Wolfgang Puck Indoor Electric Reversible Grill & Griddle
Finally found this Wolfgang Puck. Perfectly flat eggs don't roll at all, staying in a circle. Gets hot enough to make really good pancakes and is big enough to make four. Haven't tried the grill side yet.
Surface heating seems to be uniform. I browned all four pancakes to the same level of 'brownness'.
UPDATE (June 2010):
The numbers on the thermostat wash off within 6 months. You will not be able to determine temperature settings. Manufacturer is unresponsive.

I like it. The next best thing to a commercial-grade grill. The entire surface temperature appears to be even as I don't see a difference in how quickly items cook on one side versus the other or the edges versus the middle. Any griddle you buy will be a pain to clean (isn't cleaning ALWAYS a PAIN?) but this one cleans relatively easy. The griddle/grill lifts off the base and there is a drip-pan underneath that is also removable.Only problem I have, which is not really a problem with the griddle, is that I can't be running too many items in the kitchen while I use it because it will trip the Kitchen Outlets' circuit breaker.

I purchased this item in November 2011. I used it 3 times when I noticed that it was not heating evenly. I called the 800# on my instruction book to order a replacement part. It is now April 25, 2012 and still no part. I call every 2 weeks to check on it and get the same story. It is backordered and should be in within 4-6 weeks. I am really frustrated with this and will not recommend this grill because of the replacement part issue. I think it could be a great item and I do realize that everyone makes a "lemon" once in a while. I feel like I have been very patient-I even put off writing a review in hopes that the part would be here and I could write a favorable review. I wish they would just send me a new grill instead of having to wait on the part since it has been so long. I have no faith in this product or the customer service at Wolfgang Puck.Well, it now almost the 1st of June and still no part for my griddle and no idea when the backordered part will be in. Would never buy another Wofgang Puck product.

This is the greatest griddle we have ever owned. We love how it cooks food evenly. The only complaint is the product itself wasn't in mint condition. The black plastic around the handle areas had many little chips. Unless pointed out they are barely noticeable. Seems like a manufacturing flaw not damage from shipment. This was the second one reshipped and it had the same flaws on it.Friday, April 18, 2014

Blacktop 360 HFI Premium Party Hub Grill/Fryer, Black/Blue
I would recommend this to folks whos are looking to add to an existing outdoor cooking experience. If you are looking to get creative and will utilize the griddle, grill, warmer and deep fryer at the same time, you can really impress a group with this thing but if you are looking to grill steaks, chops, burgers, brauts for more than 4 or 5 people at one time. I'd stick to a dedicated grill or add this to one you are already using.
Pros:
-Convenient
-Portability
-Versatility
-Attractive
-Ruggedness
-Complete
Cons:
-Smallish actual grilling Surface (Don't expect to cook for 4 or more people in one shot if doing burgers or steaks, dogs, etc.)
-Somewhat heavy (IT packs away nicley in it's bag but it's not light for a child or small adult to load)
-Promotes bad eating habits but soooo good (ie: deep fryer)We committed to tailgating at all the home games this year, GO RAVENS! We are new to the party but wanted to do it right so we started searching for tailgating ideas online and came across the Blacktop 360. We passed on it for several reasons and honestly their marketing/ads are their own worst enemy. One of our biggest concerns was size and practicality. While at the same time we wanted something fun and different. AND THEN I came across one at our BJ's Wholesale Warehouse. Once we were able to get one in hand and check it out we decided to buy it, we could always take it back... We ended up going back and buying a second one!!
Talk about a huge hit and major conversation piece!! We grilled polish sausages, hot dogs, and burgers. And while it's true the grilling surface isn't huge (ie.. you're cooking 6-7 dogs/sausages and 3-4 burgers and no more at a time) it was hot, fast, and efficient. We used the warmer to keep it all ready to serve. We used the deep fryer to cook seafood egg rolls, 3 lbs of bacon, and 2 lbs of bologna, and the griddle to toast the buns. It was FANTASTIC! We fed about 50 people, used less than one small can of propane, and was once never disappointed in the 360. Cannot wait to go back and do it again!
The design is efficient, have to give credit where it credit is due. They truly thought of everything. Set-up & clean-up were quick and easy. The system for draining the oil was all good. The legs are designed in such a way that the unit is extremely stable and it honestly couldn't be any easier. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this thing! So very happy with my purchase! The second one? It's not because we needed more space or one wasn't enough... it is a gift for the gentleman who made tailgating possible for us this year. (If you are familiar with M&T Bank Stadium you know parking is golden!) He too fell in love with the unit and will be receiving one as a thank you gift.

I actually purchased this grill off of GroupOn for 150 + Shipping, but I figured I'd spread my wings and write about it on here for any prospective grill buyers. As a former alum of a major university and a fan of several nearby professional sports teams, I wanted to find something that would be far more easy and practical compared to charcoal grills, and wasn't afraid to spend a little bit of money in doing so. I saw this and was immediately taken back by its unique design and the fact that it had a deep fryer in the center. So after looking around for reviews (including on Amazon), I decided to pull the trigger.
Upon receipt, it was very well packaged, and surprisingly larger than I had anticipated! It comes basically assembled except for a few things such as a drip pan and container which attaches when you are ready to dispose of unwanted fat and similar fluids. It also has a steaming cover, thermometor for the fryer, and a cutting board, nice bonuses! But boy was it heavy! Not in a bad way, as it is sturdily built, just be prepared when it is zipped up to expect an uncomfortable trip to and from the car. On a similar note with the case, the strap is noticeably thin, so I worried that it would snap. Fortunately it withstood about a 200 yard walk to and from the campground. Just in case, hold onto the hand strap while carrying it and to relieve some pressure off of your shoulder.
I decided to break it out for a dry run in preparation for my school's homecoming next week, and I thought the perfect setting/victims would be my softball team. Upon busting it out, it took a little bit of reading to get everything set up, but I think it was moreso our lack of understanding with what was required. MAKE SURE to get a AA battery for the ignitor. We had forgotten one, but were able to instead light it with a lighter that somebody had, but I'm guessing it works marvelously.
The grill heated up instantaneously, and consists I believe of 3 different lighting locations in the grill, griddle, and deep fryer. The grill is about 2-3 inches below the grill cover, so we made sure to turn it all the way down to reduce burning. I threw 3 quarter pound burgers (the most you can get on the grill at a time), about 10 hot dogs on the griddle, and used the warming plate for buns. Then I filled up the deep fryer with some health-conscious Virgin Olive Oil and threw in a healthy portion of fries. One thing I found great was that since you can control the three main cooking areas separately, I could control the speed at which they were cooked more easily.
After about 10-15 minutes, everything was good and cooked, and served to my teammates. They all commented on how attractive the design was of the grill, and how many different functioning parts there were. Then the taste test. Delicious! No propane residue and the porcelain seared the burgers nicely, albeit a little thicker than usual. Completely even cooking, however, and easy to get the burgers off. Immediately I threw on some more burgers, and even used the griddle as a second "grill" to get 3 turkey burgers up, and had some additional room for more hot dogs. More importantly, the fries came out amazingly.
At this point we discovered something. DO NOT put the steaming cover on the grill portion. There doesn't seem to be enough aeration to keep the propane lit if the cover is on for more than a few minutes, and we thought we had run out of propane fluid. A quick unscrew and rescrew showed that it was in fact still good, and we relit and went on our merry way, feeding a few more teams while we were at it!
Upon completion, we noticed that we had been feeding a constant fire to all of the heating surfaces for an hour, and still had a quarter or half left of the propane tank! Very cost effective if you ask me, especially for what you get. Cleanup was typical, although we had a softball game to play, I forgot to remove the grease and it had pooled in the bottom of the grill. Not fun... Then I packed it up and put it back in the car.
This grill is pretty much one of the best combination grills I have ever seen and used for the price point, as long as you are aware that it has its limitations with how much food you can put on at a time. With a little creativity and planning, though, you can keep your guests entertained with a first course of food such as hot dogs while the other burgers come out. I am SUPER pleased I bought this grill, and hope you would too :)

Draws a crowd because that is what it takes to try to clean it, no matter how much grill prep I do everything I have cooked has stuck to grill, the much ado about nothing super burner looks like it will quickly become so encrusted with food that it will become unusable, save your time and buy a reguler grill, that you do not have to soak in the bathtub to try to clean. Would have returned but knew it would never go back in the box it came out of.Want Blacktop 360 HFI Premium Party Hub Grill/Fryer, Black/Blue Discount?
We broke it in at a NDSU Bison football game. We made pancakes and sausage for breakfast. The Griddle worked great. For the main course we had ribeye steaks on the grill, deepfried shrimp and cheese balls in the fryer and texas toast on the griddle. The warming area does keep things warm. I ordered a extra metal cover (from the 360 maker) so I had one for the warmer and one to put over the grill. It worked great for hamburgers and fries and the deck.
To clean,You just tip the top up and slowly pour the cooled oil in the included metal catch bottle. Clean with soap and water.

For years I have been dangerously stacking one burner grate on top of another on my gas range when I made things that needed simmering to keep them from burning on the bottom of the pan. A friend recommended I try this item, and I love it! I can't believe I ever mades sauces, chili, or soups without it.Read Best Reviews of Cast Iron Heat Diffuser with Handle by Ilsa 8.25 Inch Here
Decided to write this review as I didn't see any others reviewing this for a ceramic top or induction range. Took a chance and ordered it anyway and am so glad I did. I have an induction hybrid range (2 regular electric + 2 induction electric burners)with a ceramic surface. I needed a diffuser for 2 reasons: to use my tagine and to convert an induction burner for use with non cast-iron cookware. Works great for both. It does have a ridge on the bottom which I think is designed for a gas range but it works fine on my largest burner, which is induction, as well as the regular electric burners, as long as the ridge makes contact with the burner. Does not scratch the cooking surface of my smooth ceramic cooktop. Very happy with my purchase!Want Cast Iron Heat Diffuser with Handle by Ilsa 8.25 Inch Discount?
Well made, works great. Well packaged. I can now work outside and let the soup simmer without fear of burning. Rice does not burn. Wish I had know about this before.Monday, November 18, 2013
Earthchef Montane Frying Pan
Pasted below is a mini-diary of some comparisons:
Stove is an ordinary, four-burner, electric coil stove.
2/1/12
Berghoff and Orgreenic treated with high-temp safflower oil, 25 minutes medium to medium-high heat.
2/2/12
Eggs, low-medium to medium heat. Light application of olive oil.
Cooking: All required a spatula to flip.
Farberware & Orgreenic tied.
Berghoff slightly more sticky with thin bits on egg clinging to pan.
Cleanup: Interiors of all easily cleaned up with soapy water and soft sponge, more easily than the nylon Good Cook spatula.
Exteriors: The ceramic pans show some persistent residue from the previous seasoning. The metal exterior bottom of the Berghoff looks a little better than the gray exterior bottom of the Orgreenic, which is showing a lot of little chips.
The metal bottom of the Farberware pan looks cleaner, probably because as a Teflon pan settings higher than medium are always avoided.
2/4/12
Eggs, cheddar cheese, sliced garlic, cayenne pepper. Between medium and medium-high heat. Light application of olive oil.
Pans rotated between burners to try to equalize cooking temperature.
Both required a spatula, but non-stick performance was about equally good for the Berghoff and Orgreenic. The Orgreenic seems to cook a little faster. The Farberware pan did not participate, because it is assumed it would probably be non-stick enough up to medium heat, but it should not be used above that setting.
Cleanup: Interiors of both easily cleaned up with soapy water and soft sponge. The gray exterior bottom of the Orgreenic is showing more wear.
2/5/12
I gave both pans another treatment with safflower oil, this time at high heat. My burners smoke, but the oil does not.
Light application of olive oil. Medium high setting. Farberware Teflon pan is excused from participating. Thin steak, no lids, add onions near end, add Salsa Brava. Orgreenic seems to cook a little faster again. Berghoff shows more stuck, cooked, meat juice residue.
Cleanup: Although the Berghoff looks a little uglier going into the sink, interiors of both equally easily cleaned up with soapy water and soft sponge.
Olive oil, potato slices (about ¼'thick), medium-high heat. Orgreenic seems to brown them faster than the Berghoff. Very non-stick with both pans.
2/9/12
Light application of olive oil. Medium high setting. Farberware Teflon pan is excused from participating. Thin pork loin, no lids. After meat removed, followed immediately by sliced potato. The Orgreenic seems to cook a little faster again, but it is producing more blackened residue, and it looks a little uglier than the Berghoff going into the sink. The Berghoff washes easily with soapy water and soft sponge. The Orgreenic mostly cleans well, but some traces of blackened residue are resistant. The rougher side of the sponge seems to clean it off okay.
I reseasoned both pans at medium high with canola oil. Unlike the other oils, this one does smoke, more so with the Orgreenic pan, and canola has a rather foul, fishy odor at that temperature. It also seems to cook up a little patch of previously unseen brownish residue on the Orgreenic pan. After cooling, an application of the rough side of the sponge and hot water seems to remove it.
2/10/12
Sitram Profiserie 9½-Inch Stainless Steel Lid has arrived from Amazon.
Gave both ceramic pans another treatment with safflower oil to help flush out any remaining canola oil.
Light application of olive oil. Medium setting. Frying pan lids. Sunnyside up eggs, one each, all three pans.
Both the Berghoff and the Orgreenic need a little bit of assistance from the spatula, but then slide easily. The Berghoff has a little bit more residue. The egg is able to slide on the Teflon Farberware pan without the spatula.
Cleanup: Equally easy from this experiment. The Orgreenic is showing a tiny bit of persistent dark residue on the interior edge near the handle, probably from the previous experiment.
Exteriors, bottom: The Farberware shows hardly any wear or residue. Both ceramic pans show some persistent residue, possibly caused by higher temperature experiments. The Orgreenic's plain bottom with the same finish as the sides is showing a lot of little scrapes.
Measurements:
Farberware Nonstick Aluminum Egg Poacher (with poacher and lid removed) has outside diameter of the lid lip of about 7 7/8 inches, nearly vertical sides 391g
Telebrands (5827-6) 10" Orgreenic Frying Pan has outside diameter of about 10 inches, curved and sloped sides. 665g
BergHOFF Earthchef 10.25" Montane Frying Pan has outside diameter of about 10 7/8 inches, curved and sloped sides. 973g
Lids: The Farberware has a dedicated glass lid.
The RSVP Stainless Steel Universal Lid-7 to 12 Inch sits flat enough on either ceramic pan, but on each the angled handle forces it to be off-center.
The Nordic Ware Restaurant 10 inch Brushed Stainless-Steel Lid fits well on the Berghoff, but the inner portion is too wide to sit well on the Orgreenic.
Sitram Profiserie 9.5-Inch Stainless Steel Lid fits the Orgreenic pan. Not perfectly, a little bit wobbly, but best so far for this pan. If they made a 9 inch lid, it would probably be just right.I was quite happily making fried eggs with almost no oil just minutes after getting this pan. Nothing stuck, and the pan was quite easy to clean with just a wet sponge once it cooled down. Just as easy as any PTFE-based pan I've used in the past. The pan itself is well-designed, and it works perfectly on my induction cooktop. (The first non-PTFE non-stick pan I've found that DOES do this successfully!)
I've noticed that most of these non-PTFE pans get very good reviews at first, but often start breaking down within a few months. I'll be sure to edit my review after a while either way, to note whether the pan is failing or not, and adjust the rating if needed...
Apr 30, 2012 edit: I've had the pan for about 6 months now. The non-stick coating is holding up quite well, in my opinion, though it does seem to have degraded slightly since it was new. I've noticed that small bits of food will occasionally stick...but these just wipe off with a sponge.
My only complaint (as noted in the comments) is that the bottom does bulge a bit towards the center, so liquids pool around the edges somewhat...making it easier to burn things in the center if you're not attentive. I'm otherwise extremely happy with this pan, though!

Scan Pan used to be my go to pan but not any more. The Earth Chef pan is now my go to pan. It's non stick coating is far better than any of the others I've had including Calphalon, Cuisinart and All Clad. I use scrambled eggs as my test for non stick success. This pan does it all from searing to sauteing and it's reasonably priced compared to the big names. I highly recommend it.We were looking for a pan that is non stick, this size and healthy (not cancerous). This is it. it's beautiful, quality work and is all we hoped it would be. Recommend.nonstick surface is great, doesn't need any spray or oil; shape is easy to use. handle is comfy. Porcelain Coated Steel Wire Cooking Grid
I cleaned everything out according to the manual and replaced the rusted grates with these new ones and it's like I have a new grill. I managed to snag a set of refurbed ones (I am guessing they were a return as there are no blemishes or signs of use) for less then fifty dollars.
Great buy.

Bayou Classic Dual Burner Outdoor Patio Stove
--UPDATE: 5/5 ---
I called Bayou Classic to receive a new regulator. The person on the phone was very friendly and said one would ship right away. It has been more than two weeks and I am still waiting. I called the 800 number and was sent to a voice message instructing me to call another number. I have had this product almost 30 days without a sucessful use. I might just ship it back.
--UPDATE: 5/22 ---
I finally spoke to someone at Bayou Classic two weeks ago. I was told the regulators had just come in and one would ship the next day. I am still waiting for my part. I have been trying to reach Bayou Classic via phone all morning, and I only get a busy signal. I would not recommend buying the company's product. The people seemed friendly, but the company has failed to deliver a replacement part within 6 weeks.
Amazon customer service was nice enough to send me a replacement burner. As always, I think Amazon customer service is great, but I am still not impressed with Bayou Classic. I would not buy its products again.
--UPDATE: 5/29 ---
This really needs to be a 1 star review. I received my replacement unit and tested it. The gas line had a leak in it. So you are not surprised, it says Made in China. The regulators Bayou Classic received from the manufacturer are bad. If you've read this far, I should note that I still have yet to receive my replacement gas regulator from the company after 6 weeks. Amazon is refunding me because this product is junk. Do not buy Bayou Classic!
--Update: 6/8 --
In doing my best to be fair, I received the replacement regulator today. It's too bad I shipped the product back for a refund 10 days ago. I wish Bayou International would have just said there was a backlog on this item the times I called. Although, nearly 8 weeks is a pretty long time to wait for a replacement part. This is a great cooker. My husband wanted one that had two burners and no wind guards. Saw this and the price was great. We cooked a boiler of shrimp on one side and a boiler of potatoes and corn on the other. Worked wonderful. It was sturdy and just what he wanted. I would highly recommend this cooker. I don't think you will be disappointed in it.

First of all I'll throw in a plug for Amazon....we have purchased from them several times in recent years and have always been happy. We received our table in super fast time. It works great with my new cast iron reversible griddle #7428 28". My only regret is that I didn't know about the 3 eyed unit at the time I purchased it. Although it is still great I wish the legs were more sturdy and about a foot longer. I am a short 5'3 and we still had to build a rise to set in on. The legs seem a little flimzy but still work well as long as you are careful. I had to contact theBayou company as one of the controls didn't work but they were great and the piece arrived UPS fast in about two days. I would buy this all over again. After using for a while I will add that we have had no problems..although I have never felt that the legs were sturdy enough nor long enough; we have had no problems. Just a warning...be very careful ...especially is there are children around. This is no toy. This grill gets really hot and I do worry about the stability of those legs.

price is not bad when compare with other bands and other online website.it is good for stir-fry outside your house and boil soup.
It might not be a good idea for who do not know how to adjust gas frame.
too strong gas frame will burn your cooking.
it is good for me with decent price (stove + gas line.)

Not bad for the price. I bought mine directly from somewhere else back then. It's really meant to be outdoors. I had mine for more than five years. The only maintenance you need to do is cover the regulator assembly to prevent rain water to get in and try not to get the burner wet with oil bec. it's going to be rusty.
