this is the second raclette purchased. first one, unanamed, too slow and food not crisp enough. this one, however, heats up fast, cooks the food crisp and is very roomy. bottom takes a small fry pan. have made veggie burger with english muffin, topped with coleslaw which came out great. also made veggie soy chicken cutlet dipped in egg white and coated with panko crumbs and italian seasoning. came out crisp and juicy. so it's great if you're into occasional meatless meals and wondering how to cook them so they don't taste too "nerdy" this is the way to go.

T-fal Simply Delicioso Nonstick Dishwasher Safe Hard Enamel Caldero with Glass Lid Cookware

We are the one-pot-meal enthusiastic kind of family and this pot turned to be our best friend immediately. It's actually our second one as the first pot's teflon surface started chipping quite soon. We did not use any sharp tools for stirring, however few times we used the top heat settings, what is not recommended. The rest of our T-fal pots and pans are however holding completely OK, which is maybe also a reason, why this new one arrived with obviously new surfase technology (they probably experienced some more cases with the old one...).

I am not sure if this all writing is understandable therefore the bottomline is:

This product is superb for frying, one potting, gratinating and baking and the 2nd generation teflon surface makes it much more durable than its predecessor.

We had a T-fal fry pan with the 2 short handles that we used all the time. We liked that it was easier to store than a traditional long handled pan. After it finally wore out we tried to find another without any luck. We then came across this Caldero. While its not really a fry pan, it actually has worked out better as its more versatile. We are also going to be getting the larger version as well.

I bought this product because I liked the color and also loved the glass lid. This pan works so wonderfully, it's the right size for so many dishes! I love the fact that you can see what's cooking without removing the lid and they were very smart with the design putting a hole in there to release the steam. Very clever indeed! Would definitely recommend this to all my friends.

This pan is perfect for a variety of things. I am surprised at how often I reach for it. The only negative, if you want to call it that, is that it's lighter and thinner than my other pans. Considering it's size, I really can't call it a real negative for me. Very pleased.

Overall a great purchase, they came ahead of schedule and well packaged. The fans are easy to mount to the back plate, and the material the back plate is made out of is pretty darn good, not just some cheap plastic.

The fans themselves are very quiet and nice quality. It came with plenty of screws and even screw plugs to cover any holes!

When I save enough to build a better cabinet for my equipment I will most likely order my cooling stuff from these guys.

Also, other reviews said that the holes didn't line up right, however as of my order they line up just fine so maybe they fixed that. :)

I got this to help my PS3 cool itself in my enclosed entertainment cabinet. Without it, the PS3 sounded like a jet engine trying to cool itself, even with the doors on the cabinet open. I installed this fan in the back of the cabinet and plugged it into the PS3. Now, whenever the PS3 is on, the fans run and stays nice and cool. The fans on the PS3 even seem to run quieter now that this is helping to pull the hot air away from the system. Definitely worth the investment and slight hassle of installation.

I purchased this to go in the cabinet at church that houses our computer for our big screen. The cabinet was always warm inside. Once I installed this, it is not as warm anymore.

Assembly was easy, just make sure to have the fans point the correct way before you install this. It will save you having to take it back out and re-install it.

What I like about this is that it runs on the USB from the computer, so when the computer is off, this is off, and likewise when the computer is on, this is on. I don't have to worry about someone forgetting to start or stop it.

It's a bit noisier than I'd like kind of rattles I can hear it when nothing else is on and I had it plugged into my XBox360, which the USB port on it runs all the time.

I fixed that by getting a USB extension cable, and plugging it into my reciever (Sony STR-1020, recently purchased from Amazon), since it powers the USB port only when turned on....I don't hear it now.

Seems to move enough air to get the job done, though I've yet to play my XBox since installing it simply due to a lack of free time, so I can't say that it'll do the trick with absolute confidence, but I'm very certain that it will.

I installed this into a TechCraft XLN62 TV Stand/Console/Cabinet that I'd recently purchased even though it's well designed and has vents through the bottom, back and shelves, the air doesn't move well as the heat rises and stops against the top, and has no where to go...it would get pretty hot in there hotter than I'd like. I had to trim the back panel to make it fit (thanks Dremel!) and then reinstall the fans so they blow out instead of in, install the finger guards, and screw it to the back panel/cabinet. Looks like it belongs there, so I'm happy with my ability to install it ;)

Short of that, it's a pretty straight forward, and it should do the trick. I think it was worth the money...

Arrived UPS in fine shape--uses mini-wooden pallet inside heavy carton for protection. I have cooked two beef stews (one for 15lots of left overs-every one in family loved it and took some home and my dogs got some after a week). Another for about 40 in a pot luck Birthday event--still leftovers and everyone raved over it. Cooked one over fire and coals and one over a propane burner. Fire adds ambience but burner is bit quicker and easier but noisier. I will probably do wood when I have time and propane when away from home. Stand is well designed and sturdy for coal or gas. Unit just fit in my Oven for curing--twice at 500 wth Crisco and fan on high. Recommend the cover lid of course, the wooden stir paddle (paddle slides under lid handle to remove from pot) and big 22in aluminum laddle. Am looking to buy Lodge folding lid holder now. Next year plan on event for 150 hungry cavers, butterflied young steer on big outdoor grill, and will use cast iron pots for the sides. Highly reccommend for large group, leisurely cooking with low failure rate,and added ambience. Great addition to your outdoor cooking if you don't mind handling 50-60 lb empty pot (the included pot hooks work well).

The product is well constructed if you get all the parts! I did not receive the ring that the pot goes in to place on the stand. After talking w/Mike from Bayou he told me he could not help that I needed to have Amazon contact them. So Amazon did w/ me on the line and Mike still wasn't helpful. I mentioned this product came from his company and by him not supporting that, this is poor customer service. He said I was Amazons customer not Bayou. I said you are selling your product through Amazon and you are supporting your product to me the customer.

After Timothy from Amazon spoke with Mike from Bayou he finally said he would look to see if he had 1 and would might call me back in about 30 min if he finds 1 to ship.

After spending 56min of my time on the phone Amazon wasn't sold that Mike from Bayou was going to follow through so is making it right. Too bad I spent approx $200 after shipping and still had to fight w/ manufacturer to get what I needed to be able to use the pot as intended.

It is packaged well and the pot had a layer of oil or grease on it. No rust. Took 5 minutes to get that oil off.

The casting is fairly rough, decided to smooth out the inside a little. Angle grinder with a metal grinding wheel for high spots, then put on a sanding pad to smooth it up. Watch out for the 3 stubby legs, they'll scratch whatever it's sitting on. It's a shame you can't find good cast iron anymore.

The pot does just fit in a full size oven for seasoning. Used Crisco at 300 degrees for an hour. Did that twice. Then spent an hour cleaning the burnt Crisco droppings off the bottom of the 2 day old range ! Suggest putting aluminum foil under the pot.

Cooked bacon it a few times to help further season it. The smell of bacon cooking outdoors really attracts the neighbors!

Made a pot of jambalaya for 50 people, all the men (and quite a few women) were fascinated with the cooking and stirring with a 3 foot long paddle. Yeah, you do need a strong paddle to stir, alot of food weight to move around. Those lifting hooks came in handy, pot alone is +-40lbs, with food in it 70lbs plus, it took 2 of us to move it.

The stand is sturdy, good thick steel. They screw into the metal pot ring, allowing a little adjustment for leveling. Sits right over top of my propane burner. The feet just slip over the 1/2" steel rod legs. They don't stay on, don't think I'd trust them on grass or dirt. Maybe glue or weld them on.

Hopefully lasts a long time, don't trust the quality of materials used in China.

The Good: Heavy Duty, solid, frame well-built and should last. 7 gallon size perfect for a party of 20 to 50 people. Great for jambalaya, but also can be used as a fish fryer, chicken fryer, french fryer, chili, gumbo, or other soups.

The bad: the casting had a few rough spots that I had to smooth out using an angle grinder. This is common with most cast iron today; folks like the old Griswold company and its perfect cast iron, or Lodge's higher end USA made iron, aren't around anymore in this size.

Junior Grill Brush Brush: Stainless/Black Steel

I've gone through quite a few grill brushes -some work okay and some just suck. The two biggest problems I had with all of them are: (1) their inability to clean between the grill slats and (2) the bristles getting matted up. The junior grill brush easily and wonderfully solves both of those problems. This rush made mince meat of any cruft deep down in the grill slates and the bristles look brand new and are still vertical.

The weight and bulkiness does make this a bit harder to store. With our other grill brushes I'd leave them hanging on the grill all the time. Since this is wood I don't think it is a good idea to leave it outside to the elements (especially rain). So, I store it in our deck box. I do wish it already came with at least a hole at the end of the handle so that I could hang it while I am using the grill.

Simply Calphalon Nonstick 11-Inch Square Griddle

A really fine pan for those weekly pancake breakfasts. Not as heavy as the more expensive Calphalon pans, but works just as well. I use it with a bamboo spatula so expect it will last for many, many years. Only disappointment is that it was made in China, not Ohio, like my other Calphalon pans, but that probably explains the good price.

This griddle is great for grilling toasted sandwiches, making pancakes, even frying eggs 'sunny side up' on your stove top. Being 11", it fits nicely over one of the large burners of my stove, so it heats evenly. I can easily cook three 'quarter-cup-of-mixture' pancakes, or two sandwiches, or four eggs at a time. The low edge makes flipping very easy.

The exterior is a dark gray non-chip hard anodized aluminum, and does not seem flimsy in any way. The interior a non-stick interior surface, which makes clean up a breeze. As with all the pieces of the "Simply" Calphalon line, it has a chrome handle with a silicone inlay for heat transference, so you pick it up without a potholder.

I am glad I purchased this as an additional piece to my new "Simply" Calphalon set. This griddle (as is the "Simply" Calphalon 10-piece set I added it to) is made in China.

I have found for pancakes (and omelettes) you need to buy a good quality pan and this Caphalon has been great. It gives even heat, which is really important for good pancakes. It is a bit big to store but still smaller than a typical 12 inch large frying pan that most families have. I am very careful to use a Silicon Caphalon large spatula to keep the surface nice. But so far, so good, the surface has held up so far.

Bought this to replace a very old Calphalon that I ruined by putting in the dishwasher. This one works great. It heats evenly and doesn't stick at all. Makes great pancakes.

Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 11-Inch Square Griddle

Our Calphalon griddle was "dead-flat" and worked very well when it was new; I would have rated it at 5 stars.

Unfortunately, after about a year or so, the bottom bulged downward; so much so, that it rocks to and fro on the very center of the griddle on our glass-top electric range. [My wife had always cleaned it in hot water, since we knew putting a hot griddle in cold water could cause this to happen.] It's still usable but most of the griddle's bottom no longer touches the range's glass top.

We replaced the Calphalon with a Circulon Elite Nonstick 12" Round Griddle; its bottom doesn't bulge. The Circulon is also aluminum, but has a heavy bonded-on stainless steel bottom plate. The total thickness of the bottom is about 3/8", versus 1/8" for the Calphalon.

Our package arrived somewhat damaged on one end and was heavily taped up. Forunately, none of the wood pieces were damaged, but it turns out that we are completely missing two sets of door hinges. At the moment, we are having to leave the two end doors off. For what this piece cost (about double what I would expect), I was not very impressed with the directions (drawings), the hardware (one door handle is defective) or how the whole thing fit together (especially door alignment). I'd like to obtain some door hinges and another door handle but have not yet decided whether to contact Amazon, Stacks & Stacks in California or Plateau in Canada.

Eastman Outdoors 90414 BBQ ZaGrill's Pizza Pan

This pizza cooker works really well. I have a grill large enough to use 4 at a time. A couple of hints for using the cooker ;turn pan 180 degrees ocationally for more even cooking and when dough is just starting to get firm, slide a non stick spatula under to lift dough out of the holes in the pan.

I really wish I could give this product a good review. The pizza turns out great and the company has great customer service. But, unfortunately the product is seriously flawed. I bought two of these and the first pizzas I made were good and we ate them, but then I was cleaning the pans and realized the surface had come off. I could see it on the bottom of some of the uneaten pizza. Sure doesn't look healthy, but we'd already downed them. So I called the manufacturer and with very little discussion they sent me two new pans that I received just a couple days later. Super customer service. This time I well oiled the pans and used prodigious amounts of flour on the bottom of the pizza. The problem was much less but the pizzas were still peppered with the pan coating. When the pans are clean you can see the bare spots where it flaked off. This can't be healthy and frankly even though the company was very supportive, the product should be pulled for safety reasons. Bummer! If anyone knows of an alternative that doesn't flake please reply. Maybe there is a cast iron pan out there with holes I could use on top of the heat shields?

This is an excellent addition to both the outdoor and indoor kitchen. Zagrill makes a great pizza on the grill, is easy to use, and clean up. The pizza cooks up evenly, and the crust comes out crisp, the toppings and cheese evenly cooked, and the crust does not tend to fall through the grill racks as it had before on me. Regulating the temperature on the grill posed a little challenge, by using the outside burners, as opposed to the burner directly under Zagrill, I was able to keep the temp at an even 350F. When I use this in the oven, I use the Zagrill one level below center position in the oven, and have had many great pizzas,stuffed breads, and calzones.

I use this for hand-tossed pizzas and it works quite well. It takes about 11 minutes to cook in a grill that has been pre-heated about 15 minutes. The pizza cooks evenly and the crust is perfectly done. My only gripe is that I wish you could get a bigger pan so that one could cook a larger (14-17") pizza.

Za Grill makes great pizza. The big secret is that just using the bottom part and closing the gas grill you can bake almost anything! We bake quiche, pies, chicken etc. and don't have to heat up the house! We have 2 Za Grills so we can cook 2 pizzas at once or larger quantities of other food.
