With the Omelet Plates, you place the eggs and other fixings in the oval indentations. While cooking, it puffs up considerably. You then sprinkle cheese on top after it is done. It tastes fine.

They work very well, easy to make omelets and quick. One helpful piece of advise: Have all of your ingredients ready to place in the indents of the tray as the omelets cook very fast. Also, use a non fat cooking spray like Pam, after cooking your omelets will slide right out of the tray that way and make cleanup a snap! I am glad I bought these. The picture shows one tray, there actually 2 trays, the bottom tray is the deep tray where the eggs and other ingredients go, there is also a upper tray with shallower indents.
