Bowl scrapers or spatulas have really improved recently. I hated the old rubber ones from my early cooking days--over time, they crack, discolor and get really unwholesome-looking. I don't think wooden handles are particularly sanitary, either. (Pores can hold bacteria and dirt. Then the plastic, non-silicone spatulas were a real "fail." Melt in hot stuff. Handles like soda straws. The new silicone spatulas have a huge advantage as they can take higher temperatures and they are resistant to breakage. Better handles (those thin plastic ones just snap when I use them. Nothing more depressing than scraping out a bowl of cake batter and seeing the stump of the scraper mired in batter, you holding the broken handle and wondering "What now?")

This spatula is plain but really well designed. It has a spoon-ish shape on the bottom, it is flexible (have to get used to that if you are normally using a stiffer scraper) and it has a wide handle grip at the top for people with larger hands (like me) or who find skinny handles hard to hold. And it is white and black, so the bother of deciding if acid green, bright orange, or cherry red is no issue. In fact, I don't want to see an acid green spatula dipping into my marinara--it puts me off my game.

This is just the thing, so if you are looking for a workhorse spatula, this might just be the one. I like it.

Good size and quality tool. The silicone head is a bit softer and more "bendy" than my other silicone scrapers, but just what I was looking for. It's already my go-to tool for scraping bowls in the kitchen. I especially like the clear (or at least non-colored) silicone, because it's easier to see changes in sauce colors.

These things work great! I use them to cook omelets and so far there are NO problems with them. They seem to handle the heat well.

I thought the end was a bit flimsy, I would rather have seen a little bit more of a stiffer end.

I bought this to replace a Wilton spoon/spatula that I used all the time but recently broke at the handle neck. It came as a set and I did not want more of the other less useful (for my purposes) spatulas so I opted for this one. It is longer than the one I had and the spoon/spatula part is not as big or smooth as the Wilton but is still very functional.
