This is superior to many of the other stainless steel wipes because of the mineral oil it contains. I was so sorry I had stainless appliances until I found these wipes. I had tried so many other products and most just left more streaks or they didn't remove buildup. I also use it on my stainless sinks, no more water spots. You do need to go over the refrigerator and other appliances that are low to the ground with a clean dry cloth after using these to remove excess oil or else pet hair will stick to it.

My wife and I recently purchased 3 new GE Profile stainless steel appliances for our kitchen. We liked the modern look of stainless steel, but were apprehensive about consumer complaints about how difficult they were to keep clean. I did some research on various cleaners, and came across the series of Cerama Bryte products. I went to their website and read several customer reviews which offered glowing reports of their products. I went to Amazon to see if they offered the product, and purchased them through an affiliate supplier for a cheaper price than I could have purchased them from Cerama Bryte directly.

These wipes perform brilliantly. I just wipe the surface, wait a few seconds, and wipe clean with a microfiber cloth. Fingerprints and food stains come off effortlessly. Our appliances are almost 5 months old now, and they look as new as the day they arrived. One wipe can be used on all 3 appliances (refrigerator, stove, and microwave oven). I usually wipe them down once every 5 days, so a canister will last about a month or more. Such an easy product to use and the results are outstanding. If you are looking for a stainless steel cleaner, this is definitely the one!

they work but leave streak and you have to re-wipe with clean cloths after use and does not keep finger mark off. The polishing cream works better

Soapstone Griddle

The griddle works great in the over on my stovetop and while grilling. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it is so heavy I sometimes think of other cooking methods that are not so cumbersome. Couldn't they make it a bit thinner to decrease the weight?

Heated it slowly on a woodstove to about 250 degrees, then put it on the gas stove with a medium flame--cracked within a minute. Don't believe those pix on the website showing flames! Waste of money.

George Foreman GGR50 Indoor/Outdoor Grill

Before I get into this review, we have to understand the product we are looking at: a George Foreman ELECTRIC grill. George Foreman products are essentially useful variations of hotplates. In this case, the hot plate takes the form of a grill (with a stand, a dome cover, a large cooking surface with raised grooves etc...).

That being said, this product caters to people (me) willing to try a product that is not a traditional charcoal grill, could be useful in smaller spaces/porches, looks like it is easy to use and clean up, could potentially cut some fat (never hurts, right?), and seems like it will work well as a good back-up grill or a quick solution to throwing mini-bbqs requiring even heat distribution without the hassle of buying/lighting/dumping coal. If that's you, then read on...

Here, I'll try my best to outline the grill's pros and cons, as well as do a quick, inevitable comparison it to a traditional charcoal grill.

PROS:

The pros of this grill basically equal the pros of using hot plates in general:

1) Quick Heat The whole surface heats up very quickly (you'll be ready to cook in a few minutes after you twist the switch)

2) Design Basically you have the stand, a bottom dome, the flat grill that sits on the bottom dome, then the lid (top dome). You can easily remove the flat grill part to use indoors separate from the stand, and it also makes for easy cleaning since you can just throw the flat grill surface in the sink.

3) Easy to Clean The grill surface is relatively easy to clean. Understand, grease is never easy to clean. But in my situation, i wipe off the chunks of grease with paper towels, then run hot water over it in the sink (yes it fits in my sink) and wash it with a soapy sponge. It's basically like cleaning a big oily plate by hand in the sink, however easy or hard that is to you.

4) Space Saving The bulk of the materials are where it should be: the grilling surface. Everything else (aka the stand) is small and portable.

5) Easy to Assemble A no brainer. Put the pole of the stand into the foot of the stand. Attach the grilling surface to the bottom dome. Stick that whole thing on the stand. Then put the cover on top. Took a few minutes while I was watching TV.

6) Great Tasting Food Of course this part is important. I tried cooking everything unseasoned and it just tastes great. I mean, this this one thing I love about hotplates...food tastes good without a lot of seasoning. I cooked unseasoned burgers, top sirloin, chuck roast, kielbasa..it was fast, it tasted good, and it had good looking grill stripes on it when I was done.

Cons:

Seriously, not much that I can think of. If I had to be picky:

1) Could be a little heavy for people with a bad back?

2) When you lift it by the handles, the stand comes out (since they're not really "attached"....the grill just sits on the stand.) So you gotta lift it by the pole of the stand, really...this isn't even a con truthfully.

3) People complain about the grease not dripping into the pan. Well, it's a hot plate with grooves and a hole in it for grease to drip. Of course not all the grease magically swims toward the magical grease drip hole. But still, it works fine...I didn't notice sever grease build-up that stood in the way of my grilling.

Comparison to a Traditional Grill:

Really, there shouldn't be a comparison. Obviously this is not a charcoal grill and should never be compared to one. They are just 2 different things, and so they make food taste different: traditional grills basically fire cook your food through the coal's heat so you get the taste of charcoal while this product essentially "pan sears" your food. I'm a long time lover of all kinds of BBQ, and charcoal grills are great fun, make great tasting food and really cannot be replicated. You shouldn't be buying this grill to ever *REPLACE* a charcoal grill; it should be bought to be a 2nd grill that's great for rainy days or a primary grill if you really have no space and don't have time/space to deal with lighting and dumping charcoal.

Overall, this grill is an electric hot plate with raised grooves that makes great tasting food quickly, quietly, and easily. And for what it is, it's a SUPERB product (and relatively affordable too!). Go get one! I didn't regret my purchase and I don't think you will either.

Originally I saw my mother's George Forman grill (smaller indoor one with lid). Then I saw my brother's Party Size grill. Both of them love their grill. I was able to taste the food from both and found it very tasty and easy to use. I decided to do some investigating on my own intending to purchase the party size grill, when I saw the indoor/outdoor grill. I was impressed with the fact that it appeared to be a bigger cooking surface and the price I found was within reason. I purchased it for the purpose of using it as an extra grill for a cookout I was having. No one used the gas grill at all. I have since used it indoors without the stand, making it convient on rainy days. It is the easiest grill to use and clean that we have ever owned. You can cook everything evenly, because there are no coals to level out. It can easily hold 4 to 5 steaks, 10 big hamburgers, and the list goes one. I am sure there are some drawbacks to those that swear by gas/charcoal grills, but my gas grill has found a permanent residence in our shed, while George sits ready to use at any time indoors or out on our back porch. I am so impressed, that I am purchasing one for my parents for Christmas, to replace the charcoal grill that takes for ever to heat up and messy to clean. I'm sure they'll love it too!

I bought this grill 4 months ago and have used it several times per week ever since. I am a very lazy cook with 3 hungry teens and a hubby who eats like he's a heavyweight boxer. So, I needed something that would cook and clean-up as easily as possible. I can turn on the grill (it has an adjustable thermostat), take out a package of frozen chicken, hamburger patties, whatever, prepare it as usual, and the grill is ready to go to work. Dinner is on the table in no time. Its non-stick surface is just that, making clean-up simple and quick.

I am quite happy with the surface area, as I can easily fit 8 large burgers on at once. I live in the frozen north, so the fact that this grill will also work indoors is plus.

It's portable, reliable, easy to use and clean, and a bargain compared to other outdoor grills.

George put his name on a very good product.

Update: I have owned this grill for 2 1/2 years now and it still works like new!

Let's get right to it:

Pros:

1. Can be used on decks and balconies where gas or charcoal are forbidden as a fire risk.

2. Small footprint, can be used tableside or on pedestal

3. Foreman (Salton) quality is reliable

4. No gas or charcoal lighter flavor--great if you are chemically sensitive (I happen to be.)

5. Quick heating

6. No need to replenish a gas bottle or run out of charcoal.

Now the Cons:

1. Be careful of the fat drainage; if you clog the hole, it can get ugly, real ugly.

2. On that note, if you have a composite deck--one made of resin and sawdust or even a wood deck, any spilled fat or juices will stain your planks. An outdoor rug or mat under the grill is a good idea--something that will catch drips.

3. The grill really isn't as hot as really hot charcoal or gas and you won't get that char-broiled taste. No different than cooking indoors.

4. Requires an outlet.

This type of grill is very common in Europe, where charcoal and gas are not popular or outright forbidden (for example, in Germany, where fires are taken seriously. In a country where houses are cheek-by-jowl, fire prevention is of primary concern.) If you are in an area that does not allow open fire or outdoor grilling, this is a very excellent alternative.

My only problem is the "convenient" drip pan. Maybe i'm the only one who likes to cook more than one thing at a time; but anyways, the fat and juices of the meat quickly overflowed the tiny drip pan and ran out the bottom making a mess everywhere. The "convenient" drip pan is located under the hot metal plate and you just try and empty it while cooking. Luckily I was cooking outside!! The grill works surprisingly well and the food produced was just excellent. Be aware of this problem or you might not be so lucky.

I returned this cover. It was all glass not part metal and glass as indicated in the picture. The description did not indicate it as all glass or part metal and glass. Had only the picture to go by. Was not feasible for us since the top would be moved each weekend. The glass, also, was not stable when put together. If it was stationary, maybe, but each time we moved it on our counter it wanted to separate. Would need to be caulked as someone else noted in earlier reviews. Came with no instructions, either. Not a good fit for us.

I love it. It fits nice on the Great Northern Hotdog grill. It's great for party's. It was easy to install.

expected this product to be plastic or plexiglass, but was really surprised that is was actually made of glass, and heavy glass at that. Assembly is easy and instructions are good. It makes clean up much easier by being glass.

Charcoal Companion Nonstick Chili Pepper Shape Roasting Rack

We have used our jalapeno roasting rack many times this summer and we love it. We tried the recipe that came with it with some modification and it's very tasty prosciutto and cheese, how can you go wrong? The only criticism is the same as others we read peppers that fit the openings are hard to find. Never expected to be picking through the produce looking for the smallest peppers.

The holes for the Chilis are too small. It won't hold a decent sized Pepper.....They fall out of the hole. It would be better to split the Chilis lengthwise and lay them on a cookie sheet or piece of Aluminum Foil to roast them.

The roaster is a great idea, we love the peppers that we roasted with it, but we only used it once due to it's poor design. The holes are too small to securely hold most peppers, so you have to kind of jam them in an hope. It's also awfully tipsy when loaded with stuffed peppers. I dumped most of it's contents twice while filling it, and keeping everything upright on the way to the grill was a task, one pepper never made it! I'm looking at alternative products since the result was so enjoyable.

It's a great idea, we were really looking forward to roasted stuffed jalapenos. Unfortunately only the very smallest of peppers fit in the holes,others balance precariously dripping cheese. I would have preferred fewer larger holes. Will be looking for replacement now that I know they're out there.

Nordic Ware Snowman Pan

I have to disagree with everything previously stated by the first reviewer...except one...This might not be a project for young children.

The snowman comes out of the pan perfectly IF YOU PROPERLY GREASE and FLOUR the pan. I will admit it isn't as easy to get the flour around in all the nooks and crannies as it is on regular cake pans but that is a minor point. The cake, anyway mine, came out without a hitch and the pan was clean devoid of any cake clinging to the pan that would be difficult to clean. I will admitt I have had very involved decorative molds that can be pesty but this is NOT ONE OF THEM.

I used the cake recipe on the pan. I'm going to use a cake mix, however, in the future that has additions to make the cake more dense than a regular cake mix cake.

I have all the stuff to decorate this cute snowman but it is a little early so he will go in the freezer for a week or so.

Don't be put off by the other review.

I bought this mold last year. It is hard to get the belly of the snowman cooked without over cooking the hat. If your cake mix is thick enough you can fill the hat really full and scoop out the middle of the belly and it will help. The finished cake is very delicate if you use a regular yellow cake mix. Perhaps a heavier cake would work better. Trim the part of the cake that is puffed up over the edges of the mold with a knife before assembling. It is cutest when left plain and decorated. Trying to frost it is very hard.

The whole process of baking and decorating this cake was just short of a complete disaster. Baking is easy enough...

But then you have to try to get the snowman out of the pan, without destroying him. Maybe with a great amount of patience, you could swing it. He has to have his two halves put together with royal icing, and then sit for about 24 hours. Decorating was fun, but I'm not sure the entire process was worth it.

Clean up was another ordeal. It took 4 washings, each time I used the pan, to get it completely clean. Many, Many nooks and crannies that get missed.

If you have the patience, by all means...but don't think this is a nice afternoon craft with the kids!

Char-Broil 8985027 Porcelain Wire Grid Brush

Purchased the charbroil porcelain wire grid grate grill cleaner. I really like it, it gets between the grill and cleans the stuck on food, all I do later is brush it with a wire brush and its clean. Really happy with the product, the price is crazy. I bought something really similar to this at home depot a few years ago, they no longer carry it, I paid something like $4.00. This was about the same, but add shipping and you're paying $12.00 for a $4.00 item. Guess amazon has to make money too!

A bit of a mess to clean the brush, however, it cleans the grill as expected. The grill comes out cleanly when used.

I've owned one of these "turbo" type brushes previously with an older grill and it worked great. My new Char-Broil grill has larger grill grates (larger diameter bars and greater spacing between bars). This brush still does a pretty good job, but it's not as well suited to the larger grates. Still, it does the job without much effort. Although I do wish it had a longer handle as I find it easier to brush the grates while the grill is warm. About half way through the task my knuckles were getting toasty. :-) But for six bucks as an add-on item to another order it's worth the price.

Use it clean a porcelain grill because it is not suppose to scratch the grate. Seems to do the job to scrap off the old burnt grime. Would give it 5 stars but the length is short and I sometimes start the grill before I clean it.
