Ordered this to convert my portable grill to a more stationary use. Daily grilling I was using too many mini-tanks.Awesome. Easy connect.Good alternative for a tools-free quick connect to a gas grill or other propane fueled device. The quick connect can be a bit hard for a person with a weak grip to engage and disengage. Perhaps this is plus if you have kids around. The hose is 10' long, not 4' as stated in the ad when I purchased the item. The flexible hose is vulnerable to being chewed by squirrels and raccoons to the point of leaking gas. I have replaced two hoses because of the forest critters. I have now sleeved the hose in flexible blue plastic electrical conduit to stop the damage.

I'm using this to connect a portable generator. Works great and looks like a quality product that should last a long time.Lodge SCRAPERGPK Grill Pan Scraper, 2-Pack
Just used them when the grill/griddle was slightly hotter than warm...melted. Thus the review is now one star.I've used cast iron for 35+ years and found these scrapers great to scrape away little crusty bits, esp. in the curves of a pan. Remember, no dishwashing liquid should touch a cast iron pan--just scrape and scrub with a stiff lodge brush, rinse and thoroughly dry. I then rub a little cooking oil on the inside, mopping up any excess with a paper towel.

I use these with a Lodge cast iron grill pan. The scrapers have two rows of scraping notches at different widths, presumably to accommodate the different pans in Lodge's product lineup. These are great for cleaning up grill pans without removing the seasoning just use them in the sink with hot water (no soap!) and soon your pans will be clean and ready for oiling. Before these I had been using those green scrubbing sponges which 1) didn't clean the pan very well, 2) sanded through the seasoning in some "hot spots", and 3) shredded the sponge in no time. These scrapers have no such issues. They're rigid but slightly flexible and comfortable to hold and use. And you can toss them into the dishwasher with impunity.I would suggest one improvement: put a narrow "U" shaped notch on the back edge of the scraper to scrub off the top edges of the ribs on the pan. As it is, these scrapers are better for cleaning out gunk that's fallen into the valleys between the ribs. But not a big deal. I've had nothing but outstanding experiences with Lodge products. Nice to see that continue even with a little item like this.

Do not order this if you plan on using it with the Lodge Logic LPGI3. The notches on this scraper do not fit hte grooves in the grill side of the Lodge Logic LPGI3. That was specifically why I ordered this product and the product description does not mention this at all. Maybe it will work for others, but it did not work for me.Want Lodge SCRAPERGPK Grill Pan Scraper, 2-Pack Discount?
This package contains two identical scrapers. Each has two grooved sides of different spacing, and a rounded edge. These work well for cleaning the Lodge L8SGP3 grilling skillet, and can be tossed in the dishwasher afterward. Alternatives would be using a wadded up paper towel or a stiff brush. This tool gets a big start on the cleaning and then you might have to pick a few remnants off.Inexpensive and useful. Give one to a friend!

2 pack La's Totally Awesome All Purpose Cleaner, Degreaser & Spot Remover 2 bottles total of 40 Oz
I've also used it on stuff stored in my damp basement with similar results. If you can't find this stuff at your local Dollar Store or Walmart don't hesitate to order online. It's well worth it.This product really is AWESOME!!! I recently moved into a new apartment and the previous tenant left a bottle of this stuff under the kitchen sink. I ran out of the other cleaning products I had bought and decided to give this a shot before running out to buy more. Wow was this stuff powerful! It took what was probably about 10 years of built-up grease and dirt off the blades of the ceiling fan with just a spray, before even wiping it off! This cut through grease build up on the walls and cabinets around the stove like it was nothing. It tremendously cut down the amount of heavy scrubbing I had to do. I used it on the grout on the kitchen floor: The previously grey grout is back to white and looks almost new. It cut through soap scum in the shower too. I am going to use this on everything (as soon as I buy some more)!!!!
One bad thing I did notice was that this probably isn't the best thing to use on painted surfaces. I used it on a surface that had been painted white and my water that I rinsed the rag in was a bit chalky-looking, leading me to believe it was taking off the paint. This product is very useful around the house. I have never found another cleaner that works as well. It has removed Ink stains, blood stains, grease and oil, coffee stains. I use it in my Bissel carpet shampooer it's the best carpet cleaner I have ever tried. I use it to pre treat laundy stains. Diluted with about 95% water it is a great all around general purpose spray cleaner. I use the diluted spray to clean glass and it has never looked cleaner. I buy mine at the dollar store though. 99 cents buys you 20 oz's.

Emile Henry Flame Chicken Roaster
I really like the design of this roaster. It holds the chicken upright and out of the fat and juices. It also has plenty of room in the tray for potatoes and veggies. The spout allows me to transfer the liquid into another container. Emile Henry's Flame Top Ceramic really holds the heat so I can set the dish on the table (for everyone to admire) for a while without worrying that it will get cold.
I always like to see a product in action before I buy it, so I thought that I would make this short video review. I hope that it is helpful.
Note: I shoot my video reviews in segments. In this video I accidentally repeated a point that I had just made in the previous segment and didn't notice it until I was done. Sorry about that.
TimI purchased this to replace my old aluminum vertical roaster and I love this Emile Henry roaster. In fact I went out and bought several other Emile Henry products.

Works great. Never had ceramic cookware before, but works like a charm. I think I will get more of them of different sizes.Works great, food just slides off and it's easy to clean. Planning on getting the larger pan. Another plus is the customer service. I had a question regarding the product source. I received a reply that same afternoon which answered my concerns, and was clearly personalized (not a robo-response). Shipping was a bit slow, but arrived in perfect condition.Want Healthy Nonstick Ceramic Coated Frying Pan - 8" Eco Friendly Durable Fry Pan Discount?

This set is very sturdy and I like the hang hoops on ends. A very good buy. I am going to get another set for my brother.Used all three utensils at my 9-9-12 camping weekend. They did not disappoint. Absolutely worth it. The "flute" case(which everyone kept referring to ) was perfect. I like the fact that there's a case; I like to have a place for all my camping stuff.Want Chefs Basics HW4113 3-Piece Stainless-Steel Barbecue Set with Aluminum Storage Case Discount?
The good this was a nice looking set, very handsome and sturdy. The bad the handles were VERY short.
This would be a nice set for folks who BBQ on a small charcoal grill. Not at all useful for medium or larger grills of any type. The handles are so short that you would be burned from the heat. Although this was a nice looking set and came in an attractive box, I ended up returning it because it was useless for our larger gas grill.

Taiyaki Japanese Fish-Shaped Hot Cake Maker
Taiyaki are tasty little fish-shaped cakes with red beans in the center. That doesn't sound that good, but Japanese red beans anko, or adzuki are sweet and quite suitable for snacks and desserts. Taiyaki are easy to make, which is good considering that the packaging and documentation for this cooker is all in Japanese.
Basically, you heat this over your stove. I tried using it on an electric burner, and believe it or not it works just fine that way. Heat the taiyaki-ki up on both sides until water sizzles on the cooking surface, then give it a light dash of cooking spray and spoon in a thin layer of batter, working from the tail to the body. (You can Google up a recipe, but I'm lazy and use pancake mix.) Add some red beans to the body area, then more batter to cover, and then close the mold. Cook for a few minutes on each side until golden brown. Voila, tasty sweet fish-shaped snack cakes!
You can vary the recipe by using chocolate, shrimp paste, peanut butter, or whatever you like as fillings. After I recvd this one, I asked my Korean friends to read the instruction for me. I am quite sure any items to be sold in the US, one needs to have instruction in English. This is not the case. Anyway, the instruction was to tell you to be careful in handling this pan they will be come very hot during cooking.
I used waffle mix and put some red bean paste (Oriental store) as fillings and make some fish cake, very cute. I also used raspberry and blueberry as alternatives. I am going to let my imagination juice flow and seek for some other fillings. (Chestnut paste, sesame paste, berries w/marmalade, custard cream........) Um..... they are so yum yum.
I'd recommend using waffle mix rather than pancake mix waffle mix gives you a much lighter and fluffier texture. However, if you'd like to have a fish with substance (smile), use pancake mix the texture is much more heavy. Just like a pancake fish and fillings cannot be easily put into the fish.
Do not put the fish maker on the BBQ, a regular stove top will do the job. Always heat up the maker first for a few minutes and spray with some PAM or spread a bit of butter inside it prevents stickniess. Turn down the temperature to medium and pour some thin batter to coat the fish maker pan (one side only). Do not over fill. Put your fillings carefully into the center of the fish they will sink into the batter or you can use a small spoon to help them sink. Pour in more batter to cover the fillings. Close it tight and turn it around to warm the other side. Monitor the temperature as it burns easily.
After 2-3 minutes voila here comes 2 lovely fish with yummy fillings splashing onto your table. I make them on the weekends and my friends just love them. They are more popular than the English tea that I usually prepare.
The little fish cake reminds me of my childhood when I spent my early life in Asia. They have so many types of interesting snacks on the streetside!
1/24/2012 Update:
I was told to add a few teaspoon of BEER into the batter and it works like magic! Same for tempura batter adding BEER gives you the crispiness. Now the outer is crispy and the inner is as soft as mashmellow. Thank you for sharing the tips, Marsa.
I also use my home made vanilla custard cream as fillings. I sprinkle powder sugar on my fish after it is toasted. 1/2 of the sugar is elminated in the batter and it is healthier. Well, at least my waistline appreciates it. :>

Presto 07030 Cool Touch 20-Inch Electric Griddle, Black
Pros:
It's awesome to have a griddle in the kitchen. First and foremost, it's great being able to make more than one or two pancakes at a time. If you want to serve someone up a short stack, there is a lot of waiting using only two pans, but with this, you can crank out three good size cakes at the same time. Also, frying eggs and warming meat at the same time has saved me a lot of time in the mornings.
It's easy to clean. If you read the manual carefully, it suggests seasoning before use. This ensures a light coat of oil stays on it while it's being used. I've done this and NOTHING has stuck to the surface. I also give it a thorough scrub with either a dry paper towel or a wet one held with chopsticks after each use and it stays very clean.
It gets hot fast! Way faster than my range top and a pan, which also saves me time in the morning. This is mostly due to the light construction, but this can also contribute to un-even heating, which I have not yet had a problem with, although others have.
Its just more fun. Maybe this is helping me live out some long-lost short-order cook fantasies? = )
Cons:
As other reviewers have noted, it slides around a bit. I find myself lifting it up a bit on one side to both keep it in place and also to give the spatula better odds of sliding under an egg without breaking it. This is not a deal-breaking compensation, but rubber feet would have been nice here.
It tends to get pretty hot. The manual comes with cooking temps, but I found most of them to be a little high. Cooking a little more cool has helped things out for me. Again, this may be what has attributed to others' problems.
The bottom line here is that you get what you pay for. This is one of the cheaper models on the market, so I think it would be a little unrealistic to assume that the bargain model would deliver a top-of-the-line performance. I have had zero problems with mine so far, but I recognize that it clearly has some room for improvements. Until I want to shell out more than $30 for a small kitchen appliance, I'll be quite happy with this product.I have been using the griddle for about a year now, and nothing sticks to it. It has a nice wide flat surface that makes it great for making pancakes for the family. My family used to have to eat them in shifts because I could only cook 2 at a time on my regular frying pan. I can do about eight at a time now, depending on how big i want them i can do more. Clean up is a breeze...once you remove the plug the griddle is completely submersable in water. I had a george foreman once...cleaning it was difficult because it couldn't get wet. I cook all my burgers on the Presto now. If grease starts to collect there is a grease tray on the side, just push the unwanted stuff into the hole with a spatula.

My original electric griddle was a Hamilton Beach. I had it for almost 16 years and used it constantly. It had the most non-stick surface I've ever seen. I never used any oil on it, and absolutely nothing stuck, not even scrambled eggs. When it finally wore out, I purchased a Presto Cool Touch griddle as a replacement. The product claimed to be non-stick. I was a little concerned when I saw that the surface was rough to the touch. It had the texture of a cast iron pan. I figured it must work, though. Well, everything stuck right to it. I was disappointed that I'd have to go back to using oil. I applied a nice coating of oil and started again. Everything still stuck. It was a real mess. As for cleanup, it's a nightmare. The oil got baked onto that rough surface and turned into that sticky brown goo you get sometimes on your glass bakeware. Not only that, it was impossible to completely remove the goo. I would wash the griddle by hand over and over again, only to find more brown goo rubbing off onto my dish towel when I dried it. I tried the griddle for 2 weeks and then took it out to the garbage can. I have since bought a #38510 Hamilton Beach StepSavor Jumbo Griddle and I love it. I am back to cooking without any added oil and cleanup is super easy. If you like to cook pancakes, eggs and french toast on your griddle, stick with Hamilton Beach for the best results.Read Best Reviews of Presto 07030 Cool Touch 20-Inch Electric Griddle, Black Here
After reading comments from other reviewers I was a little worried about uneven cooking when I ordered this, but in my experience (with pancakes) the difference in coloration was very minor between areas that were directly above the heating element and areas that weren't. I usually leave a good 5-10 mins for the griddle to heat up before I start cooking, so maybe if you throw the pancakes on right away after the minimum amount of warmup time you would get problems with uneven cooking, but personally I haven't experienced it. With cooking other things like grilled cheese sandwiches, there is no difference in coloration whatsoever between what was over the heating element and what wasn't. I followed the directions about "seasoning" the non-stick surface with canola oil before the first time I used it, and so far NOTHING sticks to this thing. It's been very easy to clean. Overall I love it, and compared to the price of other griddles out there I'm very happy with my purchase. It makes about six pancakes or sandwiches at a time, so I can easily produce food for 4-6 people faster than they can possibly eat it. The only negative is that, like other reviewers have mentioned, the legs on this griddle tend to slide across the countertop surface very easily. I solved it with a pack of 1/2" adhesive rubber feet I bought for $2.49 (similar to these: Waxman 4215395N 1/2-Inch Heavy Duty Bumper, Clear, Round), but despite how easy it was to fix this, it's really something Presto should have corrected before production so shame on them for that. Still, I would recommend this griddle to anyone in the market for a new one. I love it.Want Presto 07030 Cool Touch 20-Inch Electric Griddle, Black Discount?
I picked up this griddle here for $20 and it was worth every single penny. I treated it with oil as was recommended in manual and have had absolutely no problems with sticking. It cleans easily and is large enough for quite alot of stuff. It heats quickly and evenly and has allowed me to make some quite spectacular meals.Things I've cooled on it so far:
Eggs (over-easy)
Eggs (scrambled)
Bacon (wonderful)
Grilled cheese
Hamburgers
Pork chops
Steaks
Tuna steaks
Tillapia
Cod fillets
Salmon
Everything has come out wonderfully.
The only negative thing I have to say about it agrees with a few other reviewers. As sold, it has a tendency to slide around on the counter, which would be somewhat dangerous without precautions. However, it is trivial to deal with. I simply put a towel underneath. Walla ... no more sliding. For a real solution, just go to Home Depot and get some small rubber feet for $1.50.
All-in-all, this is the best $20 I have every spent on a kitchen appliance.
