I own many of these products and they are great. I was dissapointed, the first one had paint chips and I ordered a new one, then the second one did as well and I just decided to keep it. Other than that, this is an excellent product.

One word of advice, use a soft cloth to clean and do it when it is hot. I had to replace two of these because I used a plastic scrubby thing and the non-stick surface began to bubble and peel.

This product is great! Easy to clean and the foods cooks in half the time with no mess. Highly recommend it.

I replaced the same grill after a few years because I originally didn't have the knack for cleaning it and had damaged the grill plates somewhat. Now that I learned how easy it is to clean the plates correctly, I wanted a new one to replace the one I damaged. I chose the same one because it does a great job grilling steaks, hamburgers, hot dogs, etc. and it is large enough for my family. I am totally satisfied with this grill and chose the same one for this reason.

Sunpentown SS-301 Multi Cooker Shabu-Shabu & Grill

I was given this set to use for shabu shabu. I know it has other uses but that is all I'm giving a review for. The set is nice and of reasonable quality, the fact that it can be used for other methods of cooking is convenient. Now for the shabu shabu review, after one use I plan on returning it. If you use the unit for heating up water or broth from room temperature you will be waiting a long long time, your best boiling your liquid and then pouring it into the pot. Even though this is the approach I uses the unit was not able to keep the liquid above 154 degrees Fahrenheit. It took a long time to cook even a small piece of meat and much longer for vegetables. For one person this may be doable but for more than one person (two people in my case) it adds a damper to dinner. I would not recommend this unit for anyone for shabu shabu. I have another shabu shabu pot which I will try this week, it's a Ikeda model No. CH-2800, hopefully it will be better....it's hard to see how it cannot.

We've only had this cooker long enough to use it for hot pot cooking & haven't taken advantage of the grilling or steaming features yet--but it is a great little hot pot! We had family over to show them this fun way of cooking that we learned in Beijing, and the pot held plenty of food for everyone--it heated up very quickly, both initially and when we had to add more liquid. The removable cooking surface also makes for very easy cleanup. I am totally pleased with it and think it's a great value, as all of the others we considered were more expensive. The only thing I would have liked was some more detailed instructions and/or recipes, but really, all that is available online so--five stars!

This thing does more than just shabu shabu. Temperature range and control are just right. Right size for a family of four or five. Very easy to clean. For the price that we paid, we couldn't ask for more. It is almost perfect!

This is a really nice stainless steel pot for shabu shabu. Haven't tried the grill pan yet. But looks like fun to cook in it. The only thing is the power cord is too short. I have to buy extension to reach the outlet on the wall. You are supposed to put this pot on the table and have the shabu shabu, not on the cooking counter. That's why I only give it 4 stars.

the pan attached with this product is very thin, so it gets very rough on the surface after several times uses of stir-fries.

but if you only use it only for shabu shabu, it won't be a problem at all..good for hot pot or shabu shabu..

George Foreman GR19BW Contemporary Design Grill with Bun Warmer, Silver

This is my first Foreman grill. I really like the convenience and my family loves the flavor. It cooks quickly, making it handy on those nights when I'm pressed for time. I haven't had any trouble with cleaning it or it getting too hot. I do have some issues with the bun warmer though. First of all, it doesn't seem to work all that well, taking longer to warm than the grill does to grill. Also, the flimsy warmer cover pops open whenever it's bumped making it awkward to handle and clean...occasionally it comes completely off. I would definately buy another Foreman grill, but a model without the warmer.

I'm sorry, but this is hopeless for the following reasons :

(1) It is hot after cooking and with a mit on you cannot open it without moving the grease tray, but then grease runs out onto your counter. The part you put your hand on to open it is not real hot compared to the edge but even without a mit the clearance between the grease tray and the place you open it is small and it is real easy to accidentally move it when opening.

(2) The instructions said to cook a large hamburger 8-9 minutes for medium, I tried that, burned to a crisp. I said "fine", and I tried 4 minutes. The hamburger was burned crisp on the surface and medium to rare inside, in other words it is too hot for a hamburger.

(3) And here's a big one, it is easy to have the extremely hot rear part touch the power cord when putting food into a preheated grill. Obviously this is very dangerous.

I must say, I have not been the best cook. I just started cooking since February of this year (2005) and have been horrible at it. Well of course, each time, I do improve but nothing close to a normal person. An uncle of mine suggested a George Foreman grill. I got this today and I have made a grill cheese sandwich as well as a fantastic pork steak. I looooooove my meat done well. The best thing about this grill is, the pork was cooked well done and yet was so soft and tender from the inside. Now how many of us get the bullseye at the first shot? I highly recommend this.

I also have the Blue Ember iQue grill, which proved to be problematic when sourcing a cover for its 80" width. This cover fits perfectly, and has a soft interior lining. It's also a lot darker than the icky light green the product image shows, making it look far nicer in my opinion.

I recently purchased the Blue Ember iQue grill (love it) and was having a horrible time finding a cover large enough (the grill is 80 inches wide) without paying a small fortune. So I figured the price of this one justified trying it out. It came, it fits perfectly and is not at all inexpensive feeling or functioning. So thanks for this solution.

I brought a Blue Ember grill from Costco, which is huge and oversized. A grill cover was not included, so Mr. Bar-B-Q's grill cover was the only one I could find. Out of the box, it's dark green. I thought that I had read another review that said that it was dark enough to be nearly black. Nope, it's dark forest green. The inside liner is made from nylon/cotton and tend to catch on any sharp or spikey objects (grill brush). It is huge and it worked, but ended up drapping on to the floor. The velcros didn't really help the length. Lastly, I noticed last weekend that one side of the cover was tattered up. Not sure what happened, but not exactly durable.

Well made it seems, I have only had it for 3-4 months, but it is great for the price. Taylor 807 Weekend Warrior Digital Fork Thermometer

This fork thermometer takes an accurate temp reading; and is a good deal for the price. It does have one quirk -it has a button to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit which I keep accidentally hitting when I hold the fork. So I end up reading the temperature wrong because it has inadvertently changed to Celcius. Just be aware of this and the fork will work fine for all sorts of cooking.

I purchased and reviewed another meat thermometer and gave it one star due to how long it took to come up to temp. I got this Taylor in hopes of much quicker read time, and definitely got what I was looking for.

It comes up to temp in about 2-3 seconds (very fast in my book), and the bright blue display with big numbers is easy to read. The design feels solid and sturdy, not cheap, and I like that it's water resistant. If I were to give any criticisms, I don't really like the "Hold" feature and find it pointless. I wish the backlight stayed on all the time and you didn't have to press "hold" for the backlight. But, for the price, this doesn't ruin the 5-star value to me. I don't think you could find a better meat thermometer for this price.

Cuisinart Griddler Indoor Electric Grill

I bought this grill to replace a different brand that still worked but had worn-out grill plates. This model allows me to remove the grill plates for cleaning and I hope that means the surfaces will last longer. The plates are also replaceable so I don't have to dispose of the grill when the plates wear out (like the other brand). It is reasonably compact to use on my counter and the top grill portion is short enough that it doesn't hit the bottom of my cupboards when opening it (had that problem with the other brand).

Am pleased with the unit so far, although I will need to practice a bit with it to learn how best to set temperatures for things like pancakes or other items more sensitive to temperature choice than steaks and burgers. The manual gives a number of sample recipes and suggested settings, most of which have worked as expected. (Pancakes: still tweaking.)

The fold-open feature is especially nice when I need to cook steaks for four, or otherwise need a larger cooking area. I like having that option, even if it does take up a bit more space on the counter in this mode.

The only real negative I've found is that after grilling something like burgers in the closed position, the top grill plate will drip grease on the counter when the unit is opened. It isn't a big deal, but it can be more of a mess than one wants. I've dealt with it by placing a rectangular glass plate from an old microwave under the grill. Makes cleanup quicker.

I would not hesitate to recommend this grill. Has been a pleasure to use and seems well-made.

I would have rated the product at 4 or 5 stars if it were not for the flimsy plates. Unfortunately, they warp out of shape over time resulting in uneven cooking and drainage. Then, replacement is required for >$30 each.

I spent a good deal of money on what I thought would be the last fry pan I would ever own. It's backed by a lifetime warranty, so how can you loose? Well, let me tell you. The lifetime warranty covers manufacturing defects like bubbles and chips. But, there are more ways for the fry pan to fail than are covered by the lifetime warranty.

I've owned this for about a year. I've never used metal utensils, never put it into the dishwasher, and never cleaned it with steel wool. Over the time I've owned it, the pan developed a sheen to it. Without warning, one day the pan just stopped being non-stick. Now everything sticks, even with liberal amounts of butter or oil. I wrote to Scanpan to ask them about their lifetime warranty. They sent me two pages of photographs of situations which aren't covered. What seems like normal use to me might look like over-heating to them, which voids the warranty.

The problem is Scanpan puts a large metal disc on the bottom, which appears to be designed to provide even heating. What it does in practice is a) requires a long time to heat up and b) burns the corners since this is a square pan with a heavy round disc.

So, I'm buying another brand today, much cheaper. Why spend a fortune on a pan which only lasts a year when a cheaper pan will do the same job at a fraction of the price? I cannot recommend Scanpan products.

edit: I just received the Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 11-Inch Square Griddle, purchased here from Amazon and I'm much happier. It takes a lot less time to heat up, looks better, and has a better non-stick finish than this more expensive one. It doesn't have the heavy metal disc on the bottom so I don't have to wait as long for it to warm up and the corners are in less of a danger of being burnt. Save your money. Don't buy from a company who will not honor their so-called lifetime warranty. I didn't get any more use out of this pan than far less expensive models. Use the money you save to buy yourself a nice steak.

The pan does everything we wanted and cleaning is a snap. We checked out every pan there is this size and this is the best. Great for Pancakes, bacon, eggs, grilled cheese sandwiches, and burgers. Never burns or smokes like teflon pans and surface doesn't peel.

As you can tell we love it.

Yes, the griddle is wonderful for pancakes. The problem I have is that the surface material bubbled up over the very center of the griddle. It is cracking and I see that eventually the material will flake off.

I was introduced to this miracle product by my uncle. Now, there are many many products out there that make outlandish claims to be able to clean miraculously. I will say this -when it comes to baked on carbonified foods (like the muck that winds up on a grill or on your stovetop burners) there is no product out there that I have ever seen come anywhere near close to what this product can do.

My stainless steel grills for my outside grill had 3 years of baked on carbon. I really was considering throwing them away and buying new ones. I couldn't get the carbon off of them. I tried wire brushes, steam, pressure washing, wet towels, dishwasher, etc nothing worked. I brought the grills in and put them on my sink. I sprayed this product on them on both sides. Let them sit for 20 minutes. Came back and used the green side of a kitchen sponge and the carbon wiped away without too much fuss.

I stood AMAZED!

I don't know about the toxicity of this product, I do recommend gloves because this stuff is doing something!

This is the last product I will ever buy to clean my grill and when it comes to my stove, it does equally amazing work.

My first bottle of this i received as a free sample. It's fantastic. I believe the reason it didn't survive in the resale stores was due to the fact that people did not read the directions. You apply this directly to DRY material you want removed the drier, the more backed on, even things left for long periods (like the ceiling inside your microwave) the better. I actually went hunting for this stuff again when my kid destroyed (or so i thought) my favorite pan by burning rice to the non-stick surface, two applications of this no scrubbing my pan is saved and better than ever.

I worked in a sign shop this stuff will take glue off anything, it will take grease off an engine, it will clean aluminum before powder coating like nothing you will ever find.

I cleaned an oven not cleaned in a year in a rental house and it sparkled in two applications. No fumes.

I love this stuff just remember NO WATER first or it wont work at all.

This product is expensive when compared with most household cleaners, but wow, it packs a punch. I got this at the recommendation of my cleaning lady, who was unable to clean the dried, stained oil burns on the heating element of my gas stove with the normal cleaners I had on hand. I got it and applied it to those stained oil burns, let it sit for 2 hours and it really did the job. This is one of the most powerful household cleaners you can get. Worth the money!

I have to say this product is difficult to find. I searched all the grocery stores in my area and even Walmart & Target and just could not find it anywhere. It may be some of those places were out of stock, but wow, I was stunned by how much trouble I had finding it. So it's worth putting in a good word of praise about Amazon. I'm glad I can find so many otherwise difficult to find products here, whether it is shipped and fulfilled by Amazon or Amazon store operators. I'm not in the habit of turning to Amazon when I can't find something at a nearby store. Retailers churn through their inventory list often and drop low volume items frequently, so it's nice to have this option.

We rent out our townhouse for part of the year. Our last tenant left the pots and pans with burned on grease and the cooktop had the burned on remnants of what I can only assume were many cooking disasters. Steel wool was no match for this mess so I went to Walmart for a solution and bought this purely on name value. Plain old Dawn works on plenty of things that are not related to cleaning dishes, etc. so I figured this might be the heavy gun needed. I sprayed this on the cooktop and forgot about it for over an hour. I couldn't believe how it dissolved the greasy dried gunk and left the cooktop glistening. Since then I have used this on the gas grill and other messes.

My only gripe with this product is that the local Walmart no longer stocks it and it is hard to find this elsewhere. I'd buy a vat of this if I could.

Laroma 15-Inch Pizza Stone

Did the job for Friday Night Pizza. The carrying handle was not used on the first mission. The Pizza Cutter worked awesome. It's not a throw away come along with extra. Although the Pizza Stone performed well, it did absorb many oils and/or liquids from the Pizza made. Guess it's seasoned now. Good luck and happy Pizza for all.

I think I'd prefer it a bit bigger, but for the price, I'm satisfied. The extra's aren't dollar store crap. The cutter seems as nice as the stone. Worth the cost.

As the other lady said it is smaller than some but not too small.
