We go camping a lot and making smores and toasted marshmallows is always part of our ritual and was delighted find to buy these. We go all out camping with too many luxuries (movie projector and screen, inflatable couch -not really roughing it) so between a family 5 and camping and food our car is packed!! What we do is put all of our camping gear in a large cooler and then empty the cooler and the put drinks/food and ice in it. We had the long Coleman forks but they didn't fit in the cooler == other BBQ forks on Amazon were more for hot dogs only and too wide to ensure that two prongs would pierce marshmallows. These Cooking Concepts seemed to be an ideal item for an unmet need. We go ours from joe or john bargains on Amazon and they arrived quickly and seem to fit the bill -the ones I got are about 10 or so inches collapsed as the picture shows and about 24-28 inches extended which is safe and longer than our old forks for the kids. The spacing between prongs were great for marshmallows and therefor would be good for hot dogs too. The different color collar also made it easy for everyone to know which was their fork. We've used them three times last summer and so far have held up pretty well. I read another reviewers' comment before buying and have to keep in mind these are like antennas with forks at the end of them and like extendable radio antennas you do have to handle with some care remind the kids! I also like that we can collapse them and keep them on the picnic table without worrying that someone will walk into them or poke their eyes out. Cleaning sticky marshmallows off them was a snap as we usually put the forks in a paper or plastic cup with 2-2 1/2 inches of water after use and let them sit overnight and they easily wipe clean with a paper towel the following morning. For the price of 4 sticks and convenience this was a nice find and at less $25 for four of these I feel I got my monies worth already. Others I've seen were almost the same price for just 2 forks. I see Amazon is sold out of these and will likely get more for next summer since my kids now bring their friends camping.

These sticks are horrible. They are cheap. Two of them broke the very first time we tried to use them. I only bought them a few weeks ago. I scrubbed and scrubbed the other two to get them clean. Nope. I actually scrubbed off the coating, they are so cheap. Going in the trash. I wish I could rate them no stars.

I like the color coding. As a vegetarian, I don't like my campsticks to get mixed up with a meat eater's stick.

Aside from the colors, it's an ordinary telescoping campstick fork. I like them, they're a lot easier than searching the woods for a good roasting stick.

These were a little flimsy, but work just fine.

Replacing old cookware that was sticking. So far it cooks really nice you don't need too much grease in it and it cooks really even.

I have got to say I'm pretty impressed with this bag. I have a 10" Lodge camp oven and was worried about the legs punching holes, but the bottom has padding in between the inner and outer layers so it's really not a problem. I am not only able to put in my oven, but also some of the objects that are necessary to go with it. The handles are of tough webbing. I'm quite satisfied, especially at the price.

Solar Cordless LED Grill Light

I use this unit a lot. It is bright, and never without power, hence the solar panel. I would recommend this unit to anyone with a grill. I always start grilling when it starts to get dark,wintertime, and always need a flashlight. Now I don't have that problem anymore. Not only that, but the color of the light give a better impression of when the meat is done.

One of my many hobbies is building custom BBQ pits. Some of these things are trailer mounted. A typical cookoff might start with set up in the late evening, cooking all night long (slow smoking a brisket is an 8 to 12 hour event!) and prepping for the judges around lunch time the next day. This light took care of one of my issues how to see inside the pit in the middle of the night without having to hold a flashlight or lantern in one hand. I clamp this light in place during the day and let the sunshine charge it up. (Alternately you can take the batteries out and charge them up at home with a standard battery charger.) At night I can turn the light on for a few minutes to check the temperature, swivel the light out of the way of the way door with the 18in flex neck, open up and check inside. My big pit is 30in in diameter and 48in long inside. Being able to turn the light to where ever I need it is great. It is bright enough to see what you're looking for but I gave it 4 stars because it wasn't quite as bright as I had hoped. Still works very well for its intended use and I would recommend it to anybody cooking out at night.

After four months the light has failed. Do not know why, since it was purportedly designed to work out of doors, but was forewarned by another reviewer that it can fail prematurely. That is now two of us. I intend to return/obtain refund. Two failures is too much. Mine does not get any rain whatsoever, so that is not the problem. Would not buy until their QC problems get solved, and how will you know?

The light is not bright enough and when I charged it hoping the light will get brighter, it never turned back on. Then I noticed it is made in China. No wonder! I have replaced it with normal energizer batteries but the light isn't as bright as I want it to be. I shouldn't have to replace the batteries if it is solar operated. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Using a camper LED headlight would work better than this! This doesn't even deserve a one star, but it is asking me to rate it. I give it a zero star in actuality.

I had great interest in this solar powered grill light, but its performance is so poor that it appears to be a total sham. The 're-chargeable' batteries that came with it would not charge in either of the 2 battery chargers I have (that charge all my other AA rechargeable batteries. However, even with good, fully charged AA batteries and 12 days in the bright San Diego sunshine, the light lasted less than 4 minutes and would not re-light, It is no bargain for sure and I am returning it as soon as the postal holiday ends.

This "long" model is a perfect fit for my new model Weber Genesis (with front controls and burners running front-to-back.) Sits flush with the top of the flavorizer bars.

I was fortunate to have chosen the E330 model grill with the "Sear Station" burner. We bought two of theses smoker boxes and place one on each side of the sear burner. Using the sear burner only, set on low the grill maintains perfect barbeque temperature and the boxes provide smoke for a good amount of time.

As a true barbeque fanatic it's hard to admit that we achieved real slow-smoked barbeque from a gas grill!

I've always used charcoal, just recently purchased my dream gas grill. Honestly, I missed the smokey flavor, so I purchased this unit quite a bit less than the one that Weber offers. Used it for the first time last night. I now LOVE my gas grill, I get that great smokey flavor with this unit. It did catch fire, but that was my fault for not soaking my chips long enough but I poured a little water in the top and all was good. Highly recommend this for the price and the performance. I'll try and post back after I've had it for a year, to update it longevity. The only thing I would change would be to by the shorter version, on my Weber I have to lift both grates to open the smoker box. I should have purchased two shorter versions and then I would only have to lift one grate to refill.

I've been looking to buy a smoker box for years but they were always a little too pricey. This one was at such a reasonable price that I was concerned that it would be flimsy. But it's not. It's sturdy and fits my grill perfectly.

Load it up with chips, and you can get 30 minutes or better of heavy smoke. I use it on a Weber Silver Genesis A. The V shape lets it sink in between flavorizor bars. Great design, well made.

My old rectangular box smoker (from K-mart) finally rusted through after two years of use. I got this model for three particular reasons: a) It is stainless steel construction (hope this lasts longer); b) The top is hinged for easy load and cleaning; and c) As the previous reviewer stated the price was right.

I bought two since I do a dry rub and slow smoke (3+hrs) pork ribs placing one smoker on each end of the BBQer. The bigger model (there are two sizes) is too long to drop the smoker in-between the two end burners, but this turned out fine since it lays on top and in-between the two end burners at an angle with the top holes pointing toward the center directing the smoke to the meat from two directions.

The result so far is some fine slow smoked ribs and chicken.

Time will tell how long these will last so far so good eats.

Cuisinart Outdoor Grilling Steak Thermometers, Set of Four

These thermometers seem to be essentially the same as others I've purchased in the past from different vendors. I wonder if they are all being OEMed from the same manufacturer but with different printing on the dials to customize them for the seller.

One thing that not all the sellers tell you (but Cusinart, to their credit, does in the included instructions) is that these thermometers are not safe to use on your grill in the manner you would expect and desire. Instead they make a big deal about them being dishwasher safe! What is not mentioned on the web page is that you must insert and immediately remove the thermometers once you've taken a reading. You are not supposed to leave them in the meat while it is on the grill and the lid is closed. Apparently these "Outdoor Grilling" thermometers can't take the heat in a grill. I have used another version of these sold under the Taylor brand without knowing about this restriction and they did indeed stop working after a few sessions of being left in the meat while it was grilling.

So, if you find it convenient to insert these thermometers into hot steaks and them remove them (they are also now hot) after a minute or so then you might find them handy. And this particular set of 4 I purchased was reasonably accurate or at least consistent (three read essentially the same in 140 degree water and one was a slight bit low but probably still useable for this application)

I wish I could find somemone who made a grill thermometer that could actually stand up to the heat in a charcoal or propane grill. If that's what you were looking for, then you might want to keep looking...

I rated these thermometers 1 star but would prefer to rate them no stars, if Amazon would let me, since the gauges didn't even move. We had steaks on the grill and we knew they were near done. Put the Cuisinart steak thermometers in them and after 30 second no reading. We put our old digital fork type thermometer in them and they were done. Go figure? These steak thermometers aren't even worth the time you spend thinking about buying them. Horrible product!

Used these twice just to make sure. The temp does not reflect the doneness of the meat. Thermometer read MW and the meat was still rare.

I wish there was a ZERO rating!

These thermometers all show a different temperature with my hot water test. (So..which one is correct)?

They are very slow to attain their temperature reading, so while you are waiting for the reading, your steak will already be in the next done-ness state.

NOT GOOD, but I suppose you could develop a future temperature prediction plan.

When a NAME BRAND like Cuisinart moves to CHINA, expect the worse possible quality.

I can't think of anything to do with these things except toss 'em.
