I was very skeptical about this product but thought I'd give it a try because we use our grill very frequently and it gets very dirty. I added 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice to the water reservoir before adding the water. To test it, I tried cleaning a section with the Grate Chef without pressing the water button (i.e., like a regular wire-bristled grill brush) and then tried the rest using the button to add water as I cleaned. The difference was pretty amazing. It cleaned the grill beautifully in no time.

I suppose you could try using a damp rag and a regular brush but that would be very messy. The bristles seem to be of good quality and I expect them to last awhile.

As my grill heated, I filled the reservoir with water and lemon juice. However, when I tried to clean the grill little or no water came through the grill brush. The brush is quite sturdy, so the grill was a little cleaner after using the brush even though no steam appeared on the heated grill. I am very disappointed in this product.

I ordered this product from Amazon, got in in the mail a week later. The first time I used it, the bristles started falling out and nothing would spray out of it. Went straight to the trash. That was a quick waste of $15.

It is difficult to fill in most kitchen sinks, because the sink center divider limits how much you can tilt the long brush. You have to repeat a partial fill and tilt operation several times.

Avoid the Grill Dozer, it is well made but totally useless as a steam cleaning brush. The Grill Dozer Steam Cleaning Grill Brush is totally useless for its intended purpose. It holds only a tiny amount of water and produces a very weak spray from a single nozzle on the front edge.

What a disappointment this was. I know it's not a real "steam" brush but I thought it would work better over the Grill Daddy so I bought it over that. Before I got to use it on the grill the loop hole broke off, then I tried to tie the "leather" strap that came with it around the handle so I can still hook it on the grill, that broke in pieces with every little pull I put on it. The brush does not hold much water in the handle and I've easily used all of it before the grill was clean. When it's fullm the water squirts out nicely for a few pumps but then it just trickles out. This is a regrettable purchase and I will move on to the Grill Daddy. My brother in-law has Grill Daddy one it seem to work fine for him.
