Lasko 3637 Remote Control Air Flexor Floor/Wall Mount Fan, Black

A friend recommended a Vornado, and I seriously considered one, but they are all really expensive. The models I looked at were the 630 and 733. I decided to give this Lasko a try, given that the stated capabilities are about the same (circulating air up to 70+ feet away), but the price is lower. It also has a safety shut-off fuse integrated into the plug, push button controls, a seven hour timer, and a remote, all of which the Vornados lack.

This fan does circulate air pretty well in a medium sized room. It reaches up to a second-floor loft even on Low, although I find Medium is more effective. On High, the fan sounds a bit loud. The first time you turn it on after unplugging it, it will default to the highest fan speed, but it will conveniently remember your last setting if you leave it plugged-in. Overall, I'm very pleased with this fan.

I wanted to know some technical information when I was looking into these fans, so if you're interested here is what I learned:

The Vornado 630 is a 9.38" diameter fan and on High is rated at 331 CFM (cubic feet per minute), and as of this writing it costs 30% more than the Lasko on Amazon. The Vornado 733 is a 12" diameter fan that is rated at 583 CFM on High. The 733 has a fixed plastic frame that basically allows it to point in just three fixed positions. As of this writing it's twice as expensive as this Lasko on Amazon. It does have the virtue of being made in USA, though, whereas both the Vornado 630 and Lasko are made in China. By comparison, the Lasko 3637 is a 10" diameter fan that is rated at 787 CFM on High. The Lasko also happens to use about 5% less electricity than the Vornado 733 on High and is slightly more efficient (CFM per Watt) than either Vornado. All specs are directly from the respective manufacturers.

Also, I should note that the the description on this Amazon product page and the Lasko website refer to a removable front grill on this fan, which led me to believe that the grill would come off easily with the removal of a couple of clips, like on the Vornados. Not so. The grill is removable for cleaning, but it requires the removal of 7 recessed screws.

Finally, the remote is IR and requires direct line of sight, but it works at great enough distance that I can control the fan--positioned down in the living room--from up in the loft, which I really appreciate. It appears to be a standard Lasko remote that will probably operate any Lasko fan. As noted on the Amazon product page, the remote uses two AAA batteries that are not included.

I do not like a fan to blow in my face or the bed skirt and curtains ..this fan you can tilt it up to just calculate the air ..I would say on Low it cools the room by 10 degrees ..the remote is great ..I get hot during the night I can just turn it on with out having to get out of bed ..I have had it now for about 2 months and so far I like it ..great fan

Bought one for each side of our bed! We both like white noise and these will provide that, could be a little louder but fair deal for the price. Love that both remotes work on both fans! If we get five years then we are happy!

I bought it to circulate hot air from my living room wood burning stove. However, being in the living room, I hoped it would have been quieter. Even on low, it is too loud for the living room, unless you have the stereo/TV turned up loud. Originally, I had the fan mounted to the ceiling. Then I moved it to the floor behind the wood stove trying to shield the sound. That's were it stays. Not convenient but better than nothing.

Apart from the noise, I can report the fan appears to be well built with a nice design. If noise is not an issue, I can certainly recommend this fan it you want to really move some air. Low is pretty strong and high is, well, very high. The remote works as advertised, but I wish it had a longer timer option; 4 hours is tops.

Charcoal Companion Mini Burger "Sliders" Grilling Set

I really like this little getup. I think it would be good for people with children. Very easy to use. I'm not a fan of huge hamburgers. Cut 2 or 3 little buns out of one big bun. Quartered a piece of cheese, put ketchup, mustard and a pickle on each. Very easy and yummy.

Used this item at the weekend and it was a great success! So easy to make the mini-burgers up beforehand in the plastic mold. The sliders cooked quite quickly (I guess because of their smaller size) on the grill and it was very easy to turn them over with just a flip. Everyone loved them and it meant everyone could taste the beef patty, turkey patty and chicken patty without having to choose just one. We used dinner rolls (potato bread) as buns & they were the perfect size. So glad I bought this. Great for kids too!

This slider griller works pretty good, but you have to be careful when turning it over as it does not stay attached very well. Also make sure that you spray it with cooking spray before using it. The patty making mold is a little small and somewhat difficult to get the meat out of, but other than that I am pretty satisfied with it and use it pretty often.

I could not wait to make mini burgers with this set. They turned out better than I expected. I only had hot dog buns, so I cut them in thirds and the burgers fit perfectly. Cleaning is easier if you spray basket with cooking spray before use. The burgers cook fast, but I may buy another basket since they are such a hit.

I took a chance buying a lesser known fire starter, it was less expensive than other fire starters and the 20 pack is the perfect size that I needed. I tested them before camping to see if they were waterproof, they lit really easily even after wet. They smell a little like a candle when burning and they burn't for a couple minutes longer than 12 they said it would. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a fire starter.

I have got to say I'm pretty impressed with this bag. I have a 10" Lodge camp oven and was worried about the legs punching holes, but the bottom has padding in between the inner and outer layers so it's really not a problem. I am not only able to put in my oven, but also some of the objects that are necessary to go with it. The handles are of tough webbing. I'm quite satisfied, especially at the price.

Lodge Logic Round Grill Press w/ Cool Grip Handle

This is well made and the only negative aspect is its size. It is only 7 inches. I've been looking for at least a 9 inch bacon press and thought the ad said this was 9 inches, but I was mistaken.

The pros of this item is it has a flat bottom making it easy to clean. Also, you can remove the handle if you wish to ad to clean up the screw holes easier. I wonder if anyone will ever make one of these with a "flat" bottom that is larger than 7 inches.

Headboard Panel with Scrolled Metal Accents in Olympus Brown - Sorrento

Just got this headboard in the other day. It was delivered from the manufacturer and there were no assembly instructions and only about 5 screws. One thing about the headboard that you can't see well in the picture is that the wood at the top of the posts is covered in a fake marble overlay. The pretty wood "carvings" on the headboard are plastic pieces that are painted brown. Overall, it's a product that looks nice, but it's not high quality. I can't comment on how it holds up on my bed because I still don't know how to assemble it.
