My family just loves this little machine. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because it doesn't hold a lot of hot dogs at once. But it cooks delicious hot dogs in a few minutes and they taste like the ones at the hot dog stand. We have not used the bun warmer function but this is one terrific little hot dog cooker. Another Plus is that hubby and kids like to stand and watch the hot dogs twirl around. But on the practical side, it's zip to clean, heats up and cooks quickly and doesn't take up a lot of space. A good buy.

This product is priced way to high! I bought mine a few years back for $39.99. You can still get them that low in other placed. The machine itself is great, the price NOT!

Alpha Electric Igniter Portable Propane Gas Stove Range Camping

I read some of the reviews about this burner and I was somewhat nervous about purchasing. I hunted for something similar, but all searches lead me back to this model. The burner is well made, quite heavy metal, and worked fabulously. The starter kicked in the flame each time, although I did have a long lighter handy in case. I used this burner to prepare paella on my new 15" paella pan. I loved it. Heavy duty, worked well for me, was easy to light and control the flame... I am glad I took a chance on this one!

I purchased this burner to melt lead in a large cast iron pot. I was frustrated with the smaller burner I had as it would take over 2 hours to melt 30lbs of lead. This burner is very stable and had a 30 pound pot of lead melted to 600 degrees in just 40 minutes, and with the flame control, I could easily set the heat down to keep the temperature constant. Wish I had bought this a year ago. It attached easily to a standard propane tank for the grill. Electric start does not always fire it up on the first try, but I have never known an electric start to work 100% anyway.

Great burner low is low for keeping warm and high is high enough for wok cooking. It is hard to find a burner that can do both. This is the one. The hose is maybe 4 feet which is a good length. Fitting on the regulator is correct for a USA propane tank.

However it has a few quirks:

* It is for a table so the table needs to be metal or a heatproof material. It gets hot underneath.

* The other item to watch out for is the flared fitting connection. This unit came with a rubber gasket. Check with your plumber or gas technician to see if a gasket is EVER needed on a brass flare fitting. I have many propane stoves with the same flared fitting and NONE of them have a gasket. I did try using the gasket and seals well and does not leak but the fitting sure feels funny and not rock solid like my other stove fittings.

Nice solid product, not to happy with the hose and regulator, it just has regular hose clamps on it and the tank connection don't fit on the new 25lb tanks.

It needs the little (tit or male pin )to push the gas valve in when you tighten it so if you buy the stove you have to buy a new hose and regulator.

I purchased the Big Bertha stove to fire up a large (7 quart jar capacity) pressure cooker for canning. Upon arrival, the stove was banged around during shipping and did not sit level upon a flat surface. I was able to file down the offending leg slightly and now it sits rock solid level. In operation, this stove gets hellishly hot, it can boil a full pot of water in minutes. The 6 ft gas hose is rather sticky and smells of plastic resins and chemicals. This stove works well, has a full range of adjustment and puts out sufficent heat for pressure canning purposes. You can set a large pot on this unit with the controls being accessable.

The removable plates was a major reason for selecting this waffle iron. I'm very happy with how easy it is to wash the waffle plates since they can be soaked in water or put in the dishwasher.

(With our previous waffle iron, I spent a lot of time trying to get it clean, which I was never able to do satisfactorily with a paper towel or sponge. It would get sticky from the oil and extra things like bananas that we added to the waffles...and it seemed gross to wipe it off and put it away in the cupboard like that).

The quality of the waffles seems very good. My kids like it when we make extras and then they can heat them up in the toaster for a quick hot breakfast on a school day. Waffles with mini chocolate chips are their favorites.

This waffle iron does not have a light or timer that will tell you when the waffles are done. But that is not a problem for me -as soon as I pour the batter in, I set my stove timer for three minutes and that is just the right time for my waffles to cook. The waffle maker heats up again for the next batch very quickly. I had debated about whether we really needed a waffle iron, since we could always make pancakes. However, making waffles is much easier than babysitting pancakes that have to be watched for bubbles and flipped. Those three minute intervals can actually be used to do other kitchen tasks -without worrying about burning the breakfast.

I've only made sandwiches a couple of times...and my family seemed pleased with the sandwiches, both their nice appearance and that they were cooked very well (much better than if they had been fried in a pan). We are looking forward to trying a variety of new hot sandwich recipes.

This is truly an "easy clean" appliance. We have tried both the waffle maker plates and the "snak" or sandwich maker plates. The plates attach and remove easily and clean up in the dishwasher. The waffles come out of the plates without effort, and it is very easy to use. I would recommend this to everyone.

I purchased this one to replace a cheaper one we bought years ago. The other one still works, but we have not used it in several years because we can't sufficiently clean it. This one makes pocket sandwiches and waffles, but I bought specifically for the sandwiches. The plates easily remove for cleaning. Only attempt to remove them after they have completely cooled. Although this unit was about twice the cost of the cheaper one that can be found on Amazon or locally in stores like Wal-mart or Target, I completely recommend this one because it can be perfectly cleaned while the cheaper one cannot. My old one still has cheese baked onto the unit from several years ago. Trust me when I say, aged cheese is not always the best... LOL

This is a great sandwich toaster, the best thing is the plates are removable, that makes them easy to clean. They are oversized to fit regular bread with lots of stuffings. Makes great stuffed sandwiches. Put some butter on top and bottom to make them crispy. I havent used the waffle maker yet, but I am sure it works well. I was surprised there werent many sandwich makers in the market as small griddlers/grills, just a handful.. so choosing this was easy. Enjoy.. cheers.

Bayou Classics Cast Iron Jumbo 20 in. Skillet

I was SO looking forward to receiving this pan, as I read a review that touted it as absolutely the best pizza pan ever. Well, I should have paid more attention to the previous review...Titanic is an understatement! This pan is so big, that it doesn't fit inside my wall oven. So if your plan is to use it in your oven, measure it first! The oven needs to be a minimum of 22" wide. From rim to rim the pan measures 21", from outer edge of handle to handle, it measures 22-1/2". Looks like the Boy Scouts will be getting a donation from us!! I'm giving it 4 stars because it is a beautiful pan!

The first skillet I received was badly warped, but Amazon sent a replacement right away.

These cast iron skillets are not "seasoned" which is what I was looking for. They are rough when new and require a fair amount of work before curing: Removing the protective wax coating, sanding the inside (is a must), coating with vegetable oil and then curing at 500f in an oven for an hour. Read on the web "Cast Iron Jack McGrew's" method for curing cast iron. If done correctly they are excellent and the final product is better than the pre-seasoned skillets.

At 20 inches and 33lbs these skillets are huge but we always fill it up; eight to ten slices of french toast or two pounds+ of bacon or three to five pounds of potatoes.

For even heat control, use over a sturdy gas burner (Bayou Classic's Banjo cooker) or a fire grate with low coals.

The first time we used it the pan developed a huge crack. It is now unuseable. We did follow the directions to "season" the pan by pre-heating and putting oil on it.

Skillet was just as advertised and good quality. The packing left a lot to be desired and one broke in transit, which Amazon replaced. Hopefully the vendor will get the message that a simple cardboard box is inadequate for an item of this size and weight, even if it is made from cast iron.

Only negative is that the center of the skillet is higher than outside edges, however this allows the grease to run to the outside edge of the skillet. I used this skillet on an antique Kalimazoo Cook Stove, it worked great, had no problems cooking 2 pound bacon then 2 dozen eggs. The design on the bottom is great since I display it hanging on a wall. If you are going to use it on a regular stove, you may need to make a frame work to hold it above the countertop to keep it from scorching it.

We were introduced to this way to share eating by friends in Denmark. We loved the experience and convenience so much that as soon as we got back to the States we researched and found it on Amazon, the very same one. My wife and I use it at least 3 or four times a month by ourselves and every time we have guests over we break it out. It is a similar experience to the fondu pot cooking. We have taken it on trips in the car and even packed it and took it to Cabo San Lucas this past January. Our favorite items for the grill top are shrimp and beef loin steak strips. We have cooked salmon, chicken strips, and pork loin strips and all come out great. The pans are good for any vegetable and we cover them with shredded cheeses. We love spinach on the grill top and in the pans. We also baked a brownie mix in them so we could have dessert.

A great plus is the ease of clean up. Once the grill has cooled you can use hot tap water and a plastic scrub brush and get it cleaned up fast. I have also placed it in the dishwasher and it comes out clean easily. The pans clean up easily too as long as you don't bake something in them too long. If you do, scrub them with a Teflon scrub pad, not a pot n pan scrub pad, the nonstick coating is rather thin.

The several drawbacks or cautions to know are: 1) the coating on cast iron grill top is very thin and the slightest cutting or scratching with a metal or sharp instrument could scrape the coating off, never cut on the grill; 2) if you use an extension cord with the grill be sure it is a high wattage appliance wire and that the plugs are tight ... the plugs will get very hot and the plug into the wall could melt if it is not high wattage ... best to not use an extension, 3) while there are 8 heating pans and 8 places to put the heating pans, it is tough to seat 8 people around the grill and all still have arm's reach access to the grill top ... six is comfortable and 4 makes a very cozy comfortable experience.

So far four of our friends have gone out and bought this item after their experience of eating with us.

Nostalgia Electrics HDR-565 Old-Fashioned Hot-Dog Roller

Hot dog cooker works as the manual says it does; the only other review on this item says it is malfunctioning junk and not worth the money. I couldn't disagree more. This is my third cooker in four years (I use them a bunch!) and I still love it like the day I first got it.

Takes about twenty minuets to heat up eight hot-dogs, but they are perfect when they finish! If you use "bun length" dogs or decide like me to buy bratwursts and sausages, you will only be able to fit four at a time on the rollers. I usually cook hot-dogs and bratwursts together, so I can fit four hot dogs and four of the larger items.

It's rough to clean the rollers without submerging the roller mechanism in water, however I never had a problem with the cooker because it was "too dirty to function".

The only other downside is that the gears in the roller mechanism is made of what my father calls "cheap pot metal", which tends to grow over time with enough humidity and water. From living in Florida and having washed my grill several times, the gears can eventually locked up on one of my three models.

Other than that, it is a fantastic machine.

(Also, the place to "heat" the buns is the only thing "bunk" about this product. Nice place to store them though!)

takes a while to cook, but the hotdogs does come out tasting great! only bad thing to say about the product is that the greese and fat from the hotdog itself will drip down in between the cracks of the rollers and in my case will lock up the gear inside.

plug it in, get power, turn it on high, rollers start rolling. put dogs on rollers, (oh, be sure to use the short dogs, otherwise you will only fit 4, not 8)....And then,...WHERES THE HEAT.... 15 minutes? BUNK. Had them on for over an hour, and NOTHING.....Went through the manual, everything was done correctly. WASTE OF MONEY. Thought this would be cute for camping. It's going back!!

Charcoal Companion Non-stick Kabob Grilling Rack, with Six 13-Inch Skewers

These were versatile and are nonstick. The major problem I found with them is that you cannot turn the skewers 45 degrees to evenly cook them. There are grooves in the rack and they automatically turn back to the original position. SO to correct the problem you have to turn the meat which then chicken will become too loose and fall off. I don't know if I would purchase them again. You can use them without the racks but that kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it?

Just used this rack for the first time. It did a great job of evenly cooking the meat and veggies. Allows you to turn the skewers during cooking. Only issue is it's $9.00 on Totsy and other sites, so Amazon needs to match this price!

The "steam cleaning power" means that the brush squirts a weak stream of water onto your grill. If your grill is hot, it will steam. A squirt bottle is a better, cheaper solution here. The power brushes rotate slowly and bog down easily. This product isn't worth the cost of the 8(!) batteries it requires, let alone the purchase price. Save money and time by buying any manual brush instead.

This was a Christmas gift for my father. The motor worked but the water did not spray. He had to return it and pay postage and Amazon would not just simply replace it. Seems like you should be able to return a defective product and not pay postage and be able to get a replacement.

These are really heavy duty, stylish, and functional. I used some mineral oil on the wood and hand wash. I'm hoping these last a very long time.

Bonus for good design no rubber or melt-able parts. Silicone can take high heat. Also, retractable hanging hooks that stay out of your way when not in use. The box/tube they were packaged in looks really futuristic as well. Haven't tried the meat hook yet...

Oven Shelf Guard 14.17 Inch Two Pack Silicon Oven Rack Burn Preventing Front Trim

I recently purchased this item and it was wonderful! I actually only used one of them because I can't imagine I'd ever reach under the bottom rack for anything because there is nothing down there to touch. NEVER EVER EVER leave the guard in the oven during the cleaning cycle though. I totally forgot it was there and I did leave it in. It made the biggest mess I have ever seen! My entire oven was white and it looked like someone blew in cotton candy! It wasn't too horrible to clean up, but nothing I'd want to do again. It took a vacuum cleaner and lots of sprayed in water and a lot of scrubbing.

These are worth their weight in gold. I himmed and hawed about buying these for months, just never really got around to it, then I burned my arm on the shelf while baking cookies and ran to the computer to order. They are AWESOME! Love them!

I bought these to replace the snap on covers I have had for years that had gotten dirty. They smelled when heated as other reviews said. When they get hot, they twist on the racks leaving hot metal exposed to burn you. At less than the five-hundred degrees, the tips melt/break off. I bought a set to give a friend for Christmas, but am too embarrassed to give them now. This design apparently has not been tried or they would realize how inferior they are to their claims.

I have sincenordered from Amazon the old style that is beige and snaps onno chance of accidentally getting burned and can use them to pull raks out and in.

I attached these to my oven racks and turned the oven on. Before the oven was completely heated, a very strong chemical odor came from the oven. It was extremely noxious. Several minutes after I removed the guards from the oven, the odor dissipated. I emailed a comment to Planit Products and was supposed to receive a reply witin 48 hours. That was 2 weeks ago and I have heard nothing. I would discourage not only the Oven Shelf Guard but also doing business with this company.

Mr Bar B Q 02079SSX Platinum Prestige Grill Brush

As the previous review indicates, this item bends too easily at the connection between the handle and the head. Each time I would bend it back, it would be a little weaker. Finally, yesterday it broke. I've only owned it a little over two months, and haven't even had a chance to use the replacement head. Wouldn't recommend.

I have used it several times now and it does the grill cleaning job well. I'd recommend this.

You would be much wiser to go down to Home Depot and buy their plastic scraper....it has survived with no visible wear well into it's 2nd full year of grilling sessions and looks like it will be good for several seasons more...
