Bayou Classic 7442 14" Square Cast Iron Reversible Griddle

This is a very robust piece of cookware. I give it a 3 star because realistically, you'll only be able to use one side, so pick which one you will want to use and stick to it. The reason is, once you've got one side all good and seasoned, when you flip it to use the other side, that seasoning you worked hard to get will warp and you have to start over; Also, whatever you cook on the other side will taste like stove burner because that's where it's been all this time!

This seems to be one of those products where the idea is much better than the reality of it. While seasoning the product per the instructions, this griddle warped pretty badly. It doesn't seem like anyone else has had this issue, so maybe I received a defective one, but nonetheless after I researched reversable griddles a bit there seems to a be a general consensus that they don't perform as well. While you have one side established and seasoned, as soon as you flip it and apply direct heat, it will diminish the other sides seasoning and can also cause the grease/seasoning to drip right onto your heat source. It can blacken glass stove tops etc. The handles also are completely flush to the sides and this thing is impossible to pick up once you lay it on a flat surface. It's also very heavy. I returned and got 1 flat and 1 grill griddle made by Lodge, so far they have performed much better, are lighter in weight, are already seasoned and I am not risking damaging them or my stove top.

This product is really good for making dosa, chappatti and other indian dishes. You need season the product first time, after that it is great. At present i seasoned this product(not fully done) but still makes restaurant style dosa in minutes

Weber 121020 Go-Anywhere Charcoal Grill

My first "Go-Anywhere Weber Grill," purchased in 1984, sold me on design and efficiency. After cooking my dinner, I'd shut the side and top air vents thus suffocating the fire. I found I could get two, three, and sometimes four meals from a single load of charcoal (depending on cooking times). And, on picnics, the fire would be out and the grill "touchable" after about 15 minutes. The grill is large enough to handle most meals for say 6 to 8 persons and even small (4-6 lb) chickens, but if you're cooking turkey, this isn't the grill for you. I'm now on my second "G-A" grill, as the first bounced around the world with me in Korea, Yemen, China, and the U.S. until the movers crushed it in 1993. Ended up contacting Weber directly when I couldn't find a replacement locally, and number 2 is in good shape after 8 years of rigorous use.

Hi there, I've just recently purchased this grill and have used it 2 times already. I can honestly say that this grill has exceeded my expectations! It is well built, and folds up very compactly for storage. It (like all Weber products) cooks very evenly, and refuses to flare up. The air dampers are easy to operate, and the porcelin coating will ensure many years of use. You will also be suprised at how much food you can cook on it. This is a well-designed small scale charcoal grill. I generally use it when I only want to cook for one or two people or when portability matters.

I've had my Go-Anywhere charcoal grill for about three years, and it has held up extremely well. The durable exterior coating is very resistent to the elements (and it's small enough that you could easily let it cool down and chuck it into a closet if you want to keep it indoors). The only thing that has really shown any significant wear is the grill grate, but these are easily replacable (and, in the long run, all grates give out eventually).

The grill has four air vents (two top mounted exhaust vents, and two vents mounted along the bottom sides). Opening all four vents allows enough oxygen flow for medium temperature cooking. Closing all four vents will suffocate a fire pretty quickly. Cooking with the lid off and the bottom vents open will net you a hot fire that will be great for searing.

Additionally, the lid can be "rockered" back onto the body of the grill. This means that you don't have to look around for someplace to put a potentially very hot piece of metal *and* you can use it as a windshield if you want.

If you like charcoal cooking and you either want a small grill or you need a portable grill, I would highly recommend this product.

My grate just died after about 10 years of heavy use. Rather then buy a replacement grate, I wasn't thinking and just purchased a whole new portable grill. The next day I purchased a replacement grate online from the weber folks and that transaction was very smooth as has always been the case with Amazon. So now I have two functioning portable grills. It seems to me that the food sits closer to the charcoal on this then it does full sized grills, so heat has never been an issue with mine, although the charcoal may loose it's heat a little faster as you can't really make a pile of charcoal or stack the brickets very much. I actually think it is easier to burn things on this grill then others, and learning how to use the vents to control heat is something you will need to do. Honestly though, this is the only grill I have any real experience with and I love the portability and often wrap it in a trash bag and take it to state parks for 'eating out'.

My only complaint is they have changed the handles to plastic on the new models which now require mits to handle during the process. The old model had wood handles and I never needed a mit to take the cover off and check my food.

A good charcoal grill for when you need portability. I recently bought a Smokey Joe Silver and cooked side-by-side with my Go-Anywhere, and this grill is definitely more convenient for camping trips and other excursions. Both are good quality, as you'd expect with a Weber, but the Go-Anywhere has a lot more control for vents and packs up better for travel. It also has the prongs so I can hang the hot grill cover off the side, and the Smokey Joe Silver does not. Capacity on this grill is about six burgers, or three to four steaks (depending on size).

For those who say they prefer a cheaper portable grill to the Weber... I did exactly that, and junked the cheap, rusting-out grill after one year in favor of the Weber, which I expect to last for years. Weber is quality that I'm willing to pay more for. My only complaint, as another reviewer noted, is the plastic handles.

Good size, which was my #1 requirement. Not expensive and as a result some lesser quality features... are the simulated leather strapping and dimestore gold chain tethering the lids. Not quite a good line up on lids to base either. Not disposable, but definately only up to the pace of a date lunch every so often. Good value if that's the goal.

I absolutely love this picnic basket. It is well constructed, the lining is well made and securely attached, it's unique in how it opens, and the items included are usually in a much more expensive basket. The plates are thick melamine-type plastic, the forks, knives and spoons are sturdy metal with colored plastic on the handles and I love the salt and pepper shakers. It really is a great deal for the price. I already own three picnic baskets, this one was a gift for someone, so I knew I wanted something that was quality because I know where the failures usually occur in picnic baskets (handles and closures). I was very pleased with how this was constructed as well as the clever design and the fully lined interior. The only drawback is that it's sort of flat and so you have to be very judicious in what you choose to pack in here. I have purchased nearly every stainless steel cleaner & polish on earth and they all streaked my stainless steel appliances.

This cleaner does not steak period and is easy to get on and off.

Daily wipe downs can be done with a damp microfiber cloth and then dried with a microfiber cloth.

Use the polish every week or so.

I did notice on brand new appliances that the polish has to be used on the entire surface the first time,as the polish tends to deepen the coloring of the stainless just enough that you can notice.

After the first application the polish can be used to spot clean if necessary.

Not sure how this product ruined the other reviewer's refrigerator, who knows what was going on there.

I would imagine if orange juice or some sort of acidic product was left to dry on the surface, it would etch and no amount of cleaner or polish would correct that.

This thermometer was a great price and easy to use. Just stick it in and check the temperature. Clean up is easy too. Used it to do my turkey Christmas. Worked great.

Thermometer came exactly as pictures. The red piece is removable and is a nice silicone material. The actual probe itself is about 4 inches long. Great for cooking and checking temps. Note that (you can see in the picture) you are not supposed to immerse this thermometer in water, so if you need to check water temp use something else.

I picked this up in April of 2012 to use in my grill and I no longer use it. I had some initial issues with it because it just didn't seem right, accuracy-wise. A few months later I picked up an electronic one and did a comparison, this thermometer simply wasn't very accurate temperature-wise so now it's in the bottom of a box with other grilling items.

I don't recommend this, sure it can give you a very basic understanding of the temperature but the accuracy is questionable. Spend a few extra dollars and get something better, you'll be happier.

Smokeless Indoor Stove Top BBQ Grill

I know someone is going to complain if they use it on a gas stove because you do need to be careful and not knock it off the burner. And there are others who will complain that the water in the lower ring is messy. Don't over fill it and there is no problem. Even the one time I knocked it off the burner I didn't get too much water on the stove. This is a ridiculously simple item, and that is going to be a problem for some people who expect their appliances and cookware to do everything but set the table and seat them. For people who like tagines and clay pots, this is a fun little cooker.

I have cooked several dinners on this thing and it is now my go to way of cooking fat free. Simple. A cup of water, medium low heat, a little spritz with cooking oil (not entirely necessary) and as soon as it is ready to sizzle, slap the meat on there. There is a steam that comes off it and the meat will do what meat does....splatter. Not as bad as frying but it will do a bit. I have had great luck with zucchini and shrimp, mushrooms and asparagus. Play with your oils. A little drizzle of chili oil gives it a zip. I haven't tried wine in the water ring yet.

Clean up is a breeze. The non-stick surface cleans up easily. With only two pieces that are simple in design, the clean up takes a few swipes and done. No intricate parts to catch food particles.

When I bought this I thought....eh, I can afford to toss out $14 if it doesn't work. Maybe pass it on to someone with a bbq grill. No way. I love mine. It stays on the back of the stove with the tea kettle in the honored spot of absolutely necessary.

This is my second grill. The non-stick came off the first one after less than 10 uses. Hint: spray with Pam before using and hand wash only. Dishwasher tablets are more abrasive and have ruined a few cookie sheets also. Delivery of the grill was like Jimmy Johns, freakishly fast. I am pleased.

I tried this grill shortly after it arrived. I grilled my breakfast sausage patties on it and it did fine. It hand washed easily and the grill coating did not come off. This is only after one washing. It is easy to clean but the grease does run under and sticks to the underside of the grill and is heated to a degree that it does not come off. No problem for me. This unit might be good for grilling wings, two small burgers or a pork chop. Not a large grilling surface but is ok cooking for one. Two might be a stretch and three is not a good idea unless the three are on a limited quantity diet. I suspect that the photo of four kabobs is definitely a stretch. One has to pour the liquid slowly or it runs over and drips onto the element and down to whatever is under the element. One does need to use a liquid, non flammable, or the chrome ring would discolor and perhaps warp The grease runs off the slightly domed surface down into the slots at the edge and then into the water. The concept is ok but they need to make one for the large diameter element as well. Then it may be more useful to a family. I gave it a 3 star for concept, price and marginal quality.

Charcoal Companion Non-Stick Shaker Basket for Grilling with Rosewood Handle

We had this exact basket in steel and the food stuck horribly. After finally pitching it, I decided on this one hoping the nonstick would prove easier to clean. So far, its been wonderful.

I do have to say that the handle is weird the last handle snapped into place and made it easy to shake the basket. There is no shaking going on with this handle. Use a spatula to stir or flip the food.

This Basket is a good size.

I am not a fan of the way the handle works. Two prongs fit into the squares of basket. The one my friend has (who received it as a gift), has a handle that slides on to two short posts that stick out from the basket area. A pushbutton releases the handle. His was a higher gauge steel wire,not coated with non stick.

Personal opinions. I like it, though there is a better quality one out there. Just can't find it. Many people will like this product.

George Foreman Omelet Plates for the G5 George Foreman Grill

Got these at the same time I bought the grill. With the additional amazon $25 discount for spending $125, it seemed like a good idea.

However, after making omelets in both the Omelet Plates, and the Baking Plates, I prefer the latter. I like my omelet folded, with the cheese and other fixings in the middle. With the Omelet Plates, you place the eggs and other fixings in the oval indentations. While cooking, it puffs up considerably. You then sprinkle cheese on top after it is done. It tastes fine.

I would wait until you have used the basic plates before you decide you need the Omelet Plates.

I ordered these plates last week and got them last night. They work very well, easy to make omelets and quick. One helpful piece of advise: Have all of your ingredients ready to place in the indents of the tray as the omelets cook very fast. Also, use a non fat cooking spray like Pam, after cooking your omelets will slide right out of the tray that way and make cleanup a snap! I am glad I bought these. The picture shows one tray, there actually 2 trays, the bottom tray is the deep tray where the eggs and other ingredients go, there is also a upper tray with shallower indents.

leftover meat can be chopped and the grandkids will eat leftover hamburger in a pocket pie with other veggies even tho they won't eat it when first served put crust on top and bottom and temp on medium or crust will get done with middle still cool

Emeril by All-Clad E9191364 Hard Anodized Nonstick 11-Inch Square Griddle Cookware, Black

After I ordered this griddle from Amazon, I read reviews of Emeril cookware, and was really scared. It seems the bottom of pans *melt*! It was too late to cancel my order (in this case Amazon sent my order through immediately), so when the griddle arrived, I tried it out right away. It worked great and was totally non-stick.

I concluded that the griddles are made differently than the pans, since they're one layer of anodized metal and don't melt like the pans do which have layers of different metals on the bottom. So no one needs to avoid buying this griddle. I compared the quality with griddles at Walmart, and it's heavier and of better quality. The griddle heats up fast and cooked my pancakes quickly, so there's no need to use high heat for cooking.

The instructions that came with the griddle did warn against melting aluminium, but I doubt that those instructions apply to the hard anodized griddles. Perhaps because of poor reviews of Emeril cookware, this griddle was heavily discounted, so the price was excellent, about 50 percent off list price.

I did some research and found the quote below about anodizing, so there's no worry about high heat with this griddle:

"Hard anodizing produces an extremely durable pan that has twice the hardness of stainless steel. This cookware has an extremely long lifespan and can resist abrasion and corrosion. The surface will not chip or peel and it can handle extremely high heat levels without damage to the finish."

This is the second square griddle I've owned thus far, the first being an Anolon one which has lost all of its non stick properties and is warped(bowed out in the center area). This one seems to be going the way of the first. The non stick properties are ok so far (as is with most non sticks in the first six months of use), but the originally flat surface has "bloated" up in the center to the point where liquid will run to the sides and cooking pancakes and sunnyside up eggs has become a bit tricky. Might be my fault(or might not be?) as I used it a few times on med-high heat on the gas range to sear meat, but still disappointing for it to warp so.

Also on a purely cosmetic note, the pan looks really cheap(to where I wouldn't have paid its price if I saw it on a store shelf). The handle in Amazon's picture looks shiny(like 18/8 stainless) but in reality it has a dull stamped metal look to it(because it is:). Sure it doesn't affect the cooking but it also doesn't add to buyer satisfaction.

I don't think it's an especially great deal at it's current $25 price.

My Wife and I received this "griddle" for a wedding gift. We had to return it because of warping....

I cook eggs every morning so I used this pan only as my "egg" pan. It survived the first 30 days of cooking eggs. Then it slowly started to warp. It has warped a 1/4" high in the middle. Returning it to Macy's was no problem. BUT now...Macy's stopped carrying it.

I CONTACTED CUSTOMER SUPPORT TWICE to get a required RMA #....So far, it's been two weeks and I haven't heard back from them.

Emerilware should be Illegal....It's simply ripping off the consumer.

One of the great benefits to cooking on the George Foreman Grill is its inclined surface that allows rendered fat to drip away from the food that is cooking. Not only does this reduce unwanted calories in what you're cooking, it keeps many foods from being as greasy, especially hamburgers. (Just remember to put the drip pan beneath the opening; otherwise, you'll have quite the mess to clean up!) Another great benefit of using the George Foreman Grill is that it heats both the lower and upper cooking surfaces so that cooking times are greatly shortened. Hence, not only is food that is cooked on the grill less greasy, it cooks much faster than if you were using a frying pan or a barbecue grill. Since both the upper and lower cooking surfaces are coated with non-stick materials, cooked food doesn't stick and clean up is very easy. To give an idea as to the amount of available cooking space, four 1/3-pound hamburgers easily fit and cook simultaneously. (If the hamburgers are smaller, it can cook more than four.)

Overall, I rate the stainless steel George Foreman Grill with 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend it. It's especially useful & timesaving if you're on a low-carb diet.

I think the negative reviews are from people attempting to clean the insides of their oven with this. This is a cooktop cleaner. I have a gas range with a black top which shows EVERYTHING. I had burnt on grease that I could not get off with all the other products I tried. With this, I just put a little on a damp paper towel and rubbed the grease right off. No smell and it doesn't appear to be harsh. It just works.

This is by far the best around for my glass cook top. I use cerma brite once a week and this for daily clean up and it works great. Removed grease easily. Use after each use of cooktop and you can maintain your shine. Just spray on and wipe with paper towel.... Amazing

I thought this was the same as the spray on wipe off formula. This is a thick blue chalky formula that is VERY hard to get off. Will not buy again as there are better products available.

This ceramic top cleaner leaves my oven very smooth, clean and shiny. It's also very easy to wipe off, as opposed to other cleaners on the market. Burn residue or marks can be removed with Magic Erasers. One shouldn't depend on ceramic cooktop cleaners to remove EVERYTHING; if that was the case, then these cleaners could damage the cooktop surface. Even Barkeepers Friend doesn't totally remove charred burn marks. This product does its job for what it was designed for.

I picked up Easy Off cook-top cleaner because I was out of Cerama Bryte. Boy, was that a mistake! It didn't clean my cook-top as well as the other brand. I thought I bought something else and had to read the label and instructions again to make sure this was a cleaner for cook-tops. I do not see how this stuff is marketed to clean dirty stove cook-tops! It would probably be fine for a dusty cook-top, but not much else. This stuff also left many streaks, smears, and swirl marks all over the cook-top. I have a ceramic topped stove that is smooth, just like others on here who are saying that the product worked great for them. I wonder if we are rating the same product after reading the positive reviews. I used this stuff one time and threw it away, that's how bad it worked for me...and I always try to find another use for a product if it doesn't work for its intended purpose. Sorry, Easy Off. I like your other products, but absolutely hated this one.

TEKTON 7063 Detail Brush Set, 5-Piece

They're smaller than you probably think and they may remind you of something you'd buy at the dollar store, but they're decent and they work. I knew I'd be near throwing these away after using them to clean a 27 year old engine bay, so that didn't bother me. if its a quick, throw-away job, these are fine, but if you're looking for something longterm, spend more money.

I bought these brushes to go with my shoe shine kit. I only use the nylon brushes, but the other ones were a bonus.

Love this little kit for the money, I have a set I use for my cars and garage. The nylon brush is great for detailing interior vents trim. I just bought a second kit for cleaning electronics and other household items. Sturdy handles and all my bristles are still intact. Again, great stuff for the money!

I needed a set of smaller brushes for cleaning smaller items. I use a Dremel tool wire brush for some small parts, but needed something to supplement that for hard to reach corners and other recess areas. This set of brushes covers the entire stiffness range and in that respect the set surpasses my expectations. They do the job as I expected, and seem sturdy enough.

I LOVE these brushes. They are so handy to use on small parts such as misting heads or in detailing a car dashboard. The bristles are securely kept in the handles and don't come out when using. The Brass brush is my favorite but the stainless steel one is great also. The large nylon is super convenient in clearing debris and the fingernail brush is great for shoes, fabric or fingernails. :) This is a great buy that you will USE.
