George Foreman GR100V 100-Square-Inch Nonstick Grill with Variable Temperature Control

George Foreman GR100V 100-Square-Inch Nonstick Grill with Variable Temperature ControlI boought this grill because of the size, the fact it has an off-on switch and variable temperature controls. It works like my previous two GF grills, only better! I recently mixed five large pounded chicken breasts, peppers, onions, garlic and canola oil in a large bowl and let it marinate for an hour or so. Fish out the chicken; drain the veggies. Brush a little canola oil (no sprays) on the grill and preheat. Put the veggies on the bottom, the chicken on top of that and close the lid. Cook for about 6 minutes (you be the judge). There was plenty of room on this grill for all five breasts. Last night to reheat the three left-over breasts, I put a piece of tinfoil on the bottom, the chicken breasts and another piece of foil. Turned the grill to medium heat and in 4-5 minutes, the breasts were perfect (and, no cleanup this time).

This is a long post, but wanted to show you can cook more than steak and burgers on this grill. As far as cleanup, the secret is to clean while the grill is still hot. You can do this just after you remove the food, OR, turn off the grill and reheat later for cleaning. Two ways to do this; once grill is hot, I turn it off and spray water on both surfaces. The food just boils off (if you've ever seen a flat grill cleaned at a diner, you know what I'm talking about. I finish with a wet sponge or a paper towel. Another method I use is this: I sewed two black washcloths on three sides (so I could turn it inside out). When I finish cooking, I turn off the grill lay the super wet washcloth on it and close the lid for it to steam. After supper, most of the cooking residue just wipes off. If not, I can preheat and use the wet cloth to finish. Afterwards, the washcloth goes into the laundry to be reused.

All said (and it's a lot!), don't be afraid of the cleanup. My grill is sparkling clean and it only takes about 5 minutes and no hard work.

This grill is awesome try Google for tons of recipes type in "Recipes George Foreman Grill."

This grill works great. I love the Temperature control on this one. To say that this works terrible doesn't make any sense. It works like every other Foreman grill. Take my word for it. This product is wonderful. It cooks food fast.

I read other reviewers' comments on this unit being awkward to use and messy when cleaning. If one wants one that has confident removeable plates and is easy to handle, then go for a smaller and more expensive one. But for myself, wanting to cook more than one tiny steak or small burgers at a time, the suface area was perfect for me. It heats quick enough and fits fine in the cookware drawer.

I have the smaller original George Foreman style grill, which I love so much.

I was looking for a larger model in order to cook veggies along with my meat/poultry/fish.

I looked at just about all the models before I made my choice of this one. Most of the models did not have the same design as the smaller one, but this one has.

The design I like is this:

The back and edges of the bottom grill are designed to catch drips from the top grill when you open it and run them in a small gutter around the outside edge of the bottom grill, directing them onto the drip tray.

This also means that when you clean the top grill with a wet cloth, the drips do not go down behind the grill onto the counter top. They land on the back of the bottom grill and can go through the gutter to the drip tray at the front of the grill. Many models are not designed like this.

Clean up of both my George Foreman grills is very easy. Removable plates are not necessary. After it has cooled a little bit, place a fairly wet, warm cloth on the bottom grill and close the top. Leave it for a while and the grills just wipe clean. No scrubbing.

Foods cook fast.

I'm loving the larger cooking area.

Want George Foreman GR100V 100-Square-Inch Nonstick Grill with Variable Temperature Control Discount?

I guess I was the last person on the planet to buy a George Foreman Grill, but I'm glad I finally did! It heats up quickly, it cooks evenly and quickly, and clean up isn't too bad. (Just be sure and do it immediately after you take your food off--or at a minimum wipe the worst of it off with a paper towel and then toss on a wet dish rag and close the lid while you eat.)

The surface area is large enough to cook anything a family of four would need. The only bit of a drawback is that some of the parts seem to be a little "wobbly" and cheaply made, but we've had ours now for 6 months and have no problems at all. Sometimes we use it 3 or 4 nights during the week. It's also nice because it doesn't heat up the house.

Glad I bought it!

Brushtech B275C Deluxe 15-Inch Barbecue Grill Brush for Gas Grills

Brushtech B275C Deluxe 15-Inch Barbecue Grill Brush for Gas GrillsCould not get along without this brass bristle brush which is great for cleaning between the ribs of the grate. Wonderful shape. Handle length is perfect. Also have a wide Brushtech brush but I use this one more. Even with a large grill, it just takes seconds to clean the grill.

I could not find any brushes I liked locally, so I took the chance and ordered this one and a larger one both from brushtech. They are both good brushes and well sized. They are black handles instead of white, which is better in my opinion for a grill application.

Buy Brushtech B275C Deluxe 15-Inch Barbecue Grill Brush for Gas Grills Now

I have a Weber Genesis with porcelain coated cast iron grill grates. I got this because it's narrow thinking it'd fit between the grates and because it's brass and Weber says to use brass on their porcelain coated cast iron grates.

It does fit between the grates pretty well. It's tapered with the front being narrower than the back. What ends up happening if you aren't careful is you push it through the grate and then it's hard to get back out. I have to hold down the grate and pull it out. It's annoying, but not that big of a deal. I don't see how the company can do better because different grates are different sizes.

I found with my grates if I didn't clean them off well and oil them after cooking, they'll rust. So that Weber porcelain coating stuff is just a bunch of marketing hoo-ha. Once I started cleaning off meat that wasn't fully charred to ash, the brush started clogging. After 3 or 4 uses, the brush was totally clogged. I tried to leave just the brush in the grill and burn it off, but it just turned to a hard glob in the bristles.

I was a pro grill cook for several years and it's common to clean the grates off really well to give those nice grill marks. With good clean, hot and oiled grates, I can make diamonds easy, and triangles/star of davids with a little more effort. In a pro setting we never used those twisted brass brushes, just straight steel ones.

It just doesn't work well for cast iron grates. I woudn't have wrote this review, if it wasn't so expensive. It's twice the price of other good quality brushes and lasts as long as the cheapest brush I could find... $4 plastic one I got at Lowes.

Does the job on the coleman cast iron grates. It works pretty well on removing the gunk from between the grates!

I've come to realize that I actually prefer the wider brushes shaped like a fat bar of soap when cleaning the grates, so I am off in search of one with brass bristles. I'll use this brushtech to get the stuff in between and another to scrub the surface areas. Overall, good brass brush (considering it's getting tougher to find brass everything seems to come stainless steel)

BTW the wooden handle on the one that arrived was black not white like the one in the pictures... The black looks better as the white handle makes it look like a toilet bowl brush!

Want Brushtech B275C Deluxe 15-Inch Barbecue Grill Brush for Gas Grills Discount?

I could not find a brass brush thin enough to get the bits and pieces between the grates in my gas grill. I bought this last week and did a full cleaning of my Weber this past weekend. The brush did its job in that it helped me clean in between the grates. Now after bbq'ing, I know I can just use my standard brass brush to get the burned food on the top of the grates and then simply use the thin brash brush to get the burned pieces between the grates. Overall, pretty basic but serves its purpose!

Camerons Products Smoking Chips

Camerons Products 5-Quart Hickory Smoking ChipsI have a stove top indoor smoker and a gas grill. These shavings work well for both. I will stick to larger wood chunks for my charcoal grill, but I don't think these are meant for that purpose. The mesquite flavor comes through nicely. It is an enormous amount of wood, so it may lose its flavor before I exhaust the supply, but even so, I think it is a bargain.

Cameron's products are top quality. This is a big tub of wood chips for use in the stovetop smokers. Enough to last a year or maybe to share with a friend. Pecan wood imparts a gentle, smoky flavor to the food. I have smoked everything from beef to fish with pecan chips. I highly recommend it!

I have used the chips a couple of times since I received them. Overall I found them easy to use and have had excellent results in my smoker. I use pecan chips instead of hickory when I want a smoother less sharp flavor and they are very good on certain meats. I will buy them again and this product encourages me about Camerons overall quality.

Want Camerons Products Smoking Chips Discount?

I bought two types of these chips, cherry and hickory, to use in my Nordic Ware Oven Essentials Indoor and Outdoor Smoker. They work very well in my smoker. I used the hickory chips to smoke pork for pulled pork and to smoke chicken breasts for a chicken salad. The hickory chips give a fairly strong smoke flavor to your food. This was great for the pork, but a bit overpowering for the chicken. I tried smoking chicken breasts with just the cherry chips, which add a much milder smoke flavor than the hickory and then I used half hickory and half cherry for the chicken, and those had just the right amount of smoky flavor. I use two tablespoons of chips in my smoker for smoking, so the ten quarts of chips I purchased will last a long time. I highly recommend these chips if you have an indoor smoker.

Whirlpool 31552A Heavy Duty Degreaser 16 Ounce

Whirlpool 31552A Heavy Duty Degreaser 16 OunceI used this to clean our heavily coated Vent-a-Hood. Cut through the grease on the first try and didn't leave any harsh chemical smells. Really liked it.

I would have given it five stars but the handle on the sprayer broke right out of the box and I had to put it in another sprayer.

The product itself is five stars

after trying all sorts of degreaser on my oven, this one is by far the best. Just let it soak in for 3 minutes and it will make your over look brand new! It took off

very stubborn patches of grease.

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Enameled Cast Iron 14-Inch Roasting/Lasagna Pan

Cuisinart CI1136-24CR Chef's Classic Enameled Cast Iron 14-Inch Roasting/Lasagna Pan, Cardinal RedI was so disappointed when this item came. The vendor has the description listed as being 3.8 inches deep, not 2.8 inches deep like it is. They offered to refund my money, but I would have had to send it back on my dollar, and a cast iron lasagna pan would have cost too much to send back, so I decided to let myself be stuck with it.

Nice quality; however, the pan is nowhere near as deep as advertised. It is only 2 and 3/4 inches deep (total outside depth). Inside is only 2 1/2 inches deep.

This turns out to be the one of the best cooking purchases I've ever made. I used it for roasting vegetables and they turned out great. I've also used it as a casserole dish (baked and stuffed chicken) and everything came out perfectly done.

As for carrying a dish to another's house there is no comparison to cast iron for maintaining the heat.

I bought this from Amazon before a family Thanksgiving dinner that I was asked to bring stuffing. I used this pan, covered it with foil after cooking, and the stuffing stayed hot for hours. Clean up is a breeze too. I hope that Cuisinart will soon be offering many other pieces in this enameled cast iron at such a reasonable price as this. I absolutely recommend this pan!

Want Cuisinart Chef's Classic Enameled Cast Iron 14-Inch Roasting/Lasagna Pan Discount?

I really like cast iron pans, so thought this would be great for lasagna and it is, but the size of this thing weighs a ton, especially when loaded with lasagna, which is heavy anyway. If you use this thing in the oven, you'd best have some pretty heavy-duty oven racks and some arm muscles to wrestle it in and out of the oven!

In my Mom's brand new Maytag Neptune stove the oven rack flexed, but didn't permanently bend the rack. A lesser oven rack would, undoubtedly, be permanently damaged.

The pan was so heavy loaded with lasagna neither my Mom nor I could get it into or out of the oven. Had to have my husband do it. I wouldn't advise putting it onto a dishwasher rack!

Clean-up was great...nothing stuck to it and washing was easy except for hefting it over to rinse.

I think I'd best look for a cermaic version of this same size pan.

NEW WindStream 20 Inch Oscillating Super High Velocity Stand / Floor / Pedestal Fan. Easy to Clean

NEW WindStream 20 Inch Oscillating Super High Velocity Stand / Floor / Pedestal Fan. Easy to Clean Blades with Durable All Steel Safety Grill, 3,083 Cubic Feet of Air per Minute, UL Listed - Moves double the air of a 16 inch stand fan.I'm impressed with the power of this fan. My previous fan was a cheap model with 16" blades, a 40-watt motor, and moved under 1000 cubic feet of air a minute which is ok if you just need a soft breeze. However, if you need to move air, this fan has 20" blades, a 90-watt motor, and moves more than triple the amount of air.

I live in a rectangle shaped apartment with few windows. The air-conditioner is in the bedroom at the far end and not enough cool air makes it into the rest of the place. This fan does a great job of pushing the cool air out into the rest of the apartment.

This is easily the most well-constructed fan I have owned. I did a lot of research before making this purchase. If you need to circulate a lot of air, this is your best bet.

It's also worth mentioning that the folks at McDeal's were super efficient at processing my order.

We bought the Windstream 20" fan away from Amazon because of price and shipping considerations. Still, it was about 3x the cost of the generic 16" fan available from box stores.

Assembly takes one person and a strong screwdriver. Note that the heavy-duty power cord is grounded and needs a 3 prong outlet. Note also that the base gets attached with screws so that the fan cannot be easily disassembled for flat storage. The cover is easily removed for blade cleaning.

This fan is not a toy. The 90 watt motor and 5 shaped blades blow a lot of air in a tight stream that can be felt at 20 feet on high setting. Yes, there is noise commensurate with the speed setting.

Recommended for those needing a powerful standing fan.

Very, very good fan. Easy to assemble, blows very powerfully, and prety quiet for it's size. Plus, I think it's going to going to be more durable than some of the cheaper fans. I would definitely buy agian.

This unit really moves the air. It would not be useful in areas where noise or low velocities are needed. The low speed does not seem to be much lower than the high speed. The noise is not overly loud, but it is not as quiet as some, but the quiet ones don't move the air this unit does. In my application, moving air in a 36 foot long sunroom, it is ideal. I would buy again!

Speaker Grill Cloth Black Yard 70 Wide
  • Sold by the linear yard for easy ordering
  • Super value makes it perfect for your next project
  • Extra wide grill cloth allows for plenty of wiggle room when fitting

The bolt of speaker cloth that I have seems to have more of a charcoal black appearence. In other words a subtle touch of gray. It is of a nice weave and looks good, but others seem to have had various degrees of coloring in this black cloth also! I have found better colors of black cloth from other sellers, but this is still a nice fabric to work with, just be prepared for something other then a solid black color!

Very good quality speaker cloth. I see no need to spend more money for this type of material. LED lights will be seen through the material. Also remote IR can transmit through the material so you can put your remote receivers behind the cloth. There is no noticeable sound attenuation.

As a previous review stated, the cloth is not a deep black, however it is a very dark shade that I would call black brown. Which, in my case, was exactly what I was looking for. I changed one of the doors in my Ikea "Besta" brand media cabinet into a speaker door which hides a subwoofer from my Yamaha surround sound system. The Ikea cabinet is the color Ikea calls "black-brown". The cloth coordinates perfectly with it. The cloth is very nice and was very easy to work with. I used fabric glue to attach it to the frame I made to hold the fabric and attach to the Ikea door frame. To be fair, my wife and daughter say the color looks black to them. When I first held the cloth, it looked black, however when I place it next to other black items, it looks more like I said earlier, a "black-brown".

George Foreman Champ Grill, Red

George Foreman Champ Grill, RedI've had a several variations on the small George Foreman grills. I have literally worn most of them out, and they last when cared for! I use my GF a LOT. They are great when making a meal in the summer. It doesn't noticeably heat the room like the broiler in my oven and I think it uses much less power all year round. They are just the right size for one or two people.

I cooked steak, lamb, pork, chicken, salmon, tuna, cod, haddock, bluefish, trout, and a bunch of stuff that just isn't coming immediately to mind. It was all great. The biggest danger is over-cooking because it's so fast and cooks from both sides at once.

When cooking for one and there is space behind a steak or pork chop, I put slices of veggies like bell pepper and onions back there to cook with the steak. Behind the steak is a steamy spot on the grill and these veggies cook to perfection in the same time as the steak. Sometimes I rub them with olive oil for a nice taste.

The tilted design is great to get rid of grease and the hot plates sear the surface to seal in juices and flavor. With fish I like to use a very light coating of Mayo which seems to help make pink and white fish even more detectibly moist and tasty. With steak and meats the grill works great with rubs and spices. I really like the Paul Prudome "magic" line of spices. Yum! Even cooking a whole trout is great, albeit I needed to slice it in two at the ribs so it all fit at once. About 6 minutes between the plates and done to yummy perfection.

If you freeze steaks, a 6 oz 3/4" thick steak frozen solid and dropped on the hot places will be done to medium in just about 10 minutes, in my experience steak cold out of the fridge of the same size/thickness is done to medium in about 5 to 6 minutes. The timing is just about second nature now.

The non-stick surface isn't perfect, though pretty good. Be careful with forks/knives and use a plastic spatula to remove fish as it has a greater tendency to stick than anything else.

Cleanup is oh so easy. While one must not put their little GF in the dishwasher or immerse it (I wish the plates were removable!) it's still pretty easy to clean.

First, just after the food comes off I give it a quick hot wipe with a paper towel to get the bulk off. Just takes a second to do this. After the meal I finish the clean-up by hanging the front of the GF over the sink and using a soapy wet sponge. I thoroughly wash the plates and clean the catch tray. Then I use the clean catch tray to rinse the plates of soap, then drain it and both air dry. Water all flows into the sink and it's really clean. It all takes a minute or two.

This is a great tool. If it wasn't so great why would I keep buying them? :-) I even keep a spare on the shelf in case my current 4 year old one fails. I love my GF and its saved so much of my time while giving me great food to enjoy.

Update May 2013:

I've moved to a new GF Champ (the current one was bought 4 years ago) and the cooking times seem to be a little longer than my old one. Just a little reminder that while all the GF Champ variations are virtually identical (except for the plastic shell) there are small individual differences in how hot they get and cooking times may need small adjustments between units. I find the same thing is true in Microwave ovens. A small adjustment.

I still love my GF Champ and have given just about one of every champ model to friends or family members.

I cook a ton of stuff on my Foreman chicken, pork chops, and steaks. I got this smaller one because I live in a small NYC apartment and you have to be wary of the footprint of everything. The main issues I have with it are that it's kind of a pain to clean because the plates aren't removable and the power cord is just way too short. Again, it's an NYC thing and probably not an issue if you live in a larger, more modern apartment with lots of counter space and outlets nearby. For me though, I have to position it oddly or use an extension cord.

Buy George Foreman Champ Grill, Red Now

I just bought this grill and it was delivered in 2 days. It replaced an earlier one that I had for about 8 years which was losing its non stick coating.

The size of this grill was a little smaller than my first one and I was a little surprised even though I had written down the measurements.

However it turned out to be a blessing in disquise. It is still large enough for my needs and the benefit of the smaller size is less weight and less counter space and easier cleaning. Actually it is so light that I can hold it with one hand so that running hot water runs over the plates while holding with one hand without getting into the wiring or the underside. That enables me to use those separately sold sponges to easily clean the grille. Then wipe it dry with a paper towel.

I had initially wanted to purchase a grille with the removable plates for washing in the dishwasher, but after reading all the customer reviews it appears that those models do not heat up sufficiently to really sear the meat.

This model heats up quickly and heats up to a higher temperature than my original model, easily searing the meat. It will cook a 1 pound hamburger or two thick pieces of pork in 5 minutes.

I would recommend this model to single people who want something quick, easy and economical. Get the sponges as they are worth the money.

Pizzacraft PC0206 4" x 5" Hardwood Handled Pizza Stone Scrubber Brush with Stainless Steel Bristles

Pizzacraft PC0206 4' x 5' Hardwood Handled Pizza Stone Scrubber Brush with Stainless Steel BristlesI had been looking for a new brush for a while, and after reading the other reviews I decided this was a good choice for the money.

The package arrived and I opened it up, pulled out the brush, and it immediately fell to pieces in my hand.

This brush has two halves, the top half, a wooden handle, And a bottom half, a plastic mold holding the steel bristles. The two halves are held together with four screws.

My brush arrived with the two halves separated, and all the screws had fallen out. At first I thought "no big deal, I can just put it back together, and it will work fine", at this point I was a little annoyed that the product had shown up this way and now I was having to put it together myself.

However, I am unable to put the brush together myself because the screws wont go far enough into the plastic, they only go about 1/4 of an inch into the plastic, and the two halves will just not stay together.

I'm going to have to use some super glue or buy slightly longer screws to fix this thing.

I probably won't even bother fixing it actually. This was a waste of money and my time spent trying to fix it.

Very disappointed with this product, I should have spent my money on something that was constructed a bit more solid.

To the manufacturer/seller, Don't be so cheap, use screws that are long enough to hold your product together.

The brush completely fell apart as I removed it from the packaging when it arrived. All four screws that hold the wood handle to the plastic base of the brush bristles pulled loose and came apart. The screws seem too short to really hold on to the plastic base.

Broan 97006651 Plastic Grille Assembly for 688 Fan UnitI ordered this part because there are so many different products with the same product number to choose from and I needed a vent cover for my washroom. I initially purchased two vent covers and this was one. I received the other part with same order/product number of which fit perfectly and arrived quickly. I have to say that the Shipping from this seller was horribly slow and by the time I called amazon to inquire about it (weeks after purchase) I was informed that the item was finally on the way to my house. Of which I cancelled since it took so long to come to me, and I ordered two items one of which was perfect and was exactly what I needed. Non Stick Oven Liner

Non Stick Oven LinerWe used this once in the oven at a temp of 425 for an hour. It kind of melted on to the oven and it totally ruined. We had another brand from Carol Wright in our second oven that works great. I was just trying to save some $$, but I guess you get what you pay for.

This oven liner became discolored after a period of time. Doesn't perform as well as the others I've used in the past. It does the job though, but may not last as long as a more expensive one.

As I removed the flimsy material, I first thought that maybe this was a protective backing for the actual liner and that the seller had left out the actual liner! But, no. The flimsy parchment-paper like material IS the liner. The way it was packaged is keeping it from staying flat in the bottom of the oven. I'm still debating whether I will bother to lay heavy books on it to try and straighten it out or fool with trying to return the thing.

This item is not like the picture shows,(Brown)it's black. It is also very thin and flimsy. We currently have cookie sheet liners purchased from our local Restaurant supply store that we have been using for 6 years now. Both stoves (sheets) are getting pretty banged up and need replaced. I read the reviews and thought that the sticking, burning and smelling must be something people are doing to cause this. We have not had any problem with the sheets we are using, just take them out and wash them and put back in. So when I saw these sheets on Amazon, I thought I would save myself a trip to town to the restaurant supply store and the sales tax and one dollar ($14.00 at the store). When they arrived, my wife said what are these? I said a few colorful words and told her I should have heeded the cautions in the reviews I read, and that this is not what I thought I was getting. These are made in China, Black, more than half the thickness of the ones we are using. We will not use these in our ovens, we will find some other use and it is too much of a pain in the butt to ship back. Be ware of this Made in China Peace of Sh$$. Get off your butt and go to town to your local Restaurant supply store and get the good ones for a buck or so more. cheaper in the long run. Ours are 6 years old.

Rosle 25058 Barbeque Marinade Injector

Rosle 25058 Barbeque Marinade InjectorI've tried this with chicken, beef and pork and with each one the flavor is as strong or subtle as your marinade and the amount of marinade you inject.

It is well made, rust proof and the stainless steel needle is rust proof. All components of this gadget can be disassembled for washing and are dish washer safe.

My chicken with lemon, garlic and rosemary was exceptionally flavorful. Much more so than rubbing on or stuffing the interior.

I am very satisfied with using this product. It really adds more boldness of flavor if that is what you're seeking.
