Chefmate 2 Slice Sandwich Maker Grill Nonstick Plates Upright Storage
Sure it is small and cannot accept very large or very thick bread but that's fine for me.
Sure it can be awkward to clean if there's a cheese spill but it is not really that hard (I just mop the cheese up when wet with a paper towel).
If all you want to do is make toasted sandwiches on "normal" sized bread then this is perfect and it seems to be sold very cheap at least at Target but not so cheap on Amazon.com.I bought this item as a door buster on Black Friday for less than the above reviewers therefore I wasn't expecting much, but it works and we're happy.
It will handle any kind of bread as long as you don't mind squished bread, which we don't. For standard sized bread, we cut the bread into quarters, first down the middle and then diagonal on each half. The cheese does leak out this way, so the idea of sticking the bread in the middle may be best. As one reviewer states, you can always purchase the right size bread too.
We have a round sandwich maker too and the black teflon surface quickly peeled off. This seems to have a stronger surface.
The cheese does get into those little grooves. I think we're going to leave it there and just wipe out the part where the sandwich sits. It doesn't seem difficult to wipe out. I'd use an old toothbrush on those grooves.
It looks like all of the white sandwich makers are made by the same company and just relabeled with a name brand. These sandwich makers seem a bit shallow, but that's probably necessary for toasting.
Another benefit is that it saves on on butter. When I try grilling on the stove top, I load the pan with butter to prevent sticking. That's unnecessary with this product.

I also bought this cheap at Target, and it is probably one of the most useful and most used kitchen appliances I own. Nothing takes any longer than five minutes to grill in it, and in most cases that's even too long. The other reviewers say it won't handle large bread slices, but that's not true. I don't know if it's deliberate design or happy convenience, but just place sandwiches made with wide bread slices in the middle instead of loading up two puny sandwiches, and grill as normal. It even comes out with a perforation down the middle to make it easier to cut in half.Someone else mentioned a giant cheese mess, which did happen to me once, but that was because I was using processed cheese which is basically oil, so it runs like water at those temperatures. The few times I had a little bit of real cheese sticking out the sides, it stayed in a clump that slid right off the grill with the sandwich when removed leaving no mess behind. So just use real cheese, which is better anyway.
It also handles stacked sandwiches pretty well too. I made some really stuffed tuna melts with it, we're taking about half a can (before mayo and fixins) on each sandwich, and they came out clean without leaking or dripping cheese. The bread seemed to grill up a little better too.
So yeah, for my less than ten bucks this definitely rates five stars easy.

I bought this sandwich maker as a little piece of nostalgiain renemberance of my time abroad in college. We had one of these sandwich makers and practically lived off of ketchup and cheese sandwiches. Sounds odd I know, but when made in one of these sandwich presses they're actually kinda tasty. Anyhow I've been nothing but pleased with this little gadget. It's nothing fancy, but I'll be darned if it doesn't make the tastiest grilled cheese everand without any butter or oil to boot!Want Chefmate 2 Slice Sandwich Maker Grill Nonstick Plates Upright Storage Discount?
I got this for those days when the sandstorms are unbearable and I don't feel like walking to the chow hall for the same thing I ate yesterday..It came quick, but the only problem is that it came with a broken handle and pieces just keep breaking off, but I dont wanna go through the hassle of sending it back so I think I can work around that issue. It just kinda sucks that it cost 30 bucks for this on amazon (after shipping) to come with a broken handle, when all the other reviewers spent 7 at target! O well, is what it is!Wednesday, June 11, 2014
Norpro Nonstick Cast Aluminum Mini Burgers Sliders Grill Pan with Nonstick Press
I figured it would be fine if I just used it to steam things then, and the second time I steamed something the entire bottom of the pan rusted, and my food and bamboo steamer came out smelling very funny.
If you are very careful with it, or don't cook much at all, it might be worth it, but otherwise I would invest in something a little less flimsy.

I am so dissapointed with this piece. If you cook meat, it is very easily get stick. I think the stick layer is too thin so that it does not work very well.DO NOT BUY IT.The very first time I tried to use it, the non-stick material melted. Yes. I mean MELTED. It was just lucky I noticed before I ate anything or I'd be at the hospital having my stomach pumped. Don't watse your money. Look elsewhere.

Unlike others, I found the nonstick coating to be effective at keeping things from sticking. However, it got peeled off in spots on the very first use, and that is with using only a wooden spatula to cook and a soft sponge to clean. Also the center of the wok is flat and very small, and the side slope up at a high angle from the center, so really food only gets cooked in the 5"-diameter center area. It is not really a hemisphere like traditional woks are, which acts to spread out the heat in a gradient from the center and allows for easier stirring as you fry. (It's called stir-fry for a reason).Friday, April 11, 2014
Mr. Bar-B-Q 40027X The Spice Arm
I came across the Spice Arm on an online tailgating blog and thought I would check it out. In the past I've used the traditional method of braving the hot coals and flames reaching across the grill to season my food while its grilling. I've tried the traditional long handled spice shakers, but having to fill, unfill, and clean them was a waste of time and I was always making a mess...plus, with a big family, making burgers alone has me using several different spices to accomidate everyone's personal preferences. This method had me filling and unfilling it only to do it all again when I flipped the burgers.
The Spice Arm solves all those problems. Not only does it require no prep or clean up, it allows you to simply snap in your existing spice shakers, uncap, and apply. The spices and seasoning stay in their original shakers which means no waste. The long handle allows you to season food on even the largest grills without fear of being burnt and the head of the Spice Arm easily accomidates all spice shakers.
Would've given it a 5 Star rating if it came with a bottle opener on the handle, otherwise, a must for anyone who loves to grill.

WeatherReady BBQ Cover
Buy WeatherReady BBQ Cover Now
I literally spend 2-3 hours scouring the internet to find a cover to fit my husband's new grill which is 83" L x 51" H x 28" D and it fits wonderfully... even has a little room to spare. The other places I found one were asking over $100... yeah right! So glad I found this and it's a great price and also well made.If you plan to store this outside, you'll only get a couple of good years out of it before the fabric becomes brittle and tears.Excellent keeps the rain off the large barbeque we have. The only downside is that it mildews quickly and you have to really powerwash it to remove the stains. I think I'll find a black one next time to eliminate seeing the ugliness.Wednesday, February 5, 2014

Bayou Classics Cast Iron Reversible Griddle
The cast iron MUST be seasoned, but can be done on top of the burners, no oven required. The cast iron MUST be heated slowly to prevent distortion and cracking. Remember, there is a lot of thermal mass here. One bit of advice, sand the cooking surface to remove the lumps and roughness from the (I presume) sand mold. An orbital sander and successive grits works fine.
The griddle meets my requirements beautifully. The cooking is fun and efficient. Cleaning is ridiculously easy. Sure, it is not laser-flat, but close enough. My only surprise was that it survived shipping in the incredibly thin packaging. This is a bargain. It is the most inexpensive piece of new metal/pound I ever brought. There are some minor grinding marks on the outside edge, but they are gone with the first couple of uses and seasoning. The griddle and frying finish are fine. Plus, you can't beat the price. I don't normal write reviews, but this desires a good solid rating for its workmanship, cost and free shipping. Just be mindful at 28 inches long, it is big it's size surprised me somewhat.

This could have been a really good grill that would have lasted a lifetime. However, the first one I recieved had deep groves in it from poor casting. Amazon replaced it with another. The second grill had the same grooves and large deep divits created from someone trying to use a grinder. I dont recomend this to anyone since you will be disapointed with a grill that could be great if it was manufactured properly.Read Best Reviews of Bayou Classics Cast Iron Reversible Griddle Here
I placed this on the 2, 30,000 btu burners on the camp chef stove. It's great !
Good sear marks and flavor, along with very fast cooking !
Lot's 'o realestate for cooking
It's very hot to handle after cooking, but I found, that a pair of welders gloves solved that problem nicely!Seen other review about being warped, but others that said it was very good. First one was warped, sent bake for replacement. Second one is warped worse! Do yourself a favor and buy a different griddle, two out of two is not a average. Also be prepared to do some grinding and sanding. They come with rough and sharp edges that need to be removed. Poor quality item BEWARE!
