Charcoal Companion Compact Rosewood Handle Grill Brush

Charcoal Companion Compact Rosewood Handle Grill BrushNice grill cleaner. Bristles seem sturdy enough to last a while. A long handle would be nice, but can be overlooked if not cleaning a 500 degree grill. Would buy again.

The barbecue king of my family LOVED this to clean his grill. He liked the short sturdy handle and ease of use.

This is the best BBQ brush I have ever used. I would recommend this to a friend. I like how sturdy the build is and how it has a nice weight to the unit. The brush is nice and wide so you can clean your grill quickly. I like the stiffness of the bristles, as I do not have to push down too hard on the brush to get the grill cleaned nicely.

Great product.

Great for a charcoal grille, but not functional for a gas/propane grill with a warming rack above the cooking space. For that, you need a brush with a longer handle so you won't burn your hand.

Want Charcoal Companion Compact Rosewood Handle Grill Brush Discount?

Have used charcoal grills for many years and the food has been very tasty but clean-up can be a real chore. I have worn out many of the grill brushes that have been sold through the years. They never seem to last very long and their cleaning ability has been average to poor. This product cleans my grill grate better than any I have used in the past. The dense amount of stainless steel bristles work to remove the solids left over from cooking much better than I had experienced in the past. The handle is solid and angled to help make the job easier and faster than other brushes I have used. I imagine it would work equally as well on gas grills so you might want to give this product a try. I have not had this brush very long so I cannot speak to its ruggedness and longevity, however it does pass the eye test for a product that is solid and well made.

Smart Planet WM-3 Circus Waffle Shape Maker

Smart Planet WM-3 Circus Waffle Shape MakerThere are better made, higher quality waffle makers on the market, of course. What you should know right off the bat is that this isn't a high end waffle maker, nor does it really claim to be. But, for approximately $24.00 (I've seen it as low as $19.99 during the holidays), it's a perfectly good, small, relatively easy to use waffle maker with the added benefit that it allows you to make animal shapes. And who doesn't like animal shaped waffles?

Well, me, for one, but that's completely unimportant. My kids love them.

This is a "plug and play" device. Plug it in, let it heat up, and then make some waffles. It's that easy......assuming you maximize your success potential with a few tips.

Tip #1 Let the waffle maker heat up thoroughly before using. I don't use water splash tests or anything like that... just give it at lest 5-7 minutes before you start pouring batter on the thing. This gives you the best chance of evenly cooked waffles.

Tip #2 Use a batter bottle or some other easy to pour batter delivery system instead of just a big bowl and a spoon. We've got one of those plastic bottles with a small nozzle on the end that makes battering the waffle maker EASY because you can control the amount going onto the surface very easily with minimal mess. Trying to just pour or spoon batter lessens your chance of an evenly cooked waffle.

Tip #3 Don't overfill the animal spaces. Overfill leads to a difficult time cleaning the item.

Tip #5 Ignore lights indicating that the waffles are done. Lift the lid and look yourself.

Tip #6 Use cooking spray. A light misting before you add the batter will virtually guarantee that the batter won't stick.

We found that one small section of the lion area did not appear to be cooking "evenly." So, we returned the item and got a replacement. The problem is resolved completely. But, I do want to point out that if you find soft spots in one of the waffles, consistantly, make sure you don't have a defective unit.

Cleaning this item is a relative pain. Yes, I know, nonstick, blah blah blah.... look, you sill have to wipe this thing down well. It's not dishwasher safe and the elements are not removeable. We can clean it reasonably well, but for the difficulty in cleaning, I remove at least 1/2 a star. The other 1/2 or 1/4 of a star reduction is because I find the lights on the unit completely useless.

The unit is relatively compact. There's no cord storage, so be prepared for cord storage issues if you're one of those people who can't stand random cords spilling out inside your cabinets. It doesn't take up all that much space like the larger better built units do.

Finally, I note that the waffles are on the thin side. We like them. The kids pick them up and dip them in syrup. Because the end product is fairly small, it makes waffles as finger food a cinch. But don't expect thick, Belgian style animals from this unit.

Nice product. Good value. If it lasts 18 months, the $24 is probably worth it. Our replacement unit has functioned well so far for 6 months with no evidence of chipping or malfunction.

By the way, Tip #4 was going to have something to do with being careful with the lid when you open it because it can get hot, and the steam rising can be very hot, and if you're an idiot like I am, and you position the waffle maker too far back on the counter so that when you lift the lid, and it's hot, but not hot enough to hurt you, but hot enough to surprise you, and you move your hand too fast so that you smack the underside of the cabinets, which does hurt, and the impact then forces your hand downward so that you then hit the exposed waffle iron and burn yourself.....but I decided that you probably don't need that tip.

We got a great price on ours, which is why we took a chance. But the first bake was somewhat of a disappointment. The animal spaces are small, so getting the lion's legs and tail adn the elephant trunk filled with batter is a challenge.

By the time we were able to fill the shapes, some areas were already getting done... even before closing the thing. Then we tried filling it faster adn not worrying about getting the shapes filled perfectly. EVERY waffle came out partially burned and partially uncooked.

I'm not a novice at baking waffles, I own three other irons. With a toddler at home, this seemed like a fun way to make smaller waffles. I'll stick to a real waffle iron. This one is just a toy that doesn't really work very well.

I called this a thankyoumachine because as a grandparent who bought this I got the usual "thank you for the gift Gpa." however it seems that two or three times a week I get a text saying "the circus was at our house again today THANKS SO MUCH". I did not think it would be such a big hit but it is so I say to you Thank You.

This is wonderful, the waffles don't stick when using an olive oil spritzer, and not that bad to clean. It's a little more light weight than I expected, but so far no problems with the quality. Tip for anyone who is afraid that cleaning will be a problem.....hold the base and lean sideways over the sink while washing/rinsing with a sprayer. Clean up is very quick this way.

Want Smart Planet WM-3 Circus Waffle Shape Maker Discount?

The waffle iron only lasted about about 3 months. We used it maybe 10 times or so before the non-stick coating started to peel off on to our waffles. The kids loved the fun waffles, but we had to throw the thing away. I would go with a more expensive option.

Mr. Bar-B-Q Backyard Basics Eco-Cover PVC Free Premium Square Patio Set Cover

Mr. Bar-B-Q Backyard Basics Eco-Cover PVC Free Premium Square Patio Set CoverThis patio cover is of great quality. It fits our square table perfectly. The material is thick and I am sure will last for many years.

This cover is very well made. So far it has repelled rain and has stayed in place on windy days. I purchased this cover knowing it would be a bit large because I need it to cover a bar height table and four chairs. It does drape low to cover the chair legs. It has ties at the corners that I have not needed to use yet. The cover is light weight enough for me to handle by myself. It has vents on the sides to allow air flow. I anticipate this cover to last many years.

Ironically, I purchased this PVC free cover to keep our PVC outdoor set clean. Our patio set is not square, closer to round, but with the four rolling chairs it makes a basic square so figured this might work. Because our table is not square, the cover is not as pretty as in the add (it droops some in the corners), however it works great. We have had it about a month and it does just what it is supposed to do protect my furniture from the hot Louisiana Sun. The color is perfect too, as it is neutral, and even if it fades will not show much.

It was difficult to find a quality square cover. This cover is well made and has provided over a year of great protection to my outdoor patio set. It cleans real easy with a scrub brush using soap and water and it is easy to fold and store as well. This is a nice heavy canvass cover and I would highly recommend this product.

Big Mouth Toys The Grill Sergeant BBQ Apron

Big Mouth Toys The Grill Sergeant BBQ ApronJust another great product with more than one use! First off, let me start off by saying that this apron comes with it all! The first thing that caught my eye (which is hard to believe) is the camouflage pattern. Secondly, I love how many pockets it has, it makes me feel like I'm Batman. The apron comes equipped with 6, count 'em, 6 can pockets. This is the area where you can store all the beers you plan on drinking for that one grilling session. I'm over here asking if 6 will even be enough for me while I cook hamburgers for twenty minutes! Next to the can holders, comes a neat little spot for a can opener. You never know when your beer won't open and you have to whip out the can opener. Below that are the pockets for all your spatulas (in case you want to do double burger flipping). Next to the spatulas are salt and pepper shaker holders, and also bottle holders. In the picture, you can see that the rough-looking grilling man is carrying his Ketchup, mustard, and what ever is in the brown bottle (probably ground up meat, that he made from his Meat Handlers). And on the very right of the apron is a bottle of Windex; you never know when some Windex will come in handy, especially when you're out barbecuing. Now, yeah this is an apron, but I've found more uses for it. I figured I would take it with me when I went grocery shopping, and it was better than a cart! You just stick all your groceries in the pockets and you're a walking grocery cart. And better yet, it won't even look like you are stealing because of the camouflage design. Another clever way you can use this is when you're taking a shower. Right after you finish shopping, you take the groceries out and fill the pockets with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, loran, etc. The best part about it is: you don't have to take off the apron; all you do is slip right out of your clothes, without a hassle! I also like that when I'm done with my shower, the apron acts as a shower robe, and it dries me off in a jiffy. These are the ways have found my grilling apron useful, and would love to know what other people have figured out with theirs!

Its a one size fits all, it looks really durable and not cheaply made. Everyone will complement you on it. Its fun and its the only apron that I could find that looked manly, the beer holders are awesome. you will not use all 6 at once because they will get hot if you are grillin, but the one on top definitely; great to know where your beer is at all times. All the extra pockets are plenty helpful.

Only downside is if you have more than one beer, the weight will make it sag a lot, but like I said before, you will not have all beers there unless you are chuggin'!

I bought these for my husband and his dad, they love the beer dispenser, the multiple pockets it's a lot of help for someone that constantly forget where they put the stuff they were using, they love it and I am happy for it =)

OvenChek Cooking Surface Thermometer

OvenChek Cooking Surface ThermometerI have owned this 'cooking surface' thermometer for a couple of years. I use it to figure out whether the grill is hot enough to put the food on but I don't usually leave it on the grill for extended periods. I take it off when I put the food on. I also use it to calibrate my electric skillet and the surface of pans on my electric stove. If you leave this on your grill forever, all the time, even while the food is cooking, it probably won't last as long as mine has lasted.

Gee now that I'm doing this review, I remember how much I really like this thermometer. I'll be ordering another as a gift for a new cook who could use one.

When I received my new KitchenAid Grill this year, I realized that it did not have a thermometer built into the cover. This grill surface thermometer helps to overcome this limitation. The grill cranks out 67,000 BTUs and this thermometer can "almost" handle it. It reports up to 700 degrees, and I easily exceed its reporting range. It still works, even after these extreme temperatures. However, the red dye that is on its face is now a brown color, perhaps it was can designed for this type of heat.

I leave it on the grill all the time. Its face is splashed with the juices from the steaks, and it is still working. It also has condensation inside the face after a cold day, but it still is working.

I need to point out that I used it less than a dozen times over the last 1 month. This is a short-term review.

**************************************************

June 2006 Update -

The thermometer has lost its color from the heat of the grill. It is filled with condensation. The face is so discolored that it can not be read. I am disappointed that it only lasted about 5 months, and now it goes in the trash.

I use it in my charbroil electric smoker. I keep it right on the cooking grate, while my food is smoking. I have to wipe it down after each use, to keep the smoke from building up on the unit, but that's to be expected.

The overall build quality seems great, but just after a couple of uses the glass and the numbers started to become unreadable. It seems that it cannot survive the high heat that my grill is generating (~600 degrees).

Great idea. I was excited to get this thermometer. I put it in an empty frying pan with the gas on high. After four minutes, the Teflon started gassing, indicating it was over 550F, but the thermometer only said 160F. Tested it in boiling water by putting the bottom only in the water, reading was accurate. then put it on the sink. After five minutes, the reading had dropped from 208F (our elevation is 3200 feet) to 150F. The problem is that this thing takes forever to change its reading. It is the slowest thermometer that I have ever seen. If I had waited for this thing to register 400F, my $40 pan would likely have melted. Great idea, useless product. Save your money.

Westpointe Electrical Co Wp 4" Hi Velocity Fan 1002 Personal Fan

Westpointe Electrical Co Wp 4' Hi Velocity Fan 1002 Personal FanThis would be a 5-star item if it weren't for 2 out of 3 samples that sound like a 1963 VW Beetle with valve trouble idling noisily in a tile bathroom. You'd never think a fan this small could make that much noise, but 2 of my 3 WP's had that problem. Effectively, that raises the price of a single good one by 3X. One fan still cools my TV cabinet and components just fine. A 2nd one fresh out of the box sounded like an old Chevy pickup with a bad muffler, and the 3rd developed a violent rattle and growling motor noise after a few days' use. The one that works is a real 5-star champ for over a year now, but I had to ditch the other two. A least I didn't pay the much higher price for this same product that sells for more elsewhere. Just be safe and order more than one.

So many reviewers seem to never actually read the description of the products they buy. This little fan is, by nature and purpose, "little." It is meant to cool you off within reason. It is the perfect little fan to have near you, by your desk, nightstand or next to your favorite lazy-boy chair. Why do people insist on trying to force it to be more than what it is meant to be? All I can tell you is that I bought this Wespointe fan two years ago for my office desk and then decided to purchase another for my home desk. They are built like a tank, all metal, no plastic anywhere in sight. They provide exactly what they are meant to deliver: a pleasant, quiet flow of air to cool you off. Want a heavy blast of air? Buy something else. Want a little workhorse to cool you nearby? Get this little gem.

Ok, I am getting old and into the hot flash thing...I love surfing the web and get those warm feelings often. I bought two of these; one for home use and one for office use. They are a nice compact size and do throw out a good amount of air and I can position it right toward my face. They run fairly quiet so I do not disturb the person sitting near me at work. I don't even need to run them long and I am cool all over again. They seem to be constructed fairly well so hopefully they'll outlast the time period I need them for.

I paid like $20 for this fan after freight which I purchased without really paying attention to the size of the unit. Well built, but for what it is, is way overpriced. De Buyer Mineral Steel Grill Pans

De Buyer Mineral 10-Inch Grill PanI have the de Buyer carbon steel pan as well as the heavier mineral pan which is slower to season than the carbon steel pan. You have to effectively season (black patina) the surface in order to achieve stronger grill marks. The grill lines seem a little wide; depending on the weight of the food, the grill marks can be narrow or wide. Heavier foods will bear wider grill marks. I prefer the healthier 99% iron surface of the mineral pans. You have to use it frequently in order to prevent rust and maintain a nonstick black patina.

Taylor 1479 Commercial Wireless Remote Digital Food Thermometer

Taylor 1479 Commercial Wireless Remote Digital Food ThermometerI have read the "help" offered by the Taylor engineer. I think he is just explaining away the fact that Taylor did not design this appropriately for the environment it is going to be regularly used in. I am an engineer by training and have used these types of temp measurement devices before many times they are popular because they are accurate and reliable. If packaging is not designed correctly, anything will fail. (perfect example computer manufacturers design keyboards to have a drink spilled on them; is this logical: no; does it keep the keyboard safe in its likely use environment: yes)

My problem is that the crimp that holds the wires into the probe did not hold well so the plastic protective sheath pulled out and, no, I did not pull the probe out by the cord. Now the little wires that actually combine to determine the temperature rub on the probe opening and cause an error (especially if even slightly moist). Bottom line: the cord should have been sheathed in braided metal like every other probe out there.

There may be good news: as I was writing the review sitting on hold with customer servcie, someone finally answered my call. They will send another probe out for free...in a month and a half because they are backorded. I'm sure the Taylor engineer will chalk the demand for replacement probes up to user error. Good luck to those who purchased.

Just finished reading my copy of Cooks' Illustrated and I see they've listed this wireless as their new #1 thermometer, knocking off the previous title holder. I love this piece and am glad to see the experts think so too. It's compact and works well. I love the backlight and that the remote beeps, vibrates and flashes a light for the various pre-alerts I've set for cooking. I use it more indoors than for BBQ's, but it's clearly a great piece and by a company who knows thermometers. I have other Taylor items too.

Buy Taylor 1479 Commercial Wireless Remote Digital Food Thermometer Now

I purchased this item at another retailer (wish I would have gotten it here!) and have used it twice already. The price was great! I had a corded one before that didn't have the remote, but wanted to try this. I used it on the grill to cook some chicken and had no problem with the cord at all. It was great because I didn't have to constantly run to the grill to check the temp -I did once but then realized I didn't have to and waited for the beeps (and it was cold out). The chicken breast turned out well. I used it in the oven this weekend for a roast, and again, it was great. The meat was done really well and cooked just the way we like it. I like that I don't have to spend all my time in the kitchen checking and checking the temperature. I truly didn't worry about the roast until I got the beeps. Can't wait to try it again for the holidays

Bought this item in Crate and Barrel. Very happy with the features. But, I used it 6 times and it's already broken! Figured it just needed batteries when it stopped working, but no, the display panel is defective. What a let down.

Want Taylor 1479 Commercial Wireless Remote Digital Food Thermometer Discount?

The title might seem harsh, but it is too true. Upon delivery of the Taylor 1479 from Amazon, the unit was inoperable out of the box.

Upon power-up, the display registered what seemed to be the ambient room temperature. I then placed the probe under my hot water tap and the display immediately registered 'LL'. I did not submerse the entire probe, but rather just ran the water over the last few inches of the probe to avoid getting water inside of the tube. After a minute or two, the display came back to ambient temperature, then back to 'LL' and repeated randomly.

I decided to test the Taylor 1479 against known boiling water. The Taylor 1479 displayed 139 degrees in a pot of 212 degree boiling water.

Allow me to state the obvious... An inaccurate meat thermometer is worse than no thermometer at all. Most people use a meat thermometer to aid in judging the 'doneness' of expensive meat, e.g. prime rib. Trusting the Taylor 1479 will guarantee ruined meat as well as ruined occasions.

To answer the Taylor engineer/apologist who provided the last 5 star rating... I am an Electrical Engineer with over 40 years experience in measurement devices. I grew up with a Simpson 260 VOM, and have used everything from an oscilloscope to a real-time Fourier analyzer to a bus monitor. I know how to use a probe thermistor, and the Taylor 1479 was faulty out of the box. Let me make this clear... THE TAYLOR 1479 WAS FAULTY. Maybe you should do something about it?

I know I'm living in a dreamworld, but how cool would it be if Taylor hired a group of people in the US to perform quality checks on their Chinese-made products? Maybe some kids trying to earn their way through engineering school, or some retired Navy metrology specialists trying to supplant Social Security? (Metrology being the science of measurement, not the science of weather.)

Oh, yeah... I had to go to Kohls on Christmas Eve to buy a mechanical bi-metal thermometer. Kinda sucks since any high school kid could build a science fair digital thermometer that interfaces with their iPhone for about 45 cents in parts. But I bought my mechanical bi-metal thermometer and went on my merry way. Upon getting home, the thermometer read 32 in an ice slurry and 212 in boiling water. Something the Taylor 1479 could never do.

Breville RM-JE98XL Certified Remanufactured Juice Fountain Plus 850-Watt Juice Extractor

Breville RM-JE98XL Certified Remanufactured Juice Fountain Plus 850-Watt Juice ExtractorOk, first of all... I'd bet money that this is a brand new juicer!! It seemed brand spankin' new to me. Breville is famous for their juicers because they are strong and last a long time, and now I see why. It's strong and durable. I thought it was going to be hard to learn, but within minutes (after washing everything) I was up and juicing!!

I was skeptical at first, because I heard it was a lot of work, etc... I actually find it rewarding to do the entire process. You really feel good when you are washing your veggies, and putting them in the juicer. One thing I'd recommend is that if you see the juicer not juicing, stop it and rinse the screen out, or clean it. You will get more juice. Cleanup is not as bad as I thought it was going to be, either. Use a bag to line the pulp and it's easy cleanup. Today I didn't have time, and loaded everything but the machine into the dishwasher. I'll clean the filter myself, by hand, after soaking it in water for about 10 mins. No biggie.

I researched juicers for WEEKS and it came down to this one. There is more output of juice, the pulp is dry, and it's not very expensive. I feel so much better, and healthier, too!! (And it's not all in my head, either...LOL) Please remember that when you juice with green veggies, like kale, you're going to feel like your drinking grass... I just add ginger root, a banana or something, and down it. That's the best method. The rest of the juice leftover, I put in 8 oz. Mason jars and put it in the refrigerator. (Juice 1/2 peeled lemon to it so it won't turn colors) Once you get used to it, you wonder why you hadn't done this before.

I'd recommend this to anyone, and am thinking of getting this for a present for someone. Good buy, highly recommend!

I had a Jack LaLanne Power Juicer, but then I saw the movie "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" and witnessed their preference for the Breville unit. Not wanting to part with $250 for a new one, I scooped up a great deal on Amazon for the factory refurb.

It works great and seems to extract the same or more juice than the JLL. What's best, it's a heck of a lot easier to disassemble and clean. This is very important if you plan on juicing regularly. Trust me, you can spend a lot of time cleaning the JLL and the parts are large and clunky. This unit is smaller, lighter, takes up less counter space and more aesthetically pleasing by far.

On the downside, this unit is much noisier due to the higher operating RPM. Deal with it. How long are you going to run it anyway?

Buy Breville RM-JE98XL Certified Remanufactured Juice Fountain Plus 850-Watt Juice Extractor Now

This juicer is absolutely amazing. First of all it fits (small) whole apples! No need for chopping anymore. This definitely helps to cut down your juice time when you are in a rush. Second, the power of this juicer is incredible. It really gets every last drop of juice out of the veggies & fruits. After making one juice, I scooped out the pulp and ran it through the chute to see if there was an excess juice, and nothing came out! The pulp was practically dry and there was no need to run the pulp through again. You will definitely get your money's worth and get every penny out of those fruits & veggies.

The juicer may be remanufactured, but it is in perfect condition and looks brand spanking new.

Great juicer and great company. I am very satisfied.

I juiced in the mid-90's but got darn tired of the hassle concerning clean-up so I just quit using it and gave the juicer away and never missed it.

Here it is 2012 and I wanted to juice again for the optimal health benefits and I assumed machines surely must have improved from 20+ years ago, and have they ever, this Breville Juice Fountain is incredible, difference between night and day from my old juicer. My family has found that to wash, prepare and juice veggies and fruits etc... has become a family event, it literally becomes fun with everyone doing their part. We chose this type of juicer over the slower ones as we really did not want to turn juicing into a dreaded chore, we wanted one that was fast, easy to clean and not have to shove small cut-up pieces of food down a small chute.

The 3" chute is very convienent, the pulp discharge gets the pulp out of the way without clogging up the machine, the parts are easy to assemble and disassemble and clean-up on the most part is very easy (FYI, you will always have to deal with a filter to clean by hand and the supplied brush is very effective at cleaning the filter/blade part). The juice is pulp free, the discharded pulp (yes, line the pulp discharge container with a plastic bag, to discard the pulp we merely dig a hole in the garden/landscaping and bury the pulp) is relatively dry. The pitcher can seperate the froth from the juice but have found we very rarely use this as we like to stir the finished juice product before consuming so we just stir the froth in with the juice so this feature for the pitcher is useless for us. We have found this powerful juicer merely spits leafy produce into the pulp container, it does produce a small amount of juice from it, but again, very little, if we want leafy veggies in our diet we just eat a salad.

Only problem we had was the filter/blade part did look unduly scratched and worn but amazon.com made that right so we were very satisfied with the price for a recertified machine of this quality versus a new one.

After 2nd use of the juicer the plastic top piece while trying to open for use. This was very disappointing after having read many positive reviews. The machine is relatively quiet and the juice flows well...however the downfall is not with the motor, but with all the plastic that is feeble. The comments and feedback about customer service are also quite true as customer service is quite bad and my request to have piece replaced was met with a reminder that this was a re-manufactured item...I said but plastic was new, oh well that is not covered anyway..only motor for 3 months on re-manufactured. If you want to buy the replacement part the wait is over 2 months at the earliest they advised. So needless to say customer service is not top of mind despite premium price of unit. Anyhow avoid these units with lots of plastic that easily breaks and get steel or harder plastic instead to increase your chances for longevity.

25" BBQ Hook Pig Tail Flipper- Right Hand USE

25' BBQ Hook Pig Tail Flipper- Right Hand USEThis is a man's barbecue tool.

Very beefy handle, long shank and pointy end. Great for flipping steaks, roasts, chix. etc.

Not for sissys.

Just LOVE this flipper! Sure helps when smoking or slow roasting a large piece of meat (or small ones like chicken for that matter) in the great outdoors (porch and at camp sites)!! Very strong, well constructed and well thought out. Have always wanted one. Bought it and never looked back. Use it all of the time! Have had it for about 6 months now. Don't see this bad bear wearing out for YEARS.

Simple, yet ingenious, I totally love how easy this flips the food on my grill! Reaching meat at the back of my grill is just as easy as the meat located at the front of my grill. This will make a great gift for somebody who seems to have everything...

I ordered this for myself as a Christmas gift. I smoke a lot of meat and knew this would come in handy. I have seen the normal sized ones but this one was perfect for reaching into my 2' deep smoker. The shaft is very thick and doesn't strain under the weight of a #10 brisket. Many people will tell you not to puncture the meat for fear of losing juices. I don't notice any loss of moisture. Excellent product.
