We purchased our first Farberware griddle at a Sears store. AFter trying it out on our coal stove, we were delighted with the grilled cheese sandwiches (our first try on the griddle), then we tried hamburgers and potatoes. Again great. Later when the weather warmed, we used it on our electric stove and were just as happy with the results. We liked it so much we purchased one from Amazon for our daughter-in-law.

We love this griddle! Pancakes, french toast, eggs... all great!!! No need to spend twice as much on other brands... this one is great and it fits into cabinets with ease. Beware griddles with handles that are "up" instead of out!

The instructions say to use without oil and I tried it with pancakes... the release is fine! One note/correction: the instructions say DO NOT WASH IN DISHWASHER!!!!! Doing so will void your warranty. I always hand wash (honestly, I just wipe it down with a washcloth since it cleans up so easily) so it's not an issue.

I have had this griddle about a month. The griddle does not clean up very well even though I always use olive oil. But the biggest problem is it warped after using it in a 200 degree oven. Otherwise the size is fine and the rubber handles are great for preventing burns. Other farberware pans I have are OK.

Very disappointed after one use. All was going well, not warping, etc...until I took it off the stove. Some of the finish came off. I bought it at Sears and hopefully I can return it.

I bougtht this a few weeks ago. I love the finish on this...it cleans very easily, and things cook very nicely on it. It would be prefect except for the fact that it did warp slightly after the first use. Other than that, it's great.

Steven Raichlen Best of Barbecue 30-inch Ultimate Grill Cleaning Brush

This Is a useless product. It fell apart the first time I used it. All the metal brushes from one side came out and on to my grill. I cannot believe this product was made this poorly.

As a huge fan of both Steven Raichlen's books and videos, I am beside myself with disappointment at the low quality of his 30-inch Ultimate Grill Cleaning Brush. While this item looks very cool, I have to give it a 1 out of 10 for durability and function: the stainless wire bristles just fall out of the wooden handle on first use. Because only one 'unit' or 'bundle' of bristles fell out the first time I used it, I thought it might have been a fluke but on second and third use (I'm lightly brushing the surface of my grill grate here) additional bundles have fallen out leaving no doubt that none will be left within the next 10 or so uses. The other side of the brush has gold colored (copper?) wire bristles that seem to stay in but are very soft, for light duty use only (not sufficiently stiff to take off average grill build-up). The only positive thing I can say about this product regards its length, otherwise, not worth the cost of the wood used to build it. For shame, Steve, for shame.

THIS PRODUCT IS VERY CHEAPLY MADE, THE HANDLE IS GLUED TO THE METAL HOLDER, WHICH WAS NOT ATTACHED WHEN I RECEIVED IT. THE STEVE RAICHLEN SIGNATURE EMBLEM WAS PUT ON OFF-CENTER WITH A NAIL THAT WENT THROUGH THE HOLE WERE THE HANDLE GOES INTO, THUS NOT LETTING ME PUT THE HANDLE ALL WAY IN, WITHOUT REMOVING THE EMBLEM. THE BRUSHHEAD THREADS FOR THE HANDLE ARE VERY SHALLLOW, TO HOLD THE HEAD ON SECURELY.IF I WERE STEVE, I WOULD BE EMBARESSED TO PUT MY NAME ON THIS PRODUCT.

In the past I have always purchased the small grill brushes found at the local homecenter. Seemed that no matter how hard I tried they never got the grill completely clean. I would need to scrap so hard that I would destroy those brushes after the first summer season. My wife purchased this for me and I love it. Gets down into the grill getting all the build up off for the first time since I replaced the grill racks. The long handle keeps my hands away from the hot grill surface. Only issue I see is the handle is too long for it to hang from the side of my grill. My grill is over 20 years old so I think the newer ones might be a bit taller. I had no initial quality issues like some of the other reviewers. Time will tell how this holds up but so far it looks like it will last. I plan to buy some more as gifts for friends/family this year.

When we bought our little Weber Q, we also bought one of these grill cleaning brushes because we had seen Raichlen's show where he uses it. We had our first for 3 years and recently bought another.

The steel side works very well to do the tough cleaning, then the brass side can be used to tackle more of the detail. We tend to oil the grill before, so we don't have to use the scraper often. Unlike other similarly priced grill brushes we've used, the bristles don't shed right off the bat. They only started shedding after a few years of regular, heavy use.

We really like the long handle for several reasons. While we just have a wee grill, sometimes we'll clean it while it's hot, so the long reach provides good protection. Also, where we have it stored, we hang it. The length protects it from other items we have hanging nearby.

One important detail: Don't store it outside, or if you do, make sure it's in a container protecting it from rain. Our first grill brush's wood split after being outside, hanging from the grill for 3 years. Now we're keeping the second one in the garage.

Otherwise, we have been very satisfied with the Steven Raichlen Grill Cleaning Brush.

Char-Broil Wooden Handle Grill Brush with Scraper

I have used all kinds of brushes to clean my grill and this wooden one is the best I've found. The composite brushes tend to melt and I don't want that material on the grate where my dinner is going to be cooked! I really like the long scraper on the top of the brush since my "grates" are cast iron and 1/4 inch wide and long, not a small round wire type. I grill year round so I do a lot of scraping and brushing. The brass bristles are great.

This works well on the grill. I really like the brass brush part. Handle was the right length for me.

This product contains a warning on it indicating that it contains lead, and that you should wash your hands after handling it. Such a product should never be used to clean a grill surface upon which food is cooked.

I had long been frustrated by having the ceramic grills on my barbecue turn rusty, requiring replacement. It was clear that the hard metal brush recommended by the Lowes salesman was causing the damage. When I had my unit serviced I made sure to ask the technician what the best tool was to clean them without causing damage. He told me to get a brush with soft brass bristles. I found this one on Amazon and it has worked perfectly. I clean the grill after every use while it is still hot. The bristles remove large masses of burned food and the heat from the grill does the rest. Most importantly the grill is NOT damaged and remains usable for many seasons. DO NOT buy the stiff bristled brushes that they try to sell you. They are no more efficient and will quickly damage the porcelain and chrome wire grids. BTW the brush is dishwasher save. Do not be fooled by more expensive brushes. Great product.

I purchased this at the beginning of the north east grilling season and it has lasted me until September! This cheap little brush as done an admirable job on my grill that I used 3-5 times a week all summer long. It is only now just losing bristles in the front which for a four dollar item not too shabby. My only complaint is that I wish its handle was longer. Would I buy another one? All day long.

I just leave the fire on.

It is big and heavy but that is what I wanted. We used it to make pancakes and french toast on a campout helping to serve about 70 hungry teenagers. It is a great product for use on campouts or for where you have four gas burners available on your stove. I would recommend you consider the half size version of this for normal home use...unless you are feeding an army of teens.

The WindChaser has rotating louvers on the front to move the air through the room more efficiently and so it cools faster. I have asthma and always need the feeling of air movement and this fan works great for me. It can be sat on the floor, on a table, or in a window. The fact that it tilts helps to direct the air right where you need it. The controls are easy and it has a lot of options, including a timer. Oh yes, the remote is a great feature too. I can't say this is the quietest fan, but I just turn the TV a little louder. The down-side is the price and availability.

Taylor 807 Weekend Warrior Digital Fork Thermometer

This fork thermometer takes an accurate temp reading; and is a good deal for the price. It does have one quirk -it has a button to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit which I keep accidentally hitting when I hold the fork. So I end up reading the temperature wrong because it has inadvertently changed to Celcius. Just be aware of this and the fork will work fine for all sorts of cooking.

I purchased and reviewed another meat thermometer and gave it one star due to how long it took to come up to temp. I got this Taylor in hopes of much quicker read time, and definitely got what I was looking for.

It comes up to temp in about 2-3 seconds (very fast in my book), and the bright blue display with big numbers is easy to read. The design feels solid and sturdy, not cheap, and I like that it's water resistant. If I were to give any criticisms, I don't really like the "Hold" feature and find it pointless. I wish the backlight stayed on all the time and you didn't have to press "hold" for the backlight. But, for the price, this doesn't ruin the 5-star value to me. I don't think you could find a better meat thermometer for this price.

First of all, my father is obsessed with Rachael Ray. However, this year I stumped him good, he had no idea what it was. When he opened his eyes lit up like it was Christmas. He used it right away with the grill & fell in love with these tools. He says they are the best barbeque grilling tools he has ever used, but of course them being Rachael Ray is a huge plus.

I don't usually review kitchen products, but am making an exception in this case.

I discovered stovetop grills 10 years ago at Costco, a $20 reversible non-stick of some sort, that was ok but tended not to be non-stick after a couple of uses, and pretty quickly wore out. I'd buy a second, then a third. Anyway, long story short, I went through several grills over the years and was really frustrated and ready to give up.

Then a few months ago I invested in this Nordic Ware grill and wow, you really do get what you pay for. I've used this little sucker constantly since then and it is still in pristine condition, nothing and I do mean nothing sticks, and cleanup is a dream. Barring natural disaster or an attack by the blob (ooops, my age is showing), I think this one will outlast the cockroaches!

No complaints about the flat side. It's flat and it distributes heat well. I bought it more for the ridged side though, ad that's where this product loses me. Food gets stuck in the ridges and just won't come off. Plus the coating is starting to flake off, so I dont want to cook on it anymore.

I use this grill mainly for pancakes and eggs, it is heavy and does not warp like lighter weight grills. Pancakes come out great because the grill heats evenly. This is a very good product and it was also a terrific price.

Non stick coating coming off after second use. More difficult and time consuming to clean than the calphalone hard anodized grill pan I bought it to replace. This is just a poorly made piece of junk, don't waste your money.

I bought this so I could grill inside. The product comes with no care instructions at all, ie; how to wash it, pretreat it with oil?, etc. It worked well for pancakes on the flat side but the grill side did not work well. I tried to grill some meat, it smoked like crazy and set off the fire alarm! When I went to wash it with mild soap, gentle sponge and warm water the non-stick began to come off. Also, the grill left marks on my stove that have yet to come off. I wouldn't suggest this grill to anyone!
