Tupperware Hamburger Freezer Set 4 Containers RED Seal

Tupperware Hamburger Freezer Set 4 Containers RED SealI have a set of Tupperware hamburger freezer containers that I have had for 30 years-still going strong but I wanted to double my capacity. I did so, but not in the way I expected. These are much larger than the old original containers and are great if you like to make 1/2 lbs. burgers, but I don't. I can use them by only filling them half-way, but because they are of a much larger diameter than my old ones, if I make 1/4 burgers they are rather flat. It never occurred to me to measure the diameter of the original containers and check to see if the size had changed over the years. Unfortunately, it has-like so many things in the food arena, these containers have been "super-sized".

West Bend 6111 Heart Smart Indoor Grill, Black

West Bend 6111 Heart Smart Indoor Grill, BlackI have used this grill with great pleasure. It's large enough to hold enough food for 4 servings, plus the griddle comes in handy for toasting buns and such. I haven't had it smoke at all. It grills just like outdoors, including the grill marks. And I can have something grilled and on the table fast. No one has to go out on the deck to cook. It's all done on the countertop. I can't say enough good things about this grill. Cleanup is easy and fast, two of my favorite words in the kitchen. I did a lot of research and reading reviews before making this purchase. I believe I found the best of the indoor grills out there.

I returned the Delonghi BG24 to buy this as they are almost identical but this one is a much better price. As a matter of fact, they are so similar they are probably manufactured by the same company.

There are only 2 differences:

* this one includes a skillet area on the grill plate, so smaller grilling area but you have a side part to grill onions or bacon for your burgers... the drip pan, base and lid are exactly the same

* this one states the grill piece is dishwasher safe, though the grill piece on the BG24 is almost the same, they state it is not dishwasher safe probably is though

It probably uses a lot of electricity, and does not have a true BBQ taste but it works well. I scrub the gril with a teflon safe sponge while on the base with drip pan still in place and then stick it in the diswasher. I don't even put the drip pan in diswasher b/c it is so easy to clean my hand , especially when coated with water.

This is a pretty big unit I'd actually prefer something smaller as I live by myself in a small nyc apt.

This grill is wonderful. With the glass lid, you place water in the pan below the grill and it keep meats and vegetables moist. There is no smoking on any of the items that I have cook. Heat up time is quick and clean up is easy. It has been so hot lately to grill outside, this is the next best thing. Wonderful product and I would purchase it again.

I bought this grill used off Amazon. I had been looking for some way to grill inside away from the stove. As an apartment dweller, I haven't had a real outside 'grill' area in a long time and I missed the taste a grill adds to hamburgers and hot dogs, not to mention the ease of grilling a steak. So I bought this one.

The best points of this grill is that you can put everything except the plastic stand in the dishwasher! So clean up is outstanding! You plug it all in like an electric fry pan, set the tempurature and when the light go off the food goes on. You get the lovely grill marks, the spaces on the grill allow the 'fat' to fall through but aren't wide enough to loose a hotdog (as on an outside grill). I have cooked hot dogs, hamburgers, Chicken, steaks, bacon and eggs (there is a flat area on one side). So far it has been a joy. It held a whole cut up chicken at one time!

The only downs are storage, I am in a small apartment and I have had to dedicate a portion of my counter to this appliance, but I end up using it a lot more than I would if I had a place to put it away. And the lid is almost flat. When I grill anything with hieght, like say BBQ chicken, the lid rests on the meat at an angle. I have tried tenting with foil but you loose the ability to see the food grilling.

I haven't tried any other indoor grills, other than the george foreman stuff and I like this west bend so much more than any of those!

After reading the many raving reviews, I was pumped up over the purchase of this grill. I'm pretty much a carnivore and eat a lot of meat. I recently bought a West Bend rotisserie oven and it works great, and I've been using it a lot, so I went with the West Bend brand again.

But I just returned the second unit (I returned the first one for an exchange) after a miserable experience of 50 minutes on High with a couple of brats, and they weren't very well done. Forget about ever searing a steak, or even fast cooking it at medium high. Maybe I got 2 defective units in a row, but I'm done with this West Bend 'grill'. Those that like a nice hot grill be forewarned.

Command of the Grill: A Salute to Steak

Command of the Grill: A Salute to SteakMy hat's off to the folks at Weber for putting together a collection of great grill recipes from the men and women of the Marine Corp. It's a great book and supports a worthy cause.

Found my copy at the hardware store in the town next to Camp Pendelton. Had to only slightly peruse through it to know it was a given for my cookbook collection. The personal anecdotes and the selection process for the recipes were also of interest. Tested and proven by the best, I can atest for the recipe that I chose to make on the grill last week. Besides, we owe the men so much in gratitude, this for the support of wounded Marines, call it just one more appropriate way that we can express it. Get your copy, its a worthy purchase that you will enjoy for a long time to come.

I genuinely believe that this book is an absolute must for any serious "Grill Sergeant." This book contains great recipes created by our finest men and women in the armed forces. To their food, and their sacrifice, I would genuinely like to say, "Thank you."

I cook on the grill for most of our meals, and we enjoy our beef. We raise beef cattle, and take pride in our product, and the recipes in this book are excellent. They bring out the best flavors of the meat without having to mask it with sauces, etc. Prior to getting this book, I basically just seasoned and BBQd. These have taught me how to bring out the juices and flavors with a minimum of effort! I would highly recommend this as a must-have in your recipe library.

Weber 7404 Cast Iron Griddle

Weber 7404 Cast Iron GriddleAfter much confusion over which griddle would work with my new Summit 670 LP Grill I finally contacted Weber directly who told me that the 7404 was the correct product. Weber offered to sell it to me but as I'm an Amazon Prime member I could not pass up the "free" 2nd day shipping I could get direct from Amazon on this product.

This is a very heavy porcelain enameled griddle that is reversible (you can see both sides of it in the product photo). I gave it a very light and fast wash with some dish soap and warm water and then dried it thoroughly.

The first time I used the griddle I gave it a heavy spray of olive oil and let the grill get up to about 400 degrees. I have observed you will get very fast and thorough heat by applying direct burner heat under the griddle as well as turning on a different burner to medium temperature for ambient heat.

Made some fish on this and it came out wonderfully (I used the textured side for the fish and there was no fall apart of the fish as is typical when being cooked directly on the stainless grates on the grill itself). I really look forward to using the smooth side of this for making breakfast items, fajitas and other things that will cook great on the grill.

Clean up is a bit of a headache as you must take the heavy griddle off of the grill, bring it into your kitchen and clean it up. Arguably if the griddle is well seasoned you can just give it a quick wipe down with a cloth.

So why only 4 stars? Well, the griddle fits the grill so tightly that you actually can't put it at either end of the grill, due to the bolts on the back of the grill pushing the griddle forward just a bit so you can't close the lid of the grill. You need to scoot the griddle a couple of inches over to clear this bolt if you want to close the lid (which you probably do).

The other issue I have is that there is no good way to store this. It would have been nice to see something like a liner, etc, that could be used to encapsulate this so you could store it in the grill cart. If you just slide this in it will scratch up the finish on your grill, you don't want that!

All in all this is a reasonable value for money paid, it's a great addition to your Summit 600 series and makes even more flexible cooking on the grill possible.

There are other griddles here at Amazon that should fit the S-400 line, but in fact only this one does.

Heavy griddle, excellent cooking. I replaced one of the two grates with it.

Some folks complain about the weight, but you need a griddle to be this massive to properly cook. As usual. Weber has built a product specific to the Summit grills that reflects the kind of cooking folks do on this product. For fish, veggies, and even the more unusual (ie. lobster) you can't beat this

This is a nice griddle. I recommend seasoning it on the oven, not on the grill or it may cook your oil instead of seasoning the skillet. It works well, arrived with no defects, warps, etc. The only thing I would like to see is a slight slant to the oil drain. When you're cooking bacon, the skillet is flat: therefore, you have to manually pull the grease toward the drain not a huge deal but could be fixed.

I love to grill veggies. I've tried 3-5 different grill baskets to hold veggies and each have their own problems can't shut the grill cover, impossible to clean, etc. A friend uses a griddle and suggested I give it a try.

Overall I'm very pleased with it. I am giving it 4 stars because there is only 1 drain hole (at 1 end, in the center) and there is a raised edge around the entire surface. When I load this up with veggies soaked in a marinade the excess marinade can't easily run off and instead ends up being charred. I do need to re-level my grill so it's angled so the drain hole can act as a drain...apparently my grill is tilted to the left so the drain hole doesn't do its job.

One side of the griddle is flat, which is the side I always use. The other side has cross hatches which would be perfect for searing meats. I don't use it because it is a hassle to try and flip a hot griddle mid-grill session. One side for steaks, the other side for veggies

Yes, I should probably use less marinade but I'm too lazy to measure the 'just right' amount. Plus I like to have it run onto the 'flavor bars' or whatever Weber calls them as I trick myself into believing it makes the food taste better.

If you use dry rubs or use marinade sparingly, then I'm guessing you'll rate this a 5.

Elizabeth Karmel's 15-inch Double Kabob Skewers, Set of 4

Elizabeth Karmel's 15-inch Double Kabob Skewers, Set of 4The double skewer design is great. The tines are nice and long, the pointy bits are good and sharp and go through everything I tried them on. The problem is the slippery round handle. You have to grip the food itself to turn the skewer over. If you're doing tomatoes, you're going to wreck one, and if you're doing chicken you just touched raw meat with the tongs and have to go clean them. It would be better if the handle had a flattened end so you could grip that for turning. My other single metal skewers have a ring-shaped end which you can grab easily for turning.

The main problem I have when making kabobs is when i go to turn them, half ot the stuff on the skewer spins and half doesn't so part of the food burns and part doesn't cook evenly. This solves that problem quite nicely. I wish the handles were a little longer but otherwise I am very happy. They are well made too and worth the extra money.

These had mostly everything I sought after in a set of BBQ skewers--the double-prongs, the slider bar to remove food, the longer length, stainless steel construction. The wooden handles on other skewers look great and are easier to handle, but I felt I'd burn them to a crisp long before I had gotten my use out of them; so these were more practical and long lasting. I bought 2 sets and used them already for chunks of Vidalia onions grilled on the BBQ. The onions threaded easily and stayed put. I am looking forward to using these all summer long. Come nicely boxed for gift giving as well.

These are a cost-effective answer to the problem of pieces of meat or vegetables not turning properly during the grilling process. When you turn the skewer, everything turns with it. Brilliant!

A must have for serious grilling. The double prong enables total control while turning your food on the grill. I was tired of free spinning food on my single prong skewers, this has eliminated all the hassle. I spray the skewers with Pam before adding meat and veggies.. Clean up is easy but be careful the handle does become hot during cooking.

Panini Grill (Refurbished)

Panini GrillReceived this as a gift and thought it was great but, probably like many kitchen appliances, would not be used often. I don't use it everyday, but I use it a lot and not just for sandwiches. I have cooked shrimp, fish, garlic bread, and chicken and have been very pleased with the results. It is an absolutely great way to reheat leftover pizza since it crisps the bottom as well as heating it through. We have had the press for a year and my husband and I both use it once or twice a week. I believe the label 'panini press' implies it is more limited than it is. It has variable height and heat, with a sear setting, so it is really quite versatile. I plan to give 2 as Christmas presents this year. Also, it is very easy to clean with a damp cloth, but it might be nice to have removable plates and it should have a power button rather than turning on/off using the plug.

I have used both the Cuisinart and now the Breville so glad I have the Breville!

I used the Cuisinart Gourmet grill at my daughters' house and decided I had to have one. While researching I found this Breville and chose it because it seemed sturdier and more substantial; it stored upright out of the way; and it was about $25 cheaper. I made a great decision. I have had it about a month and have used it for toast, quesadillas, chicken breast, paninis, grilled cheese and I even cooked bacon strips in it! (Multiple settings make this possible.) I have a small kitchen and very few one-use appliances. This little guy stores upright out of the way but easy to get to...love it.

The grills aren't removable but they are still very easy to clean. I am thinking about getting one of these for my mom. Definitely would recommend it.

After a good deal of research, I purchased two of these for Christmas gifts. I was a little worried about the idea of giving refurbished grills for gifts, but both of our kids said they are wonderful. Because of their reviews, I will be replacing my panini maker with this one!

We first saw this model in action from a family member who had paid full price. We have been very happy with our grilled sandwiches. Thanks to Amazon reviews, we also found out that it is great for reheating pizza when you let the top plate hover over the toppings instead of touching like you do with a sandwich. The best part is that the top is hinged so that you can adjust the height. There were no signs that this was a refurbished item. We've had it for a couple of months and use it at least once a week.

This item was returned because the handle was broken in many pieces. I had read reviews of the product and similar complaints were posted. I could have taken that as my clue.
