The wood chunks shipped and arrived very quickly. The packaging was good and the wood chunks were in a very durable sealed plastic bag so I know that they are fresh. Smoked out a Boston Butt with the chips and got awesome flavor. Just wish there were more of them. Packaging seemed to take away from the amount of chunks and for the price I really wanted to get another smoke session out of the chips. However....great flavor and fresh.

Bbq Guys Propane Guage/Leak Detector

This product should be labeled as a "Mr Heater" propane guage. It does not measure the level of liquid propane in your tank. However, it does measure the ability of the vaporized flow of propane gas to keep up with the usage of your propane appliance. The red, yellow, and green indicator disk on the circular dial makes it easy to see how your propane use is doing before you completely run out. Its debatable if you need to know "exactly" how much liquid propane is still in the tank. The vaporization indicator on this guage has been useful for me.

Lasko #2500 12" Oscillating Table Fan

I had bought a Hunter table fan, only to be completely disappointed to find that not only was it made in China, but it was difficult to disassemble for cleaning, and the blades won't start to spin unless switched to HIGH (and even then it sometimes needs a push or several to start turning). So, I set out on a quest to find a fan that is made in the US, easy to disassemble, and works properly. I stumbled across reviews on the 'net which indicated that not only are Lasko fans still made in the US, but this particular fan is easy to disassemble. So I ordered two from Amazon. They arrived in a matter of 3 business days. I am SO pleased with the fan! I put the first one together in about 1 minute, didn't even need the instructions (the other I'll just keep in the box until needed). The head doesn't tilt downward very much, I'd say only 5 or 10 degrees, but it tilts upward quite a bit farther than other fans I've owned, I'd guess somewhere between 30 to 40 degrees from level. It's very quiet other than the inevitable white noise of the fan blades pushing the air. I run my fan in the bedroom at night for the white noise and the air circulation, so it's probably on a *minimum* of 12 hours a day. I don't have any idea how long this fan will hold up to that kind of use. But I am so pleased to have something made in the US and fits all of the other criteria that I set out to find!!! I realize the "con" I mention is a little picky, it's really the only thing I noticed about the fan that wasn't pretty much perfect.

Now if it will only last for 25 years like the Sanyo desk fan I used to own... if it does, I'll probably be dead and the second fan will be brand new in a box on the shelves downstairs, so my family will inherit a brand new "old" fan LOL.

The quietness of my 10-year-old fan prompted my friend to ask me order her one. All the parts disassemble easily for total cleaning. A real workhorse; I leave it running 24/7 in summer.

This fan was reported to be very quiet and reliable, but after I put it together (not a hard task at all), it was considerably noisier than I had hoped. It was about as noisy as other small table fans I've bought. Not terrible, but certainly not the soft hush I had hoped for. The biggest problem was that the fan only worked on two of the three motor speeds!!! Although it created a strong breeze, the lack of quiet and the defective speeds don't make it a great bargain.

I bought this fan a year ago thanks to the great review by dontwannabeageek, who had the same basic criteria I did.

I wanted a fan primarily to use when I'm on the elliptical machine Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer, and also for use in the living room enabling me to use the A/C less frequently.

Pros: It's super quiet, even on high (and I'm pretty sensitive to noise), moves enough air to keep me cool when exercising, it's easy to clean because the grille is removable, AND it's made in America. Yay! The neutral color makes it unobtrusive, and blends in with any decor. It's also light weight, so it's easy to move around, yet very sturdy. It oscillates and tilts up and down. It's exactly what I was looking for and has every feature I wanted.

Assembly Tips: The round part that screws down over the fan blades to lock them in is tightened counter-clockwise, which is backward from the usual way. Tighten till just snug, don't over tighten. Also, when attaching the grille, it helps to have a flat head/slot type screwdriver to push the tabs in, and also for removing the grille for cleaning.

Note: The year before I had purchased the Honeywell HT800 Super Turbo High Performance Fan, Black in white, and it was so noisy I couldn't stand it. I wish I had found the Lasko fan then!

Bottom Line: I love the fan so much, I bought a second one for the bedroom a few weeks later.

P.S. Usage Tip: I also got this remote switch Super Switch Wireless Remote so I could set the fan across the room, and be able to turn it on and off from the bed. Not out of laziness, but if halfway through the night you feel cold/hot, you don't have to rouse yourself out of bed, or disturb your partner. It would also be good for someone with mobility problems.

UPDATE 7/30/11 I have had these fans for 2 years now, and am just as happy with them now as when I wrote the original review. I have three of them now, one for the bedroom, one for the living room and one for the elliptical/exercising. LOVE!

Brushtech Drill Operated BBQ Grill Brush

This is junk! It lasted all of 3 minutes and I threw it away. A complete waste of time and money. And I was just trying to clean some oven grates from a used convection oven I bought on Ebay.

I used the product once. After, the first use, it was no longer a brush, but looks like a pencil. All the bristles are smashed into the center pole, rendering it useless. It did clean the first time, but is useless after that. If it was priced as a one time use I would have given it a better review.

Grill Life Basket With Detachable Handle

This grilling basket is easy to use and makes grilling bonless skinless chichen a breeze to cook without sticking. The removable handle lets me cook with lid closed.

Doesn't work as well as I'd hoped. The handle doesn't attach and detach easily on the hot grill. Since we want to keep smaller items from falling through the grill and to be able to close the grill lid during cooking, that made it less useful.

I bought this as a gift for an avid griller. First off, the handle was made the wrong way and was very difficult to open and close which lead to a burn. Second, the grid slots are too big and doesn't hold cut vegetables. The company itself was nice enough and gave me a refund for the item.

Camp Chef LX13 leg extenions for SHPRL stove, 13 Inch, Set of 4

Hey, I can't be critical about the extension legs, that I only got one of. Since the stove is the 4 legged Camp Chef single burner thing, I wouldn't know how to balance it correctly on it's only leg. But huzzah! to Amazon's customer service. I talked to an Andrea just today (2/22) and got wonderful help. After some clarification by me as to what I needed, she said the new legs would be sent out for next day arrival. I said I would be glad to send back the one lonely leg, as some poor sap may be holding 3 legs in his hand. But she would have none of it. So here I will be with a five legged stove. Nice to know I'll have a spare if I ever get a flat.

We have the Camp Chief Single Burner stove SHP RL. These legs extensions allow me to cook without putting the stove on a table. I use my stove for camping so without these legs it would be difficult to use the stove. I do not recommend using these legs extensions when using large pots like for (frying a turkey). Best of all they are easy to store.

On Camp Chef's website, they're a little unclear on which stoves this fits. I bought these hoping they'd fit my two-burner Explorer stove, but they're substantially thinner (approximately 1" diameter vs. the 2" legs on my stove). Oh well.

I started off giving this a 1 star because only 1 leg was received and after online chat with Amazon I got no where. I then called and received a very helpful young lady that helped me contact the seller and the other legs are on their way. Even with the one leg I can tell that the legs are sturdy and have a flaired top so the stove legs will not slip. I am going to use the Camp Chef stove and leg extensions for brewing beer. These extensions will raise up my kettle to a managable height. Thank you Amazon for helping me with getting my order straight.

Taylor Connoisseur Dial Grill Thermometer Stainless Steel

I purchased this item with some gift cards. It is really junk and I am sorry I ever purchased it. After one use it reads only 300 degrees, no more! The needle is exposed and not inside a sealed glass, so there is life span problems from the git-go. The package it comes in makes it appear to have a glass cover. Save your money and buy a useful item for your grill.

The first Taylor grill thermometer we had broke after a few uses. I decided that might have been a fluke, and gave it another try. We've used the new one once, so I can't comment on its longevity. However, although the description clearly states that there's a magnet on the back of the thermometer (and the first one we had DID have a magnet), it won't stick to anything else we have magnets on around the house!

I leave my thermometers on the BBQ grill start to finish so the glass covered ones just don't work for me as the glass becomes clouded even after 1 use.

This one tells me when the grill is at 550 to sear, and when the indirect heat is at 350. Ultimately the numbers become smoke covered, but even after they are not legible I know the top center is 300 and the top right 400 and it still registers accurately.

I just purchased my 2nd, and it works just as reliably as the 1st.

We grill everything: steak, fish, pork, veal, lamb, and depending on the thickness, temperature, time, and so on we were forever undercooking or overcooking (worse!) our dinner until we got one of these. Instead of having to slice into the meat (and having the juice run down into the burners) you simply "stab" it into the meat (fish, pork, etc.) and it "lights up" to tell you if you're almost there, there, or on your way to well done. It's sort of like a mood ring for food ;)

The settings are for beef, fish, and poultry but you can safely use the beef settings for other farm meats like lamb and pork.

We like it enough we have given it as gifts to friends who barbecue, and who we notice have a hard time getting the meat cooked "just right."
