BBQ Spatula, Solid Stai

NEW, Set of Two 14½-Inch Long, Grill Spatula, Turner Spatula, Barbecue BBQ Spatula, Solid Stainless Steel, Flexible Blades, Riveted Smooth Wood Handle, Commercial Grade, One Perforated Face Spatual and One Solid Face SpatulaI purchased this set of spatulas for outdoor grilling. They are an excellent value and work very well. I would recommend hand washing since the handles are wood, but that isn't any fault of the product.

PROS -

1. Good length. When you're working over a very hot grill, it's nice to have your hands out of the way. These do the job.

2. Good quality stainless. I've run these through the dishwasher and they don't start to spot or corrode. Not all stainless is equal, but these appear to be a good grade.

3. Brass rivets on the handles. These should be durable.

CONS -

1. A little flimsy. As mentioned, the stainless is good quality, but it's a little thin. It also means you get a lot of flex, so flipping larger or heavier items might require assistance with the other spatula or a set of tongs.

2. The handles don't feel firmly attached. Nothing has fallen off yet or anything, but the handles don't feel like they're firmly sandwiching the shank.

I over looked the handle part on other reviews but they were right it gets lose after it gets wet from wash, seems that the wood shrinks which makes it lose.

Sagaform Stainless Steel BBQ Skewers with Rack 7 Piece Set

Sagaform Stainless Steel BBQ Skewers with Rack 7 Piece SetPro: Good size, not too small. The rack is tall enough. Some other ones I found on Amazon were not all enough to keep food away from, well in my case, a bed of hot char coal.

Con: Teflon coated. While the title says stainless steel, the actual rack and skewers are coated with Teflon or similar material.

At least these are somewhat easy to clean, but the rack definitely gets well heated. I specifically wanted a stainless one without any coating since I'm using it directly on charcoal and camp fire. Teflon will not withstand that kind of heat.

I'm not sure if the inside is stainless (didn't feel like scratching off the Teflon and take a look), but the failure to mention the coating in either the product title and the description page gives it a two star rating.

Weber 41455 20 Pound Tank Adapter Hose for Use with Weber Q and Go-Anywhere Gas Grill

Weber 41455 20 Pound Tank Adapter Hose for Use with Weber Q and Go-Anywhere Gas Grillthe small screw on tanks work very well. But when using the adapter hose on a 20 lB tank the flame is too weak to grill, especially when the outside temp is in the 40s or lower.

I've tried slowly turning on the tank valve waiting a bit before lighting the grill, but the flame is still too low. I'll have to wait til summer before I can use the 20# tank with adapter hose again.

EDIT: After trying the procedure below I'm up and cooking again with full force even with it being 35 degress outside.

BYPASS INSTRUCTIONS

GAS GO ANYWHERE, WEBER Q + BABY Q

Since 1995, all regulators on gas barbecues have a safety device which restricts the gas flow in the event of a gas leak. You can inadvertently activate the safety device without having a gas leak. Typically, this occurs if you open the LP tank valve too rapidly, or if the valve + regulator assembly is in a slightly open position when opening the LP tank valve.

Your must remember when you are grilling you should always do the tank valve first and then the valve + regulator assembly when you start grilling or stop grilling. Never turn off the valve + regulator assembly before the tank. Gas is trapped in the valve + regulator assembly and adapter hose and the next time you turn on the tank, that residual gas in the line will back up and trigger the safety device.

Also, when you start grilling, you should open the tank valve V-E-R-Y S-L-O-W-L-Y, about ¼ turn at a time until it is all the way open before you turn on your valve + regulator assembly to light the grill even is it takes 30 seconds to a full minute. If you've just had your tank refilled, it has a lot more pressure in it at first than after you use it for awhile. That may trigger the safety device sometimes, too. These conditions can be recurring. If it happens again, then you will need to go through the reset procedure again.

If you do activate the gas regulator safety device, the barbecue will only reach temperatures between 250 and 300 degrees, even with the valve + regulator assembly on the HIGH setting.

TO RESET THE GAS REGULATOR SAFETY DEVICE:

Open the barbecue lid.

1. Close the LP tank valve.

2. Turn valve + regulator assembly to the OFF position.

3. Wait at least 5 minutes if the barbecue had been lit

4. Disconnect the adapter hose from the LP tank.

5. Turn valve + regulator assembly to the HIGH position.

6. Wait at least 2 minutes, then turn valve + regulator assembly to the OFF position.

7. Re-connect the adapter hose to the LP tank.

RE-LIGHTING THE BARBECUE:

Open the barbecue lid.

1. SLOWLY open the LP tank valve 1/4 turns at a time all the way open.

2. With the lid open, turn valve + regulator assembly to the HIGH position.

3. Ignite the grill by pushing the crossover ignition button.

4. After the burner is lit, close the lid.

5. The barbecue should reach 500 to 550 degrees in 10-15 minutes.

WHEN YOU ARE DONE GRILLING:

Turn off the LP tank valve first

Turn valve + regulator assembly to the OFF position.

If you continue to have problems or questions, please refer to the "Support" section on our website at www.weberbbq.com and look under "gas grills FAQS" or "charcoal grills FAQS" or call us.

I bought the Charbroil Model#4623 46" adapter hose from Home Depot for $17 (also at Lowe's @ same price). It is the same hose as Weber but much cheaper. I matched both hoses together and both were identical down to the tags and warnings, the only difference was the packaging and price. The hose works well with 20 lb LP tanks and last way longer than the 14.1oz tanks.

Buy Weber 41455 20 Pound Tank Adapter Hose for Use with Weber Q and Go-Anywhere Gas Grill Now

I'm very pleased that I purchased the 20 lbs tank adapter hose for my Weber Q grill. The Q is our primary grill. We've always used portable grills in this way, but we love the Q so well, we use it much more than other portables we've owned. Also, the Q takes the smaller 14.1 ounce propane tank normally used for torches rather than the 16 ounce camping tanks. It really didn't make practical and economic sense to keep using the small tanks on a grill with the Q's capacity. But still I purchased this item with some trepidation. I'd read AMAZON reviews reporting that squirrels will eat through the grease splattered hose. My property is in an Oak & Hickory grove, so I have squirrels in over abundance. These guys have been known to augment their diets with my garden plants, but gnawing greasy hose sounds much more like mouse & rat behavior. I took a chance. So far no trouble. I'm using a homebuilt grill table with a 2 X 3 granite top and a generic grilltofloor length vinyl grill cover. (The weber Q cover only encloses the top of the grill) These might be a factors. A little Capsaicin , (the element in peppers that makes them hot, fond in products like "Squirrel Away"), might help the folks with gnawing issues. The 4" hose is quite long enough to reach from the grill port, under the table to my tank with ease and installation is very simple. I bought the adapter and my very first 20 lbs propane tank the same day and I was grilling that evening. I do agree that it would only improve the adapter if the hose were enclosed in say, metal mesh. But that would undoubtedly increase the price. I think at the current price point the 20 pound hose adapter is a great addition that grants me more use and enjoyment of a great grill. I still think it was worth the risk of rodent interference to get this adapter compared to the cost of 14.1 ounce propane tanks over time. But I admit to hedging my bet, If the hose gets oily, I'm keeping a shaker of cayenne pepper handy to sprinkle on it just in case.....

2011 Follow up to my earlier review:

After several years of good use, my adapter hose was finally taken out by rodents during winter storage. Fortunately, someone out there listened and in March of 2010, I was able to purchase a stainless steel adapter hose

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000THEZR8/ref=wms_ohs_product_T2

I used the stainless hose for a year have been very pleased with it. The hose fit the tank and grill ends fine and is a good length to reach from grill to tank. Just this month I replaced my Weber Q with a Weber genesis 320. (The Q still works great, but I wanted more BTUs.) The new grill has its own hose which is enclosed in a cabinet, so I'm not too worried about grease spills. I am however, hanging on to the stainless hose just in case the rodents get restless again. It looks like the hose I purchased is no longer available at the link above, but an Amazon search on "Freedom Grill FG-50HA Stainless Steel Propane Hose Adapter", brings up some other brands that might be worth checking out.

Works great. Be sure to wait the prescribed time (~ 1 minute) after opening the valves otherwise the supply is reduced to pilot lite strength. I speak from experience. Duh.

Want Weber 41455 20 Pound Tank Adapter Hose for Use with Weber Q and Go-Anywhere Gas Grill Discount?

Excellent product, however, the directions are not clear as to proper hook up. Once the adapter is connected, you should turn on the propane tank and wait at least 5 minutes before igniting the grill. This step ensures that enough pressure builts in the regulator(the round thing on the side of the grill) and will produce a strong flame.

Sharp AF-S125RX 12,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner

Sharp AF-S125RX 12,000 BTU Window Air ConditionerThe cooling ability of this product is very good. Installation was pretty easy. A couple of things that need improvement it is a bit noisy; the front grill (the one that directs air) is "too open" allows dust/litter inside. Also, there is an opening on the top of the air-conditioner's body (the part that remains on the outside) my old unit only had the openings on the sides and for that reason the inside of the air-conditioner remained cleaner. Also, the openings that are located on the sides are not protected my old air-conditioner had "owning"-like metal protections on each opening on the sides of the unit this also prevented the insides of the air-conditioner from water and street litter.

I have the Costco version of this AC. It is cooling a top (4th) floor, ca. 300-350sf apartment in Boston. The apartment faces North and West and gets a lot of sun. This unit evaporates most of its condensate very few drips reach the ground an older 5K BTU unit dripped almost continuously. It kept up fine with the hottest day we're likely to get in Boston (100F, 55% RH), running continuously during the hottest part of the day at a 68F thermostat setting, translating to 72-74F throughout the apartment, at 40-45% RH. It's worked great for the two months I've had it. Two possible downsides: 1) The filter doesn't catch everything I have a down comforter that sheds, and I find down in the fins, behind the filter. 2) Unlike many ACs, it doesn't have a dehumidification mode, which could be useful in Spring/Fall. For $250 it's a deal, and I would purchase it again.

Only had the unit for one day. Installation was easy but the window mounting accordion sidings are kind of flimsy. Also there is a design flaw in that the bottom of the unit has a grooved portion protruding right where the unit is suppose to sit in the window. This causes it not to be completely flush with the bottom of the window sill by maybe 1/4 inch at most. But this opening was enough for me to feel air from the outside rushing in and I'm sure its enough to allow bugs and spiders to crawl inside. I'll probably close it off with some all purpose silicon or something. Beside that the air blows nice and cold and for $249 at Costco its a good price comparatively.

the air conditioner is not bad. the only down side is that it's a little bit noisy for sleep time using.

Le Creuset Hi-Tech Kitchen Textile Oven Mitt

Le Creuset Hi-Tech Kitchen Textile 14-Inch Oven Mitt, CherryI like the look and the length of this mitt. The only drawback is that if you have to hold something hot for longer than 2 or 3 seconds, you really start to feel the heat. For the price, I expected it to protect better.

The part of this glove that covers the hand is made out of a terry cloth type material. It will pick up any drop of what you are cooking and require a washing. It's not worth the heavy maintenance.

These holders do not protect from heat. As someone else noted, after 2 to 3 seconds, you DO feel the heat. They also singe easily, even when you're simply holding a very hot item (like off of the grill). They look cute (which gets 1 star), but they're going in the trash if I can't return them.

This is the second pair of these mitts I have had and they are by far better than any other oven mitt I have used. You can carry any hot item across the room comfortably. They are long enough to protect your forearm in the oven yet flexible enough to grip any shape object. Just toss in the washing machine and they clean to a like new appearance. I highly recommend to all.

I bought these mitts a while back and have enjoyed them ever since.

Other reviewers have mentioned that they dont insulate for long periods.

I have not found this to be an issue. (I generally dont hang on to a super hot pot or pan for more than a minute.)

They look great and fit very well. (better than others I have tried.)

They feel good on your hands.

They cover a large part of your forearm.

I think these mitts are great.

Goo Gone Oven & Grill Cleaner, 14oz

Goo Gone Oven & Grill Cleaner, 14ozEven if you have a self-cleaning oven, you know that (1) the cleaning cycle does not get all the grime and (2) you may not want to run it frequently as it takes hours and (3) the racks cannot be put through the cleaning cycle. So "Goo Gone" Cleaner works to clean up those spills. Just spray on the foam, let it sit for a while to dissolve the carbon and grease, and wipe it away. You're not supposed to line your oven floor with foil. If you read the instruction book, it tells you that clearly. So eventually, you are going to get a spill. If you treat the spill with Goo Gone, you will maintain a clean oven Burnt spills are mostly carbon and need a strong alkali cleaner to break down the crust; this does the job. But it's relatively fume-free, which is nice.

Your broiler pan, if you have one of those enamel and steel pans, is also difficult to keep clean, and this does a very good job removing the black crust that won't come off after you do a regular wash.

It also is useful for barbecue grills. I put mine out on the driveway on newspaper and spray away. Then a quick brush with a wire grill brush and rinse off with the hose.

This will help you maintain your oven like new and keep your grill ready to go for summer barbecue.

My oven hadn't been cleaned in years. I used this product and it's very good. Because my oven was in bad shape I cleaned it 3 times in a row and it was spotless. The smell wasn't great but definitely not as bad as other oven cleaners.

Like the other reviewers, I bought this because of the quality of their other products.

After spraying this on and leaving it for 45 minutes, the result was that the baked-on grease was "weakened", but I still had to use a Scotch-Brite to scrub it off. It does NOT easily wipe off as the label claims. I cannot believe that this is the best thing available on the market.

Folks, seriously question the 5-star reviews here, and the people behind them.

I bought this product because the other goo gone products I've used in the past have worked. This does not. It removed the surface grease, but I could have done that with a scrubby sponge and some dish soap. It didn't touch the baked on stuff. Worse was the clean up. The more I wiped the more foam I got. I finally used a whole roll of paper towel to wipe out the foam, then went back with a damp cloth to wipe the residue-even then I created more foam. The only thing to say for it was the fumes were mild, but it still made my eyes water a bit when reaching into the back of the oven. I liked the look of the spray nozzle thinking I would have more control over it. I did, but it was a pain to cover everything. This product is not worth the time or the effort.

Ronco ST3001SSGEN Showtime Compact Rotisserie and Barbeque Oven, Stainless Steel

Ronco ST3001SSGEN Showtime Compact Rotisserie and Barbeque Oven, Stainless SteelFirst, let me say, this cooker makes the best darned chicken I have ever had. However, the first time I used mine, numerous BBs appeared in the drip tray. Thought it was a fluke but there they were the second time as well. Small metal balls, that could be lead for all I know. I tried calling the 800 number on the back of the oven, only got voicemail, and no return calls. I tried the customer service email and fax that came with the oven undeliverable. And I have been trying to get response from Ronco ever since. So, great product if you get one that works, but be advised, if you need support, you're pretty much out of luck.

I did some research online and figured I'd give this rotisserie a try. I love it. I just tried it today for lunch. I followed the very simple instructions and my chicken came out perfect; juicy, moist, tender with the perfect golden glow. Since this was my first try, I wanted to see what it would taste like if I didn't use any spices or butter. It tasted like chicken you would get at a 5 star dinner. No salt or anything, nothing was added and it was great! The meat pulled right off of the bone. If you have a loved one that's not so great in the kitchen yet you like a great meal, get them this as a gift just because you love them and or your stomach.

I found it easy to clean after it cooled down just a little but I wouldn't wait to clean it after setting around for awhile as I can see how it could harden and be much harder to clean the grease. Because it was still warm, all I had to do was use a warm, wet cloth to wipe away the grease from the clear door and sides. I used foil inside the drip try which got tossed out with gease and all.

This Rotisserie is actually a decent design, but typical Ronco TV infomercial cheaply made-in-China materials and construction. Very inaccurate timer and I could not read it until I added a dab of heat resistant white porcelin touch-up paint to highlight the pointer. Ronco uses the stickiest non-stick materials I have ever encountered. Rather than use chrome or license more expensive and time proven non-stick technology, Ronco uses a version of black spray paint that does not come clean no matter what you do to it. Tempts you to take a Brillo pad to it, but that would likely expose something even worse. I fear, that the sticky build-up on the spit and basket could eventually become a fire hazard.

Also, it smokes a lot, so put it very near your stove hood and turn the fan on.. or use it on your porch or patio.

If you put the spit on the spit stand right out of the oven, which Ronco does on his infomercial, the stand will melt.

Not worth the aggravation and I expect this review will get deleted PDQ.

We Love it, it is very compact and easy to clean up I have cooked our Turkey in this and the Juices stay put..no clean up..one problem is that you can't use the juices for the dressing..but I can live with it (just boil your Giblets) use the juice from it save some for the Gravy. I prefer the Juice's being in the Turkey still..You can not go wrong with this simply set it and forget it..I tie the Turkey on and rub on squeezy butter, salt and pepper..and for 14 mins per pound..take's 1 1/2 2 hours depending on size..and it's done. Didn't like doing Bratwerst Sausage's on here way too messy..but a pork loin turned out wounderful and still juicy..also I did Salmon hint: be sure to put it in tightly as it will shrink some. Wonderful product..I brought 2 more for gifts this Christmas one for a friend and one for the my Father-in-law..who just Love's it too..I paid $79.99 and free shipping for this product super deal since now it's $116.99..

Rome's #1305 Panini Press Cooker, Cast Iron with Steel and Wood Handles

Rome's #1305 Panini Press Cooker, Cast Iron with Steel and Wood HandlesThis is a cast iron panini press. Which means it is heavy, especially with the long handles. Because it is iron , you need to cure it before using it the first time, so that it will not rust over time. This means you unscrew the handles, place oil in side the surface of the press and leave it in the oven for an hour so that the oil seals the surface. This is a one-time thing. Once you start using it, you should avoid using water to clean it, use a dry sponge or paper towels. One useful feature is that you can unhook the two surfaces, and place each one on a burner to preheat the press before using to make the paninis even faster.

The paninis come out outstanding. I use it on a gas burner at home, an electric burner would not work. I have not tried it in the grill or outside, but reckon it would work as well as in the gas burners.

I have used the Foreman-type panini makers that you plug in, put the paninis are infinitely better with this product. I would use the plug-in type only to make a grilled cheese sandwich for the kids.

Some tips with the paninisuse the best bread you can find, like a baguette, make sure the filing has adequate salt and paper, rub olive oil on both outer surfaces to get the crispy crust, turn often and open the press to see the toasting progress.

Enjoy!

I loved the idea of getting a cast iron panini cooker because I wanted to avoid the nonstick panini grills out there. It is a very heavy piece, so if the user has problems with hand/wrist strength, this may not be the item for you. The unit is made to be used on the stove (electric or gas), cooking the panini on one side and then flipping over to the other. The two cast iron plates come completely apart at the hinge, and you then have each plate attached to a metal rod with a wooden handle, making clean up easier. However, if the handle problem is fixed, I believe that this would be a really nice item to have in the kitchen.

I gave this only 4 stars because when I attempted to unscrew the metal rods from the plates in order to place the plates in the oven to "season" them as instructed, one wooden handle started spinning around the metal rod, and therefore I could not unscrew it from that plate. Looks like the handles are poorly attached to the metal, and should be secured much tighter. So, I am returning the unit after not having been able to test it out, so I can't speak to how it works.

I bought this as a gift for my mom and dad. They used it and said that it made a great panini sandwich. They will definitely be making many more!

We go camping a lot and I was looking for some healthier foods to take along; I thought panini might be tasty and fun. This maker is solid cast iron and very heavy and does well in the campfire. The handles screw in and remove easily for cleanup if desired. There is a rather cheap little hook clasp to hold the two handles together when making a sandwich, and I find it difficult to undo when the maker is hot from the fire, but it actually does do a good job of holding everything tightly together so you get a perfectly cooked sandwich. Toasting a sandwich in this method just makes the flavors come alive, and you really can use just about anything to make your sandwiches. Just some dense bread, sliced deli meat, cheese, onion, arugala, and red pepper hummus made our first sandwiches. The maker comes with a cardboard wrapper that has printed instructions for seasoning the cast iron, along with a little history of panini and some recipe suggestions. I followed the seasoning directions and my first few sandwiches stuck just a little but were easily popped out with a knife. The non-stick surface will develop with time, I'm sure. Used a vegetable oil to season it but now found a sunflower oil spray for making the sandwiches. We also use this at home on a little gas grill but it doesn't get nearly as hot as a campfire and the cook time is much longer, but it still works. This really is ideal for grill or campfire, but make sure you have someplace to set it while cooking. You really wouldn't want to try to hold this heavy maker for 8 minutes or so by the handles.

I needed to lose weight in order to lower my blood pressure and I decided to cut back on my caloric intake.Cooking for myself I thought that vegetarian panini's would help me control my weight. This panini maker is just what I needed.Buying club rolls at my nearby bakery,I hollowed them out and filled them with all kinds of vegetables and low fat cheeses. After spraying the inside with olive oil,and on a low-medium flame, this cooker cooked the panini to prefection in 6 minutes (three minutes on either side).Voila perfect, crunchy panini.Since it's solid cast iron it will last a life time!!
