I need tongs that I could count on not having food slip out of. These work great, large enough area to hold the food and great gripping edges.Want Cuisipro Stainless Steel Narrow Grill/Fry Tongs Discount?
I rec'd these as a gift (with the larger/wider set as well) and have reached for them everyday since! I know, it's odd to be raving over tongs, I get that. But they are SO great and have a very high-end feel to them don't hesitate, you'll love them. The push/pull lock is fantastic, as well a very clever addition making these far and away one of my favorite gadgets in the kitchen.Wednesday, April 9, 2014

Cuisinart GR-35 Griddler Compact
I highly recommend this model (GR-35)This little griddler-that-could answers the question: How do I cook quick and healthful meals daily. I've used it just about every day (and sometimes twice a day) since it was delivered, almost two weeks ago. I've had splendid results each and every time. It cooks like a champ and clean up is an absolute breeze. No splattering and the drip tray is adequately placed to catch any drippings. The stainless steel design matches my other kitchen appliances and, because it's compact, it doesn't take up much countertop space. An attractive and welcome addition to my kitchen. I'm so very glad that I purchased this product but may need to order a backup in case I overwork this one!

Heats well, works great for sandwiches. But, beware anything juicy/fatty. It will create a nasty mess.
The plates are interchangeable, which is a nice touch, but it'd be better if one is a dedicated 'bottom' plate and is truly designed for catching and funnelling juices/grease into the catch pan. In my experience (typically bacon), the drippings don't move well to the back of the plate and well up in the back of the plate when it does get there. The opening sometimes gets backed up (not stuff, simply doesn't flow) and the grease stays at the back of the plate. The back wall of the plate is not as tall as the front wall of the plate and drippings will spill over the back of the plate onto the counter and INTO the cooker itself.
Today I discovered the issue of the grease in the cooker (UNDER the metal plate holding the heating element). I had tipped the cooker over to clean the back feet of the cooker (because grease spilled over, again) and grease poured out of the bottom of the case. I unscrewed the heating element plate and saw puddles of grease in the plastic case. Inside the case there are plenty of little corrugations and other spots for the drippings to collect making it near impossible to thoroughly clean. Unless it all gets cleaned up the drippings in the case are going to go rancid and start to emit an ugly odor.
If I buy another cooker like this again, I will definitely inpect the plates.I recently purchased this product and so far everything I cooked (from grilled cheese to burgers filled with cheese) turned out great. The temperature is easy to control and the manual comes with a guide as to which temperature to cook each food. It's REALLY easy to clean. We are just two at home and it's the perfect size. If you have a larger family or like to entertain, I'd go for something bigger, but for a small household it's just perfect.Love, love, love the griddle. Great even cooking, nice size for small family, or when you don't want to haul out your big electric grill. I found them at costco like the previous reviewer on sale for 29.99 today. They have a instant rebate of $10 from the normal price of $39.99. Bought several for wedding gifts. I also love Amazon, but Big price gap.

Oven Rack Cleaner 3 Pack
He cleaned all three of our oven racks in 1 bag. He did shake it fairly often and instead of leaving it in the bag 8 hours, he left them in about 24 (not sure why). But now my oven looks like it did the day we got it and I couldn't be more thrilled!
I highly recommend this oven rack cleaner!

I hate cleaning racks in our self-cleaning oven. They must be cleaned separately and since we broil meat in our oven the racks are plenty messed up. I am, by nature, a pessimist and I did not believe that Carbona would work. Imagine my surprise when after an overnight soak they were as clean as if they were new. Only a little scraping was necessary where months and months of cooking had turned the grease to varnish.Read Best Reviews of Oven Rack Cleaner 3 Pack Here
My range (Maytag Gemini) has two ovens a smaller, single rack upper oven and a larger, double-rack, lower one. I usually clean the racks by soaking them for several hours in the bathtub with ammonia and water, rinsing them, changing the water and then dissolving a couple of dishwasher gel packs in the fresh water and soaking them overnight. It does a fair job, but tends to scratch the tub and also ties up use of the tub for quite a while. The ad for this product sounded optimistic, so I gave it a try.
I followed the instructions carefully and put all three racks in the bag, poured in the solution and left it overnight. I took out the smaller oven rack, which wasn't all that dirty to start with, and it had cleaned up fairly well. No one would mistake it for a new rack, though. The two other racks were still visibly dirty, so I left them overnight again. I just rinsed them and could see very little change from the way they started out. I scrubbed the racks with a Scotch-brite sponge and still couldn't remove some of the baked on grease.
Back to the bathtub.
Save your money this stuff doesn't work.

I was skeptical about this when I saw it on the supermarket shelf. I was actually looking to buy one of those spray cleaners and saw this for the racks. I figured I'd give it a shot, and like the box said, my racks look brand new. I hadn't cleaned them at all since 2006 (I know, I know...ick!) and after years of spills, I was finally disgusted enough to get them clean. I honestly did not expect them to get so clean. I thought the bag would break, but it didn't and I had 2 full-sized oven racks in there. I decided to have them rest for the 8 hours in my bath tub just in case there was spillage, but the bag helf up very well. So, overall I'd recommend this product to anyone.Pros:
*cleans years of grease off very easily
*returned my oven racks to "new"
*I did not have to get my hands dirty at all
*very minimal scrubbing to wash off any remainder of grease, but it came off easily
*the cleaner did not seem to me to have any harsh fumes at all, but then again, I didn't come in contact with it for long just to pour it into the bag and close the bag.
*Excellent price for what you get and what the product does
Cons:
*It's annoying that it takes 8 hours to get it clean, but I rather have that then to do the work myself which would take as long and have worse results
*Because my racks slant up at the edge, they didn't sit flat in the solution. I had to go and shake up the bag to make sure the solution kept coating the racks, but I did this maybe 2 or 3 times through the entire process
*I didn't know if the plastic bag was recyclable afterwards or not; I ended up throwing it away because it came into contact with the cleaner, but I wish there was a way to recycle it (or if it can be recycled, it should be clearly labeled)

Quirky Porter Grill Caddy
Buy Quirky Porter Grill Caddy Now
I got this as a gift for my husband, since everytime he grills he makes multiple trips and dirties up a variety of containers. This makes it to where he can carry everything in one trip, and cuts down on dish-washing. We even used it to serve hot dogs at a picnic condiments, paper towels, and all to our neighbors and kiddos a couple weekends ago. It was nice to not have to carry everything out separately.Saved a lot of trips back and forth to the house for start-up and serving. Works great LOVE the serving tray.Very easy to clean and very helpful when making BBQ's outside. Made of what appears to be good plastic, grease comes off easily and is very sturdy. Very happy with this item.Monday, September 23, 2013

Works as advertised. As many reviewers mention, best for a "thicker" sauce; any straight liquid mop sauce would be best applied with a spray bottle or regular wood and cotton mop. Doesn't have to be a really thick sauce for this to work, mind you; if it can somewhat coat the back of a spoon, you can use this on your meat.Want Kingsford Texas Silicone Sop Mop with Removable Head Discount?
My mop head fell apart after a year, and I only used it about six times at most. Poor workmanship.Saturday, September 7, 2013

These aren't very good pans. They come up in the center and no I didn't over heat it either. They cook very unevenly too. Ok for the price i guess. Not as good as the old basic essentials that i have, the quality has changed. : (Now I've had these a almost a year and I have to say they are CHEAP and not well made at all. They say dishwasher safe but I always hand wash pans because they tend to bow after a while. Well these bowed without ever putting them in the dihwasher and I've always heated them on low or medium. You get what you pay for.

Emeril by All-Clad PRO-CLAD Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Dishwasher Safe Fry Pans/Saute Pans
I own the full 10 piece emerilware pro-clad set. This is a larger pan that the set does not include. The pan itself is flawless in construction. The handle is shaped right to divert heat so you do not need a hotpad holder while cooking on the stove. The full tri-ply construction seamlessly melds an aluminum core between two layers of stainless steel for optimal heat spread. it is priced very reasonable, considering this pan is made by all-clad, who sells an idenically constructed pan for far more money. You're essentially getting all-clad quality for a bargain price.
There's a lot of caveats to owning a stainless steel pan over a non-stick. There are also a lot of advantages. cooking on stainless steel is different than non-stick. You won't make eggs in stainless steel. anyone who tries A) doesn't own a nonstick pan, or B) is a stainless steel fan who can't admit the limitations of the pan. Stainless steel is designed to stick! that's why we make meats and other savory dishes in stainless steel. after its cooked, we have all those wonderful bits on the bottom! we deglaze with wine or broth, and can reduce the liquid and make a sauce or gravy out of it. You can't do that with nonstick. For making Eggs, flatbreads, corn and four tortillas, pancakes, and especially creppes, I still will use my old trusty 10" nonstick skillet. While I may be able to cook some of those items in stainless steel, I'd have to use a large amount of grease to prevent sticking. I can just pam spray my nonstick and go for less calories and less headaches.
Some people also complain stainless steel is harder to clean. high temperature paints a rainbow over your pan, and things that stick can be hard to unstick without using abrasives that will scratch the pans. It's easy if you know two great products.
1) distilled white vinegar. This will take off all rainbow effects and waterspots, and disifects as well! I always keep a spraybottle of the stuff in the kitchen for sanitizing surfaces and pans.
2) for restoring the shine to your stainless steel, and getting hard to get out stains, try barkeeper's friend: cookware version. This version can be bought from the barkeeper's friend website (just do a google, I don't think I'm permitted to link outside amazon in reviews even if amazon doesn't carry the product). The cookware version is formulated to not scratch your pans and makes them look new. leading stainless steel makers like allclad and calpheon all reccomend this product to clean. Infact, I just received a 4pack of the 12oz bottles in the mail today.
Overall, I think you can't go wrong buying any emerilware pro-clad pan. Its quality stainless steel at a great price.I needed an 8" for omelets, I love this. 8" good for 1 egg ok for 2 egg Omelet, 10" good for 2 egg ok for 3 egg Omelet. New cooking info at bottom.
I copied this from the FAQ page on All-Clad website, the best cookware in the world;
20. What are the differences between All-Clad and Emerilware?
All-Clad bonded cookware is made in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. All-Clad offers the best in professional cookware and utensils, for an ultimate cooking experience. Emerilware is the result of the successful collaboration between All-Clad and chef Emeril Lagasse, and offers high-quality colorful and authentic cookware. Emerilware is made in China.
New info, alot simpiler then what I had before.
Extra info: for Stainless Steel cooking which is very non-stick if done right. Never cook with higher temp. than 1/2 throttle, I usually dont need that much heat. Dry heat pan long enough. When you drop water on it, and it sizzles the pans not ready yet, the pores are opening and closing. When the water just rolls around evaporating slowly the pan is ready to cook on, get used to the warm up time. For eggs add a little oil, I prefer Coconut oil because its very healthy. For meat and Bacon, oil is your choice but not nessecary, it will stick at first so dont try to move it. After a few minutes it will release, if a little brown is left stuck to pan the heat was too high, but no problem scrape and fresh oil before the eggs go in.
Clean up is easy, a scrubbing sponge works nicely. Discoloration, and burnt resin usually on the bottom flame side, I use "Bar Keepers Freind, Cookware" about once a week
Buy Emeril by All-Clad PRO-CLAD Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Dishwasher Safe Fry Pans/Saute Pans Now
I have been using this pan almost a year now. Many reports say the food sticks. It will if not done right. If you preheat the pan to proper temperature before putting in the food, stainless steal pans do not stick. For info on how to preheat stainless pans go here:I use it mostly for scrambled eggs and it works great.
Amazon did not show the link I reference. But you can probably do a web search on how to preheat a stainless steel pan and find it.I own the 10-piece Pro-Clad set, and the 12-inch pan. It took me a couple of weeks to learn how to use these pans. At first, everything was sticking, and cleanup was a hassle. But, I didn't give up, and read up on how to properly cook with stainless steel pans. When the directions tell you to cook at a lower temperature, pay attention! that turns out to be the key properly managing the temperature. It turned out that even though I *thought* I was cooking at a lower temp, I really needed to drop the temp even more; about 20-30% lower than I was using for my older anodized aluminum non-stick cookware. Once I figured that out, I've had no problems. I cook fried eggs, scrambled eggs and even omelettes in these pans, using nothing more than some cook spray. When used correctly, these pans are very easy to clean up, too. Most of the time, a wash cloth or dish sponge is all I need. Sometimes, I need to break out the Bar Keepers Friend Cookware Cleaner. After a few months, these pans still shine. Other positives, they heat evenly, and react quickly to changes in heat (I have a gas stove).Emerilware is great stuff. Some of the best cookware you can get without going All-clad. Emerilware has two lines Pro-clad and Stainless. Pro-clad being a little higher on the quality scale. The picture for this item is the Pro-clad. You will receive the Stainless. Still a good deal, would have been a great deal for the pro-clad. A little deceptive.

Grill Brush with Stainless Steel Bristles and Long Wire Handle - Tougher than Brass or Nylon - Fath
I felt very appreciated as a paying customer by the Alpha Grillers team. They sent me a free e-book with recipes, a series of general barbeque tips and a one year money back guarantee. You can tell these guys care about barbeques and that means they care about their customers too. I'm a tough marker but I give Alpha Grillers a solid 5/5.This is hands down the best grill brush I have ever owned. I loved the bonus cookbook that was included from the seller's website, as well as the follow up emails with even more tips. Great product and superior service. My Grill Brush arrived earlier than I expected and on time for the big weekend out-back grill. Cleaned up with ease and used a bucket of water as directed to keep it wet when the grill was hot. Cleaned it up in half the time of my old block cleaner (Horrible). So I would recommend this to anyone and also would mention that the e-book was full of recipes I want to try.My dad grills all the time and was just complaining about his
old grill brush. How it was getting rusty and bending the bristles on
it even though he takes good care of it. I know he's going to like this
one much better!I got this as a birthday gift for my brother-in-law. He is always grilling but not always great on cleaning his grill.
This is a really great product! It is really sturdy, made for this job and will last a long time. It is going to be a lot better than what he has been using to clean his grill.
I can't wait to see it in action (and how clean that grill is)! Will keep you posted after I see it in action.
