I was very happy with the quality of this item. It doesn't fit in the hole in my grill-top, but I'm sure a hardware store has the accessories needed to make this happen. Very happy indeed!!

The description of the item says it fits in the Brinkmann SmokeN'Pit, but it does not. Beware if that is the model you possess. Also, it comes loose and not packaged, simply wrapped in bubble paper... why does a new item not have a Brinkmann official packaging?

9" DIAMETER ROUND BAKING STONE

9' DIAMETER ROUND BAKING STONEI bought this pizza stone for my SuperWave halogen/convection oven so I could have crisper crusts. Because the oven crisps things from the top down, the bottom of my frozen pizzas (and other things) weren't as crispy as I wanted them. This pizza stone fits into the oven and it does crisp the bottom. I would like it to become hotter, but then I started getting into the "how long to heat it up" and "how much power" vs the benefit of having a SuperWave style oven in the first place. So it works... my crusts are crispier and my frozen pizza is much, much better. It just isn't like a real pizza oven.

it is hard to get the crusty burnt bits off the stone. so if cheese runs off your crust, it'll leave a brown mark. the directions say not to use soap to clean, just water because the stone is porous. recommend that you put this on a cookie sheet so the cheese doesn't spill into the oven.

otherwise, works as advertised.

This is a nice little baking stone for small pizzas. It fits perfectly into my small convection/toaster oven. It's like other stone products, it will stain. Wipe off large matter and embrace the stains. It just means the stone is "seasoned".

Perfect just what I was looking for to use while camping on our camper stove we needed a small one

Want 9" DIAMETER ROUND BAKING STONE Discount?

Perfect size for my Fagor Table top oven. Now I can cook french fries and they are crisp not soggy, I was layering the fries on top of the cooking grates that are provided, which worked ok, but very annoying when they drop down.

Update after multiple uses and cleanings. One thing I forgot to mention, until the stone is seasoned, the food will stick.

Primo 336 Ceramic Chicken Sitter

Primo 336 Ceramic Chicken SitterI have used chicken cookers in the past but this one is by far the best. The chicken just slides right off after it is done and tender and juicy. You simply can't screw up chicken with this.

This is the same as the other Sittin chicken roaster with the logo on it. Way better to buy the combo and get both sizes for a lower price.

George Foreman GFSG80 Super Searing Grill, Stainless Steel

George Foreman GFSG80 Super Searing Grill, Stainless SteelI just got this grill yesterday so I can't tell you if the thing will hold up, but it works just as advertised. I had a specific use for the grill when I bought it I have a smoker and smoke meats all of the time. The flavor is always good, but of course the smoked meat is usually more steamed than grilled. So I wanted a grill where I could throw on a cut of cooked, smoked meat and get some carmelization and crispyness on the outside at the last minute before serving. I can tell you that if you want a grill that can really sear the grill marks onto the meat, this is the perfect tool. It has a feature where you set your cooking temp, and then push a button that fires it up to 525 degrees, and holds the temp there for 90 seconds, whereby it then drops to the pre-set temp. When I put some just smoked country style ribs on the grill, they sizzed and smoked just the way you would want they got crispy with the grill marks in just a few minutes. I pressed down on the top to get even contact all around.

The grill is not large basically about 9 x 9 ", but it was large enough to hold 5 good sized boneless country ribs. The hinged top worked great the ribs where over an inch thick and there was complete contact from the top grill. The grease tray caught all of the drippings, and the non-stick surface cleaned easily with a wet paper towell do it while the grill is still warm.

The temperature is thermostatically controlled, and it holds whatever temp you set very well. Temps available are 300-425 in 25 degree increments, and of course the searing setting. The manual says not to press the surge (searing) button after the first searing, however being curious I tried pushing it again, and it did bring the temp up again. I think that there could be a grease fire hazard at that temp, so that is probably why they say not to do that. The grill has a small (and quiet) internal fan which cycles on and off to help hold the temperature setting. The stainless steel body of the grill gets too hot to touch, yet the handle never gets too hot though I imagine it could if you had it running for a long time. It also has a timer that you can set to remind you when your cooking time has been reached. The timer does not shut of the grill when it rings that must be done manually. The timer minutes and the temp are both shown in a small but very readable LED.

I'll update this review at a later date if parts start falling off or whatever but for now, I'm very happy with the results.

Updatestill working fine as of 11/2011!

I recently received this grill as a wedding gift and have used it a few times since unpacking it. I have to say that I'm very impressed with it so far. At this time, I've cooked center cut porkchops, chicken breasts, hamburgers, and some veggies on the grill and all have turned out perfectly!

I've used the burst feature with a few of those meals and I think that feature is the best part of the machine. The "burst" allows you to sear the meat and lock in the flavor for the first 90 seconds of cook time. After 90 seconds, the temperature lowers to the set temperature and will remain on that temp until the cooking process is finished. Each meal that I've cooked has turned out perfectly very flavorful and tasty.

Reason I give 4 Stars:

VERY bulky the grill is not particularly big, but the casing of the grill is very bulky it's not a con for myself, but it may be one for those looking for a compact grill and who have less counter space

No removable plates although clean-up has not been particularly hard, it sure would be a perk to have removable plates...

All in all, I think this is a great grill and Amazon has the hands-down best price. This grill is at a popular bed and bath chain for $100 you just can't beat Amazon's prices. If you're looking for a great, all around counter-top grill, this one fits the bill. The floating hinge and burst features allow you to make everything from steaks to paninis It was everything that I was looking for!

It cooks nicely but the work it takes to clean it makes the item not worth using. It sits unused at this point. There's no drain for the top portion so when it's lifted off the cooked food it just runs down onto the back of the grill and onto the counter.

This gril preforms as advertized! Clean up is also much improved and easier done when it is cold (no more reheating the unit up or eating cold food in attempt to avoid reheating the unit for cleaning).

The searing part of it is great!

The only possible improvement to this would be to be able to give it the charcoal flavor with this unit that is merely a dream.

The grilling surface area is DEFINITELY large enough for a family of four.

Should you purchase this and I am totally pleased especially with the stainless steel finish, read the instructions carefully otherwise you may end up with a darkened countertop since I heeded that I have had no problem with that.

I highly recommend this product for anyone. I am a widow so I was surprised at the cooking area of this grill I simply cook more than one item on it at a time.

grills OK but have to agree with others that cleaning process makes this seldom used. Can only open 90 degrees which makes it a bit difficult to clean the top grill plate. Better option would be find something with removable plates.

GrillPro 41442 Double Chicken Roaster

GrillPro 41442 Double Chicken RoasterThis was a great device. I have only used it once. It set up easy. Cans are enclosed in the middle so there is no chance of them falling over. Drip pan is a nice feature. Used drippings to make gravy. I have used 2 other styles that were not as nice. Clean up was a snap. I was lazy so I just through it into the dishwasher. It all came clean, and storage is fantastic too. All folds up flat, which is a bonus because so many others are bulky.

We have had a single rack for a little over a year; however, the double one is much better! First of all, if we're having company we always cook more than 1 chicken. This rack helps fit two chickens in our grill much easier (they stand closer together then w/o a rack. The rack is high quality, and easy to clean. I am really impressed with this item!

We used to have a single non-stick roaster. It was never non-stick from day one, and after awhile, the coating started to peel. We then used foil to wrap the roaster which turned out to be a big hassle and mess.

Our new Grillpro is just wonderful. Beautiful design (fold-able) and construction (sturdy stainless steel). The drip pan is a MUST and unlike other brands, is big and deep enough for the juice/fat from the chickens. The handles on the drip pan are great!

Plenty of room for 2 chickens, they both turned out perfect, no spillage over the sides of the pan, easy cleanup in the dish washer and stores away nicely. I recommend this product to anybody.

All-Clad LTD 11-Inch Square Nonstick Grill Pan

All-Clad LTD 11-Inch Square Nonstick Grill PanI bought this pan after hearing my sister rave about it. It is terrific. I have grilled salmon, hamburgers, chicken breasts and pork tenderloin. Luckily, my sister gave me the secret to using the pan and easy clean up. Preheat the pan on Medium heat for ten minutes. DO NOT use any cooking spray or oil. This will ruin the pan. When you are done cooking, just fill the pan with soapy water and let soak for a few minutes. Rinse with water, scubbing lightly if necessary .

I would highly recommend this pan. It is like having a grill inside!

I've used a couple of other grill pans from other manufacturers and was never very impressed. But I decided to give it one more try with the All-Clad. What a difference. Everything I've made from fish to vegetables, soy burgers, steaks everything, has come out great. I've also found that it cleans up easily after a quick soaking. I don't use any spray and only oiled it as per the instructions the first time I used it. Northing sticks. Overall, a great pan I use several times a week.

I've owned this grill pan for almost 2 years now and it does a great job of grilling everything from burgers to chicken, fish and thick steaks. It has the ability to heat up to a very high temperature, enabling me to nicely sear the outside of the meat. I can then pop the whole pan in the oven to finish cooking the inside of thick steaks or just to keep warm. As for clean up, the pan does need to sit and soak for a little while but after that, everything comes off with relative ease. No hard scrubbing involved. Overall, I love this product and highly recommend it.

I have only owned this item for about 3 weeks and have used it at least 10 times already. What I like about it is that it is big enough to hold just about anything, leaves nice "grill marks", takes less energy and time to heat the pan, and it is very very easy to clean. If you find it hard to clean, it is probably because non-stick spray or even oil (not including butter) is being used. Don't do it. It is already "non-stick". Usually I put any oil that is needed on the meat or veggies first, then cook it. If you have a sticking problem, after cleaning the pan, rub a little soft scrub 0n the spot. This gets rid of any residue that may have caused the sticking to begin with. I think it is better than George Foreman, becuase the fat doesn't drain away which, in the end, saves the flavor.

We recently purchased a new oven featuring 3 Induction heating sites. We bought the oven b/c it was the counterpart to the new Refrigerator we bought and we really didn't know much about the induction heating feature. B/c I didn't read the manual at first (in my defense, it was an oven I didn't expect to need to do much reading), none of our new cookware worked with the induction burners (but some of our old stuff that we had already packaged to give to Goodwill did) so I thought it was either broken or I was doing something wrong. After reading the manual, we realized the problem you need specific types of cookware to use induction heat.

I had just spent a fairly significant amount of money buying a complete set of higher end Calphalon cookware none of which ended up being induction compatible. So we went to Macy's to try to find some items that would. After some research, we saw there were specific lines of Calphalon that were compatible so I bought two more frying pans, and three pots. When we got them home though these ones didn't work either. When we returned them, the sales lady mentioned "All Clad". She said it was the best stuff you can find on the consumer market, and that it's all induction compatible. It's expensive she warned, but it's worth it. I had just spent close to 700.00 on the Calphalon stuff so the All Clad Price tag was enough to make me do a double take expensive it is. To that end, I decided to try a few pots, so we got a 6qt, a 4qt, 2qt, 1.5qt one and a few other all-clad misc items.

We immediately tried a few of them out and my wife was amazed at how well it worked. Not only was the heat immediate (which you get with induction) but everything cooked up really well. Even though it's not like traditional teflon (or even calphalon) the non-stick aspect was phenomenal. She was so thrilled with it, that she talked me into getting a few frying pans (at this point it was way too late to return the Calphalon set I had bought for Christmas so we figured we'd have them both use the Calphalon for the regular burners, use the All-Clad for the induction ones). (I know get to the point). Well , this item was one of the 4 frying pans we bought (and strangely enough, was the only one that wasn't induction compatible).

The only thing negative about it, (and maybe I'm being unfair I should have done a little more homework, but I was told that *all* AllClad items were induction compatible) is that it didn't work with the induction heat. However, it was superb in every other respect so definitely decided to keep it.

Short of intentionally trying to get something to cake on to it by like frying glue and paint in it, I don't think you can get anything to stick to it. We're still getting used to the over so have burned a few things and even when we did, nothing stuck to it. We made cheeseburgers and a lot of the shredded cheese fell over the side. With the calphalon it's not much of a problem, one wipe will get it off. But we could use the spray from the faucet to get off everything burned on it. The cooking surface is quite large and the pan itself is quite sturdy. Because of its depth, even if there are grease splatters, the splatters are largely contained in the pan.

You have room to cook a tremendous amount of food and can easily cook completely different items in the quadrants of the pan (like Eggs on one side, burgers on the other) Because of its size it lends itself very well to using the "Dual" feature of the burners. It's balanced perfectly so despite its weight, you can easily lift it and move it around without having to use anything to protect your hand from the heat.

This particular pan was also considerably cheaper than all of the other AllClad items we had bought, in fact I think it was right in line with a typical Calphalon pan so that may be why it wasn't induction compatible. Also, although I did criticize it for not working with induction it wasn't the company that told us it would, it was the saleslady and it's certainly understandable that she may have just been confused.

The look and feel are testimony to how well it's built. We're new to this product but I think it's safe to assume it'll go out of style long before it'll need replaced. Functionally, the way that it distributes heat is really impressive even if all of the heat is focused on the middle part of the pan, the outer aspects still conduct heat to a very similar extent. If you use the Dual feature, things just cook faster but the heat stay evenly distributed in either case.

Finally, the packaging was really nice (All Clad takes a lot of care with their packaging reminiscent of what you'd see if Apple made frying pans), it arrived early and other than the induction issue, it's pretty much perfect. It is very easy to cook with. It distributes heat extremely well. It has a broad cooking area which is complimented by deep sides allowing you to use to for many different cooking scenarios. It's perfectly balanced so despite the weight, even an elderly person with arthritis would have little problem using it. To top all of that off, the handle, although made of polished metal, doesn't conduct heat so irrespective of how hot the pan gets, the handle never gets hot. From start to finish it's a well crafted product that's definitely worth the price.

Oh well...

8 Person Stelvio Raclette Party Grill with Granite Stone

8 Person Stelvio Raclette Party Grill with Granite StoneI was very disappointed to unpack this item and only find the granite top included. The pictures show both a granite top and a metal top. The description also states it come with "Reversible non-stick top for grilling; flip over to cook eggs, pancakes, and crepes." That reversible top was not included and I'm waiting to hear what the company is going to do about it.

This is our second raclette by Swissmar and I was excited to try the granite top. I quickly learned that it doesn't get as hot as the reversible metal top on my other raclette and it doesn't cook meat or vegetables nearly as fast. I know I can put it in my over to get it hotter than the element can do and then put it on the raclette but the element should be able to heat it enough to cook as the metal grills cook. Because there is no lip on the granite top, it is difficult to turn things over with a spatula. The cutout around the grill for juices to run into fills up quickly and then the grill overflows onto the table or counter. We love our raclette with the metal top and use it 2 -3 times a week and have created lots of great recipes for it. We were excited to get the second one so we could have people over for dinner as the first is way too small for 8 people. Now we have two but one doesn't cook well because it only has the granite top.

Vent Register Filters

Vent Register FiltersThese filters do exactly what the package claims: "Helps trap dirt, dust, smoke, and pollen size particles." They are not HEPA filters and do not claim to remove all allergens or dust. But it definitely helps, and I figure it can't hurt, especially at a price this low around $.33/filter!

The filters are easy to install, just remove your vent cover and insert the filter from the bottom. They can be cut to achieve a good fit. After 90 days or so, they can be carefully removed and you will see lots of dust and particles trapped in the filter, on both sides. This system is as effective at keeping particles out of your HVAC system as it is for keeping the system from spreading dust through your home, so I leave them in year round, even though we do not need to use our system in the summer months, just to prevent dust and dirt from entering the ducts. Last summer we did some renovation work. After running the system in the winter after the project, I found that the vents captured a lot of sawdust that had found it's way into the HVAC system. I'm glad these filters were in place otherwise that sawdust would be spread around my home right now.

You can even reuse the filters, lowering cost of use to near $.15 or even lower just wash them thoroughly with water, hang dry, and replace.

I use these vent filters in my window vents, which I made from plastic floor registers, placed sideways into a window, then close the window down on top of the registers. I used a strip of foam insulation along the top of the registers to make a good seal. I put three of these vent filters into each open plastic register, and by placing them in the window I get ventilation and the three filters take out all pollens and dust. I change the filters about every three months. They have been very successful for getting fresh air into the house, without dust or allergens.

These catch vent debris very well. The problem we had was that they blocked air flow a lot and made our AC work harder. We took them out...just not energy efficient in our opinion.

I purchased some of these last year in a store and installed them before the heat went on. I forgot about them until this winter. I pulled one out and couldn't believe how filthy it was. I couldn't find them in a store this year so I found them on Amazon. I noticed that in one room I forgot to put one in last year and the ceiling fan was very dusty. The fans in the other rooms barely needed cleaning, just a light dust, not even noticeable. As far as blocking air flow, as another user reported, I have not had that experience. I can feel the flow of heat quite well from the vents in the cathedral ceiling and I am a short person. I would recommend this item for cutting down on the dust that circulates in your home.

Want Vent Register Filters Discount?

I bought this because all my wooden furniture around ducts gets covered in dust. I suspect the ductwork has never been cleaned, and I didn't want to pay to get that done since I was planning on moving soon. I have two registers in one room about 12ft apart (on the same duct), I installed it on one and left the other open I have furniture by both. After about a month of not dusting I could see the one without the filter collected about twice as much dust on the desk right below it. This filter didn't get rid of/capture all the dust, but it definitely made a difference. If you have clean ductwork and a good whole house filter in theory you shouldn't need this, but for those who dont it might work well. It was porus enough to where i didn't notice any great loss in air flow through the registers. Definitely a good product.

Jensen JGA8200ADX Jenn-AirR Designer Line Gas Griddle Accessory

Jensen JGA8200ADX Jenn-AirR Designer Line Gas Griddle AccessoryFrom the first time I lit it up, I absolutely loved the 48" Jenn Air cooktop we put in during our kitchen renovation, with one exception: the grill. They get dirty and are hard to get clean, and they let the pan underneath them get dirty as well. The solution? The griddle accessory. Anything that gets under it to the pan is going to be in one spot, which makes that cleanup task easy. The griddle itself just gets thrown in the sink and washed. But the real plus is that special crispy cooking it puts on stuff. I stuck the grills in the cabinet under the stove, but honestly, I might as well have stashed them in a dark corner of the basement. They're unlikely to be used ever again.

Arrived quickly and it works great and is of high quality. I'm glad to have this option on my range and it is fantastic for breakfasts. You can do your pancakes, bacon, and eggs, all at once. It takes a little longer to heat up then you might expect but I believe that has more to do with the power of my gas range. Very easy to clean as well.

I have used this gridde just a few times now, but what an amazing accessory that expands the usefullness of my Jennair range. It is so easy to use, and to clean, and food tastes great, too. Salmon never tasted so good from the oven. Grilled sandwiches come to life on the griddle. Really, can't say enough good things about it. It's fun, and it looks really good besides. Wish i found out about this before. But i only heard about it when researching for the grill attachments, and like so many have said elsewhere, who needs the grill when you have the griddle? So glad i got turned on to this thing, and if you are on the fence, i think you will really like it.
