Minden Grill Company MMC1000 Master Natural Gas Grill, Classic Black

Minden Grill Company MMC1000 Master Natural Gas Grill, Classic BlackI have mixed feelings about this purchase. I love the grill and the looks of it and its cooking. However, as of now (June 2009) this grill is not ready, in my opinion, for natural gas customers yet. It looks like it was a quick conversion from the propane version, but not well thought through. It is too complicated to explain here, but there is a kink that the gas pipe needs to make in order to stay within the grill that is actually scary. Makes you wonder if gas will actually flow through that kink. It does, hopefully safely... (see attached pictures)

I need to give 5 stars to the people of Minden for customer support! They promptly replied to e-mails and called me back immediately to walk me through setting it up and solving problems. They have also committed to replacing parts that need to be replaced and also to mail me an upgrade part for the natural gas grill, when it becomes available, so I will update this review as needed.

The setting up/assembly instructions (that are also apparently being upgraded) are not totally correct, have mistakes and seem to be not completely converted from the propane model.

Overall, I think this natural gas version was rushed out to the market, probably to meet a demand. The grill looks great otherwise, and cooks very well (only used few times). Small, light and very mobile, if you need to move it around.

This is a copy of my review for the exact same GREEN model of this grill. For some reason they are not listed as one item with color choices so I have posted the review for the other colors, having actually purchased the Green model.

*****See Update Below******

Having now had this grill for over a year, I would describe it as a decent quality grill for a fair price. I use this grill frequently, probably twice a week or more, even in winter. If you are an occasional user, you may find this a more ideal product.

The Good Points-

1) It looks great and is perfect if you don't want and over testosteroned massive stainless grill on your property.

2) The quality and functionality is decent.

3) If you get a hold of a real person at Minden, they are very nice and will go out of their way to help you.

4) Heats up very quickly.

The Bad Points-

1) You MUST purchase separately the stainless steel grate. The included enameled grate will wear out in less than one season.

2) The wood handle will also become moldy in less than a season. I extended it's life by using some spray varnish on it, but I would still prefer the stainless steel one (which I've seen at Williams-Sonoma on a version of this grill that only they sell).

3) The spatter plates become quickly rusty. Minden was nice enough to send me (essentially for free) 3 stainless steel ones.

4) Some of the bolts which hold the unit together become rusty over time, they should be made of stainless steel, but they aren't.

5) The grill does not evenly heat, and has hot and cold spots, which over time if you understand where they are you can compensate for them.

They really have the makings of a great grill with some small modifications, I would encourage them to change some parts to stainless steel (described above) and attempt to resolve the unevenness of the heating surface.

******UPDATE April 8, 2012********

After having this grill for about two years, I sadly have to conclude that it's not something I would buy again.

The rust has continued to the point where critical functioning parts are failing. The bracket for the trough which supplies gas from burner to burner has failed, causing the trough to fall off. I've managed to stick it back using some rocks so I can still use the grill.

The hot and cold spot issue seems to have gotten worse, and it's also now hard for me to get the grill started without pressing the start button 10 or 15 times.

Additionally, the threaded plastic gas tank hookup broke in half, and I had to replace it with a new one.

After doing some math, I've concluded that the cost of ownership of this grill is simply too high.

At 479, lasting two years, means 249/year (this does not include the MANDATORY cost of buying the Stainless Steel Grate)

***Conclusion: I've pretty much settled on purchasing the American Outdoor Grill Model 25PC (with back burner). It's basically the same physical size, but at 1650 is considerable more expensive. However, nearly every part on the grill is guaranteed for 10 years, with some parts being guaranteed for longer. Even if one figures that the all stainless steel, made in America grill will last for 10 years, the cost of ownership per year is only $165.

Kalorik Stainless Steel Rotisserie

Kalorik Stainless Steel RotisseriePros:

1. This thing is FAST if you cook on high setting. I had a 4.5lb chicken done in 30 minutes. It will take some experimentation to get the timing just right to allow the skin to brown well as the meat is getting done. For example, the manual says 15 mins/lb for chicken, first half on high, second on low. Don't believe it. You'll probably do better with 15-20 minutes on high and another 10-20 minutes on low on low for a chicken under 5 lbs.

2. The chickens I've cooked so far come out juicy and tender, and very flavorful even with little seasoning.

3. Good value for the price paid, which was nowhere near MSRP.

4. Cleanup is relatively easy so far. Use plenty of cooking spray and don't cook foods with sticky marinade and you'll probably be fine. Dry rubs and injected marinades will work best.

5. Includes skewers for kebabs, hotdogs, etc., and you can also cook roasts, although you'll have a hole down the middle.

Cons:

1. It's hard to get the skin to brown evenly probably due to point two, below. There are three U-shaped heating elements (plus the center element which can be turned off for roasts) which turn on and off in sequence around the sides, and the radiant heat isn't even. I've compensated for this somewhat by manually rotating the chicken once partway through cooking to get a more even browning.

2. It's not a rotisserie, as another reviewer noted, so if you require one, look elsewhere. The heat rotates around the chicken as opposed to the chicken rotating. This means you won't get the same effect of the hot fats moisturizing and crisping on the skin as the chicken rotates. They just drain into the drip pan. The skin still crisps, but it's not quite the same.

3. It's pretty big on the counter.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with this appliance.

**Edit 2/19/11**

As noted by an anonymous or unfortunately named reviewer who believes everyone who disagrees with him is a shill, it can be hard to get the bottom drip pan out cleanly when removing food. This is because the pan fits too tightly around the center heating element. The problem can be avoided by being careful, or possibly widening the opening for the element. It's still four stars for me because it's fast and if you use it correctly, it produces good results.

**Edit 2/28/11**

Ok, with a pair of pliers and a little thought, this thing works much better. I compressed the upper arms of the drip pan that cover the heating element so the separate center heating element cover didn't fit so snugly, and also slightly widened the hole the element passes through in the bottom of the pan. This took maybe ten minutes. Now, when I lift out food using the provided hook, the food and stand lift out, leaving the drip pan in place as intended. Then I can pull the drip pan out separately after it's cooled.

I just cooked a pork loin roast with the center element on (and the oven on High) for about 12 minutes, then off for the rest of the cooking time on low, and it was perfect.

This is not the appliance for you if you want a "set and forget" oven, but it's fast and it will do a good job if your experience in cooking goes beyond the microwave.

This is my 4th type of rotisserie and I think I prefer it to the others that I have owned. You need to remember to reduce the heat when you're fixing chicken. I forgot and it came out to dry, so I made soup. I would purchase it again. There is no rotation, therefore it is very quiet.

During our first use we noticed that the platform does not rotate. We thought it may not work . Then we saw the elements rotating. What a great idea. The chicken cooked perfectly. We really like it !

My first review was very negative and I have since changed my mind regarding this product. Once I used it a few times I realize how wonderful it really is. I had a whole different picture of a rotisserie in my head, like the ones in the supermarkets. This one is absolutely great.Because it doesn't revolve around the food but rather the heating elements go off and on and in effect is the same thing but absolutely quiet. Pretty soon the aroma starts coming from it and then the whole place smells like wonderful food. It's easy to clean and takes up little space and I have a small kitchen. I plan on using it a lot this summer but so far my favorite is chicken. You can brine the chicken and then put a rub on it and oh so good.

Try it, you will love it.

This product sits pretty large on the kitchen counter. My chicken did not cook as fast as everyone claimed (30 mins). I had a 4 lbs chicken and it took a little over 1.5 hour on high to cook fully. I think two things this item can improve on are: 1) it doesn't rotate so it shouldn't called it a rotisserie. 2) there are 3 heat wires that only 2 gets turn on at one time. It switches and the other 2 gets turned on. What ended up happening is that for whatever reasons, the chicken doesn't cooked evenly. I've tried it twice and I still haven't managed to master this yet.

Overall, I do like this product. I like the fact that I can add different seasoning, push a button or two and let it cook.

LamsonSharp? Classic Rosewood Bbq 22" 3" x 8" Extra Long/Large Turner

LamsonSharp? Classic Rosewood Bbq 22' 3' x 8' Extra Long/Large TurnerI've gone through more than a few grilling tools over the years and quality products of this caliber are hard to come by. Sure you can buy grilling tools through some of the high end chef's tool websights but they mostly come in sets and cost more than some grills. This LamsonSharp turner is a bit on the high priced side but it is well made and functional. The finish on the handle is a bit on the rough side and the end required some sanding and finishing in order to smooth it up a bit.It is made from quality dense rosewood though and nice and long to keep you clear of the heat. The real workmanship is in the forged mirror finished stainless steel business end. Nicely made, tapered to a feather edge and large and rigid enough to flip two big burgers at once or a 24 ounce T-bone with no problem. No silly slots, cutting edges, bottle openers or other useless frills. Just a high quality heavy duty commercial grade tool for the grill, plain and simple. Looks like it should last a lifetime or at least until your brother-in law borrows it.

Pampered Chef Large Round Pizza Stone

Pampered Chef Large Round Pizza StoneI read the reviews and needed to comment on the person that used their stone directly on their BBQ. The stone is not intended to be used on direct heat sources such as a BBQ or a stove top or under a broiler. The temperature of 600 to 650 degrees is much too hot for the stone to handle. It is meant for pizza in the oven which goes up to 450 degrees. 500 degrees and higher is considered broiling. Obviously, with such abuse the stone would crack and could cause serious injury. Pampered Chef stones are guaranteed for three years and should never be used washed with soap or in the dishwasher. Soap would be retained in the clay material and so the stone will be ruined. I have had my stoneware for years and simply soak it in hot water in the sink with no soap and use the nylon scraper included with each stone to help remove baked on food. None of my stones have ever cracked or exploded and all look brand new as the day I purchased them. Also important, the first time you use the stone grease it throughly and in this way it will become seasoned and nonstick so food will continue to be easy to remove by simply soaking in hot water and using the nylon scraper to remove any baked on food. I give this stone 5 stars.

I purchased this item about a year ago. Since then, I've made everything from pizza to cookies, to crossants, to whatever won't spill over, lol! It bakes up everything nice and crisp and without a burn even if I did let it go over a couple of minutes in the oven while tending to life. After you season them, they become stick-free and it doesn't take that long either. I usually season mine with those buttery dinner rolls you get in the refrigerator aisle at the store. I just spread them out and the kids have these buttery flat crispy bread that they like to put jam on :)

I've recently bought the deep dish baker and love baking chicken and pork chops in it. I'm really excited about the new covered baker that I waiting to arrive :) I love Pampered Chef Stoneware.

I bought one of these stones from a former PC consultant. I use it for everything and it works great. Using it for just pizza is a waste. Try cookies, chicken, fish, biscuits, croissants, appetizers, and so much more. Anything that can go in the oven without it leaking over the side can be cooked or reheated on one of these stones. I heard they were discontinued, but that's okay, since I've had mine for three years and it is still going strong. I like the new one with the handles built into the stone, so that will be my next purchase.

OK-so originally I said the stone I recieved was not the one pictured...Well, once it was opened for Christmas, it was the stone pictured. It was just sealed in a box meant for the one for handles. So, I apologize for saying I recieved the wrong stone, but not smart on your part to put it in a decieving package... I never received an e-mail offering a full refund. Must have went to spam...

Cuisinart GR-WAFP Griddler Waffle Plates

Cuisinart GR-WAFP Griddler Waffle PlatesI bought this set of grills for my Cuisinart GN-4N. They of course fit perfectly.

I am pushover for Belgian waffles and the deep pocket pattern on these plates does an absolute perfect job. Not this set comes with a nifty little recipe book which I have looked closely at and the recipes featured look quite good and are quite doable. I have my own personal favorite recipe so have not actually tried any of the ones featured in the book yet...they do look yummy though.

These plates have a non-sticking surface to them and are an absolute snap to clean up. I have put them in the dishwasher which works fine, but I normally hand wash this sort of thing...just old habit I suppose...truth be told.

The price here is just about what you pay the local retail stores in the area and with the free shipping, you are saved the hassle of lugging these things around the rest of the shopping trip

I have had absolutely no sticking when the waffles are removed when done.

I don't know how these plates made the waffles taste so good but they were the best I have ever made and I was just using a mix. They fit perfectly in the Cuisinart Griddler and make clean up a breeze. I bought it so that I could make more waffles at a time because I have 3 kids and this works great. It makes twice the amount at a time compared to my old waffle maker. The recipe booklet with it has some really good sounding recipes and I may make some dry mixes up to give as gifts (cinnamon pecan waffles sound great!)

Now my Cuisinart Griddler has replaced using a griddle, George Foreman grill and waffle maker! If you have a Cuisinart Griddler, you have to grab these!

Buy Cuisinart GR-WAFP Griddler Waffle Plates Now

I bought these waffle plates for my Griddler CGR-4C and they are a slightly different shape than the ones that came with my model but they still snap in perfectly! The nonstick coating works very well, I spray them with cooking spray before using as recommended in the user guide, my batter does not stick to them and I can easily rinse them off in the sink. The waffle recipes that come with it are great and they work well. I love that I can use a grill, griddle, and make waffles all on the same machine, saves counter space big time!

This is the perfect addition to the Griddler one of my favorite appliances, especially during southern California summers where it makes more sense than heating up the stove or oven.

Overall I was happy with the results. The waffles were decent though I wouldn't serve them up for Christmas breakfast. That said, for a casual weekend breakfast, it was perfect.

The Good

Enhances the already super-useful Griddler.

Compact and easier to store than a dedicated waffle maker

Cleanup is a snap, just pop the plates out and add to the dishwasher (I wouldn't) or hand wash. MUCH EASIER than a waffle maker!

I found the shape and size of the waffles to be PERFECT for families

I prefer not to use oil; the non-stick surface performed quite well and not a single waffle stuck (this way does make for a softer waffle without the classic crisp of a well made waffle, a toss-up I'm happy with)

Unlike many waffle makers, you control the temperature so after a little trial and error, you can cook the waffles to your exact liking

The Not-so-good

At 1/3 the cost of the Griddler itself, $35 is a bit pricey

Uneven cooking: The heating coils don't reach the center of the plates. While the outer 2/3 cooked up beautifully, the inner third were pale (This may be an issue with my machine which is about 5 years old. I don't know if Cuisinart has improved on newer machines but owners of older machines should be aware)

My kids are always hungry, aren't they all? Anyhow, I got the waffle plates and had the kids help prepare the batter. We followed the instructions exactly, set the temp for 400 degrees, waited 3 minutes..and out came...an awefull unedible mess. The waffles were so burned that it stuck to both the top and bottom plate and was cut in half, and then wouldn't be removed without unplugging the unit and washing in the sink. ouch. I almost returned them.

Next try, set temp at 350, waited 2.5 minutes, used pam baking spray....waffles came out easily and looked nice, except they weren't close to done and way too soft.

4-5 tries later, I finally got a good repeatable way of making well cooked waffles using the plates.

Set temp to 375 degrees.

Coat (but not too much) with pam

pour in but not completely, leave far corners on all four sides unfilled so waffle is essentially circular.

close cover

wait 3 minutes 45 seconds

open, gently pull waffle out

Tastes excellent and looks just the way it should.

I'm not sure how well the plates will last, but I'll also use them for cooking bacon..as recommended in one of the alton brown good eats episodes as the quickest/easiest ways to make breakfast. Just stretch 4 slices lengthwise across the waffle plates, cover, and wait until cooked to taste.

Heavy-Duty Steel Wool Barbecue Grill Cleaner Pads

Heavy-Duty Steel Wool Barbecue Grill Cleaner PadsI was expecting the padto be larger. They work okay, but when cleaning grill grates a larger pad would be better.

I have been frustrated about the lack of durability and small fiber size of steel wool for years, until I found this product. I have been using these for regular dish scouring for about 9 month and I wouldn't buy anything else. They really have the traction I want when trying to remove burnt-on food from cast iron and forgotten rice.

Chef Craft 21215 1-Piece High Temperature Silicone Spoon Spatula, Black Handle with Clear Spatula,

Chef Craft 21215 1-Piece High Temperature Silicone Spoon Spatula, Black Handle with Clear Spatula, 12-1/4-InchBowl scrapers or spatulas have really improved recently. I hated the old rubber ones from my early cooking days--over time, they crack, discolor and get really unwholesome-looking. I don't think wooden handles are particularly sanitary, either. (Pores can hold bacteria and dirt. Then the plastic, non-silicone spatulas were a real "fail." Melt in hot stuff. Handles like soda straws. The new silicone spatulas have a huge advantage as they can take higher temperatures and they are resistant to breakage. Better handles (those thin plastic ones just snap when I use them. Nothing more depressing than scraping out a bowl of cake batter and seeing the stump of the scraper mired in batter, you holding the broken handle and wondering "What now?")

This spatula is plain but really well designed. It has a spoon-ish shape on the bottom, it is flexible (have to get used to that if you are normally using a stiffer scraper) and it has a wide handle grip at the top for people with larger hands (like me) or who find skinny handles hard to hold. And it is white and black, so the bother of deciding if acid green, bright orange, or cherry red is no issue. In fact, I don't want to see an acid green spatula dipping into my marinara--it puts me off my game.

This is just the thing, so if you are looking for a workhorse spatula, this might just be the one. I like it.

Good size and quality tool. The silicone head is a bit softer and more "bendy" than my other silicone scrapers, but just what I was looking for. It's already my go-to tool for scraping bowls in the kitchen. I especially like the clear (or at least non-colored) silicone, because it's easier to see changes in sauce colors.

I bought this to replace a Wilton spoon/spatula that I used all the time but recently broke at the handle neck. It came as a set and I did not want more of the other less useful (for my purposes) spatulas so I opted for this one. It is longer than the one I had and the spoon/spatula part is not as big or smooth as the Wilton but is still very functional.

Charcoal Companion Scrubber Refills, 4 pack

Charcoal Companion Scrubber Refills, 4 packI've tried practically every grill scrubber available, and I like this style the best. Only drawback is that the scrubber pads don't last as long as a brush (partly because my dogs like to chew them!). These refills seem to work & hold up just as well as the original.

This is the only BBQ Grill Cleaning Tool you need and these scrubbers fit it perfectly.

I grill 2 to 3 times a week and each scrubber lasts me about 6 months. Nothing works as good as this tool and scrubbers.

As a long time grilling family, we have tried many different tools over the years to clean that stubborn grime from the grill surface. Without any question, this is the best tool we have come across. If you get after it while the grill is still warm, this tool removes all crud with minimal effort. It works on both porcelain coated and steel grills.

I bought these because they are much more course and durable than the scrub pads found in your typical grocery stores. I use the one I bought in conjunction with some Klean-Strip KS-3 Paint Stripper to remove the (very) tough, baked on, paint from my 1954 Chevrolet 3100 pickup. It works fabulously! Because of how course these pads are far less likely to get all clogged up. When they start to get clogged I only have to dunk it in a bucket of water and whack it against the inside of the bucket and I am ready to go again. If I need more I will definitely get more. thanks for the great product.

All-Clad LTD 12-Inch Round Nonstick Grille Pan

All-Clad LTD 12-Inch Round Nonstick Grille PanI am not a big fan of the All Clad LTD line but I do love this pan. I much prefer the All Clad polished stainless steel line (I have almost every piece and love it). This grill is a perfect size for grilling for 1-4 people. I debated on the grande size, I decided that since I don't grill everyday it didn't make sense to spend the extra money and deal with storing the larger size. Also, I selected the round style over the square, my stove burners are round so I figured that the round style made more sense for me.

I often marinade chicken tenders in Emeril Lagasse's marinade (he has several different marinades that you can find in your local supermarket) a day in advance and heat up this pan and toss on the chicken. I usually make a veggie or two and some rice, it is a very quick and easy dinner and is also very healthy! You can also use this pan for everything from burgers to a tuna steak.

This pan is not dishwasher safe due to the nonstick surface, but don't worry it is a breeze to clean. I have the George Foreman grill that has been sitting in the cabinet collecting dust since I bought this pan. I don't like the George Foreman grill because you can't really wash the grill surface very well. The grill surface should be removable so you can really clean it. This pan is very, very well made and is backed by a lifetime warranty. Sometimes this pan is sold as a special..., if you see it grab it. It is a steal at that price. Once you try All Clad you will be hooked too! Highly recommended! A+!

I've been using grill pans for years and have bought many brands. This is the best one, hands-down. I gave away all five of the others I owned after the first time I used this pan. I love All Clad cookware in general and this is my first non-stick. The results are so superior to any other grill pan I recommend it to everyone. If you want healthy and perfectly prepared grilled food, whether it's fish, meat or vegetables, without a drop of added fat, this pan is for you. Buy it.

Buy All-Clad LTD 12-Inch Round Nonstick Grille Pan Now

I'm a big fan of All-Clad and have a lot of All-Clad LTD and MasterChef pots and pans. I feel All-Clad has a great design methodology and makes great quality gear. Also, their non-stick coating is the best in the business. This grill pan, however, isn't actually clad the secret of its low price. It's made from a single piece of anodized aluminum like a Calphalon pan as a brief examination of the edge reveals. The beefy handle is the most All-Clad thing about it. The nonstick coating isn't the usual All-Clad type either although it certainly is top quality. As a grill pan, this one is very good that's not the problem.

Grill pans make grill marks on your food but are no substitute for actually grilling. There's no smoke flavor or high heat caramelization. The only thing the grill pan gives you is the sear marks. To that end, the nonstick surface fights you. Metal gives much better sear marks than nonstick coatings. In order to get a nonstick pan to give good sear you must really crank the heat up. This makes a lot of smoke which make a good lid a necessity. Sadly, this pan doesn't include a lid. I found that the Calphalon 12" "Everyday" pan's lid is a perfect fit by coincidence so I use it every time.

I have the luxury of a grill outside my kitchen door. I'm the kind of hardy soul who has no problem stepping out in the snow in shirtsleeves to flip the steaks. I find all grill pans to be a very poor substitute to actually grilling. Maybe if I lived in the city and couldn't grill as easily I'd be more enamored of this pan. As it is, I mainly use it under duress (such as during bad rain storms when I reluctantly must grill indoors).

I recently tossed a Calphalon grill pan in the trash after I could not clean it after use. Looking for another grill pan to replace it, I found this gem. I don't know how Amamzon can offer this high quality pan for this price, but grab it. Wonderful heat distribution, very large cook surface and NOTHING sticks!!

Want All-Clad LTD 12-Inch Round Nonstick Grille Pan Discount?

I could not believe that I found this pan at this price. I was further astounded when I received it and started cooking on it. It is absolutely fabulous. NY Strip streak comes out truly delicious when you simply sprinkle some salt and cracked pepper on it and then throw it on the grill pan. Also works great for bacon. Also works great for burgers. Also works great for...anything you could think of. For cleaning, I recommend immediately filling it with water after taking the food out, enough to cover all the bottom, and then let it sit til after dinner and you start doing the dishes. If you do this, then I recommend an OXO brush (ASIN B0000CFQOB) with nylon bristles. Gently brush between the grooves to loosen the remaining material and then use a sponge. I recommend the nylon brush because it is hard to get a sponge to get every bit of remaining material along the grooves. But overall this is incredibly easy to clean and even easier to cook on. I still cannot believe I paid only fifty for this item.

Weber 6431 Charcoal Grill Tool Holder

Weber 6431 Charcoal Grill Tool HolderMoney well spent. I never was impressed with the tool holder from Weber that is made out of wire. The wire version is 1/3 the price, but you get what you pay for. I use my Weber kettle as a low temperature smoker (250 degrees), and it's vital to keep the temp constant for 6-8 hours. My initial concern was the the tool holder would cause an air leak between the bottom and lid, and create a problem, but the fit is tight as ever, and my latest smoke with this tool holder in place was the same as before using it. HIGHLY recommended addition to the Weber, so spend the extra money on this version.

Not much to say that hasn't been said in the few reviews so far. It really doesn't get hot, fits my 22.5" kettle perfectly and does what it's supposed to do including looks good.

The only thing I could say I'd like to see different is narrower "hooks" for some tools that don't have a strap but have smaller holes. But I haven't been able to find ant tool that I use that doesn't work just fine with it though.

Buy Weber 6431 Charcoal Grill Tool Holder Now

Works well as advertised.

Pros: Clips on easily, good build quality and looks nice on the grill. Holds most grill tools, even non-Weber ones.

Cons: Sometimes gets in the way of hanging the kettle lid but slides around easily. Ironically the ease of sliding is periodically annoying when trying to quickly hang a tool.

I was going to buy the little wire Weber tool holder, but this one looked more solid. It does just what it's supposed to. Holds the tools easily and doesn't transfer heat to them. I bought a second one to hold the rest of my BBQ tools!

I don't really see what there is to say about this. It looks just like the picture. It seems very well made. It hangs on the side of the grill very easily. It hold up to three utensils (or more with strings attached to them). I have no complaints about this, other than the fact that it should have been included into the cost of the actual grill.

Anyway, if you have a Weber, buy this with no regrets. I can't even imagine what a negative review would look like for this product.

Big Green Egg Salt and Pepper Shakers

Big Green Egg Salt and Pepper Shakers
  • Salt and Pepper Shakers

These were received undamaged, and were shipped quickly.

The quality of the shakers is just so-so ... paint was smeary, and the castings just not very sharp. The identifying "S" and "P" markings are just molded in, and are not painted, making them difficult to discern. The plastic plugs in the bottom of the shakers are made from very cheap plastic, and probably will not last very long. All in all, these guys will be just sit-around objects, and will not ever be used for dispensing salt or pepper ... I would not buy these again.

I got these for my brother-in-law, who had just purchased a Big Green Egg grill, and he really likes them. They go great with his grilling accessories.

I bought these for my dad on father's day. He loved them! Next best thing to the actual Big Green Egg :)

I wish I had read the 1 posted review first. The salt & pepper shakers look cute in the posted photo. My came minus 1 bottom plug.Existing plug isn't very good. I suggest thet these salt and pepper shakers were made for display only; not for actual use. If you have money to burn, these are the ticket.
