This Is a useless product. It fell apart the first time I used it. All the metal brushes from one side came out and on to my grill. I cannot believe this product was made this poorly.

As a huge fan of both Steven Raichlen's books and videos, I am beside myself with disappointment at the low quality of his 30-inch Ultimate Grill Cleaning Brush. While this item looks very cool, I have to give it a 1 out of 10 for durability and function: the stainless wire bristles just fall out of the wooden handle on first use. Because only one 'unit' or 'bundle' of bristles fell out the first time I used it, I thought it might have been a fluke but on second and third use (I'm lightly brushing the surface of my grill grate here) additional bundles have fallen out leaving no doubt that none will be left within the next 10 or so uses. The other side of the brush has gold colored (copper?) wire bristles that seem to stay in but are very soft, for light duty use only (not sufficiently stiff to take off average grill build-up). The only positive thing I can say about this product regards its length, otherwise, not worth the cost of the wood used to build it. For shame, Steve, for shame.

THIS PRODUCT IS VERY CHEAPLY MADE, THE HANDLE IS GLUED TO THE METAL HOLDER, WHICH WAS NOT ATTACHED WHEN I RECEIVED IT. THE STEVE RAICHLEN SIGNATURE EMBLEM WAS PUT ON OFF-CENTER WITH A NAIL THAT WENT THROUGH THE HOLE WERE THE HANDLE GOES INTO, THUS NOT LETTING ME PUT THE HANDLE ALL WAY IN, WITHOUT REMOVING THE EMBLEM. THE BRUSHHEAD THREADS FOR THE HANDLE ARE VERY SHALLLOW, TO HOLD THE HEAD ON SECURELY.IF I WERE STEVE, I WOULD BE EMBARESSED TO PUT MY NAME ON THIS PRODUCT.

In the past I have always purchased the small grill brushes found at the local homecenter. Seemed that no matter how hard I tried they never got the grill completely clean. I would need to scrap so hard that I would destroy those brushes after the first summer season. My wife purchased this for me and I love it. Gets down into the grill getting all the build up off for the first time since I replaced the grill racks. The long handle keeps my hands away from the hot grill surface. Only issue I see is the handle is too long for it to hang from the side of my grill. My grill is over 20 years old so I think the newer ones might be a bit taller. I had no initial quality issues like some of the other reviewers. Time will tell how this holds up but so far it looks like it will last. I plan to buy some more as gifts for friends/family this year.

When we bought our little Weber Q, we also bought one of these grill cleaning brushes because we had seen Raichlen's show where he uses it. We had our first for 3 years and recently bought another.

The steel side works very well to do the tough cleaning, then the brass side can be used to tackle more of the detail. We tend to oil the grill before, so we don't have to use the scraper often. Unlike other similarly priced grill brushes we've used, the bristles don't shed right off the bat. They only started shedding after a few years of regular, heavy use.

We really like the long handle for several reasons. While we just have a wee grill, sometimes we'll clean it while it's hot, so the long reach provides good protection. Also, where we have it stored, we hang it. The length protects it from other items we have hanging nearby.

One important detail: Don't store it outside, or if you do, make sure it's in a container protecting it from rain. Our first grill brush's wood split after being outside, hanging from the grill for 3 years. Now we're keeping the second one in the garage.

Otherwise, we have been very satisfied with the Steven Raichlen Grill Cleaning Brush.

The first one arrived with the surface chipped and Amazon very quickly replaced it. So far it does what it is intended to do. It was the only "personal" sized grill pan of good quality I could find and I am happy I did. The results are the same as the large Calaphon pan that is a royal pain to wash for cooking only one piece of meat :-).

When I was a boy in the 1950's, my parents bought a toast tite which my sister and I loved. My mother gave it to me when I moved out on my own. When I had a son and daughter, they enjoyed making "flying saucer" sandwiches as they grew up and, after they graduated college and left the area to work, a must on their visits home was to make "flying saucer" sandwiches. I was perplexed as to how my one toast tite should be handed down to them. Then I saw an article in my local paper and my problem was solved. I bought one for each on amazon.com and they were thrilled. Now they don't have to wait until I pass away and fight over my one toast tite.

I wanted to let everyone know that I use the old toastite units a lot. I have purchased over a dozen of the new version and they are GREAT!! I am using the new and old and you can not tell the difference in the way that they work. In reference to the person that reviewed with a 1...a lot of the old ones are aluminum. They seem like solid steel but they are not. They had some that were made of thin steel but the aluminum ones are better. I would buy this new product many times. Utter crap, completely fell apart before i even had a chance to fill it....the striker rod and the outer reflective panels fell off....contacted seller, about it, said they'd send a replacement, haven't seen anything in weeks.

I purchased 4 of these for camping, and just for emergencies. All but 1 failed to work at all. i didnt return the bad one but oh well. The others work fairly well. In other words they light about 80% of the time. And yea the other reviewer it right the chrome cover fell off one so far. Thats because I have it on a keychain. I assume these things wont stand up to a bit of wear and tear. Still, they arent bad for the price.

The bottom will not stay on and the top will leak fluid if on its side. I got it to strike 2 time before the wick burned away and so that was that so much for 15,000 lights maybe out of the flint witch is all it is good for.

This item is what it says it is; a "pocket fire" starter! I received the item, and immediately filled it with the appropriate fuel, after testing it's fire starting capability and slipping the lighter into my pocket I caught a strong whiff of lighter fluid. I pulled the lighter out of my pocket to find that all of the fuel was leaking out into my pocket (hence the title). Upon inspection of the fuel reservoir I noticed that the o-ring designed to prevent such leakage was broken. No problem, I bought two! So I pull out the second one, fill it with fuel, attempt to light it, and the striker snapped in two! This lighter is a piece of junk! Do NOT buy this lighter, their are much better brands out there!

I have a Big Easy infrared deep fryer and this fits just fine after a minor bend (just center it on the edge of a table and bend it down about an inch).

Insert this in the Big Easy and grill the burgers vertically. Fat runs off and meat is lean and tasty. You can even use 80/20 burgers in this and have a much lower-fat result.

I have a Sunbeam Rocket Grill and that is what I use to cook almost every thing I eat. I never fry, bake or broil anything anymore. I had used almost all the bags that came with the Grill so I ordered more before I ran out. The spatula seems fine, but be careful when choosing which one to get. I intended to buy the No. 1 Dad (which was pictured) and got a No. 1 Grandpa spatula instead. This lead to what seemed like a very awkward pregnancy announcement at Christmas, but fortunately we all just had a big laugh.

Black & Decker Belgium Waffle Maker

Unlike the other reviewer the temperature control on mine works fine. It is a little confusing. Green light means it is still heating and the red light means the power is on. So you have to wait until the red light is lit and the green light is out before using. It goes against the "traffic light" paradigm.

The things I don't like are that you can't remove the grids for cleaning and it does take a while to preheat. The nonstick works well and looks to be durable. I will post my final verdict in a couple of years.

Ther is no temperature control. The setting is so low that after 15 minutes the waffles are not crispy. Don't buy this one.

Made in China for Applica Consumer Products and sold under the Black & Decker name, the biggest things that this griddle has going for it are low cost (I bought mine for less than $20) and simplicity. It's slow to preheat, has no temperature adjustment and takes about six minutes to cook a reasonably crisp waffle. The instructions say to wait for the green light before cooking, but if yours works like mine, you'll be waiting a long time for that.

The cooking surfaces are not removable for cleaning and the griddle is not water-proof, so wiping the surfaces with a damp cloth or sponge is about all that can be done to keep this waffle maker clean without voiding the appliance's warranty. The surfaces are easy to wipe clean, however.

On the plus side, a convenient carrying handle that locks the griddle closed and stays cool is integrated into the griddle's design, as is a stand-up base where the electric cord can be coiled and stored. After following the instructions for "conditioning" the cooking surfaces with cooking oil before using, I found that waffles are easy to remove from the non-stick surfaces without the need for additional conditioning. The instructions, which I followed, advise NOT to use non-stick cooking sprays.

I bought this waffle maker for occasional use in a motor home because it was cheap and doesn't take up a lot of space. For that application it is okay, but it isn't an appliance for heavy users or waffle gourmets.

Waffles are not crisp as I expected belgian waffles to be. Instructions say not to "lock/hinge" the lid closed while cooking, but if you don't -the waffles won't cook completely on both sides. The hinge lock prevents the lid from being in the down position without locking.

Waffles came out heavy and dense, whether I used mixes or made them from scratch. I couldn't decide whether it was the waffle maker, or the recipes. Put the waffle maker away for a month or so, and yesterday took it out to experiment with a new recipe (using yeast this time). The recipe said to use non-stick spray, so I did, totally forgetting that the instructions that came with the waffle maker cautioned not to use nonstick cooking spray. The maker now is destroyed waffles stick, in fact so much, that it was hard to open it after the last batch. Tried reseasoning it with oil, but did not help. Am reading reviews of other waffle irons now need a new one, and I would like a really good one this time.

Hi, I bought this grill because I was looking for one requiring minimal storage capacity. Not a lot of grill plates, compact, etc. This grills very well and I am pleased in that regard. However, it is supposed to close for upright storage, but the latch on the left side has already broken. The knob on the right side works (but if you crank it too much, the piece the knob is attached to starts to come off the handle) so the thing sort of closes....it's kind of half open on one side because of the latch. Disappointing since this is the main reason I bought this model, and for that reason I gave it two stars (and that is being generous).

I am in love with this! We bought a foreman to replace an old one and when I was doing the prewash thing... the teflon began coming off... I took it back! This one has been holding up beautifully! I use it to make everything from pork chops to cheese burgers to roasted peppers! It is really easy to use! The only problem I had had is if you have something super juicy, like my hamburgers, sometimes the juices will run out the back of the unit, not a lot, but enough where you have to wipe the counter. My foreman was waaaaaay messier though!
