West Bend Grill/Griddle

First let me say I eat a lot of pancakes. I mean like everyday, sometimes more than once a day. This grill is the best pancake maker I could ever imagine. Except just one thing...for pancakes you need to prop up the back 1/4" (I use a pair of bath tiles) because the grill is designed so fat will run into the rear mounted drip tray, but you don't want your cakes doing that. When propped up, the grill is flat as a pancake (pun intended) and your cakes will be perfectly round every time. The grill heats fast and the heat is uniform. No stick surface takes a few batches to get broke in, then it works good. I leave the thermostat in one position and just plug it in and out. It's super consistent that way. Overall great product. Bought at Target for a few bucks more that Amazon. No big deal...got to see the runner ups in person. Oh yeah, the surface flips over for cooking meat. Now I just hope it lasts a long time.

I purchased this grill/griddle to replace my aging 9 x 15 Teflon-coated Presto griddle. I wanted a larger size, a better nonstick surface, and more even heating.

This product performs the second and third requirements well. However the 11.25 x 18 plate size is misleading; the actual cooking surface is 10 x 16.5. I was able to cook 9 slices of bacon comfortably (perhaps 1 or 2 more crowded), but only 6 slices of French toast (same as my old Presto).

My surface thermometer indicated a temperature of 325° when the griddle was set for 300°, but this amount of inaccuracy is not unusual in griddles and skillets in this price range.

It is a nice looking grill/griddle but it does not stay hot very well. I was looking for a good griddle to replace my mother-in-laws because she loves the one she has but it is very old and starting to fall apart. The only problem is finding a griddle that will hold its temperature well. She uses it a lot to make tortillas but finding one that does the job is proving tough.

Looked it over pretty good I thought when I received it in the mail, but missed that the grease drain spout area was broken. Gave it as a Christmas gift to my daughter and now hoping we can return it even though it is over the 30 day return window. We'll see.

This grill works fine cooking most items, like bacon, eggs, beef steak, fish fillets, etc.

The one item it does not cook well is chicken breasts.

I would buy this grill/griddle again.

I bought this Griddle for my wife back in July of 2002, it warped really bad after only a few week's of use! It's been put away ever since but this morning i found it & was going to fix breakfast for my wife & me, i guess i had forgotten how bad it was. I set it on the stove & it is so warped i could hold one corner of it down & slip my hand under the oppisite corner, this made me so mad i just had to tell other's about this product! I think i'll give it to my dog to eat out of. George in MO.

I bought this griddle after borrowing my friend's Cuisinart double burner griddle in April. I liked that griddle so much that I tried to get one for myself. Unfortunately, I could not find the older model anywhere so I bought this one. This current model just doesn't seem as sturdy as the original nor of the same quality. I'm disappointed.

I was looking for a big griddle I could more than one pancake (or crepe) at a time. This fit the bill. I have other Cuisinart pots and pans which are awesome, and so I figured this would be pretty good. Given that the negative reviews were both very old and kind of inarticulate, I did not worry about them. I briefly looked at the "green" one offered by Cuisinart, but the negative reviews on that one were pretty clear, plus that one was smaller than this one.

I have a ceramic-top range (a Kenmore something-or-other), and this thing fits perfectly over a front and rear burner. I've cooked a bunch of crepes using this griddle, and it works great, even on the flat top range; it doesn't matter that the bottom of the pan doesn't rest directly on the burner, it's actually a plus because the heat has a chance to get transferred to the entire bottom of the pan.

I haven't noticed any warping. I will definitely buy another one of these when I wear this one out.

I was looking for a griddle for a large stovetop and this was the largest I could find.

It worked well for the first use but after only three uses the griddle warped and now will not sit flat on my stovetop.

For the price I paid for this, it should not have warped.

We have a 36" jenn air BBQ from lowes and this fits like it was made for it.

I wasn't sure about the color at first but it actually fits in pretty well.

I'm surprised at the high quality, most covers are thin and seems like they won't last long in the sun.

I have the feeling this cover will hold up very well long term which is well worth the extra few dollars.

Seems like the cover would fit a grill that was a little larger but the fit is still very secure.

Even though this says it fits up to a 37" grill, I decided to try to see if the small size would fit my 38" Urban Islands grill from Costco (same as the Bull Brahma grill). It does! If I ordered the medium, it would have been way too big. I think this fits my 38" grill because it must not be as tall as other grills as there is still a fair amount of room in height. The only disappointing feature was that it did not have toggles in order to tighten, but the back is sinched so that it stays on the grill well (it also has two buckle straps to fasten onto the grill handle). Overall, the price is great and it is made of a great material. It is two-toned with the top being a light tan and the bottom that sits in front of the grill control panel in a darker tan.

I've had the cover now for several months. The material appears sturdy and well crafted. The colors have already faded or discolored in the direct sun, so we'll see how the rest of the materials hold up during the summer.

I just wish the bundle was more generous as these are disposable and it's not the cheapest thing when you grill all the time and can go through these in one weekend. Used these with shrimp, asparagus, cauliflower each time with huge success. Love the ease of clean up, don't love the price. Consider doubling the quantity. These grilling trays serve their purpose well for foods that tend to stick to the grilling surface and/or fall apart, such as certain types of fish, etc. One can also place the included plastic cover under the grilling tray to transport the food from the outdoor grill to the table.

The drainage slits in the valleys of the pan have sharp edges exposed on the bottom of the pan, so when I picked it up I cut my fingers!!

We were really looking forward to having one of these. We have the Gold Star company here in Denver, which has been producing hotdogs and sausages here since 1936 and they make great products. So we used our credit card points and some cash to buy this roller grill from our favorite place to get good deals, here at Amazon.com. It sounded easier than turning hotdogs and sausages on a pan. It is. And they said "easy to clean". Great! Well, not so much. The first time we tried it, it got stuff stuck to the rollers. I emailed the company and they said to use a wooden spatula to scrape off the rollers. But I thought, how do you clean the wooden spatula after that, and get this stuff out of it?

So I asked them again and they said to just spray the rollers with cooking oil. But it's too late for that, all this stuff is stuck to them. So I asked them again and they said to use a magic eraser to rub the stuff off the rollers. What?! I don't want magic eraser in my food!

So how exactly are they "easy to clean"? The rollers aren't removable, they have heating elements inside them for cooking.

We like the cooking that this machine does but still need to find a good way to clean the rollers, and if we had it to do over again, I don't know...

This item includes a poorly designed cover that does not fit properly and easily slides when the machine is hot. My cover slid off the back and shattered across the counter, sending tempered glass into everything, including food items. When I informed customer service asking for a properly designed replacement, they informed me that I would have to buy the very same cover at list price. No effort to solve the design problem.

This came on time. Was very easy to set up with my platform frame. Instructions were easy to read. Looks very nice and well made. Definitely worth the price. The only thing I had an issue with was, seems they were missing 2 of the larger screws for the headboard. Hence the 4 stars. I will be contacting Amazon customer service to see if they can ship the additional screws. Otherwise, it looks very good. Was perfect for my 14" lucid mattress.

Better Houseware Magnetic Hook Rack, Stainless

This set of magnetic hooks will not work on textured metal surfaces. I bought it to use on my Fridge (with a textured surface) and with any weight at all it just slides to the floor. I bought a set of individual "rare earth" magnet hooks that are 1/4 the size of the magnets on this thing and each of them will hold four-times the weight (for less than 1/3 the money for 8 hooks). If you are looking to mount this on a smooth surface it MIGHT work, but I wouldn't take the chance if I were you.

I ignored the reviewers that said this slid down the side of their textured fridges and bought it anyway. Unfortunately it does slowly slide down the side of our slightly textured fridge. The magnets just aren't strong enough. I ended up putting a second (stronger) refrigerator magnet right under each of the magnets on this rack. The extra magnets keep the rack from sliding down.

I bought my first Magnetic Utensil Hook when I moved in with my daughter. Her refrigerator was next to the stove and when I saw the magnetic utensil holder at a local store, I bought it. I wasn't sure that the magnet would be strong enough to hold a bunch of utensils but it does and I have two utensils on each hook. I also bought one for my son-in-law for his BBQ and he loves it.

Nordic Ware Pro Cast Flat-Top Reversible Grill Griddle

I don't usually review kitchen products, but am making an exception in this case.

I discovered stovetop grills 10 years ago at Costco, a $20 reversible non-stick of some sort, that was ok but tended not to be non-stick after a couple of uses, and pretty quickly wore out. I'd buy a second, then a third. Anyway, long story short, I went through several grills over the years and was really frustrated and ready to give up.

Then a few months ago I invested in this Nordic Ware grill and wow, you really do get what you pay for. I've used this little sucker constantly since then and it is still in pristine condition, nothing and I do mean nothing sticks, and cleanup is a dream. Barring natural disaster or an attack by the blob (ooops, my age is showing), I think this one will outlast the cockroaches!

No complaints about the flat side. It's flat and it distributes heat well. I bought it more for the ridged side though, ad that's where this product loses me. Food gets stuck in the ridges and just won't come off. Plus the coating is starting to flake off, so I dont want to cook on it anymore.

I use this grill mainly for pancakes and eggs, it is heavy and does not warp like lighter weight grills. Pancakes come out great because the grill heats evenly. This is a very good product and it was also a terrific price.

Non stick coating coming off after second use. More difficult and time consuming to clean than the calphalone hard anodized grill pan I bought it to replace. This is just a poorly made piece of junk, don't waste your money.

I bought this so I could grill inside. The product comes with no care instructions at all, ie; how to wash it, pretreat it with oil?, etc. It worked well for pancakes on the flat side but the grill side did not work well. I tried to grill some meat, it smoked like crazy and set off the fire alarm! When I went to wash it with mild soap, gentle sponge and warm water the non-stick began to come off. Also, the grill left marks on my stove that have yet to come off. I wouldn't suggest this grill to anyone!

I was excited to see this on sale on Amazon, thought the days of struggling with twine was over, after all, how easy would this be? Not so. Found out very quickly that the ends do not stay together. More often than not, they'd come undone during the baking process. I went through 2 chicken roasting experiences to finally give up using this.
