Waring Commercial WPG150 Compact Italian-Style Panini Grill, 120-volt

This panini maker is awesome. Weighs a ton but that is because you get two solid cast iron grills top and bottom. This is heavy duty stuff. However, it does not take up more space than a regular grill because it is taller, not necessarily wider. After reading the reviews about snap on grills of others and losing heat top/bottom, there was no way I was going to chince on a non-commercial grill. This is the only way to go.

Lodge Color ECSGP53 Enameled Cast Iron Square Grill Pan, Emerald Green, 10-inch

I bought this and the Emerald Green Panini Press together. They make a great team together. The grill pan is great! it heats evenly and slowly. I use either EVOO or refined peanut oil on this pan to give it its non-stick properties. I use the Misto can to spray a light coat on it and when its at the desired temperature I start cooking. I havent had a problem with things sticking and burning to any of the Lodge Enamel products. Any sticking that has happened has been quite minor. Keep in mind no enamel product is going to be as non-stick as teflon. Period. But with the right cooking practices, they can be as non stick as you need it to be. The Lodge Silicone handles work perfectly fine with all the Lodge Enameled and Le Creuset products (including this one).

Lodge Color vs Lodge L-series: I talked directly to their customer service to get the low down on this subject. Both sets are enameled the same way by the same vendor with the same amount of enameled layers. They obtain the same quality control. Other than the obvious shape and color differences the only thing that separates the 2 sets are the stainless steel handles and embellishments on the L-series. I was also told by customer service that they are phasing out the L-series and are going to continue to move forward with the Color series.

Just an FYI the Emerald Green is a little darker than the Le Creuset Fennel Color if you are looking to match the two sets. You might notice more of a difference in color between the Lodge's dutch oven and Le Creuset's French oven (same thing) but overall they are quite close in color. But between the skillets you wont notice hardly any difference unless you examined them right next to each other. They actually match quite well. I own Le Creuset pieces in Fennel and Lodge Color pieces in Emerarld Green. I have not seen either out perform the other.

This pan is awesome, I'm not sure why people think it's difficult to clean, it's not. If you have had any experience cooking with cast iron this is your pan, if you are a lover of non stick, it might not be. I've cooked burgers and chops and they come out beautifully!

Nordic Ware Toaster Oven 3-Piece Baking Set

Purchased this set and on the first use the non-stick finish, started peeling off. Not worth buying.

I've used the baking sheet of this set maybe 10 times in my toaster over and the teflon is already flaking off. I was very suprised, since I've been careful cleaning it so as not to scratch the teflon, but the teflon is peeling off anyway. So, don't waste your money on this product.

Very poor teflon quality-flaked from the first time I used them. The weight of the pan and design are nice though; too bad they didn't put a few more cents worth into the teflon coating!

"Non-stick" coating started coming off with first use. Rack is especially bad. Pans are rather lightweight and flimsy. Size is perfect, though. Wish I could find some good ones somewhere.

Weber 6491 Original Folding Pocket Thermometer

Pretty nice little unit that does what it says on the box.

As with any Weber product, you're paying a premium for the badge. That said, it works as expected and is backed with the usual Weber assurance of quality. The unit does feel a little plasticky (?) but seems sturdy enough.

It has the pleasant surprise of an integrated backlight (15 seconds before it shuts off) and you can 'pause' the reading (for example if you want to write it down) from changing/turning off for 30 seconds.

The major downside is that you're recommended to wait 15 seconds for the probe to stabilise on temperature. Not exactly an 'instant read' thermometer, but hopefully it has the accuracy to justify it.

Despite another reviewer's claims on the US Amazon site, this DOES come with a battery. It's tucked into a baggie with the instruction manual. That said, if you don't have a coin to open the back of the unit, you're screwed! :-)

All in all, a product worth considering if you too are looking for a digital thermometer you can put in your pocket without stabbing yourself in the leg...

Stopped working after two weeks...do not purchase. Temperature reading did not work. Batteries not included...amazon ad did not tell you this

This was a Christmas gift for my husband and he absolutely loves it. He has been grilling hot dogs , brats and kielbasi more often than usual. He usually only likes hot dogs cooked outsoors on the grill or open fire but that is hard to do in Ohio during the winter months. This machine has helped to ease some of his cabin fever. The griller is easy to use and esier to clean. Well made machine at a reasonable price.

Excellent for cooking Brauts, but it take a little longer time to cook (about 1 hour). We will also use it in our camper when we go on our vacation this summer. I shopped around by looking at different models, and this unit turned out the best. I would highly recommend it.

These are really heavy duty, stylish, and functional. I used some mineral oil on the wood and hand wash. I'm hoping these last a very long time.

Bonus for good design no rubber or melt-able parts. Silicone can take high heat. Also, retractable hanging hooks that stay out of your way when not in use. The box/tube they were packaged in looks really futuristic as well. Haven't tried the meat hook yet...

Deion Sanders' Hot Dog Express is an obvious attempt to exploit the wild success of George Foreman's grills, however Deion was not savvy enough to work with a high-quality manufacturer like Salton to manufacture his product. The Hot Dog Express is an OK quality product, but handling it gives hints that it will not last as long as a George Foreman grill does.

That being said, it did cook some very tasty hot dogs. It has the rollers like a professional hot dog stand, and takes about 14 minutes to cook eight hot dogs. I used Oscar Meyer beef dogs and they tasted better than any boiled hot dog ever could. The buns warmed on the cover as the dogs cooked.

The only obvious quality problem was the timer dial. It is marked for the length of time you want the cooker to run. I set mine for 14 min, but found that it stopped at the three minute mark and had no alarm bell to indicate the completion of cooking. To compensate, I have to set mine to 17 min, and keep my eye on the clock. This may be a manufacturing problem only with my unit, but is only mildly irritating. I tend to keep an eye on cookers when they are running anyway, for safety reasons.

The unit cleans up easily, as they state. The rollers and the "oil collection tray" both come out of the cooker for easy cleaning in the sink.

Overall, I do recommend this product because it cooks a very good hot dog. It will serve some heavy duty time on my patio this summer.

(1) The drip tray at the back of the unit where the condensation is supposed too drip to when/while cooking and after you open the lid was broken. I emailed "As-seen-on-TV" and they responded by saying they had contacted the manufacturer and were going to wait to see what they (i.e., the manufacturer) can do/will advise. Why they cannot just send me a new/replacement drip tray is beyond me;

(2) The square turning stem that comes off the roller wheels and joins into the unit as the cooking time goes on, it seems this stem "unscrews" itself from the units motor turning assembly resulting in the roller wheel assembly no longer "turning" the dogs. Synopsis: I found that I had to occasionally "push the roller assembly back into the units motor stem connector with the plastic tongs. And by the by, the plastic tongs melted somewhat where I used them to push the roller assembly into the connector; couldn't use a metal utensil as the instructions say not to use metal to touch the rollers as may give off an electric shock.

I ordered the as seen on tv hot dog express , from a company called welistit.com , so I wanted people to be aware of this product , I received it with the drip tray in the back broken in 4 pieces , & I feel the company knew this when they packaged it , since the little plastic bag it came in was taped as if they didn't want any of the parts to fall out , because the way they had it packaged , there was no way it could have broken in Shipping , when I notified them of my problem , they said they had no record of ever shipping this item to my address , & I would have to get the Tracking # from UPS for them to be able to do anything for me , I wonder , when I send the # what their excuse will be then , only to delay me from getting the part once again , well I learned my lesson the hard way , I won't order from this Company again or purchase this item EVER again !!!!!!!!!

Its not really as great as i thought it was going to be. It holds 4 hot dogs at a time and you set the timer for 15 minutes. During the 15 minutes it makes a weird burning smell like somethings not right (but it says in the manual, that this burning smell is normal.) Also by the end of the 15 minutes, the hot dogs aren't all that hot so i wouldn't try and cook vegetables or anything else on it like it says you can do. Really it takes up more space than its worth because its just not that great.
