Vintage Faberware Rotisserie Grill Indoor Hearth Broiler INCOMPLETE

I have been using this Rotisserie for over twenty years and my Mom had one before that which she used for at least as long. It makes THE most tender, delectable, juicy, flavorful chicken you will ever put in your mouth with a delicious crispy skin that is also out of this world. (Yes, we eat the skin, but we watch our saturated fats elsewhere in order to enjoy this delicacy)

A few years ago my Mom bought me one of those "Set it and forget it" enclosed Rotisserie ovens. It does not make anywhere near as good a chicken as this Farberware Rotisserie. It cooks it faster so it is not as tender and because it is enclosed the skin does not get crispy.And cleaning it was nearly impossible! I gave that Rotisserie away, and now only use my Farberware.

Also there is a grill piece you can put in so you can grill steaks, porkchops or whatever you want on it. I rarely use this, but occassionally if we're planning to grill and realize we're out of charcoal we'll use this to grill our steaks. I gave this Rotisserie to my stepson's mother and they grill on it quite often!

The way I fix my chicken is to put it on the spit and while it is turning sprinkle it liberally with garlic salt, lemon pepper and paprika. (The paprika also helps to give it a beautiful brown color)

I usually get a chicken between four to four and a half pounds and cook it for three and a half to four hours depending on the size.

You can also cook cornish game hens, and tomorrow night for New years I am going to cook a duck on it!

The only drawback as far as I am concerned is that because it takes so long to cook, you do have to plan ahead to be home for several hours before you plan to eat.

Usually soaking the parts in warm water for a few minutes is enough to soften the baked on spatter and a toothbrush helps to clean the small hard to reach areas. A few sprays of oven cleaner will help to loosen any stubborn baked on spatter.

Our dogs also LOVE it when we drizzle the drippings left in the bottom pan over their dog food!

Also, my first motor lasted over ten years, and the one I have now is still going strong after another ten years. Since they're relatively inexpensive I have a spare just in case this one ever gives out and they have been discontinued.

As you can probably tell I can not praise this appliance enough. And generally I am not an appliance person and can not stand having to clean things with multiple parts. But this is well worth it. And once you taste a chicken off of it I think you will agree.

I just bought a replacement for the one I used for over 20 years. No rotisserie offed today will do what this model will, too bad they quit making it. I was glad Amazon was able to put me in touch with someone who had a used model. In years past I've cooked turkeys, duel chickens,boneless pork roasts but the best is a beef rib roast with garlic and rosemary! Everything was always better cooked on the rotisserie.

I had one of these originaly, but it disapeared. When I finally found this one, I bought it. Although it was advertised as "used" I could not tell it. It is as remembered and I love it. I don't know why Farberware stopped making them because they are teriffic.

My parents has one and we used it all the time in the 60's. I got it in the 80's and used through the 90's. The rotisserie finally died and we tossed it out. I'm looking for one now.

No longer available, but take heart. They are all over E-bay for about $40. I got a good lightly used one, $42 and that included shipping. They are one of the easiest to use, finest ways to cook any meat, beef, foul, pork, ribs, you name it. Makes the kitchen smell great too, and easy to clean, dishwasher safe.

Heavy Large Cast Iron Reversible Stovetop Griddle

This griddle is much more generous in size than any other griddle I have found. The placement of the handles provides a good compromise of cooking surface to handle.

Since it lacks that grease channel that most other griddles have, you gain that in usable cooking surface. You don't need a lot of grease to keep foods from sticking to cast iron, particularly the griddle side. Also, other griddles have a slight slope to them for that grease to drain toward the grease well . . . which means, lopsided pancakes.

The grill side is also more evenly spaced than other griddles and makes for great panini sandwiches.

The preseasoning was acceptable, but all cast iron gets better with age and more seasoning. All in all, a great griddle/grill and great price. I use it almost daily. Only regrets are that it's not a little bigger to fit better over electric burners and that it's not an American made product.

Quality of product is very poor. Hoping that after seasoning and using over time I will have a decent griddle. This is the only griddle that actually fits on my gas stove. The size is perfect.

Weber 6494 12-Inch 3-Sided Grill Brush

This brush does the job as intended. I have had no problems with it, and have been placing pressure on the handle to get the scrubbing done. It covers a wider area for cleaning than the traditional square shaped brushes.

This Weber stainless steel wire grill brush really does the job! The angled corners allow you to clean those 'difficult to reach' corners of the cooking surface. It's very sturdy and should last several years.

The main surface scrubs the grill quickly and the corners/ends are great for getting into the tighter areas. I use this on my Weber Q 320 and it works very well.

We have a large grille with stainless steel grates and this brush handles cleaning it fine. It is a comfortable design to work with.

I got this brush over the one with the longer metal handle because I wanted to be able to scrub as hard as I needed to without the metal part bending. This brush works great for getting in the small grating of the q100. Bristles seems sturdy so I don't have to worry about them breaking off on the grill. Never buying cheap brushes again for that reason.

Bialetti Collection 11 Inch Square Griddle Italian

i suppose what matters most is "how does it cook?" the answer is "surprisingly well". i/ve used the griddle about a dozen times now...... (grilled cheese on sourdough, pancakes, hamburgers (!), breakfast meats) and nothing has even thought about sticking. and it is very easy to clean.

the reason i am surprised by its performance is because it is much THINNER and lighter-weight than i expected. when it arrived... i took one look and regreted my purchase. but it has proved my first impression wrong.

no scratches or durability concerns yet..... but i am very gentle with my cookware. i'll post an update if durability ever becomes a problem.

This Grill Gazebo is great. I have a lot of cookouts and my son is the grill master so I thought I could at least give him some shade from the sun while he is cooking. Handy Gourmet Pancake Batter Dispenser

This thing leaks so badly. I know this thing is cheap but just don't waste your money...

I had previously given this item a 1 star because it leaked horribly. After contacting their customer service they offered to take back the item and even paid for postage and would ship another replacement BUT only if I removed my initial negative review. I agreed to remove it and wait for the replacement but apparently I did not remove the review correctly or they didn't see the updated removal or whatever. They subsequently sent me what I perceived to be a stern email stating the "I had promised to remove this review in return for a replacement dispenser". That said, I asked for a refund because I did not like their tone in their emails nor their requirement to remove negative comments in order to obtain a replacement for what was a DEFECTIVE ITEM in the first place!! They should stand behind the items they sell regardless whether a customer posts negative information about it. I even offered to post positive feedback once I received the replacement and tested it to make sure the 2nd one worked. Guess that wasn't good enough and they would rather lose a customer over a $13 item. So be it..consider it done...

They said they have issued a refund and I'm glad I won't be doing business with them any further...

Had to add this comment--anyone who gives this item 5 stars either works for this company or is using a different brand because this thing did nothing but leak...when I say leak..I mean constant puddle of batter on my counter which is why I went back to the good old bowl with pouring lip and spatula...works better than this piece of junk!!! I'm starting to question all these "positive" reviews that I see on Amazon because when I've used various products that were inferior YET I see all these raves reviews it makes me question the integrity of these reviews...no way the exact same product worked differently...sorry, I just don't believe any of these 5 star reviews...the product simply doesn't warrant 5 stars to begin with..it's not that good. If the thing leaks..then it doesn't do what it promises....how can anyone gives this item a pass when it doesn't do what it was designed to do..HOLD BATTER!!

After using the item maybe 2 times and falling in love the plastic tab that attaches to the metal piece to pull the bottom shut between each pancake disconnected. After contacting the company and receiving no help what so ever I am left with a broken product. Save your money and buy the expensive one first.

Cuisinart CBO-1000 Oven Central Countertop Oven, Brushed Stainless

The CBO-1000 is very handy. I'm no cook, but within a few days of ownership I've made hamburgers, jalapeno-cheese cornbead and shish kebab. It is easy to clean, heats up quickly and doesn't take up much space. I would wholeheartedly recommend it as a countertop cooking appliance that does a lot.

However, I have one complaint and it's significant. The knob on the right that turns the unit on and also serves as a timer seems to have melted so that it no longer engages the stem. I can do all the same functions by sticking a screwdriver into a slot in the stem and twisting, but I definitely have a product that failed on the third round of cooking.

I hope Cuisinart will consider this problem and provide purchasers with knobs that don't succumb to the heat. I am in no way recommending that consumers substitute a screwdriver for the knob. IT MIGHT BE DANGEROUS. Consumers shouldn't have to jury-rig a device that costs $129 and fails in three rounds of cooking.

I'd give this four or maybe five stars if the knob hadn't failed.

I was trying to give her the serial number when cut me off. I hope this is not a reflection on the company's products and customer care.
