Scanpan Classic 10-1/2-Inch Square Grill Pan

This is a fantastic grill pan. Everything I've done it, from salmon to chicken to steaks, has nicely seared and cooked well. Actually, it has cooked medium-rare.

Clean up is very easy. No more work than cleaning a coated non-stick and way easier than cast iron grill pan I use to have.

This is my first Scanpan product. It won't be my last.

I bought my first Scanpan set in 1990 and the frypans did lose their non-stick abilities over the past 17 years. Last week, in accordance with their lifetime warranty, I returned 4 pans to them and today four brand NEW Scanpan replacements showed up. It was time for a new one. It is the best skillet I have owned and with the glass domed lid that cooks the interior of your food and seals in the flavor, you can cook anything to perfection. I love this pan.

I purchased a full Scanpan cook set, along with several additional pieces, including the 10.5" square grill pan. Luckily, these have a lifetime warranty, as I've sent 3 pieces back due to the non-stick coating failing, and recently this grill pan also started flaking off the non-stick coating on the top of several of the grill ridges. I'll be sending back for a replacement, then packing up for use later as they are nice heavy pans. Scanpan may have changed the coating process recently, as my pans are 4 years old now. With so many pans out for replacement, I purchased an All-Clad set, however, I just say the replacement process went smoothly.

I am now looking for a good grill pan and will probably try a Calaphon square grill pan, as my friend swears by hers which is over a year old, uses it several days a week, and still holding up. I rated it a 3, but would rate other Scanpans a 4.

I've gone through many gas grills over the years, & this is the best way to grill indoors. Been using it to make turkey burgers every weekend for over 2 months, & I really like this pan. Food doesn't stick to it, it's solid, easy to clean, & the price was very reasonable. Definitely would recommend it to others.

UPDATE: after 1 year, the coating started rubbing off. I replaced this with a Lodge cast iron grill pan. Only thing that could flake off now is olive oil. I doubt that'll negatively affect me.

I received this item and was amazed at how cheaply it was constructed. Several of the pieces had splintering wood handles. The tongs looked (and felt) like the wood had actually broken in half and had been glued back together. If I had used the set, I would have suffered from large splinters. I had this set in my possession for 15 mins before I got the return information. And it looks like I will have to pay for the return shipping to get a refund at all. Trust me, spend more money on a quality product. This experience has really reinforced the saying that "You get what you pay for"!

Don't waste your money on this! And, I would be cautious of buying anything from this shipper (Furniture Creations) if this is representative of their products!!

Chef'n Mini Burger Machine Mini Burger Press

I wasn't sure how it was going to be able to clean properly, considering it's used for raw meat. I was pleased that it came apart so that it could be cleaned properly. However, I didn't end up using it for the party I bought it for, so I returned it. It's a great little item for the price though.

We are purchasing a second fan of this type. Ours worked for 5+ years, on almost all the time, quietly keeping the air moving in a room we call the "Garden Room" because that's where we have our houseplants and orchids (which thrive with a little air moving as long as they don't dry out.) We didn't use the timer. The oscillation feature seems to work fine without the fan moving (only the outer grill does). This also seems to keep the fan from being too noisy. Very pleased with the product and the company.

Timer is annoying, have to keep turning it when it shuts off automatically. Also don't be deceived by the "so-called-Oscillating" feature cuz it does not spin or rotate to get air in all areas.

Charcoal Companion SpaceSaver Non-Stick Rib Grilling Rack

Very flimsy rack. Narrow openings, so as you push the ribs into the racks, each rack has a tendency to pop out of its anchor holes! It is way too fiddly and not robust enough for the job. I was very dissapointed with this product. Although it seems a good idea to get a collapsible rack, this one is just too much hassle. As you pull the cooked meat out, yes you guessed it, the thing falls apart.

This is my second rib rack purchased and I should have looked at my existing rack before clicking "buy". This one is a bit narrower and there is no bottom lip to cradle the ribs. My first rack has a J shape to each of the racks that allows the ribs to sit nicely and not sag.

Other than that this rack was packaged well, went together well and is currently sitting in my smoker. 3 hours can not go by fast enough.

Rome Grill Basket

This is an awesome product perfect for grilling veggies and/or meat over an open flame. It's sturdy and cleans pretty well with a brush or steel wool. It's big and has a super long handle to keep you hands away from the flame. Great price too!

Simply put I wish I'd ordered a non-stick version of this product. Even when you coat the basket with oil, fish ends up sticking to it and falling apart as you try to remove it. It may work fine for other items, but if you plan to use this item to grill fish, I'd get a non-stick one instead.

we've had this grill basket for about 4 years, and we use it on every camping trip. It's great for chicken, steaks, pork chops, burgers, toast, you name, it's cookable in this basket!!! It has now seen better days, and time for a new one as it has fallen apart. But we are not too delicate with our camping cooking tools!

small mesh makes it great for vegetables or fish. The metal handle can get very hot, so be careful around the kids. Clean up is tough, as is the problem with all baskets. I had to crimp the hinge tighter as the basket pieces came apart, but other than that, good product.

I read a number of reviews of similar products, including non-stick versions before buying this. This product has a chrome, not a non-stick, finish but nothing sticks to it. the simple trick and I assume it would work with failing 'non-stick' products also, is to heat the basket to grill/fire temperature before putting the vegetables or fish in it. Sure it's a little more complicated, but the results are worth it. Just used ours for the first time tonight. We heated the basket on the grill then opened it up (still on the grill) poured in the vegetables which were marinaded in an oil base, closed up the basket and cooked for 5 +5 minutes each side. Veggies came our perfectly grilled, nice grill marks on them from the basket not one stuck to the basket. Now enjoying the fruits of my labor, A nice cab and no pesky washing up to do!

When I moved into my new house, it was about 5 weeks before I had time to completely unpack (and find) all the boxes for my kitchen. It was my Swiss-mar grill/raclette that served as my only prep appliance during that time. The cast-iron surface was big enough to toast bread, cook a couple of little sausages or a small steak, fry up eggs, grill some shrimp or a good-sized fish filet, or grill/stir fry a few veggies for dinner every day. And of course, the toasty cheese broiled under the grill plate was always a great winter meal....

The cast iron is heavy and durable -pre-seasoned and easy to clean. It also heats evenly enough to use a small skillet on top of the actual grill-plate. It might have overheated a kitchen during summer, but in winter -the radiant cast iron was perfect.

BBQ Grill Light and Fan

Bought two of this particular grill light for sons birthday gifts and they are very happy with them. Great for those who are hard to buy for.

What a phenomenal disappointment in relation to the cost of this item. I gave this as a gift to my best friend's husband for his birthday. You can't imagine my embarrassment when he opened this. The box it came in measured 20" x 9" and the product itself is only 16" x 3". The little fans are just THREE INCHES in diameter!! On top of that, it was broken in the box. The item had clearly been dropped, as one corner of the product box was completely wrinkled. Obviously when it dropped, the plastic fan broke apart from the little light in the middle (which is about 4" x 3", with four little LED lights). This is nothing more than a three dollar convenience store flashlight with two tiny fans you could purchase at the dollar store. If it was priced at $10, I'd have bought it and assuming it wasn't broken my friends and I would have gotten a kick out of it as a novelty item.

I saw this product presentation on HSN, it looks larger than my Cuisinart GR-4N 5-in-1 Griddler so I took a chance. This grill is powerful, easy to clean (I love nonstick!) and perfect size for my family or home party. This grill is nothing like made in China garbage, it's made in France with great quality. I am glad I got this grill, it's highly recommended.

After extensive searching on not only Amazon but various other sites, I settled upon this grill. I made this decision based on both the manufacturer and the reviews it received stating that it achieved the high temperatures needed to sear a good steak.

PROS:

I've had it for a month now, and I feel it is about time I reviewed it. This grill has lived up to my every expectation. It reaches much higher than the temperatures I require to cook and it provides a very evenly heated surface. The non-stick surface makes it very easy to clean by either a sponge and warm soap water, or even a trip in the dishwasher when I am feeling lazy. Again, I can't say it enough, this grill cooks beautifully.

CONS:

Not very many, mostly my OCD nature. However, this grill is not perfect down to a T. The grill does not drain as easily as I would like, only a small problem, and only when I decide to pour most of my marinade on the grill. The Drip tray also leaves a bit to be desired. The worst thing I can say about this grill is the touchiness of the controls. It is not a continuous dial, and therefore you reach certain levels of heat as you "click" through. At some points while cooking you find a level too great of a difference, the only solution would be to purchase a gas grill, but you won't catch me outdoors grilling in the snow.

Overall a GREAT grill, worth every penny. If I needed another grill, I wouldn't dream of purchasing anything different. Especially when compared to the train-wreck of the Sanyo I had before.
