Wolfgang Puck Indoor Electric Reversible Grill & Griddle

Wolfgang Puck Indoor Electric Reversible Grill & GriddleHeats ups quickly and evenly; I've cooked everything from pancakes, to paninis(griddle side) and steak, shrimp and burgers (grill side) with wonderful results. The griddle side gives me good browning and crisping, while grill side cooks evenly and leaves great grill marks. Also does a good job of keeping food warm.(I don't even set it to "warm", I just unplug it). The grease trapper is the same size as the grill/griddle, which is good and bad because if you're cooking for a large group, you don't have to worry about the trap overflowing. But the bad news is that the "trapper tray" isn't dishwasher safe. But the grill itself is, so that's good news. But once again, it is pretty large (I can fit 6 pieces of French Toast comfortably), so you'll need a next-to-empty or very large dishwasher to make it fit. All in all, great grill and I'm very happy with my purchase, and 2.5 years later, it still works great even with my husband and kids abusing it. Oh, one more thing, sort of off the subject: If you don't own or haven't used the product you're reviewing, it makes it difficult to review the product. Customer services rants are not helpful and should be aired out in another venue.

I've been trying the Presto's, only to find that my eggs run to the center. Pancakes were troublesome because these other grills couldn't get quite hot enough.

Finally found this Wolfgang Puck. Perfectly flat eggs don't roll at all, staying in a circle. Gets hot enough to make really good pancakes and is big enough to make four. Haven't tried the grill side yet.

Surface heating seems to be uniform. I browned all four pancakes to the same level of 'brownness'.

UPDATE (June 2010):

The numbers on the thermostat wash off within 6 months. You will not be able to determine temperature settings. Manufacturer is unresponsive.

Buy Wolfgang Puck Indoor Electric Reversible Grill & Griddle Now

I like it. The next best thing to a commercial-grade grill. The entire surface temperature appears to be even as I don't see a difference in how quickly items cook on one side versus the other or the edges versus the middle. Any griddle you buy will be a pain to clean (isn't cleaning ALWAYS a PAIN?) but this one cleans relatively easy. The griddle/grill lifts off the base and there is a drip-pan underneath that is also removable.

Only problem I have, which is not really a problem with the griddle, is that I can't be running too many items in the kitchen while I use it because it will trip the Kitchen Outlets' circuit breaker.

I purchased this item in November 2011. I used it 3 times when I noticed that it was not heating evenly. I called the 800# on my instruction book to order a replacement part. It is now April 25, 2012 and still no part. I call every 2 weeks to check on it and get the same story. It is backordered and should be in within 4-6 weeks. I am really frustrated with this and will not recommend this grill because of the replacement part issue. I think it could be a great item and I do realize that everyone makes a "lemon" once in a while. I feel like I have been very patient-I even put off writing a review in hopes that the part would be here and I could write a favorable review. I wish they would just send me a new grill instead of having to wait on the part since it has been so long. I have no faith in this product or the customer service at Wolfgang Puck.

Well, it now almost the 1st of June and still no part for my griddle and no idea when the backordered part will be in. Would never buy another Wofgang Puck product.

This is the greatest griddle we have ever owned. We love how it cooks food evenly. The only complaint is the product itself wasn't in mint condition. The black plastic around the handle areas had many little chips. Unless pointed out they are barely noticeable. Seems like a manufacturing flaw not damage from shipment. This was the second one reshipped and it had the same flaws on it.

Cast Iron 15" Reversible Stovetop Grill Griddle

Cast Iron 15' Reversible Stovetop Grill GriddleThis is also a present I got for someone this x-mas, but it is real cast iron steel and heavy.

A perfect sized grill for 2 burner camp stoves the coleman type, not the camp chef type. Of course you could use this with a camp chef, but it fits perfectly over both burners on the coleman type. Extremely solid (like all cast iron, I suppose) so it's good to go over a camp fire as well. It's a good design with the griddle on one side (with grease catch trough) and grill on the other side.

Sunbeam RG12 Rocket Grill Electric Grilling Appliance

Sunbeam RG12 Rocket Grill Electric Grilling ApplianceI have owned this product for over 6 months. It is awesome. I have yet to have to clean anything. I cook a lot of hamburgers, chicken patties, breasts, fish etc. Everything has turned out great. The bags are a little expensive but the saving in time, paper towels, soap the expense is worth it. I do think this is more a single person's item because there isn't a lot of room in the bags for two chicken breasts etc. I hope when mine wears out they are still making them.

update: Stopped using the grill a long time ago. Main reason was that it flattened(squished) the food a little bit too much. Still buy the generic bags that are cheap on the sunbeam website and use the bags with a grill similar to the George foreman. If they stop making the bags, I will just use parchment paper for ease of cleanup. If I only cooked hamburgers, chicken patties and similar items this would still be a great product but for the room it takes up and the fact that I would need another type of grill for other items, it wouldn't be worth it.

I have had my Rocket Grill for almost a month. I am sure I will be using it a lot. Everything I have cooked has turned out great: chicken very tender and juicy; steaks, pork chops, pannini sandwiches, hamburgers. I quickly realized that sometimes frozen foods won't work some pork chops I had frozen were too big to get into the grill until they thawed! I am eating at home more often now that it only takes a few minutes to cook.

This is perfect if you want quick burgers, chicken etc that is juicy and not dried out. I can't stop using it!

Revised 1/24/2009... Back to a 4 Star Rating! I found my receipt on Amazon for the purchase. Lo and Behold I had Six Weeks left on the One Year Warranty. I called Sunbeam and in a minute or two they promised to ship me a brand new unit. All I have to do is cut the cord and trow the old one out. Can't beat that deal.

Revised 1/13/2009.... Worked for about six months before it died. Since you use little pouches to cook the food and I have 25 of them left the grill worked exactly 25 times before it broke. Now it blows the GFI protected circuit after being plugged in for 15 minutes. I therefore dropped the four star rating I had on it to one star.

This grill makes great toasted sandwiches. I use sub-rolls, with the hard 'cracker-barrel' brand cheddar cheese and ham, bologna, roast-beef you name it. Set the timer to 4 minutes and forget it. The sandwich comes out pressed together and toasted with the neat grill marks. The cheese is melted and the meat nice and warm. Tuna Melt? Fan-tas-tic.

On the down side... big and bulky. It is tall so you can not store it on a normal kitchen cabinet shelf. I have to put it in the pantry.

It does not handle frozen food well at all. Special heat setting for using a frozen hamburger patty and they always come out over done. Steak doesn't have that grilled flavor we all love.

But for those of you out there with kids that need a sandwich for school this baby will cure the same-old, same-old blues the kids get come the third quarter marking period.

Want Sunbeam RG12 Rocket Grill Electric Grilling Appliance Discount?

I've tried a good many grills, but none can compare to this one. You can take a frozen hamburg and cook it well done in 3 1/2 minutes. I've grilled chicken came out just wonderful. I've grilled frozen chicken kabobs, again only took a few minutes. I've made panini sandwiches, bread comes out nice a toasty and insides are warmed. I've even done a grilled cheese sandwich in it. Clean up is a breeze. Throw the bag away. And talk about the fat dripping away because it's like a toaster, all the fat drips into the bottom of the bag, aware from the food. Best grill I've ever had. You won't regret getting it.

Kalorik CC-20575 700-Watt Combination Grill and Sandwich/Waffle Maker, Stainless Steel

Kalorik CC-20575 700-Watt Combination Grill and Sandwich/Waffle Maker, Stainless SteelPros: Nice variety of grills, Compact Storage, Temperature Control

Cons: Difficult to Clean, NOT dishwasher safe, Limited Capacity

Best Uses: Snacks, Quick Meals

Beautiful design, temperature controls, one of the very few indoor grills that makes real sandwiches instead of paninis, but it's way too small for much else! Place two sandwiches side by side -that's exactly the size of the grilling surface! As if that weren't bad enough, the grills aren't dishwasher safe! So close and yet not even in the ballpark.

I wanted an appliance that could make waffles and grilled sandwiches this seemed to fit the bill. However, the sandwich plates were too small even for regular grill cheese sandwiches. The button used to open the appliance got stuck on occassion eventually (after 4 months of weekend use) the clasp broke, making the appliance unusable.

Buy Kalorik CC-20575 700-Watt Combination Grill and Sandwich/Waffle Maker, Stainless Steel Now

I thought this would be great for its versatility and liked its sleek design but I am quite disappointed. It cooks waffles incredibly slowly even with the temperature dial set to the highest setting. I have used other waffle makers before and this one takes easily 2-3 times as long to cook the waffle. It is not great for grilling sandwiches as it does not have a floating hinge so can only grill the thinnest of sandwiches ...or you have to squish your sandwich into a pancake. I would not recommend it.

All-Clad LTD 11-Inch Square Nonstick Grill Pan

All-Clad LTD 11-Inch Square Nonstick Grill PanI bought this pan after hearing my sister rave about it. It is terrific. I have grilled salmon, hamburgers, chicken breasts and pork tenderloin. Luckily, my sister gave me the secret to using the pan and easy clean up. Preheat the pan on Medium heat for ten minutes. DO NOT use any cooking spray or oil. This will ruin the pan. When you are done cooking, just fill the pan with soapy water and let soak for a few minutes. Rinse with water, scubbing lightly if necessary .

I would highly recommend this pan. It is like having a grill inside!

I've used a couple of other grill pans from other manufacturers and was never very impressed. But I decided to give it one more try with the All-Clad. What a difference. Everything I've made from fish to vegetables, soy burgers, steaks everything, has come out great. I've also found that it cleans up easily after a quick soaking. I don't use any spray and only oiled it as per the instructions the first time I used it. Northing sticks. Overall, a great pan I use several times a week.

Buy All-Clad LTD 11-Inch Square Nonstick Grill Pan Now

I've owned this grill pan for almost 2 years now and it does a great job of grilling everything from burgers to chicken, fish and thick steaks. It has the ability to heat up to a very high temperature, enabling me to nicely sear the outside of the meat. I can then pop the whole pan in the oven to finish cooking the inside of thick steaks or just to keep warm. As for clean up, the pan does need to sit and soak for a little while but after that, everything comes off with relative ease. No hard scrubbing involved. Overall, I love this product and highly recommend it.

I have only owned this item for about 3 weeks and have used it at least 10 times already. What I like about it is that it is big enough to hold just about anything, leaves nice "grill marks", takes less energy and time to heat the pan, and it is very very easy to clean. If you find it hard to clean, it is probably because non-stick spray or even oil (not including butter) is being used. Don't do it. It is already "non-stick". Usually I put any oil that is needed on the meat or veggies first, then cook it. If you have a sticking problem, after cleaning the pan, rub a little soft scrub 0n the spot. This gets rid of any residue that may have caused the sticking to begin with. I think it is better than George Foreman, becuase the fat doesn't drain away which, in the end, saves the flavor.

Want All-Clad LTD 11-Inch Square Nonstick Grill Pan Discount?

We recently purchased a new oven featuring 3 Induction heating sites. We bought the oven b/c it was the counterpart to the new Refrigerator we bought and we really didn't know much about the induction heating feature. B/c I didn't read the manual at first (in my defense, it was an oven I didn't expect to need to do much reading), none of our new cookware worked with the induction burners (but some of our old stuff that we had already packaged to give to Goodwill did) so I thought it was either broken or I was doing something wrong. After reading the manual, we realized the problem you need specific types of cookware to use induction heat.

I had just spent a fairly significant amount of money buying a complete set of higher end Calphalon cookware none of which ended up being induction compatible. So we went to Macy's to try to find some items that would. After some research, we saw there were specific lines of Calphalon that were compatible so I bought two more frying pans, and three pots. When we got them home though these ones didn't work either. When we returned them, the sales lady mentioned "All Clad". She said it was the best stuff you can find on the consumer market, and that it's all induction compatible. It's expensive she warned, but it's worth it. I had just spent close to 700.00 on the Calphalon stuff so the All Clad Price tag was enough to make me do a double take expensive it is. To that end, I decided to try a few pots, so we got a 6qt, a 4qt, 2qt, 1.5qt one and a few other all-clad misc items.

We immediately tried a few of them out and my wife was amazed at how well it worked. Not only was the heat immediate (which you get with induction) but everything cooked up really well. Even though it's not like traditional teflon (or even calphalon) the non-stick aspect was phenomenal. She was so thrilled with it, that she talked me into getting a few frying pans (at this point it was way too late to return the Calphalon set I had bought for Christmas so we figured we'd have them both use the Calphalon for the regular burners, use the All-Clad for the induction ones). (I know get to the point). Well , this item was one of the 4 frying pans we bought (and strangely enough, was the only one that wasn't induction compatible).

The only thing negative about it, (and maybe I'm being unfair I should have done a little more homework, but I was told that *all* AllClad items were induction compatible) is that it didn't work with the induction heat. However, it was superb in every other respect so definitely decided to keep it.

Short of intentionally trying to get something to cake on to it by like frying glue and paint in it, I don't think you can get anything to stick to it. We're still getting used to the over so have burned a few things and even when we did, nothing stuck to it. We made cheeseburgers and a lot of the shredded cheese fell over the side. With the calphalon it's not much of a problem, one wipe will get it off. But we could use the spray from the faucet to get off everything burned on it. The cooking surface is quite large and the pan itself is quite sturdy. Because of its depth, even if there are grease splatters, the splatters are largely contained in the pan.

You have room to cook a tremendous amount of food and can easily cook completely different items in the quadrants of the pan (like Eggs on one side, burgers on the other) Because of its size it lends itself very well to using the "Dual" feature of the burners. It's balanced perfectly so despite its weight, you can easily lift it and move it around without having to use anything to protect your hand from the heat.

This particular pan was also considerably cheaper than all of the other AllClad items we had bought, in fact I think it was right in line with a typical Calphalon pan so that may be why it wasn't induction compatible. Also, although I did criticize it for not working with induction it wasn't the company that told us it would, it was the saleslady and it's certainly understandable that she may have just been confused.

The look and feel are testimony to how well it's built. We're new to this product but I think it's safe to assume it'll go out of style long before it'll need replaced. Functionally, the way that it distributes heat is really impressive even if all of the heat is focused on the middle part of the pan, the outer aspects still conduct heat to a very similar extent. If you use the Dual feature, things just cook faster but the heat stay evenly distributed in either case.

Finally, the packaging was really nice (All Clad takes a lot of care with their packaging reminiscent of what you'd see if Apple made frying pans), it arrived early and other than the induction issue, it's pretty much perfect. It is very easy to cook with. It distributes heat extremely well. It has a broad cooking area which is complimented by deep sides allowing you to use to for many different cooking scenarios. It's perfectly balanced so despite the weight, even an elderly person with arthritis would have little problem using it. To top all of that off, the handle, although made of polished metal, doesn't conduct heat so irrespective of how hot the pan gets, the handle never gets hot. From start to finish it's a well crafted product that's definitely worth the price.

Grate Chef 501-1100 Steaming Grill Brush

Grate Chef 501-1100 Steaming Grill BrushI was very skeptical about this product but thought I'd give it a try because we use our grill very frequently and it gets very dirty. I added 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice to the water reservoir before adding the water. To test it, I tried cleaning a section with the Grate Chef without pressing the water button (i.e., like a regular wire-bristled grill brush) and then tried the rest using the button to add water as I cleaned. The difference was pretty amazing. It cleaned the grill beautifully in no time.

I suppose you could try using a damp rag and a regular brush but that would be very messy. The bristles seem to be of good quality and I expect them to last awhile.

As my grill heated, I filled the reservoir with water and lemon juice. However, when I tried to clean the grill little or no water came through the grill brush. The brush is quite sturdy, so the grill was a little cleaner after using the brush even though no steam appeared on the heated grill. I am very disappointed in this product.

Buy Grate Chef 501-1100 Steaming Grill Brush Now

I ordered this product from Amazon, got in in the mail a week later. The first time I used it, the bristles started falling out and nothing would spray out of it. Went straight to the trash. That was a quick waste of $15.

Read Best Reviews of Grate Chef 501-1100 Steaming Grill Brush Here

The GrateChef Steaming Grill Brush delivers a large amount of water and steam cleans the grill completely and quickly. It sometimes leaks slightly if totally filled, but can be easily filled from a squirt bottle (4 oz suggested). or a narrow stream from a kitchen faucet. If you want a steam cleaning grill brush that really works, get the CrateChef Steaming Grill Brush. I have over 15 grill cleaning brushes, scrapers, etc, including the ones recommended by America's Test Kitchen. The GrateChef is the only one that cleans completely and easily.

The Grill Daddy Pro delivers water at a slower rate, and requires a much longer time and forceful scrubbing to work well. It is difficult to fill in most kitchen sinks, because the sink center divider limits how much you can tilt the long brush. You have to repeat a partial fill and tilt operation several times.

Avoid the Grill Dozer, it is well made but totally useless as a steam cleaning brush. The Grill Dozer Steam Cleaning Grill Brush is totally useless for its intended purpose. It holds only a tiny amount of water and produces a very weak spray from a single nozzle on the front edge.

Want Grate Chef 501-1100 Steaming Grill Brush Discount?

What a disappointment this was. I know it's not a real "steam" brush but I thought it would work better over the Grill Daddy so I bought it over that. Before I got to use it on the grill the loop hole broke off, then I tried to tie the "leather" strap that came with it around the handle so I can still hook it on the grill, that broke in pieces with every little pull I put on it. The brush does not hold much water in the handle and I've easily used all of it before the grill was clean. When it's fullm the water squirts out nicely for a few pumps but then it just trickles out. This is a regrettable purchase and I will move on to the Grill Daddy. My brother in-law has Grill Daddy one it seem to work fine for him.

Music City Metals 64362 Matte Cast Iron Cooking Grid Replacement for Select Gas Grill Models by Broil King, Broil-Mate and Others, Set of 2These grates...sadly didn't work on my Broil King...the reason is that the nubs on the four ends of the grates are too long which don't allow them to fit...if I could cut them shorter...they would fit and all would be fine.

Sunbeam Rocket Grill - Indoor Grilling Machine

Sunbeam Rocket Grill - Indoor Grilling MachineI have purchased hundreds of dollars worth of cooking appliances looking for the one that would make my life in the kitchen easier. I have tried George Foreman Grill, Convection toaster ovens, Lightwave ovens, Turbo oven, Electric Counter top Grill, Pressure cookers, Crockpot slow cookers and many more. None of them comes up to expectation. And the one that is decent you still have the cleaning up to do afterward. That little cleaning chore makes cooking for the single guy not very appealing.

The Rocket Grill is the answer to all the single guys. Just prepare the food, put it in the parchment pouch and cook it per instruction. The food comes out delicious. And if you don't season it, it still comes out acceptable.

The only cleaning up you have to do is to throw the bag in the trash. I myself use a scissor to cut a little slit at the bottom of the bag and drain off all the juice into the kitchen sink before throwing it away. I don't want the juice in the bag to be media for microbial growth after a couple of days in the trash container.

For me, following the instruction gives perfect results. I have read on Amazon reviews where others recommend an extra-minutes or two. But after a couple of use, you should get a feel on what is the proper methods.

But the best part about this product is the parchment pouches. It makes cooking no longer a tideous chore. As such you are willing to go back and try & try again until you get the feels of what is the proper methods to cook on the Rocket Grill. You are willing to try & try again even after reading the Amazon reviews that give you conflicting ideas about how to use the Rocket Grill.

I whole heartly recommend the Rocket Grill. I heard that when the Rocket Grill first comes out, it was $125. I am glad that it has comes down as I would have never gave it a try at that price. And I would have missed out on such a great product.

Thank you Sunbeam for such a great product.

The rocket grill is the best kitchen appliance I've ever purchased! It cooks meats perfectly, and there is absolutely no clean up. Steak that isn't frozen cooks in 4-5 minutes with beautiful grill marks, and the meat is juicy and delicious. I haven't cooked frozen meat yet, but I've been told it does great with that as well. I have no idea what the person who gave this one star is talking about. Maybe they have this machine confused with something else, because the Rocket Grill is fantastic.

We bought one because the "no mess" sounded wonderful. The first few times we used it, we thought it was great. Then we realized there IS a mess whenever the bag leaks down into the lower parts of the machine, and it will! We didn't even know it was doing it at first. Also, it gets irritating to have to purchase the bags which aren't that cheap. We ended up throwing the thing away, as there just isn't a way to clean way down in the bottom. I always end up going back to my cast iron frying pan!

Primo 338 Porcelain Glazed Pizza Baking Stone for Primo Oval XL or Kamado Grill

Primo 338 Porcelain Glazed Pizza Baking Stone for Primo Oval XL or Kamado GrillI have purchased many of the thinner stones to use on the grill and they all seem to crack after one or two uses. They are less expensive but end up in the trash. This stone is thick and it has a porcelain glaze. I use it on my Weber gas grill to get the stone 500-600 degrees to cook pizza (simulating a wood oven). It works well and hasn't cracked yet. Clean up is easy as well because of the porcelain glaze.

I use the primo pizza stone with my Primo large oval charcoal grill. A critical part of the success is getting the pizza dough just right. Many of the easy bake doughs won't hold up to the heat without burning.

The pizza stone works very well to get the crust done well if you use a good yeast crust.

Bryson CITRUSHINE StainlessSteel Polish (Blue)

Bryson CITRUSHINE StainlessSteel PolishWhen we purchased two stainless appliances, the appliance store gave us a nice supply of this product claiming "it was the best one out there". I tried it and loved it. We finally ran out went back to the store only to find they couldn't get it anymore. So what did I do, I went to Amazon and luckily located it. It's absolutely the easiest to use, doesn't streak or need touching up. I ended up recommending this product to a friend who owns a cleaning service. Her cleaning people love it. And it was delivered quickly.

I bought one bottle a year or two ago when I got my new dishwasher, and it lasted that long! I just purchased my second bottle.

When I first used it, I did not like the fact that it leaves a bit of an oily residue on the dishwasher. So I tried mineral oil and other stainless steel cleaners, but nothing worked as well.

You do have to wipe it in well and evenly. It does a good job of getting rid of water spots. You cannot use a damp rag to apply because it does not mix well with the oils. For a streak-free shine, simply apply with a dry paper towel.

Camp Chef reversible 24" cast iron griddle grill NEW

Camp Chef reversible 24' cast iron griddle grill NEWI wanted a larger cast iron grill to be able to cook mulitple things at a time and this fit the bill. It just about completely covers my outdoor gas grill. The handles are convenient for lifting it to clean as it's fairly heavy. I've done salmon on the side with ribs and vegetables, bacon, pancakes etc. on the flat side. The only minor issue I have is that the finish on the flat side is a bit rougher than I'd hoped but it seems to be getting better as it gets more seasoned.

i chose this item because I have learned that my ginger bread turns out better when baked on an iron surface. I have a very small pan and wanted a large one. I ordered this one much to large for my oven, so I have decided to my replace my wall oven with a larger one, so I kept this griddle. I used it at my sister's house, and can't wait to use it at home. Thanks.

Our Camp Chef griddle is an excellent surface for cooking on, it is the companion to our Camp Chef "Tahoe" camp stove.

We used the pair on our one week fishing trip, excellent for bacon, eggs, burgers, fried potatoes even did a great job for beef and pork steaks at dinner, we made coffee, sitting the pot on one end as the griddle was 24 inches long.

The seller never contacted us when we needed to change the shipping arrangements but that is not Amazon's nor Camp Chef's fault.

The shipping was fast and the price less then ordering directly from Camp Chef.

All in all we shall purchase through Amazon again.
