Kitchen Essentials® from Calphalon® Hard Anodized Nonstick Double Grill

Kitchen Essentials® from Calphalon® Hard Anodized Nonstick Double GrillThis double grill is everything I had hoped for in grilling hamburgers, steaks, vegetables, etc. on my gas stovetop. It provides the food outdoor grilllook, but without the hassle. It is easy to clean and store.

I ordered this item because I own calphalon cookware and love it.

When I received my grill today-I couldn't wait to use it. I grilled burgers which I have usually done in a skillet. I am amazed at the results-the burgers tasted delicious and looked as if they came off a traditional gas grill. Clean up was easy!

I really love this product which is a magnificent deal even if it were twice the price I paid.

3M Scotch-Brite Griddle Screen 200CC, 4' x 5.5'
  • The heat-resistant griddle screen scours cooking surfaces at operating temps up to 350°F.
  • A heavy-duty abrasive surface tackles baked-on food and grease
  • Used with a griddle pad holder, helps protect hands from burns, grease and soil
  • Can be used with cooking oil to clean and polish grills and griddles

This 3M Scotch-Brite even cleans toilet bowls with no residue. I was unsuccessful with Bleach cleaners and Ajax. Wolfgang Puck WPWB0040 Rotating Grill-and-Bake Waffle Iron

Wolfgang Puck WPWB0040 Rotating Grill-and-Bake Waffle IronWe bought this waffle maker primarily because of its removable plates.

After using it about 4 times, it became very difficult to rotate the waffle maker after pouring the batter. After it cooled off and was cleaned, I took the bottom off of the unit. There is a plastic tab that locks the plates in a horizontal position until you close them together. When you slide the handle forward it presses down on the plastic tab and allows the waffle maker to rotate.

Well, the plastic tab is spring-loaded in a metal bracket. This metal bracket is attached to the plastic frame with 4 screws which screw into 4 flimsy nubs molded into the plastic frame. All 4 of the nubs had broken off allowing the metal bracket to slide around inside the waffle maker. I feel we were lucky that the metal bracket didn't cause a short circuit in one of the printed circuit boards inside the waffle maker. I have removed the metal bracket with the spring-loaded plastic tab from the waffle maker. The plates can tip slightly to the side when pouring in the batter, but otherwise it works OK.

There is some sort of plastic tab at the back of the waffle maker that I can hear and feel lock into place after the plates are rotated for cooking the waffle. Based on the cheap construction I observed when I had the bottom removed, I am expecting that tab to break in the near future.

We certainly won't be buying another Wolfgang Puck waffle maker.

I have become a regular Amazon customer, but I bought this Wolfgang Puck Iron from a different source; Nevertheless, everyone should be aware of the poor quality.

We do not prepare waffles very often, but figured we should spend a little extra and get a good quality unit. Unfortunately, we ignored the many poor reviews all

over the internet regarding this product. We owned it for less than 10 months and used it maybe a dozen times before the electronics completely failed. It no longer turns on or heats up at all. We called the vendor, Frontgate, who did not want to support or help us. We then contacted the manufacturer who said "Sorry, we cannot help you." It is now a dead weight in the cabinet soon to go to the town dump.

We all get appliances that fail sometimes, but the support afterwards is key and Puck does not stand behind it. I guess at the $100+ dollars we spent on it and the 10-12 meals we got from it, we could have gotten a nice breakfast special at the local diner. Stay away from this unit.

Not sure why waffle manufactures don't make more irons with removable plates? It just makes sense. If you are like me and have owned several waffle makers without removable plates you know that clean up is a serious pain over time. This maker is one of few I could find that has the removable plates. enough said! Waffle manufactures listen up! Start making more irons with removable plates to make life easier on us waffle lovers!

This maker comes with separate plates for grilled sandwiches too!

This maker is small but makes deep Belgian waffles. Clean up is a breeze! Very happy I bought this maker!

I have been frustrated for years with appliances that have fixed plates. Wielding an appliance around while cleaning it is difficult and there are concerns about the electronics not being compatible with water. When I saw this product I thought I had to get it. You don't see waffle irons (or other press appliances) that have removable plates every day. Of course with Woflgang's name on it, I "knew" it had to be well-made so I grabbed my credit card and started ordering.

After working with the product I am less than satisfied with the materials chosen for its construction. There is a lot of plastic. I understand the use of plastic parts for reducing the overall weight and cost of a product. Unfortunately, the designers of this product used plastic parts where stress is applied during the loading of the waffle batter and the removal of the plates. You can actually see and feel the flex of the unit when the stress is applied. I haven't analyzed the plastics so I can't tell you if they are designed for that amount of stress, but intuitively I'm pretty sure this appliance wont be functioning after several years of use.

Made a good waffle but after three uses we could not get it to turn 180 degrees, not a very good product for the money, needs a better design.

Sunbeam RG12 Rocket Grill Electric Grilling Appliance

Sunbeam RG12 Rocket Grill Electric Grilling ApplianceI have owned this product for over 6 months. It is awesome. I have yet to have to clean anything. I cook a lot of hamburgers, chicken patties, breasts, fish etc. Everything has turned out great. The bags are a little expensive but the saving in time, paper towels, soap the expense is worth it. I do think this is more a single person's item because there isn't a lot of room in the bags for two chicken breasts etc. I hope when mine wears out they are still making them.

update: Stopped using the grill a long time ago. Main reason was that it flattened(squished) the food a little bit too much. Still buy the generic bags that are cheap on the sunbeam website and use the bags with a grill similar to the George foreman. If they stop making the bags, I will just use parchment paper for ease of cleanup. If I only cooked hamburgers, chicken patties and similar items this would still be a great product but for the room it takes up and the fact that I would need another type of grill for other items, it wouldn't be worth it.

I have had my Rocket Grill for almost a month. I am sure I will be using it a lot. Everything I have cooked has turned out great: chicken very tender and juicy; steaks, pork chops, pannini sandwiches, hamburgers. I quickly realized that sometimes frozen foods won't work some pork chops I had frozen were too big to get into the grill until they thawed! I am eating at home more often now that it only takes a few minutes to cook.

Revised 1/24/2009... Back to a 4 Star Rating! I found my receipt on Amazon for the purchase. Lo and Behold I had Six Weeks left on the One Year Warranty. I called Sunbeam and in a minute or two they promised to ship me a brand new unit. All I have to do is cut the cord and trow the old one out. Can't beat that deal.

Revised 1/13/2009.... Worked for about six months before it died. Since you use little pouches to cook the food and I have 25 of them left the grill worked exactly 25 times before it broke. Now it blows the GFI protected circuit after being plugged in for 15 minutes. I therefore dropped the four star rating I had on it to one star.

This grill makes great toasted sandwiches. I use sub-rolls, with the hard 'cracker-barrel' brand cheddar cheese and ham, bologna, roast-beef you name it. Set the timer to 4 minutes and forget it. The sandwich comes out pressed together and toasted with the neat grill marks. The cheese is melted and the meat nice and warm. Tuna Melt? Fan-tas-tic.

On the down side... big and bulky. It is tall so you can not store it on a normal kitchen cabinet shelf. I have to put it in the pantry.

It does not handle frozen food well at all. Special heat setting for using a frozen hamburger patty and they always come out over done. Steak doesn't have that grilled flavor we all love.

But for those of you out there with kids that need a sandwich for school this baby will cure the same-old, same-old blues the kids get come the third quarter marking period.

I've tried a good many grills, but none can compare to this one. You can take a frozen hamburg and cook it well done in 3 1/2 minutes. I've grilled chicken came out just wonderful. I've grilled frozen chicken kabobs, again only took a few minutes. I've made panini sandwiches, bread comes out nice a toasty and insides are warmed. I've even done a grilled cheese sandwich in it. Clean up is a breeze. Throw the bag away. And talk about the fat dripping away because it's like a toaster, all the fat drips into the bottom of the bag, aware from the food. Best grill I've ever had. You won't regret getting it.

Swissmar KF-77081 8-Person Stelvio Raclette Party Grill with Granite Stone

Swissmar KF-77081 8-Person Stelvio Raclette Party Grill with Granite StoneThis Raclette Grill has the granite stone top, and it is a lot easier to clean and more elegant for parties. Note: if you are vegetarian though not vegan, you can grill your cheese below and use Boca type veggie sausages, marinated tofu and vegetables on top for a very decent, meatless raclette. The stone lets you grill any of these items. After it cools, clean-up is quite simple. If you are serious about this, and want a party, the 8-person oblong set plus stone is a wonderful way to do this.

The cord is too short on this unit. You need a pretty decent extension cord if your table is not near a counter-height outlet, as the cord isn't so long. The extension cord should be able to handle the voltage requirements as this element draws a lot of power as it heats up. The shape is rectangular, so this doesn't work so well for round tables; there are raclettes that are shaped for round tables but they don't come with granite tops.

There are grills with teflon tops, but granite is more elegant, healthier (I think) and makes a beautiful party table along with the little divided dishes (raclette or fondue plates.) I discovered that it was inconvenient and cluttered to have so many custard cups of sauces (Bernaise, remoulade, etc) for the grilled items, so you may want to pick up a set of these if you get into raclette parties.

To serve raclette, get some good cheeses that melt well (fontina, butterkaese, raclette cheese if you can find it), some sausages, possibly shrimp and scallops, some cold meats (dried beef is a Swiss tradition but salami works well) and a selection of vegetables like sliced cherry tomatoes, sliced bell peppers, onions. Small whole boiled potatoes and cornichon gerkins are traditional. And you need a variety of sauces such as bearnaise, hollandaise, mustard sauce or any sauces you like with veggies and meats. Even ranch dressing works. Prepare a serving tray so each diner can select cheese, veg or meat and begin grilling. The cheese goes in the small tray under the element and the grill handles the fish, veg and meat.

One thing you might want to get along with a raclette grill is a set of fondue-type plates. This keeps the table freed up for your ingredient serving platter because the sauces and condiments go into each person's plate and you don't need a pile of little dishes for sauces. Raclette is traditionally cheese, potatoes and gherkins, but shrimp, scallops, sausages, and vegetables add a lot to the experience. Our friends typically use the raclette for birthday parties and informal gathering when fun and chatter keep everyone at the table.

This raclette grill is great. Cleanup of the granite is easy, just let it cool first. Another reviewer said to let it go overnight, but I've found leaving it for 2 hours is plenty of time for it to cool. The granite is not reversible and does have a ridge on the edge to catch any juices from the meat (or whatever you're making).

While I may not be a raclette expert, I got referred to this grill by a Swiss friend. We both love it.

Entertaining is fun with this grill. I would suggest that you have 1 grill for every 4 people, rather than the 8 that the specs suggest. It can be a long night if everyone only has 1 cheese tray.

This is the second raclette i've owned and this one far exceeded my expectations! The stone is solid with a small drain that goes completely around it to capture the juice from meats and is extremely easy to clean after it's cooled down. The dishes are teflon coated and the front is slightly angled to slide your food unto your plate. Excellent for entertaining family and friends with a variety for all to chose from; beef, chicken, shrimp, turkey and vegetables. More fun than a fondue!

George Foreman GRP99 Next Generation Grill with Nonstick Removable Plates

George Foreman GRP99 Next Generation Grill with Nonstick Removable PlatesSummary: a good grill with quirks that get in the way of it being great. It's a huge improvement for cleaning, and it has a nicely-sized 4-burger grill plate. It doesn't get quite as hot as the "old-style" models, and if you don't learn its quirks you can ruin perfectly good meals.

Overview

I had an "old style" Foreman grill, one of the smaller ones with permanently attached plates, for years. I loved it especially how you could get the grill scary hot and get some great crusts on grilled meats. But man, I hated cleaning it!

Eventually, it died, and I wanted something that answered my two biggest complaints: small size of the cooking service, and something that was easier to clean! This grill looked like the answer.

Bottom line: I *want* to love it, I really do! And it does answer my two biggest complaints, so I'm continuing to use it, but it has a couple of quirks that keep me from loving it. So close! But here's my experience.

HEATING: decent performance but can OVER-heat and ruin a meal

This grill has a "variable" temperature setting. I'm not sure how accurate it is, because I generally use it at the top temperatures to try to get the same performance as the "old" style grills, which got wicked hot.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Here is one of the MAJOR cautions: this grill can OVERHEAT!

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

When it gets "too hot" the brain seems to freeze, the grill shuts off, and the display blinks little dashes at you, and that's all it will do until the grill has cooled off for a 5-10 minutes. Unfortunately, this means it is impossible to grill for extended times at max temperature, and if it happens when you're in the middle of cooking, it can ruin a meal. I have talked to one other person with this same grill, and they had a similar experience. So, beware this MAY be a problem that they can/will fix, or it may be in the design and something you just have to live with.

I personally have found a workaround: I pre-heat to 400 degrees, one setting short of the "max" of 425. When it has pre-heated (5 minutes), just before I put on the food, I turn the grill up to 425. The result is that, within my normal cooking times, the grill comes on and stays on the whole time, but doesn't overheat. I don't get quite the satisfying crust I would like, but it's adequate. And if you DO lose the "brain" due to overheating, don't panic there's a lot of energy stored in those plates, so just leave the food on and let it cook a little longer than you planned, and you'll probably save your food (also, see my comments about the "coasting" cooking technique at the end of the review). But beware: if you pre-heat to the maximum setting, it may go brain-dead too soon for you to even finish cooking.

Some other observations: the heat isn't quite as uniform as the old sealed plate style, but it's not bad, and probably can't be much better, given the "removable" plate design. Once you learn the hot spots, there's always someone in the house that wants food either more well done or rarer anyway, so I've learned to put this to my advantage!

GRILL PLATES: Big and Removable and Cleanable (and a little finicky)!

YES, finally, the plates are removable! Yes, they are finicky! But, yes, you can learn to live with them. When I first got the grill, the top plate was especially hard for me to get attached properly. But if you look carefully, understand how the latches work, and learn the correct placement, this can become a non-issue. The only thing I do now is always double-check the plates after I attach them by tugging on them, but once they're connected properly, I've never once had one just "come off."

The size is a big improvement over other grills. They're wider than they are deep, so unlike some other Foreman models, opening the grill is pretty easy even with cabinets over the grill. The size and proportions makes putting 4 burgers on possible, and I've also cooked three good-sized steaks at the same time. You do need to know where your hot spots are, and depending on the food size/shape, you MAY want to open the grill halfway through and rotate the pieces, but this seems to affect browning more than the interior cooking, which has always seemed pretty even to me.

Cleaning them is a joy compared to the old "sealed" style plates. I can drop them both in a sink with hot soapy water and let them soak, and just brush them clean with a nylon brush. If you get to them quickly after cooking, probably all you need is some running water, soap and a sponge. It's a huge improvement for cleaning, and well worth the trade-off of somewhat uneven heating.

FOOD SIZE: beware the thickest steaks and the thinnest burgers

The "sliding hinge" on this grill seems to be a little limited. On thick steaks over 1", the grill doesn't seem to get quite "wide" enough to give even heat; on very thin items (somewhere around 1/4", the plates seem to far apart to heat properly. But for foods within than range of 1/4" to 1" (most burgers, chicken breasts, average steaks), it seems to work just as well as the old style grills.

OTHER: just a couple of things to mention

Time: it doesn't do anything except beep; it doesn't shut the grill off or anything. I use the default of "5 minutes" just to time my pre-heating.

Cooking Style: I have developed what I call the "coasting" style of cooking. It's a takeoff on "resting" that seems to work well. Basically, I cook a food at the hottest temperature I can get without the grill overheating (see above), and about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through I shut off the grill (but leave the food cooking). For instance, with a 5 or 6 oz burger patty, I pre-heat the grill to 400, then put the burgers on and set it to 425, and cook them for about 3-4 minutes; then I turn off the grill completely, but leave the patties on for another 3-4 minutes. The result is a nicely browned burger, still juicy in the middle, with no need for additional "resting." Same technique works with steaks and chicken, too! This helps me work around with one real quirk of the grill the "overheating" but also gives very nice results on the cooked foods, too.

Well, that's about all I can think of to mention on this grill. I am really not happy about the overheating problem, which is to me a pretty major design flaw, but the joy of grill plates that are removable and easy to clean keep me from going back to the "old" style. I've learned to live with and work around the problem, and for me that makes it worthwhile. But it also keeps me from wholeheartedly recommending this grill, which would otherwise be a 5-star winner in my book.

I have been through several previous Foreman grills, Hamiton Beach, DeLongi, etc.

This is the best indoor grill, bar none.

The timer is wonderful.

The heat control is very accurate.

I just made a grocery store standard porterhouse (.75 inch not a huge one) at 425 degrees and it came out with caremelized marks and perfect doneness. Follow the charts and subtract about half a minute at this temperature.

I am one happy camper...clean up is a breeze in the dishwasher.

Bravo to Salton.

I had an older model and used it from time to time, but always felt it never really got clean. This new version with the removable grilling plates was what I was waiting for. Both grill plates come off for easy cleaning in the sink. I washed mine in the dishwasher once too both ways works great.

Also having the temperature settings and timer makes it easy to cook your food fast. I've done steaks, chicken, fish and hamburgers and all have come out great!

This is the 3rd George Foreman grill I've used and I'm elated that they've finally come out with one that has removable plates so it's easier to clean! Most everyone I've talked to that has a George Foreman grill never used it much because it was a pain to clean but this one is a breeze...simply pop off both the top and bottom grill plates and toss them in the dishwasher.

One other thing about this grill is that is different than the older models are the settings. The previous grills are no brainers. Plug it in, it warms up, you toss the food in, that's it. This one however, requires a bit more work in that you have to set the temperature (which can be confusing), and let it preheat. It comes with a little guide that gives you suggestions on what temperature to set it at and cook time depending on what you're cooking. It's a bit more work, but in time, it'll become second nature. This is the only aspect about this grill that I'm not 100% thrilled about (I liked the no brainer ease of the newer models more) but food still turned out great! The surprising thing is it preheats VERY quickly, in under a minute for 350 degrees!

This one is well worth it even if you already have a George Foreman grill that still works, but an older model without the removable plates. The removable plates alone is worth the purchase!

IF YOU READ NOTHING ELSE-PLEASE READ ABOUT AN ISSUE I FEEL IS UNSAFE.

I rarely take time/have time to write reviews however, this item was an exception because of some very serious safety issues. I tried THREE (3) of the grills (because I thought I might have one bad grill) and after customer-NO-service at Salton acted like I was the first person to have this issue--I thought I was doing something wrong. After reading many reviews here and in other places I know this is a real issue for anyone who really puts a load on the grill for it to cook. It seems safe if you cook a hot dog or a little thin steak or chop but when you give it a real job, WATCH OUT! Again, when I read the postitive reviews I thought it was just me. Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, and a couple of Chops are not such a load. 1" cold steaks and Thick Boneless Chops are another story. So I guess you could say as long as you drive 60 you are fine but if you go 75 the wheels might come off and cause you to crash and burn----Please read on about my personal experence which might be unique, except, this happened to three (3) grills with the same unsafe results. While some might say it is my fault I overloaded it. The instructions were followed to the letter and the same dangerous results each time-yet-when Amazon so kindly replaced it with a CUISINART #GR-4, GRIDDLER it not only handled the load without a hitch, it did it in less time, beautiful even cooking and searing with no gray meat (like the Foreman and 6-7 min to cook a 1" steak not the 25 minutes on the Foreman (provided it doesn't overheat and burn out in the middle leaving you to cook it on the stove) with in my opinion awful results.

My hope is this will help you make an informed decision of where to spend your hard earned money and save you much wasted time and stress and address what I consider to be some real safety issues and if you read the other reviews you will see I am NOT the only one.

The Pros:

1) The grill LOOKS nice.

2) It has a fair price for a countertop grill.

The Cons:

1) The quality is very poor. Feel the construction. Look at the quality of the parts and metal that is used. Feel how loose and flimsy it is when put side by side with others? The handles that are used as latches to remove the cooking surface (the grill plates) from the heating element are thin, cheap, and tend to fall apart after just a few washings in the dishwasher. (Note: why say it's dishwasher safe in big letters then say it is not recomended later after you own it) After the dishwasher the handles which hold the grill plates on the grill begin to "get crusty" and the springs after just a few washes become weaker to the feel. You might ask what would happen after a few months. I never got to find outread on-As the springs get weaker it becomes a greater task to get them to stay in place. If you fail to line it up just perfect the hot grills will "fall off" while you are cooking. You must be real careful to check that they are locked in a very specific position, or else...

2) The claim it is a floating 1" grill is a joke. If you grill two 1/4" steaks (yeah right) it might be fine. When you grill a "real" steak or chops the back (rear) cooks great while the front just gets touched and receives none of the searing most of us love. You then (to make it cook even) have to flip, move and check. (Not like the pretty ads)

3) After you preheat the grill it will not sear the meat (even if you max it out at 425-F) it has a great sizzle for ten or so seconds then it just goes so slow (this is on thick cuts of meat) and it just does not have an effecient means of heat transfer to keep the grill up to temp and when it attempts to BRING IT UP TO TEMP...... READ # 4 !!!!

4) When it attempts to bring it up to temp PLEASE READ CAREFULLY--the element stays on to bring it back to temp and because (my guess I am not a product designer) of a poor heat shield or lack of one, the top of the grill (the surface that is exposed) begin to buckle, melt, smoke, and in my case got so hot it burned the lettering off the top of the grill. After I cooled the top of the grill had a new shape! NOT VERY SAFE! I was told (by Salton no-customer-service) that it couldn't happen like that, the meat was too thick, the meat was too cold!! WHERE IN THE OWNERS GUIDE DOES IT SAY THAT? In fact, it mentions frozen hamburger patties and fish and brags about the speed of cooking from both sides. This happened not once but twice! (TWO GRILLS) I read on here where others said the grill stopped working or one reviewer said it popped. That was a safety final fuse. A fuse that can not be replaced by a consumer-it prevents the grill from overloading-overheating, perhaps close to fire? I do not know if there just happened to be three grills on the line that both happened to have the same defect, I doubt it. Looking at others reviews and the positive reviews might change if they were given a large amount of meat to cook. (Yeah, if you grill a few hot dogs or 21/8" hamburgers the grill will be fine UNTIL you load it up-try it then tell me I am wrong....

When you ask for service after the sale-forget it! EXCEPTION>>> AMAZON is the best! They will bend over backwards to help and in my opinion one of the best companies I have ever done business with. My issue is with a company where you share you safety issue concerns with and they can not even call you back or give a reply. Other then sharing here and informing the Consumer Product Safety Commison and UL I did my part.

As was mentioned, Amazon replaced the Foreman (for very little extra with the $25.00 kickback) with the CUISINART GR-4 Griddler. In my opinion and I am not a chef or expert. I found it to be the best product at this price point on the market. It starts with a rare 3 year warranty. Not many companies stand behind a product with coverage like that! High quality stainless steel, high quality latches, 1500w heating elements that can sear and cook salmon fillets in 3 minutes and a 1" fillet in less then 8, GREAT TEMP CONTROLS THAT WORK, a nice package that really shows sometimes you really do get what you pay for.

My hope is that anyone who read about my experences will at least, even if you disagree, will at least take the time to check it out. If the surface on the top of your grill had a bump or is anything but smooth on the top, dark colors on top, lettering burned off, a pop, pop, pop sound, THIS IS NOT NORMAL. Is it not worth you time to just make sure? Not a matter of which opinion is right or wrong, even if you disagree at least be safe and check it out.

This great review section provided by Amazon is a great place to share about your opinions. If you have concerns Amazon has been good enough to provide links to the Consumer Product Safety Commision as well as a great internal department at Amazon to voice your concerns. Thanks for reading!

OxiClean Miracle Foam, GRIME & STAIN DISSOLVER! POWERFUL, DEEP CLEANING FORMULA! MAGIC CLEAN!

OxiClean Miracle Foam, GRIME & STAIN DISSOLVER! POWERFUL, DEEP CLEANING FORMULA! MAGIC CLEAN!I have no idea what the difference is between this and a normal tub of Oxi-Clean. The first thing that I have to say, though, is that this stuff doesn't foam. It's just a powder that works exactly like the original formula. Now don't get me wrong. The original Oxi-Clean is pretty amazing. I use it to clean all kinds of things from my shower to my floors, but I think I have to knock a star off of this because it doesn't do what it claims to do.

Not impressed don't waste your money. I saw no difference between this and the original Oxi. I love to clean and was totally let down.

Music City Metals 56S23 Stainless Steel Tubes Cooking Grid Set Replacement for Select Gas Grill Mod

Music City Metals 56S23 Stainless Steel Tubes Cooking Grid Set Replacement for Select Gas Grill Models by Kenmore, Kmart and OthersPoor quality control. Who ever welded these pieces together needs to get a square to make sure that the finished product is straight and perpendicular. My grates tubes were not welded at the same point/length in the corners, so the finished product was not a rectangle but slightly askew. This is very noticeable when the 3 pieces are put down in the grill next to each other. Although functional, it would not have taken much effort to build these correctly. Where's the quality control?

They are GREAT grates! I bought a used bbq and the grate's were TOTALLY rusted and there was no way I was going to cook on rust! I like that they are stainless steal, makes cleaning easy and they heat up nicely.

I went onto Searsparts.com to order replacement parts for my bbq that I purchased off Craigslist, however they took weeks to 'process' my order and after 4 weeks I had enough with waiting! I cancelled that order, paid a little more on Amazon, but got them in 3 day's!!

I WILL NEVER USE SEARSPARTS.COM AGAIN, AMAZON ONLY!!

The only reason I gave the grates a 4 is because I am not used to the steel. Previous grates were cast iron and took longer to heat up thus I have overcooked some meals. I do enjoy the cleanup with the steel and not having to deal with the rust. Very satisfied.

Weber Style 32902 Professional-Grade Vegetable Basket

Weber Style 32902 Professional-Grade Vegetable BasketGreat pan for the price. Heavy duty and a good size. (My estimate is about 10 inches x 10 inches). It would be beneficial to include the actual dimensions in the listing since it was a concern of mine when I purchased it. After several Internet searches I never did find a size listing. I grilled veggies in this pan at Thanksgiving and was very happy with the result and clean up. Highly recommend this item.

We love to grill vegetables. Had an old non-stick type pan, but it got rusted thru and was unsafe to use. I finally settled on this basket. Frankly it is the best twenty bucks I spent.

The stainless steel will discolor if heated too much, but cleaning is not too bad. The first time I used it without oiling it, cleaning needed quite a bit of scrubbing. I ended up using oven cleaner (Easy Off) and it worked pretty well got all the crud off. I now oil the basket before putting it on the grill and clean up is not bad. The advantage of stainless steel is that with a bit of care it will give good service and there is nothing to flake off into your food.

I also bought the grill pan and use both interchangeably. The lips all around are great, I just use a spatula to lift the veggies to a serving dish.

LOVE: Quality of construction; Cost; Raised lips all around; Material

HATE: Cleanup is tough, but it is no tougher than with so called non-stick pans had one.

Would I recommend it definitely; I plan to replace mine with a similar one when this one goes (or I get tired of it)

We just love this vegie basket! I had been using a cheap basket I picked up years ago and was tired of everything rolling off of it when grilling. We love asparagus and this basket works great, although it has been wonderful for all types of greens. We even covered it with aluminum foil and used it to stir fry rice with vegetables. We use marinades with our vegetables, which makes the basket a little difficult to clean, but I would recommend this product to anyone!

Good idea, maybe I have not learned how to use it well but I find that this gets stained easily and is hard to get clean. It does keep the veggies and fish from slipping through the grill but I can get the same effect from pan cooking or using foil instead. I don't think I would purchase this again. Overall I have loved all my weber products, this is my least favorite.

I have the stainless steel basket and a family member has the older non-stainless steel type, the stainless steel version cleans up considerably easier. I have found it cleans up without soaking it over night if you use Bar Keepers' Friend® on a heavy duty sponge. I also feel that using higher-smoke point oils like peanut oil, extra-light olive oil, refined safflower, or refined avocado helps in reducing sticking, mess and clean-up effort.

Meco Stand Up 4100 Square Utility Charcoal Grill, Red

Meco Stand Up 4100 Square Utility Charcoal Grill, RedThis is the one for anything except rotisserre.

It has a series of adjustable vents accros the front and the back, and a circular adjustable vent on top. This allows for very precise air-flow contol.

The grill adjusts to 3 levels, four if you're inventive. After a couple of uses it's virtually air-tight with all vents closed, so you can cool down an aggressive fire in a heartbeat.

I give it 4 stars reserving the 5th for it's Meco cousins which are of the same funtional design, but more pricey due to retractable wooden tables on one or both sides and a wooden shelf down below. But they are all superb as grilling machines.

Enjoy!

WE LOVE OUR MECO..WE ALWAYS HAVE..THIS IS OUR THIRD ONE IN TWENTY YEARS...WE LOVE BEING ABLE TO ANGLE THE GRILL FOR COOKING MEATS AT DIFFERENT TEMPS AT THE SAME TIME IT IS OUR OLD FAITHFUL FRIEND

The meco grill is the best charcoal grill you can buy.The vents on front, back and top make cooking and reaching temperatures you want so much easier than other grills. There is ample room for cooking, without needing a giant space to store this grill. Also the quality of the grill from the metal used on the body to the legs and wheels beats the competition all around. Believe me i went to stores trying to replace this grill and what was out there was a cheap as a beer can for this price range. They would have not lasted over 1 to 2 years stored outside in missouri. So went online looking for my old standby meco.Had a meco grill the same model for 22 years before i purchased this new one.Was worried like everything else you buy now days, the quality would be so much cheaper than they use to make them, but was so pleasently surprised it is the same great grill as before. Can not reccomend enough.Have already grilled a couple of times on my new grill and loving it.

I had the old Red Char Broil and the bottom rusted out so this was perfect. I didn't expect much after reading several reviews but this grill is awesome!!! I love that I can lower and raise the rack! Nothing I've ever seen before so a pleasant surprise!!!

I purchased my first Meco Grill (22 years ago)from the base exchange in Germany while stationed there with the Air Force. I purchased my current one about 10 years ago but only used it once or twice a year prefering to use my gas grill, but things have changed. I used it about two months ago to cook chicken using my father-in-laws secret recipe and my 14 year old son asked what I did to the chicken because it was really good. Since then I have been on a charcoal BBQ cooking binge. I have done roasts, steaks, chicken, and vegetables on the grill. The grill really cuts out the flare ups I experience on a gas grill and holds the heat in very well. I have used smoke chips and the grill keeps the smoke in and really gives the food that wonderful smokey flavor. I don't think I will go back to gas unless I am in a hurry. My wife says it has only taken me 19 years of marriage for me to finally use the charcoal grill and the Meco is the best. I really like the adjustable grate and the bottom grate for the charcoal.
