The pizza cutter/turner is plastic and in my opinion poor quality (hence only 4 rather than 5 stars). I chose to throw away and use my higher pizza cutter and turner.

Addition as of Dec. 19, 2012: We've been using this heater constantly for weeks now that it's cold and I'd give it even more stars if it were possible. It's small, doesn't raise our electric bill much, and heats out big living room all by itself, and quickly. I've always preferred space heaters to whole-house heaters and nearly always buy one every season -never the same kind. If this one ever breaks down, I'll get another of the same kind. One of the most impressive things about it is the "low" setting. It goes low enough that I can put it right next to my feet and it warms without overheating my skin and making it itch. My cat also can comfortably sleep with it inches from his face without problems. I absolutely love this heater. (Below is my original review.)

Here in southern California, we don't need heavy duty heaters. In fact, I virtually never use the whole-house heater because I prefer, even in winter, to have a cold face and warm feet. I've been using little space heaters like this for at least 20 years.

We have a 13X20 foot living room and I set this Bionaire heater up in the usual place: beneath the edge of a very large double-decker glass coffee table. This way, my feet get hit, my husband, sitting kitty-cornered from me in his Laz-E-Boy gets a nice blast, and the table warms, which is an absolute necessity according to our cats. Some heaters accomplish only these requirements, but the Bionaire also easily heats the entire room, and quickly. The oddly rotating grill definitely amps things up, too. It's perfect for our needs.

Finally, and most importantly in our multi-cat household, if the heater tips over, it turns off. Last year I bought a heater for $60 -the Bionaire is only $35 -and it didn't have a safety shut off. (I hadn't even thought to check -I assumed it had one because of the price, and you know what happens when you assume...) Because of this, I couldn't leave the heater on for the cats as I normally do on the coldest nights. This year, our cats will be much happier. Recommended!

I'm always scouting for a better space heater for our guest bedroom/sewing room. It's the "bonus room," the large room above the garage, and is very chilly during the winter.

I have been using the original little ceramic heater made by Pelonis, Pelonis B-6A1, Classic 4 Disc Ceramic Safety Furnace, Brown. The Bionaire is about 1/3 larger than the Pelois and is about half the price. The Bionaire threw lots of heat, enough to warm up the room in short order. The rotating grill did disburse the heat more evenly and seemed to spread the warmth quicker than the Pelonis. Nevertheless, the ceramic disc design of the Pelonis is probably still the gold standard for space heaters.

My Bionaire was missing the owner's manual. There was no documentation of any kind in the box just the heater. However, the operation is fairly straightforward and self-evident. Some instructions are printed on the side of the box.

The Bionaire has an automatic cutoff, so, of course, I tried it. Upon tipping over the heater, the cutoff switch activated. I tried to restart it and, nothing! Then, I read on the side of the box that you must wait 30 minutes for the heater to cool down before restarting. Probably, a good safety feature.

The cord of the Bionaire is long enough that you don't need an extension. Space heaters are not supposed to be used with extension cords. A nifty little feature is a cord storage area on the bottom of the heater. Neatness counts.

Let me begin by saying that I have a room in my home that works as a combination bedroom at night, office during the day. As such, I spend most of my time in the room and hate to spend a lot of money heating the whole house. So, I usually will keep the house around the low 60 degree mark and then use a space heater in my room to keep the temperature a bit warmer in the space I am in most of the time. Usually, I have a full size Lasko model that keeps my 11x18 room relatively toasty. I received this Bionaire model through Vine earlier this month and, on one of the coldest days of the fall this year, decided to try it out. To begin with, it is compact.. maybe 8-9 inches high and maybe 9 inches wide. It has a rotating (optional) fan to help circulate the air (my Lasko actual rotates the unit from side to side to do the same). It is attractive and looks like a small table fan when in use. Downside is the size, it is not really big enough to handle this room (unless I kept the door shut and the unit running constantly and eventually the corners would show an increase in room temp). It's great to keep right next to me on floor while I am at my desk to warm my immediate space. It's also relatively noisy (the Lasko is much quieter).

Bionaire Heat Circulator with rotating grill works great. We have had a few chilly nights here lately, perfect to give this heater a try ,it works great! Believe me when I tell you I have several different makes and types of heaters . This one holds it own with the best of them. It has a pleasing shape and two heat settings. You can also turn off the grill rotation. I also like the tip over overheat safty feature.I put it on high and it warmed an open 12 x 13 ft room with 9 ft ceilings. The only thing that took getting used to was the way the grill rotates. It slowly goes around instead of from side to side. It works just as well as my tower heater and as an added bonus the rotation of the grill mesmerizes my dog. Give this one a try I'm sure you will like it.

This is only the second product I've bothered to review, despite purchasing on average over two products per week on Amazon. I do, however, appreciate all those who do write reviews and wish I had the energy to pitch in. BUT this product is so wonderful, I just had to write. It gives off plenty of heat to raise the temperture in my bedroom, which is approximately 20+' by 20+' and has a little alcove, which I use as a study EVEN WITH THE BEDROOM DOOR OPEN as it is now.

I have a thermostat in the room and this little space heater can raise the temperature from 64 to 70 degrees and keep it there. It does not have an odor that is annoying and most important, it does not get hot to the touch ANYWHERE and is quite simple to operate. Some reviews say their unit failed in 3 or so months (or even in a shorter time). Well, all companies produce a lemon or two. I've only had this product about 3 weeks and mine's fine. But even if it fails in a month or so, I'd buy another next year. At this price, for this performance, it's worth it.

This is the perfect size for a single grilled sandwich or a sole boneless chicken breast or file for one.

Other than now being totally depressed over the fact that I apparently eat alone way too often, I have to rave that this pan cooks well and heats evenly, cleans up with little muss (use a non-abrasive cleanser, very hot water and a dish brush for anything trickier than grease) and stores virtually anywhere.

Another bonus for this is that it makes perfect, square crepes -which I use instead of boxed pasta tubes (a motherland no-no) when making fresh manicotti.

Which I also seem to do in great number, surprisingly often for a guy who admittedly makes a regular habit of the Lonely Gal Meal Alone in the Dark.

Fits over two burners on my stove just right and give equal and consistent heat coverage. Nice drain rim so that when you use the grill area the meat stays up off the heat and doesn't stick, as well as the meats fat is drained off to the sides.

Flip the cooker over and you have a flat surface that accommodates six nice size pancakes and four eggs well. Also can be used for making crepes I discovered.

If you can fit it into your budget buy two. This enables you to cover four gas burners on a stove and while you are cooking up bacon sausage etc on one you can be doing a bushel of pancakes on the other.

Have also used one as a heating plate. I simply place one over two gas burners and heat to hot, then turn down to low or warm so that it keeps the griddle-grill a consistent degree and then I set three containers I have vegetables, pasta etc in, on it and this keeps the food warm but doesn't overcook or burn the food.

I have used the grill side several times since purchasing it and am VERY pleased. It is a little pricey but it also has a coating that a Lodge or other cast iron grill/griddles don't have.I also believe the grill marks are superior to other grills. Tough to fit into the budget but I think it was worth it! First of all, for those people that are getting rust spots after washing, you must dry your griddle by reheating it until any excess water evaporates. I then rub a light coat of oil into the pan when it's still slightly warm. If you have the rust spots just wash the grill with a brush and follow the drying and oiling process I explained above. You should quickly build a nice patina to your grill. It should only take a few times of doing this because of the enamel type coating. BEFORE using this grill I washed it in VERY hot tap water with a brush to remove any coating that was put on at the time of manufacturing. This should also help with sticking food. I have also coated the pan heavily with oil the first few uses. I've grilled delicate fish and shrimp with no sticking. After it becomes somewhat coated you can build on this by just wiping it with a damp cloth and drying on the burner. At this point any sticking should be minimal. Don't use anything abrasive. I've had this griddle for about a month, and am quite pleased overall. It is heavyweight, and has a tough black enameled finish that quickly builds up a slight seasoning (oily film) within a few uses. Foods stick much less than then would on a raw cast iron grill. It does a great job cooking pancakes, bacon, or grilling hamburgers or steak.

The only negative qualities are that it could use a larger reservoir for grease, and it would be handy to have larger handles if you need to pick it up hot. But these negatives do not outweigh its use.

Living in an apartment doesn't allow me the space to have the luxury of being able to grill foods and I love grilled food. So finally I broke down and put in an order for the Le Creuset reversable grill. I finally received this wonderful reversable grill just a couple of days ago and since then I have been grilling like crazy. The heavy weight of the reversable grill remains in place over the two burners while I am flipping the food which is quite helpful. I also like how the fat of the meat drips down to the side, meaning that the food isn't drowning in its own fat which a lot of health conscious people can appreciate. I just discovered that when cleaning the grill, it helps that it is under running water and/or soaking in the sink filled with soapy water but you have to wait until it has cooled off from being over the hot stovetop. I don't mind so much about cleaning it because I honestly love grilling food and everything else doesn't matter to me. I haven't used the griddle side yet but when I do it will be so much more convient than using a couple of pans to cook my eggs and bacon.

This is a very good grill. It heats and holds heat very well, and does a pretty good job of heating evenly, although there are "hot spots" on the grill in between the 2 burners.

A tip from my wife for cleaning is to put a damp paper towel over the grill when you finish cooking, and after it has cooled a little and letting it set. It makes clean-up a lot easier.

It was easy to put together. It is at a good hight. It puts out a lot of heat. But, it is difficult to keep the burner operating at low flame height. You cannot just leave it on a low cooking level as the flame may blow out with little air current.

Works well enough for heat output, but the wind deflector included doesn't do much. It could be used in light winds at high outputs, but for during low output even light winds can cause you to lose the flame. All in all it is still better than the cheap camp burners you can buy at your local store in every means.

Nostalgia Electrics Pop-Up Hot Dog Toaster

When I saw this product I had to have it. This is the most amazing thing since hot water as far as I am concerned. I got it the day after I ordered it. After reading all the negative reviews I could find here is how I approached using the product.

1) Smokes during first few uses-I turned the knob to 5 and let it perform a burn-in cycle with nothing in it. Instructions say to not operate without at least 1 hotdog and bun. But in my opinion if it can't survive 1 cycle it would need to be returned as POS. Burn-in worked fine and it did smoke like a bingo player at first, then it stopped. Subsequent uses were smoke free with no odor/taste effect on the food.

2) Bun burning along edges-Yes it burned the buns along the edge and was heavier from the top of the toaster down. But after a bit of carbon buildup on the inside it no longer burns the bun and I do cook on number 5. The buns need to be regular sized. I also noticed that most buns, I tried 3 brands, are baked/sliced in such a way that one end is more tapered and I place them into the toaster tapered end up.

3) Hotdog expands in holder and is hard to get out-Yes it does on fat hotdogs. Also over cooking causes the hotdogs to split as I discovered when working out the best cook setting. Skinny ones like Oscar Mayer or Nathans or Hebrew National have no problem. I tried 6 different brands all beef brands including Ball Park and Bar S and some generic brand. The BallPark were the worst case of the bubch but I got them out without too much carnage. Overall they all cooked great at setting of 5. I prefer my hotdogs either hot or cold but not in between.

4) Cheaply made with plastic-It was only $20. However the plastic housing makes it cool to the touch. Key points are it works very well and is easy to clean up.

In conclusion, I think my organs are failing from all the hotdogs I've eaten the last couple of weeks. Everyone who sees the toaster has a big inner child smile moment and has to try it. It works as advertised. It's inexpensive and its color matches my coffee maker.

Works great. Will cook hot dogs from done, to burnt! Don't believe the negative reviews, this toaster is a must have. It toasts the buns evenly on one side(the side which touches the hot dog)and it does so very quickly and without making a mess!

I'm loving my new gadget! My kitchen is done in a retro diner style and this fits in perfectly. I had read some of the other reviews before I purchased this and I can agree only with the excellant reviews. This is great for days I don't want to fire up our huge outdoor gas grill or when my daughter has a house full of her friends over. They love this as much as I do. Its something they can do themselves and have a ball cooking. Clean-up is a breeze. The crumb catcher/drip tray is a huge help. Okay, I know it is cheesy but I wanted one of these since I saw one in SkyMall years ago for $100. Obviously, the price is much better here. It is every bit as bright red as the picture suggests. It has 5 settings on the timer. I like my hot dogs a little crispy so I usually cook everything on 4, then take the buns out and put the dogs in for another round of 3-4, usually flipped over and/or rotated 90 degrees. The buns mostly brown against the top, inside edges where they touch the element. It isn't really even so if you were thinking of a butter-toasted bun, think again. But they are nicely warmed up. (The inside of the bun just touches a flat plate. If it was V-shaped, it would work a lot better but if you are using large, fresh buns it might be too tight.)

The hot dogs themselves taste great and stay juicy. They do plump up so don't get any that are tight to begin with. The tiny little tongs they give you will just tear the end off if they plump too much. Also, the first time or two that you use it, expect some smoke and smell. Everything cooked and tasted fine, though.

The only real con is that the cord wrap points on the bottom are too shallow to wrap it twice around. It is enough to shorten the exposed cord if you want to keep it out but not enough for the entire cord if you plan on storing yours between uses as I do.

Fun and easy, and way better than the microwave...recommended

We LOVE that this makes AWESOME Grill marks on the hot dogs!!! I read all the reviews before purchasing and I am shocked that no one mentioned this! And this is not simply a hot dog Heater Upper LOL! There is a BIG difference in using this versus a micowave. For one, THE Grill Marks LOL Sorrythat just tickled me silly and I am in love with that feature alone :) The hot dog does not get "rubbery" like they can in the microwave. My son did that (this was one of his birthday presents) The cheese oozed all out and made an interesting mess at the bottom and was a pain to clean :( so do not do what we did.. Also, bratwurst in general tend be much larger and they will not eject properly. Stick to regular or bun length hot dogs as this machine was designed to cook them perfectly. Just as the other reviewers have stated your toaster will smoke the first 2 or 3 times. I do not recommend eating a hot dog made in the toaster the first 2 times at allas it will be infused with the permeating smell of burning plastic. Yep. That is what it smelled like the first few times. Knowing this in advance(thanks to the Amazon reviewers here) we placed a hot dog and bun (just one) in the toaster and set it to low and ran the toaster 3 times. We then threw that hot dog away. Next, we loaded her up with two and turned the setting to 5 and honestly, it was like eating a hot dog at a baseball game. It was WAY better than if I had micwaved it or baked it in the oven or simmered it in a saucepan on the stovetop. This gift was supposed to be for my sonbut it is so awesomethat even though I normally do not eat hot dogsWell, I

have found myself indulging in one too many. I am VERY impressed and happy with this purchase. Because this one was

Charcoal Companion Cast Iron 8-3/4-Inch by 4-1/2-Inch Rectangular Grill Press

I don't know if this grill press is the best out there. It's the first I've owned. I can say it's been a pleasant surprise. It's hefty, solid and has large surface area. It works great to flatten bacon, and speeds up cooking burgers. It fits well in a large pan or cast iron skillet. Today I needed to press the water out of some tofu to fry it, and the grill press is perfect for it. I think this is the kind of item that will have more and more uses as time goes by.

My only complaint, the handle is on a screw, and loosens from time-to-time, requiring a few turns of a screwdriver to tighten back up. Otherwise I like and recommend this press.

Indeed, one of the few that do not have a screw going through the casting and one of the heaviest, as they make them now i.e. good for bacon, but not for the thick cuts not enough weight.

Well-assembled, but with poor casting. Nowhere near smooth, so meat will stick to it.

Honest 3/5. Probably, excellent for bacon, not so great for steaks.

Bayou Classic Dual Burner Outdoor Patio Stove

I purchased this unit for homebrewing. For the first 30 minutes, this thing rocked. I turned it off to add some ingredients, and now it putters out a flame. If I turn on both burners, it pretty much stops working because the flames go out. I have been working for 55 minutes to bring 5 gallons of liquid to a boil. I am at 190F. I will up the stars if Bayou Classic is able to correct the problem, but for now I am less than impressed.

I called Bayou Classic to receive a new regulator. The person on the phone was very friendly and said one would ship right away. It has been more than two weeks and I am still waiting. I called the 800 number and was sent to a voice message instructing me to call another number. I have had this product almost 30 days without a sucessful use. I might just ship it back.

I finally spoke to someone at Bayou Classic two weeks ago. I was told the regulators had just come in and one would ship the next day. I am still waiting for my part. I have been trying to reach Bayou Classic via phone all morning, and I only get a busy signal. I would not recommend buying the company's product. The people seemed friendly, but the company has failed to deliver a replacement part within 6 weeks.

Amazon customer service was nice enough to send me a replacement burner. As always, I think Amazon customer service is great, but I am still not impressed with Bayou Classic. I would not buy its products again.

This really needs to be a 1 star review. I received my replacement unit and tested it. The gas line had a leak in it. So you are not surprised, it says Made in China. The regulators Bayou Classic received from the manufacturer are bad. If you've read this far, I should note that I still have yet to receive my replacement gas regulator from the company after 6 weeks. Amazon is refunding me because this product is junk. Do not buy Bayou Classic!

In doing my best to be fair, I received the replacement regulator today. It's too bad I shipped the product back for a refund 10 days ago. I wish Bayou International would have just said there was a backlog on this item the times I called. Although, nearly 8 weeks is a pretty long time to wait for a replacement part.

This is a great cooker. My husband wanted one that had two burners and no wind guards. Saw this and the price was great. We cooked a boiler of shrimp on one side and a boiler of potatoes and corn on the other. Worked wonderful. It was sturdy and just what he wanted. I would highly recommend this cooker. I don't think you will be disappointed in it.

First of all I'll throw in a plug for Amazon....we have purchased from them several times in recent years and have always been happy. We received our table in super fast time. It works great with my new cast iron reversible griddle #7428 28". My only regret is that I didn't know about the 3 eyed unit at the time I purchased it. Although it is still great I wish the legs were more sturdy and about a foot longer. I am a short 5'3 and we still had to build a rise to set in on. The legs seem a little flimzy but still work well as long as you are careful. I had to contact theBayou company as one of the controls didn't work but they were great and the piece arrived UPS fast in about two days. I would buy this all over again.

After using for a while I will add that we have had no problems..although I have never felt that the legs were sturdy enough nor long enough; we have had no problems. Just a warning...be very careful ...especially is there are children around. This is no toy. This grill gets really hot and I do worry about the stability of those legs.

Not bad for the price. I bought mine directly from somewhere else back then. It's really meant to be outdoors. I had mine for more than five years. The only maintenance you need to do is cover the regulator assembly to prevent rain water to get in and try not to get the burner wet with oil bec. it's going to be rusty.
