Anolon Nouvelle Hard Anodized Nonstick 11" Square Griddle

Anolon Nouvelle Hard Anodized Nonstick 11' Square GriddleThis pan does not have the copper/aluminum/stainless steel bottom like the rest of the Nouvelle line.

The grill pan is the same.

I used this on my gas stove. It worked great. Very easy clean up. I would recommend this product. I almost didn't buy it because of neg reviews, but am glad I did.

We received our Griddle in early January about the time of the other post. We did not use our griddle until Feb. 22 and as stated by another reviewer this is not for induction cook tops. I am surprised that Amazon did not change/correct this listing in January. According to Anolon's web site they do NOT make a griddle suitable for induction and we are hoping that we can find another brand.

The quality of product are very poor. I suggest don't buy this product. A lot of smoke and very sticky when you grill the meat. Hard to clean and lose color.

I seasoned it with bacon and then cooked my some bugolgi from h-mart for thanksgiving.

It was awesome.

Hard to clean but all cast iron is.

Want Mongolian BBQ Grill - Cast Iron Discount?

Don't get me wrong, the grill is great the first few times you use it. Cleaning is easier the first few times due to the fact that its brand new. Once I tried cooking meats that were heavier on the marinade, the cast iron grill gets quite messy and hard to clean. After a few more uses,I should be somewhat slick but that comes with time.

Char-Broil Trentino Outdoor Fireplace with Removable Side Screens

Char-Broil Trentino Outdoor Fireplace with Removable Side ScreensI had seen this fireplace for sale elsewhere but Amazon had the best price and free shipping so I decided to buy it, despite reading some negative experiences of previous buyers. My experience was mixed. I received the fireplace with only PART of the assembly bolts. Once side of the fireplace had what I would call a crimp in it where the paint had come off. Near as I can tell, it probably happened not in shipping but perhaps in a warehouse as the product moved from manufacturer to storage. Anyway, I decided to return it and get another one instead of waiting 2 weeks for the bolts from Charbroil like one other customer. Here's where the positive part of the experience came. I went to Amazon customer service page and clicked a link for someone to call me. My phone rang IMMEDIATELY! I spoke with a very pleasant woman who promptly ordered another fireplace at no cost and free shipping. I got an email with a link to the returns page and was able to request UPS to pick up the other item so I did not have to deal with carrying it to the UPS Store. I received my other fireplace in 2 days WITH all the necessary bolts. However, this fireplace had a similar crimp in one of the sides, but otherwise it is fine. Since we like the design of the fireplace, we are planning on hammering out the crimp and re-painting that part. So in summary, Charbroil has some manufacturing issues with this unit, but Amazon rocks for customer service.

A friend of ours lent us their outdoor fireplace and we liked it so much that we tried to find it online. After a little searching, we found it on Amazon. We ordered it immediately, and the delivery came in about a week. It was fairly easy to assemble, and was very durable. I like it better than others, because all sides have removable screens, so everyone can play with the fire. The "only" critisism I have for it is that the fire-grate is fairly low, so it's difficult to put paper under it to light. Also, it's best suited for short logs, as there is a bar that crosses either end that limits the size that can sit on the grate itself. Otherwise, it's a well designed, and well thoughtout product.

I just recieved my Trentino fireplace. I recieved it in a pretty beat up cardboard box with lots of extra tape on it. This makes me believe it was opened before, or even returned before. When I opened it up screws and nuts fell from the box. Although they were all in there, they were just loose in the box. I thought, good everything will be alright. Well, the large base has a 2-3" dent in it that caused the paint to chip away. I put it together to see what it looked like and decided it wasn't worth the hassel of returning it and waiting for another one. The fireplace functions well. Like another review said, the removable screens don't firmly attach to the fireplace. It looks nice sitting far out in our yard with some adirondack chairs around it so I'm happy with it. I am just not pleased with Charbroil's flimsy packaging and the fact that Amazon would send such a beat up box with loose parts in it. My first bad experience with Amazon.

You have got to get this! We had had a similar item like this and used it almost everyday for the past 6 years when it started to show wear and tear. We looked around and nothing we saw could compare to this style and thats when my search started to find a close replacement. This is about as close as we could get. The design is fantastic! You have access through screens on all sides and it easily adjusts from a small fire to a roaring one. Also it is a snap to clean. We leave ours out all year, even through our harsh winters but we now cover it only to preserve it longer. If this one lasts as long as our old one we will be more than happy. Great buy, quality product, and free shipping. You can't go wrong.

This is not for a deck, or small space as it throws off a lot of heat and is heavy.

27" Long Heavy Duty Pizza Oven / Grill Wire Brush with Scraper * Commercial Grade *

27' Long Heavy Duty Pizza Oven / Grill Wire Brush with Scraper * Commercial Grade *This brush is certainly a good bang for the buck, but doesn't remove burned on stuff like my old stainless bristle brush did. On the other hand, its probably better for those of you that have enamel grills...

This is a nice brush that I'm using on my home grill. You'll need an Philip's Head screwdriver to screw the handle on to a pre-drilled hole.

I bought this for the long handle so I could work it over a hot grill. 27" is more than enough to keep my hand from burning.

A big step up from my puny Weber 6464 18-Inch Bamboo Grill Brush.

GrillPro 20620 Electric Push Button Igniter

GrillPro 20620 Electric Push Button IgniterI used the kit for putting in remote igniters on my brewing kettle. No more leaning over and trying to get a lighter in.

I had been looking for a retrofit kit to fit to my two gas rings and oven in the caravan and after much looking on the web came across the GrillPro.

I was a little worried about ordering from the USA but as it was via Amazon I thought I could not go wrong. Their service was very good and delivery was very fast with out hassle.

Yes, you need a little engineering knowledge to be able to fit to the gas rings, drilling a couple of holes etc and time to fit it to an exisisting system but well worth it in the end.

The gas rings and oven now light with out having to mess around with matches or pizeo lighters.

My wife is very pleased and that is a great plus point.

Buy GrillPro 20620 Electric Push Button Igniter Now

I bought this for use not as a replacement but to equip an old commercial gas griddle with push button ignitor. The only issue I had with it is that the wires connecting to the spark lead will arc through their insulation to nearby metal if that presents less resistance than arcing through at the end of the wire. All in all its well worth the money, would definitely recommend it

Compact. Replaced manual lighter in my RV gas range that my wife had difficulty operting. Good price and it works very well.

Want GrillPro 20620 Electric Push Button Igniter Discount?

I actually used two of these to convert a pilot lited gas range to a sparker lighted gas range and after MUCH adjustment and difficult arrangements I finally got them to work. Now it's working GREAT! No more matches and no more blown out pilot lites.

HOWEVER, let me assure you I am fully aware that I am using the igniter for a use it wasn't actually intended for but NONE of the problems I had have anything to do with that. The probes are mounted next to a gas burner just as they would be in a BBQ, the system is grounded just as it would be in a BBQ, and the Push Buttons are installed just as they would be in a BBQ. The problems came from the flimsly construction of the probe wires and connectors and the inadequate insulation around the wires. I had to make sure the wires remained free of any grounded parts in the range, even though the wires are insulated, or a spark would arc from the insulated wires to the grounded areas. Worse, the probes themselves would arc from the bottom of the probe, around the ceramic insulator, to the connector wire connector underneath the probe. I had to coat the ceramic insulators with silicon insulation at the base of the probes to prevent the arcing. I also added silicon to the insulated wires wherever I was unable to keep them sufficiently away from grounded areas. Once I overcame the frustration of all the extra mods and maneuvering, and got the igniters installed properly, they worked GREAT!!! My wife is a happy camper now that there is no more smell of gas when the pilot blows out, which happened often, and no more need to raise the range lid and relight the pilots. Also, the batteries seem to last forever but even when they're ready for replacement, it's an easy one minute process.

It's too bad GrillPro didn't spend an extra 50 cents or so on better insulation or this rating would be a five star.

Steven Raichlen Best of Barbecue Stainless Slider Press

Steven Raichlen Best of Barbecue Stainless Slider PressThis thing's well made. Solid feeling in the hand. Rubber non-slip grip. Squares are about 2" each (smaller than sausage patties). I think you could roll out your ground meat of choice, and just draw a knife across it at the desired size instead of being stuck with such small patties. Even for sliders, this thing produces TINY patties. It's well built, but seriously, for $10+, I'd save my money and spend it on something else. Will probably be sending this thing back.

Griddle-Q Griddle for BBQ Grills

Little Griddle GQ120 Griddle-Q Stainless-Steel Griddle for Gas Grills, Half SizeQuality product well made and designed! It won't rust like iron griddles. Easy to clean and use. This is my second Little griddle I have had a larger one for a year or more, I use this on my camping grill which is small and a larger one on my home grill.

I have been using this item for about the last six months about two to three times a week. I absolutely love it. It heats evenly and is my go to method now for frying bacon, burgers, buns and French toast. I like it so much I bought a second larger one this week so I could double my griddle space. The metal is extremely thick. It even survived falling a fall of about 6 feet on to my patio. A minor scuff on the corner was all there was. I highly recommend this griddle or any of the Griddle-Q (not Sizzle-Q) griddles.

Chipwood Picnic Rectangle Basket

Chipwood Picnic Rectangle BasketI have a terminal illness and I use this "tote" items from the kitchen to the livingroom (where I spend a great deal of time). It itsn't super sturdy so don't use it for heavy items or bang it around but to tote a few small items it has been great. I love it and it was just what i was looking for.

I was looking for a small picnic style basket to put a china tea set in for my granddaughter, and after looking at a number of them, I chose this one. It turned out to be the perfect size, and the basketry was well done. However, the hardware was very cheap, and one of the hinges didn't even have a pin in it. Not to be foiled (her birthday was within a couple of days and I didn't have time to look for anything else) I scrounged around and found a jewelry head pin to replace the hinge pin. We then gorilla glued all the screws holding the hardware, and wound up with a pretty sturdy little basket. In an ideal world, it would have been sent in perfect condition, but it was salvagable, and my granddaughter was delighted.

This basket was cheap and it is cheaply made. It will be fine for my Halloween costume. It would also work well for decorating a shelf or as a one time use gift basket or centerpiece. It is not fit for actual continued use. The frame is bent so I have to squish it into position and hold it there to allow the top to open. The reed is dry and delicate and will crack and break if flexed by continued use. It will probably be in tatters by the end of Halloween night, but that's okay. It will have served it's purpose.

Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker Smoker 22.5 inch

Weber 731001 Smokey Mountain Cooker 22-1/2-Inch Charcoal Smoker, BlackI am cooking ribs on my 22" WSM as I type this. This will be my third time cooking since I received it a few weeks ago and the results I've been getting have been some of the tastiest barbeque I've ever had. The design is excellent, the build quality is excellent, the instructions and support from Weber all excellent. But after all this "hype" the reason I only gave it 4 stars out of 5 is because, as good as it is, I believe Weber has over-priced it somewhat. I would have expected something of this size and quality to be priced closer to $350 or so.

Anyway, the good news is, the key to successful barbeque is temperature control. I threw away money a few years ago on a cheaper smoker in which it was almost impossible to control and ruined several dollars worth of meat trying. But temperature control is what makes this unit great. The WSM almost feels like cheating. Once you get it set, it just seems to stay locked into a very narrow temperature range requiring very little adjustment as it cooks. It's as easy to keep it "locked in" at 200 degrees as it is to keep it at 325. However, there are a few little tips and tricks of the trade to cooking on a smoker and barbeque in general that require a little research, trial and error, and discussion with experienced "pit masters." For this I highly recommend The Virtual Weber Bullet website and The Virtual Weber Bulletin Board. There is a wealth of knowledge there and you can get questions answered by professionals as well as pit master wannabes who are just starting out and learning too.

I would recommend starting with a Weber Smokey Mountain, a high-quality, easy to use smoker, rather than wasting money on a cheaper one only to realize later that it's too frustrating to use and then have to break down and buy the good one later. That would be the MOST expensive way to get into barbeque at home.

This is a great cooker , I've cooked on a lot of smokers and this one is the best.

First cook was 2 pork shoulders and it could not have gone better.

You can dial this in to 225 degrees and it will hold that temp overnight.

Put the pork on at 9 pm and it was ready to shred at 9am. The best part?

I did not have to get out of bed to check on it! Kudos to weber on the WSM !

Buy Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker Smoker 22.5 inch Now

This new cooker by Weber will quickly become a classic just like the smaller one has. Nice construction and easy to assemble. As a competition cook that got rid of a trailer mounted offset to go with a couple of these, I gotta tell you how happy I am. Once I got the temp settled in, I didn't touch them (I got two) until the pork butts were done 11 hours later. I HIGHLY recommend this cooker for experienced smokers and especially for those that are just starting...

Read Best Reviews of Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker Smoker 22.5 inch Here

This is the best smoker available in this price range. I've been cooking and winning with the 18" model since 2002. The big free bonus is great internet websites that will help you answer every question you have. 4" difference may not seem like a lot but in reality it's twice as big as the 18" and will hold twice the meat. Unless you never ever plan on cooking for more than a small group the 22" is a better choice than the 18". I only have two complaints. Amazon is bundling this with a cover, when every WSM ships with a FREE quality cover from Weber. Some of the Amazon bundling makes no sense like this cover or batteries that are the wrong size bundled with a product. The side door is a good fit but would be better is it was a 1/2" wider. You need to pay attention that it is not slipping in the opening when you latch it. It may not look like a classic smoker but the WSM can cook all night un-refueled and the classic looking smokers in this price range can not do that straight out of the box. This is first and foremost a smoker that will cook amazing Brisket, Ribs and Pork.

Want Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker Smoker 22.5 inch Discount?

There are a lot of positive comments about this smoker and most people go to great lengths to explain their happiness. There's a good reason. I've been grilling for a very long time but barbeque wasn't done much over the years because the results just weren't worth the effort. Now I understand that the proper equipment is essential. You'll have a very hard time making good barbeque in a $50 Brinkman. If you're talented enough to do that you're probably not cooking on one of those anyway. This smoker isn't cheap but it also isn't a Big Green Egg or a decent side smoker in terms of expense. Most of the side smokers are hard to regulate and most don't cook evenly without some extra work. Find a blog on side smokers and you'll find lot's of "fixes" and "fiddling" to get the heat even.

This Weber is really easy to use for low and slow cooking and it doesn't require much "tending" on a 10-12 hour cook. By the way, you definitely can use a couple of Weber chimneys to get a good, quick start on the fire without petroleum based fluids if you opt to buy one of these. Lighter fluid is generally a bad thing. You either have to burn up a good bit of your fuel to get all of the lighter fluid gone or, even worse, you stink up your food with it.

We've been using this smoker for about a year now and I'm happy with the purchase. The 22.5 is a surprisingly big boy for sure when you take it out of the box but now I can do 8 racks of ribs if I want. If you don't ever need to do that much, the smaller one may be a better choice for your needs but they both do the same work in the same way. If you've ever seen a Weber kettle grill (and who hasn't?) this equipment will be very familiar to you; same porcelain on steel construction, same vents and still made in the US when I got mine.

Several people mentioned being disappointed with quality of the access door and I agree with them that it should fit better out of the box but, with some careful bending you can get a good seal and then you don't have to fool with it again; it stays put. It's made from fairly thin stucco embossed aluminum that you can easily shape with with your hands. Just take your time to get it shaped a little better to the smoker barrel and you're all set from then on. After getting used to tipping it sideways to remove and replace the access door, it really does work quite well and the size of the opening makes it easy to add fuel or wood chunks during the cook.

I've eaten barbeque from Texas to Virginia and it's always a favorite choice when traveling somewhere because it's all a little different. I've had dry rub ribs at the Rendezvous in Memphis and wet ribs in St. Louis and pulled pork at Dreamland in Tuscaloosa and chicken and rib plates at Johnny Harris' in Savannah and I like Luther's in Houston for brisket! My point is that I've had some REALLY good barbeque but now I can duplicate what the Rendezvous serves right on my patio. My pulled pork is as good as anything I've had in ANY restaurant; ever. The best barbeque I eat is at home now. The restaurants just aren't likely to take the time to do what you can do with this smoker and maybe Big Bob Gibson's book on how to do it....which is well worth the $16 in my opinion.

If you want to do some truly great barbeque at home, spend the money for good equipment and take just a few minutes to learn some rubs and sauces. If you can read, measure and tell time, you can make some excellent smoked meats without buying someone else's WONDER SAUCE (aka ketchup, vinegar, salt and a few minor spices)to slather on the meat and call it your own. What you can make from scratch is cheaper and better than most of what you would buy. And, when you're done, you'll be justifiably proud of YOUR barbeque and probably a very popular cook with the people who get to eat it.

I mean, they're just not going to be getting any peach roasted pork shoulder anywhere but your house......Lord that's a good recipe from Big Bob's book! As we say in parts of the south, "that stuff is so good it'll make your tongue slap your brains out."

Get the smoker, get some books and have some FUN if you like to cook outside and show off a little. You'll be famous and popular in no time.

Romertopf No. 117 Clay Baker

Romertopf No. 117 Clay BakerI purchased the Romertopf 6 1/2 Quart Clay Baker to replace a smaller clay baker that I have had for years. Baking in clay pots is my absolute favorite way to cook roasts and chicken and this larger size allows me to cook plenty of vegetables and meat to feed by family of five at family dinners (and have leftovers). The flavors are outstanding and I highly recommend this method of cooking to anyone who hasn't tried it. You soak the clay pot, fill it up, and place it in a cold oven and turn up the temp -then you do nothing until it is done -it is the most tender, juicy meat you will ever eat.

The pot is exactly what I expected it would be, although my old one was glazed inside and this one is not. I have used it several times already and that has not been a problem.

I like it so much I am purchasing the same pot in a smaller size so I can cook dinners for two.

this thing barely fits in my oven so it can make a big big stew. i have loved my 4 quart schlemmertopf clay pot but sometimes it's a little small for what i wnt to cook. when i saw the romertopf 6 1/2 quart i had to have it. try this: 2pound roast, 1-2 inches of water, salt, pepper, garlic, basil. cook in oven at 350 for 1 hour. add two large russet potatos cubed, 1 pound carrots, one large red onion, one large bunch of celery, all chopped, and one 16 oz. jar of a good marinara sauce (h.e.b.'s 2 dollar version is great). add water to about 1 inch from top of pot. cook for another 2 hours at 350. you don't even have to check it. this is stew like mom used to make!!!!

have cooked two turkeys in this since received. wish i had bought one of these years ago. easy and quick to use. meat falls off the bone and is moist and juicy. used a standard recipe, but increased the temp. by 100 degrees and reduced cooking time by 30 minutes. fastest i have ever cooked a turkey other than by frying.

easily handled a 14 lb. turkey. could go larger; specs say up to 17 lbs.

only minor complaint is that if you only have one oven, the temp. is so high and the clay pot so large that it is difficult to cook sides at the same time. i used my gas grill as an oven for the side dishes.

I've been using this pot to make turkey for the holidays and it works brilliantly. I've just ordered a second one because these same ones from Mexico are not made any longer. The new ones will be shipped from Germany. The German web site for this pot says: "with porous inner glaze in the base", which concerns me. It doesn't appear that my current pot has any glaze in it. And I don't want to mess with perfection.

The max size bird I'd cook in this pot is 13 pounds. I prefer 12.5 pounds, which leaves a bit of room. I leave the thawed, naked bird on a wire rack in the fridge for 16 hours or so to allow the skin to dry out, which makes for crispy skin. I bring the turkey closer to room temperature by leaving it on the counter for 2 hours. I soak the pot for 30 minutes before placing the bird in it. I cook the 12.5 pound turkey for about 2.5 hours at 450 Fahrenheit. I don't use stuffing. Instead I chop a handful of veggies I like and place them in the cavity--leaving enough room for the heat to enter the cavity.

For those interested in the German page (slashes removed): roemertopf.de english roemertopf_klassik klassik.htm

The Romertopf Direct web site says: "All Romertopf by Reco products have been discontinued and our store is now closed."

[Update: 12-31-2012]: One source for these pots ( fantes [dot] com ) wrote to me that the new pots (i.e. non-Reco pots) will be arriving in mid-January. According to them the new pots "will be glazed on the bottom half, and the top unglazed, similar to the Schlemmertopfs"

As a young mom, I noticed that my Italian neighbor used the Rometopf for everything she baked. I gave it a try. I think it is the only way to get a carefree turkey that has moist breast meat and nicely browned skin. Even my non cook daughter in law made a fantastic turkey with the clay baker. It is great for any meat you want to bake and bread pudding.

Remember to soak it in water before using. It is a life saver if you get a late start on a holiday dinner or important meal. I have used a Rometopf for over 30 years and still love using it. I put it inside my dishwasher with no soap or rinse agent and run a cycle. It comes out fresh and has no soap or rinse residue to worry about.
