Cuisinart Simply Grilling Nonstick Fish Filet Basket

Excellent product, a little bit bigger than I expected, enough space to grill about 2-3 pieces of fish. Hand wash onlydon't like that I cannot put it in the dishwasher. It doesn't lie flat on the grill so it takes about extra 1-2 minutes per side to cook the fish. Has an easy open tab, always wear oven mitts when using this product to turn or remove the fish from the basket.

For a 15-minute pre-heated 425 degree gas grill on medium flame:

For 8 oz. of thick salmon: 7 mins. per side...

For 8 oz. of swordfish4:15 per side.

Walleye 6 oz: 4:15 per side.

Perch or Bluegill 3 oz: 2:30 min. per side.

Half way thru each side of cookingI switch positions for even cooking and no burning of the fish.

I am a fisherman-with 9 fish Ohio awards so I cook a tremendous amount of fish. Want to preserve your catch for over a year with no freezer burn on your fish?

Date the bag on the outside with a permanent marker before it gets wet. Rinse fish off and put them in a gallon size Ziploc or Hefty bag that is filled 3/4 of the way up with 3 shakes of salt in the water. Fish must be below the water line in the bagyou should be able to get about 10-14 small fillets in each bag. Place in freezer leaning up against something with the zipper side up.

Ok, this basket works great for grilling fish... It is definitely non-stick. We fit two individual portion sized fish in the basket and grilled them together without problems. However, I would have thought that a product that is designed to be used on the grill would have a heatand melt-resistant handle! Unfortunately I assumed incorrectly and the handle of our grill basket is now melted. It will still work but it no longer looks nice.

We were super excited to get our new grill but our first attempt at grilling a nice piece of salmon failed miserably, as the fish (even though well oiled) stuck to the grill and tore the fish apart. We promptly ordered this fish fillet grilling basket and we never had the problem again. This thing is huge, which is a plus, especially if you ever consider grilling a whole fish, it will definitely accommodate. It's not dishwasher safe and although it's nonstick, you do have to take some care to wash and dry it thoroughly, but it's a great grill accessory and makes grilling fish (and I'm sure even other meat or vegetables that can be contained inside, a breeze!

This BBQ tool comes in handy when grilling fish and made it much easier to grill without worrying about how to flip the filet without it falling apart. As another reviewer noted, the handle will melt. I had it outside the grill but it was touching the hot edge of the grill cover and it melted a bit. Not sure how to avoid that if you want to close your grill while cooking. The non-stick worked well and was snap to clean-up.

I bought the Sommerset II as alternate stove for outdoor patio cooking. My indoor stove is temporarily (1 month?) without gas due to a faulty line. This looked like the perfect solution and great for frying fish and other smelly stuff outdoors. It was easy to set up, great ignition and very handy side shelves. Looks super! I really loved this product until the wind blew over 5mph. The flame was everywhere except under the pot. Unless you feel daring and care to blowtorch your supper on the high setting to keep the flame steady, you may be underwhelmed with its performance in a slight breeze. This of course would be no problem with the addition of a nifty windscreen which Camp Chef sells. But wait! This is the only model for which they don't sell a windscreen. I was nonplussed with Camp Chef's help line suggestions. Having a custom made sheet metal screen created was one, and, cooking in my garage was the other. Oh, or I could sell it and buy the three burner model. Soooo, unless you plan to sink the Sommerset II into a counter, which is what they told me this model was really made for, go for any other camp chef that comes with a windscreen. I'll be in the barn constructing a solution if Camp Chef needs to reach me.

This is a great value! I had a hard time finding a cover this size, so I was pleasantly surprised to find one at such a good price. The cover is heavy duty with velcro straps to hold it in place.

I live by the water with very high winds and this grill cover says on through any kind of weather and storms. This week we had a storm with 40mph gusts, and the cover stayed in place. A great one!!

Excellent keeps the rain off the large barbeque we have. The only downside is that it mildews quickly and you have to really powerwash it to remove the stains. I think I'll find a black one next time to eliminate seeing the ugliness.

Smart Planet MCM-1 Mini Cupcake Maker

Received this as a Valentine's Day gift and fired it up for the first time tonight. LOVED IT.

I made the "Just Plain Good" cupcake recipe from the book Small Batch Baking by Debby Nakos. I was tempted to try a cake mix, but I figured it would make dozens of mini-temptations to haunt me. This recipe was for 4 regular sized cupcakes it made 13 mini-cupcakes (in two batches) in the device. I used paper cups and skipped the oil/cooking spray step. They turned out perfectly! The first batch were ready after one cooking cycle (under 10 min), but the 2nd batch needed two cycles presumably because I didn't wait for the device to completely re-heat before starting the 2nd batch.

One thing I'd point out that the manual is unclear about is how to tell when the cooking cycle is over. The "ready" light turms off at the end of the cycle. It doesn't say that and I wasn't sure, so I opened it prematurely but no biggie, everything was fine.

I wish there was a supporting website where users could exchange recipes, but I'm so far delighted with this it's like a George Foreman grill for cake addicts!

I purchased this product for a project in my Marketing 3100 course. I was a little concerned with it at first, but after using it I am very pleased. The product makes seven moist mini cupcakes at a time. Because it only makes a few at a time, it does take a long time to bake a whole box of cupcake mix. If you are using this product with children DO NOT let them open the lid when the baking time is done, as a large amount of very hot steam comes out and it will cause burns. Overall a very cute product.

I agree with the posters that say this is NOT for children. It's adorable and little so people may think it is but this machine gets very hot. I made vanilla cupcakes then halfway through I added cocoa powder and peanut butter to the batter and then I made a brownie recipe and everything turned out GREAT. Grill Zone 43037 BBQ Grill Brush, 8-Inch

This is the perfect size for cleaning my pizza stone, which is why I ordered it. I wanted both the stiff metal bristles and the flat scraper to get off all of those burned-on particles, and this fit the bill!

These things are constructed so closely with OXO tongs they have to be made by the same plant. The only things that distinguish these from OXO good grips tongs are:

1. An embossed logo by the handle

2. A larger ring at the end of the lock

3. Lock is a bit tighter, but that may be due to my OXO tongs being several years old

The similarities with OXO are:

These are great tongs. They're made of stainless steel, and they have soft grip handles. They're very sturdy. The locking/unlocking feature works great. And the long handle (17 inches) make these tongs very useful.

These tongs are nice and long, but the weight of the stainless is much less than what I had expected. It makes me feel like the quality is lacking. They'll do the job, but if I had it to do again, I would have chosen a different set of tongs.

I have a pizza stone for my oven but was concerned it might crack on the grill since the heat was higher. This stone sits directly on the grill so it gets super hot. I make my own gluten-free pizza and this was by far, the crispest crust I've made. The secret to crispy crust is to pre-cook the crust before you add the toppings; otherwise the cheese is cooked before the bottom is brown. Also, use the high setting on the grill, assuming you have gas. Even my husband commented that this was one of the best pizzas I had made. Yum!

Bradley Set of 4 Xtra Racks

When I started smoking salmon this fall I decided to purchase the Bradley Set of 4 Xtra Racks so to make the smoker more efficient. The added racks are placed upside down on the existing racks and doubles your smoking capability. The racks are the same as the original racks that come with the Bradley Smoker. I prefer to spray my racks with Pam to keep the meat from sticking on the racks and also makes cleaning them an easy job. If you have a Bradley Smoker this is a good addition to double your smoking output at a minimum of additional cost.

My smoker is not a Bradley. I have an older side fired smoker. My reason for purchasing these racks was for carrying and smoking smaller things like bacon wrapped meatballs, chicken bites, etc. I thought the price for 4 racks were very good. Have used them twice and have been very pleased. You have to be sure and spray them with some non-stick product so the cleanup will be easy. I find the quality good. So far I have no cpmplaints.

22pc Stainless Steel Barbeque Set

The stainless steel set is terrific...Nice quality, good sturdy long handles and cook surfaces. The case was fine, but we have decided not to use it because we have a large grill complete with drawers. The only item that I personally am unable to use, as the "Head Grill Chef," are the tongs which are too wide for my small hands. My husband uses them instead; otherwise, the entire set is very nice.

I bought this for my father in-law. I realized he didn't have a decent grilling set, and we were looking for an affordable, nice gift as a wedding favor. This worked out perfectly he loves it! I don't appreciate getting emails from sellers asking me to write a review of their product. If I think something stands out, or is a great buy...I'll review it. I was going to save the seller a bad review by just not bothering, but since they've sent me TWO emails now asking for a review here we go:

Cheaply made (in China) poor quality utensils that have rusted in the dishwasher.

The skewers were horrible the rubber that is inside the handle of the skewer melted inside our grill and leaked out everywhere, causing the handle to fall off, and ruined dinner.

The prongs on the corn holders bent when I tried to insert them into an ear of corn...rendering them garbage.

My husband only really cares for the grate brush so make your own assumptions from that.

The grill says it is non stick, but it is not food sticks to it like crazy and it sticks so badly sometimes that it starts to burn the the food on it. It says that it fits well over the stove and it does not and it can be potentially dangerous because it does not fit and moves around while you are cooking on it and will sometimes slide around loosely on the stove, so I prefer not to use at the front of the stove I use it at the back part of the stove. This product is the case of you get what you pay for because it was a cheaper price than the other grills and that is because it is cheaply made.

This item is not worth the $$$...I was disappointed with it. It is a very thin metal and burns foods very easy, so if you foolishly invest in one, keep the heat on low. The grill side leaves very few if any grill marks on the food. It has holes on the corners to drain off any fat,( I guess) but when you pour off the grease, it goes everywhere. There is nothing like a cast iron grill pan, but they are too heavy for me to lift due to arthritis in my elbows. I thought this would be a great substitute...for it!

For years we had a large griddle made by a different manufacturer. It was terrific, but when I finally dropped it and the plastic handle/supports broke, I realized it was time for a new one. Plus, I was no longer cooking for a crowd, but for just the two of us. With this Liddle Griddle, I'm amazed at how much more precise the temperature control is, and how much more often we use this thing -often in preference over a skillet, which takes up more room in the dishwasher. (Yes, I said dishwasher.) Though the earlier one could be washed in the dishwasher, it was too big. This one fits easily, and still leaves plenty of room for a day's worth of stuff. The non-stick coating seems very durable and works as it's supposed to. I've rarely been so pleased with a small appliance.

I bought this for my Grandmother who cooks for two. It is small and compact enough to put in your cabinets and doesn't take a lot of counter space while you are using it. Its the perfect size to make pancakes, eggs and bacon! We used it to make grilled cheese, and they came out perfect! This would be great for singles, college students, and anyone who likes great things in small packages!

We have really enjoyed our liddle griddle. Its convenient to cook anything. It's especially good for breakfast pancakes, bacon & eggs. But we have also ended up cooking hamburgers or porkchops on it when the gas grill has run out of fuel. The size makes it easy to clean and store. We are ordering our third griddle shortly we use them so much that the surface wears out. Now, don't get me wrong our first griddle lasted about 5 years, the last one about 2 years. Again, we use it all the time. It really is one of the best purchases for our kitchen we have ever made.

This is a great product--we used it in our motel room at Orlando, Florida to cook some of our meals. It saved us at least $150. Food is expensive at Walt Disney World! This griddle heats up quickly and evenly. We fried eggs, pancakes and bacon. We even made grilled cheese sandwiches. No problems. This griddle had been treated very roughly. I packed it in a suitcase and checked it in at the airport. When I went to open the suitcase at our destination, everything was upside down and thrown around. The suitcase had been searched! I was very surprised that the griddle was not broken. I HIGHLY recommend this item!

Great light weight sturdy stand for your Cuisinart grill. We are traveling in an RV full-time, and this is just what I needed. This fits the grill perfectly, it is sturdy and easy to assemble. I do need to use a pair of pliers to squeeze locking tabs, and a small screw driver to push locking balls in when disassembling the stand for moving. The tabs are too stiff to depress with your fingers, other than that, it's a very convenient stand for grilling and traveling.

One should do their home work prior to purchasing this product. It did not specifiy what model of portable grill it would be able to hold, so I assumed it would accomodate my portable CGG 180 T. This is no fault of the product, it just does not hold my grill. I am sure it does a great job for those who have a grill it can accomodate.
