ive owned this tv stand for several months now and it is very nice. it is strong metal and the glass is thick durable tempered glass...the tv mounts easy..mine is a 42 inch seiki lcd and the cords are hidden behind the panel....the tv feels very secure on there and turns with ease ill try to get some pictures up soon but i would reccomend this to anyone looking for a stand with mount..i chose this over a wall mount...this does the same and is much easier

I was looking to replace my old non-stick skillet that I used primarily for cooking eggs. The old one had lost its non-stick coating. When I saw this one recommended on America's Test Kitchen over all the other contenders, most of which cost quite a bit more, I bought it. I don't regret buying it. The non-stick works very well and, while not thick as many I have used, it heats evenly without hot spots. I will soon buy another one.

Light weight, easy to clean, non-stick surface is durable and works, nice shape and depth for omelets and eggs or grilled sandwiches. Cooks evenly, good heat distribution. One of the better pans of this type I have bought, this is my 2nd one.

RESTAURANT STYLE SOLID SPATULA

Ok for occasional use. Loose rivets caused by flimsy steel. I tightened the rivets in a press. The wood on the handle is a little narrower than the steel.

We purchased this spatula to use to cook and chop steak for Philly Cheese steaks. It works just great! The spatula has a nice weight to it. Not too heavy, not to light. This spatula is also great to use on the grill. Due to the length of the spatula you do not get burnt trying to flip the burgers and chicken breasts on the grill. You can also flip two at a time. I think this will last for years. It was well worth the money.

While this item has the ideal heft and dimensions I needed, the workmanship isn't as tight as I expected. The handle is a bit loose which makes all the difference when using kitchen utensils. I give it a fair rating. Make sure you find one tightly constructed for full user satisfaction.

My own fault, should not have tried to match this online I guess, I thought quick connect LP was a standard size..NOT. This one was too big for my low pressure quick connect on my RV. I will be returning it and finding my solution at the Home Improvement stores where I can test fit for my application. The return shipping hassle will make it an expensive lesson for me.

Good alternative for a tools-free quick connect to a gas grill or other propane fueled device. The quick connect can be a bit hard for a person with a weak grip to engage and disengage. Perhaps this is plus if you have kids around. The hose is 10' long, not 4' as stated in the ad when I purchased the item. The flexible hose is vulnerable to being chewed by squirrels and raccoons to the point of leaking gas. I have replaced two hoses because of the forest critters. I have now sleeved the hose in flexible blue plastic electrical conduit to stop the damage.

Presto 07047 Presto Cool Touch Griddle

Great size for two people. Heats up fast with evenly heated cooking surface. Great for home use and fits perfectly in our 5th wheel for vacation use. Able to fit 4 large pancakes on surface with no problem. Considered the "liddle griddle" at first and are glad that we decided on the larger 16 inch Presto Cool Touch griddle instead. Well made and should hold up to years of use.

Surprisingly light and thin but with plenty of cooking surface, this griddle is perfect for saving space in the kitchen. There's enough surface area to cook eggs, pancakes and bacon for our whole family at once, so everyone gets a hot breakfast. When we're finished cooking, we pop it into the dishwasher for easy cleaning and store it in the cupboard with our cookie sheets.

It heats up quickly and has an even temperature across the entire surface with no noticeable hot and cool spots. So far it has been sturdy and reliable. For the ~$18 we paid for it, this griddle was an excellent value. I would recommend this item.

Once I found the perfect recipe to make beautiful golden, light, high-rise pancakes, I knew I needed an electric griddle that would accommodate large 5"-6" pancakes. This Presto handles the golden part just fine, but it's not big enough to handle more than two IHOP-sized pancakes at a time. So I've opted to order a second one, which will add to my griddle real estate, and produce the golden tan pancakes that I've come to love. I like the presto because it maintains its temperature and the plate is heated uniformly with no hotspots. The non-stick surface allows me to use less butter. Presto makes larger griddles, but having two of the smaller size seems to work well for my purposes.

Edited: Nov 30, 2012: I've been asked for the recipe of the perfect pancake. So here it is:

The Perfect Pancake

Important: Mix the batter as little as possible. Lumpy is good. Over mixing causes the moisture to combine with the gluten in the flour to form glue that prevents the gas (formed by the baking soda) from letting the pancakes rise as they cook. So stir as little as possible to just mix the ingredients.

1. Mix the following dry ingredients in a bowl:

2 ½ cups all purpose flour

¼ cup of granulated sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon kosher salt

2. In a different separate bowl, mix the following wet ingredients:

2 cups buttermilk

2 cups sour cream

2 large eggs scrambled

4 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

3 tablespoons sweet cream butter, melted

3. Add the mixed dry ingredients to the bowl of wet ingredients. Stir until just blended, but still lumpy. (Do not over mix)

4. Preheat Presto griddle to 350-degrees. Pour batter by ¼ -cupfulls onto griddle.

I first ordered the 22" griddle as I wanted the larger cooking surface. However, I need it to go long way from front to back of the counter, and with the plug on the long end -it was just too long to be safe. This one fits that way with room to spare. However, I am disappointed to lose some cook surface.

Here's what fits: 10 strips of Hormel regular sliced bacon (I'd wanted one I could fit the whole package) or 5 slices of Arnold bread soaked for French toast (different rounds of cooking).

How it cooks: You could definitely tell it was cooler right in the center (even with the bacon that cooked more on the ends than in the middle of the piece), and on the end furthest from the plug. But it was manageable. I just traded spots with the food and it all cooked nicely with an even, predictable temperature. So I'm happy.

But I bought this to add to volume of food and am not concerned about really even color on pancakes. Good enough for family use!

We bought this to take the chill of of cooler evenings, it's a pretty well made item and you can tell it is durable. We are on our second year with it, and no problems as of yet. It has a rustic stone look to it, very nice for complementing the urban style with the fire pit type of function.

I'll do a cursory overview of relevant details:

📦 UNBOXING

It's packaged in a standard, durable type of box, packaged with styrofoam, the whole unit comes out all as one piece, no connections are required. The red rocks and manual are included in the box.

🔩 SETUP

There are only two things needed to begin using this, one you will open and distribute the red rock in the bowl, then two you will need a standard size (20lb) propane tank which connects and sits underneath the bowl (not included). One side of the base pulls off to insert the propane tank, then re-attaches to hide the tank. It's super simple, just like hooking up a propane tank to a grill.

📐 SIZE AND APPEARANCE

It looks good, it's got a nice stone look to it and the red rocks hide all of the propane distribution. It's a nice decorative item for the patio. The dimensions are: 28.74"H x 20.67"W x 20.67"D, it's a pretty substantial unit, while not overly large.

🚧 CONSTRUCTION

It's pretty much all resin, stone looking. The control knob is black plastic, and the ignitor is black plastic with a rubberized button similar to gas grills.

♨ USE

There is a control knob on the outside of the unit, on one side, just set the knob and press the ignition button to light the fire bowl, this unit comes with the battery needed for the ignition button, one AAA battery. I have only used this a few times and haven't had to replace the battery yet.

Once lit, adjust the fire to your liking, I usually set it to high and it really takes the chill off of a cool evening. It's important to note that you will need to sit or stand near this, it's a smaller fire than a campfire, and since the bowl is fairly small it doesn't get terribly hot.

When you are done, turn it off, that's pretty much it. I usually go ahead and turn the propane tank off as well, just to be safe.

✏ OVERALL

We like it, it's not the hottest fire pit you could possibly get, but to take the chill off of the evening it works well and is much easier than having to buy and stock firewood, and it's easy to use, once you are ready to come inside just turn it off and you are done, no need to douse a fire or something like that. Also it's nice for us as we have a lot of tree cover in the vicinity, and wouldn't be able to have a large fire here.

Wolfgang Puck 10" Round Grill Pan

This was a Christmas gift for a family member, and she really likes it. When you have a smooth ceramic cooktop, finding a grill pan is a real challenge. This does the trick.

I first purchased a Wolfgang Puck cookware stainless steel set off QVC some 3-4 years ago to supplement an older Teflon set. Since then I have been pleased with the quality of the line and the way it cooks my food. Now I have decided to completely replace the supplement set and just use WP and have no regrets doing. I have not purchased any of the Teflon cookware but I might just to judge for myself.

From the picture online, the grill marks appear larger than they are in reality. I cooked a steak on the highest setting, sear at 550 degrees,for three minutes per side, and little if any grill marks appeared on the cooked steak. In its favor, the pan was easy to clean using Zud and a soft cloth on one side and nylon scrubbers on the other. I really would like to find a product equivalent to outside grilling. George Foreman grills gave similar results. Puck 10" grill pan was purchased at Amazon.

I purchased this Raclette Dec of 2001 and use it about 5 times a year. I bought it for my wife who spent 2 years in Germany. She says that it is very similar to the ones that she used and is very pleased with how it works. Many times when we invite guests over, we cook brautwurst and polish sausage (cut in 1/2 inch slices) on the top cooking surface. We then place choped veggies like squash, mushrooms, peppers, onions, and whatever else we want with the meal and cook them with the meat. A meal will usually take us 1-2 hours and you just keep eating and talking.

Below is a quick list of pros and cons:

Pros:

Cook top is hot enough to cook meats

A lot of room to cook on top

Nifty looking design

Very stable when placed on a table

The top surface is easy to clean (removes from the base)

8 trays if you have a crowd

Variable heat dial

Cons:

Trays can be tough to clean if food is overcooked

If food is spilled beneath the heating element it's tough to clean under it

Power cord not long enough (plan on an extention cord)

Angled trays make it a bit more work to scrape cheese out ( I think that a square tray would be easy-er).

Be sure to use the little scrapers that come with the Raclette or plastic utensils. Anything else will likely scratch the finish (we use tooth picks and wooden shish-ka-bob skewers).

I would reccomend this Raclette to anyone, it is an excelent product that I am sure will last many years. We have had much fun with it and all those that have used this Raclette have great things to say about it.

I bought this raclette maker for my boyfriend who was homesick for France. He's loving it. We sautee veggies and meats on the grill top, then add them to the small dishes with cheese and cooked potatoes and broil them under the coils(untraditional, but delicious).

The grill top is removeable, which makes it easy pop off and get into the sink, however I've noticed that some food stains the surface, and it can take a bit of scrubbing to remove.

The only real negative so far is the heating dial. You alter the heat of the coils by turning a dial, but it is impossible to tell by looking if the dial is set to low, medium or high. The only real way to know is by how loudly your food is sizzling. This one area truly needs to be redesigned.

Overall, it's a fine machine which will allow you to enjoy many warm, creative and delicious moments with friends and family. Now, if I could only find a decent raclette cheese!

Being Swiss, I know how what normal wear and tear is on a racelette oven. The oven itself is great, and the little pans are made of good non stick material. The top grill however is of very very poor quality. The coating was starting to chip, in addition to bubbles forming on the surface just after a couple of uses. I do NOT recommend this grill if you want to be grilling on top.

This is really a wonderful item. The grill heats evenly and to a very hot temperature so that food cooks quickly.

The pans are truly non-stick and the melted cheese slides out easily. A fun item for small dinner parties, as friends will quickly learn to use this item, even if they are not familiar with the tradition.

Only two flaws to this appliance: The electric cord is too short and requires an extention cord, and the non-stick cooking surface, while functional, is too thin and scratches easily, showing metal. Otherwise, you'll enjoy it.

Was thrilled to discover Raclette cooking last new year. Purchased this in April 2006 but just used it for the first time this past weekend. I agree with previous reviewers that the clearance between the little slide-in trays and the heating element is quite poor. Pile the food too high, even just a small to moderate amount is too high, and it starts to immediately smoke and burn. The top grilling surface is hard to clean, be sure to have a little non-stick cooking spray or olive oil on hand ahead of time to help. After one use the grilling surface already looks a year old with the amount of stains it has.

I was also surprised that at full power, the 'broiling' effect on the cooking of the food in the slide-in trays wasn't that strong and that food took a long time to cook. Haven't noticed any frailty in the food trays, but I will definitely be taking it easy with the grilling top surface.

Kind of disappointed. For the money it should have been better all around.

I actually use this to mop the floor behind my toilet. The area is hard to get to and very small, the sop mot fits easily, cleans well, and then I throw it in the washer! Nothing could be easier!

This bbq mop is basically worthless. The mop head just falls off while you are using it. Yeah, it's removable, but it should at least stay on while you are trying to use it for the intended purpose.

There isnt really much you can say about a sop-mop, but this was worth every penny. The handle is long, which is great because my grill is huge, and reaching in back to brush things with a paintbrush-style brush can lead to some singed hair. Anyway, the mop comes off for easy cleaning too.

Stainless Steel Wire Cooking Grid

I used some shortening to coat the grids and burned it off to burn in the oil as a protective layer. Wiped off the excess and this grates helped make some great steaks. The heat is evenly spreaded since it is a dome shape design on each of the elements so the inside of the meat is cooked evenly. The tips of the circular shape elements provide some nice grate marks. Once in a while, I would clean it off and apply the coat to keep that protective layer. Good grids!

I was concerned that since it was a bit cheaper than other SS racks that it may be of thinner gauge and would deflect (twist) with heat. It deflects about 1/4 " not bad and I would say acceptable expected. Have had it for a month and is used almost daily (no exaggeration). Sometimes the grill gets up to 500 degrees even then it may be slightly more than 1/4" definitely not more than 1/2". For the price good value.

The vent in our bathroom died recently, so seeing that it was a Nutone 665, I ordered this unit, assuming it would be easy to pull the old one out and replace it with this. Unfortunately, the housing has been redesigned for the worse. The old unit did indeed slide out very easily, leaving its hanger bars in the space above the ceiling. The new unit requires you to attach the hanger bars to the housing before installing it. Furthermore, the old unit had an opening for the power to come into the unit where the connections were light, vent, and heat were made. The new unit has these connections outside the housing.

Basically, I had to cut open a larger hole in the ceiling to allow for the hanger bars and give me space to hammer them in. The grille is barely larger than the housing, so now I have an ugly space surrounding the unit in the bathroom ceiling.

If they hadn't changed the design, I could have reconnected the power, slid the unit in, and hung it on the old hanger bars and written a 5-star review. The new design makes it much harder to install in a finished bathroom and I see no reason why it was changed. The old unit's design was far superior. If I fix the drywall and this unit dies, I'll have to cut the ceiling again to get it out. I'd rather just leave the hole and find some kind of frame to fit around the grille to hide the hole.

We had a 25 year old version of the same heat/vent/light which was still, amazingly, working. It was a bear to get down, but once we did, the new one installed easily in the same space. It's much quieter, heats the space more quickly, and looks great -the old one's grill had turned a murky yellow-orange and the light visor was bubbled. It's nice that we could get a similar but improved model that used the same sized hole.

I just purchased my home, where the previous owner had installed one of these in two bathrooms. One week later, within 24 hours, BOTH heaters broke. Since the whole thing is $80, and a new heating module is just a little less, I purchased this for the heater and for spare parts. I opened it up and the new heater module looked different from the old version. I called Nutone, and it turns out that even though the heater is modified, it still works with the old base. They emailed me a 1 page instruction sheet. Swapping the heater was straightforward, just two screws.

I hope the updated heater will be a little more robust. Time will tell, but $80 for the whole thing is a good deal. The individual components are overpriced.

EDIT: If replacing the heating unit in another unit already installed in the ceiling, you need 3 hands minimum: 1 to hold up the (heavy) heater, 1 to hold the screw which is IMPOSSIBLE to start by hand, and one hand to rig whatever crazy contraption you have to get access to the screw, shielded by a second piece of metal with a hole EXACTLY AS BIG AS THE SCREWHEAD, NO BIGGER so your screwdriver shaft won't actually fit through. I would have a few choice words to the designer who made the heater such a bitch to replace for no obvious reason.

I went almost a year with no exhaust fan in my 1/2 bath because the heater died, then the exhaust fan went. My home is old & I purchased it several years ago. I didn't think I could get one just like it, but this was the same as the old one, but easier to install. The electrical components were better! Great product!
