This piece of junk broke after using 1 time. The second time it completely shut off in the middle of using it. There is no trouble shooting in the owner's manual. There is no "800" number to call for help. There is no website for help. It is a simple and easy piece of junk; just doesn't last.

I just received this grill in the mail and have not used it yet. I ordered it instead of a George Foreman grill because it has removable plates. However, I just read in the owner's manual that IT IS NOT SUITABLE TO COOK RAW MEAT! This information was not clear to me before I purchased it. I assumed that since it was a grill I would be able to cook meat. I may be returning this product as cooking meat was the main reason that I bought it.

Cuisinart GRID-70PC Compact Griddler ~ Ideal for Smaller Households

So, I love this griddler!! It makes awesome paninis and also does an amazing job of grilling meats and fish! I think it's extremely easy to use and clean and overall has made the limited space in my studio apartment kitchen much more useful!!

I got this as a wedding gift. It wasn't on my registry but I was happy to have it nevertheless. My husband and I eat sandwiches a lot and this griddler made my life so much easier. 2 sandwiches could fit and it takes only a couple minutes to get those perfect grill marks on the bread. I don't plan to use it for steak and eggs so for what I'm using it for, I will give it 5 stars!

I am fully aware that this item isn't as expensive as other models and brands, however I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be with this Cuisinart model. The item is stainless steel (as the description describes) but the base of the product is a hard plastic although durable enough to handle the job of heating sandwiches I didn't expect to see the use of such materials.

Otherwise, it did make panini's as one would expect. Clean-up was easy and the product functions as advertised.

I hope that Cuisinart isn't inching its way towards using less durable materials to increase their profit margins.

Not a bad product, love that the panels pop out... But the panini grill panels' grill pattern is too wide. I'd prefer the grids to be more narrow . Better for grilling meats than making panini.

I received this set as a gift, and I LOVE it. Thus far, we've only used the stone in the oven. It makes frozen pizza into awesome fresh pizza put frozen pizza on the cold stone, turn the oven to 425, and wait. About ten minutes after the oven comes to temperature, my pizza is done. The crust is crunchy without being burned, and the top is sizzling.

Great stone, great set! The huge spatula is also fabulous. Really sturdy handle, can pick up an entire large pizza with no issues.

I bought a spare 'cause it was on sale when I originally bought the mosquito magnet.

The original is fairly sturdy and well made. After 3 seasons I have yet to need it. Unless you're a klutz and think you'll step on it or something you can simply rinse / wash out the original one and keep using it.

That said, I use mine to swap out the full one for zero down time especially when it's full of angry live biting mosquitoes....

Although the product is called a "net", it is more like a rigid plastic container with a very fine durable mesh on the sides. Mosquito Magnet recommends to replace or clean it every 21 days. Cleaning is very easy and this net will lasts you many seasons if done regularly. The only problem with cleaning is that the net may still have a bunch of live mosquitos in it when you take it out. In that case you could have a spare that you put back in there while you wait for the live ones to die if you don't want any interruption of service. I typically wait for the propane tank to have run out of gas. When that happens, I take out the net and wait for the live ones to die in the next few hours. I then shake out the dead mosquitos and rinse the net under running water. It looks like new afterwards. By the time I have purchased a new tank, the net is dry and ready to be used again. After a tank has run out of propane, there are hundreds of dead mosquitos in the net. However, they all shrivel up and the dead mosquitos falls apart so the volume it takes up in the net is very limited. The little legs and other body parts get stuck in the mesh of the net but can be rinsed out very easily. I have posted a couple of pictures of the catch in the mosquito net after a full propane cycle (~21 days).

This unit is identical to the WDH851 with the difference that one is rated 70 pints and one 50. The first thing to clarify about that rating, and this applies to all dehumidifiers, is that it refers to the maximum amount of water it can remove in 24 hours, not to the size of the tank (which is a fairly standard 2 gallons).

I live in DC and have a beach house in Puerto Rico, which remains closed for 2-3 months at a time so keeping humidity in check becomes a regular chore. I've had and/or tested around 10 dehumidifiers in the last few years. In general they all do the job, clear the air of excess humidity, and they do this fairly effectively. The differences come in how they do this:

1) how many speed settings they have,

2) can the unit be set to run automatically to maintain a certain humidity percent,

3) how noisy are they (notice I don't say how quiet are they, all of them make noise),

4) how are they drained: bucket vs. gravity drain vs. pump

5) how sturdy are they

6) how easily can they be moved from one room to the next (not all wheels are the same)

This unit has 2 fan speed settings. At the high speed this is fairly loud. I'm not talking Rolling Thunder loud, but not quiet enough to keep in a bedroom or to have a quiet conversation next to it. I use this setting for when I'm out of the house. The low setting makes a comfortable background white noise similar to an area fan.

One of the things I like best about this unit is that it has 3 ways to drain the water: 1) manually by carrying a bucket (very solid construction), 2) gravity drain, and 3) it has an included pump that can drain the water up to 15 feet vertically.

The unit has an automatic on and off (or sleep mode) depending on the pre-set humidity level.

The wheels in this unit work very well. In other units (the Danby 60 pint and the Kenmore 70 pint) the wheels either broke or sagged so much that they were worthless after a few months.

Compared to the Frigidaire 70-Pint Dehumidifier (FAD704TDP), the Winix is far better.

1) it is better constructed, the wheels are bigger and easier to roll and the bucket handle feels stronger,

2) it includes a water pump (pump and hose for the Frigidaire add about $80-100)

3) it is quieter, particularly at the low fan setting

I purchased this dehumidifier and went for the premium price tag because I needed a unit that would pump and drain the bucket automatically (secondary residence, not there to empty bucket). It arrived mid-June, we set it up the following week and left, only to return the following weekend and find the "bucket full" light illuminated. At this point, I contacted Winix in an effort to troubleshoot and hopefully fix the problem. After a few rounds and emails, Winix offered to have the unit picked up and tested in their facilities and sent a replacement for us to use in the meantime. The replacement pumped, but only sporadically at best. The pump would activate and drain three times, then not work at all. One week we'd find the bucket drained, the next, the light would be on. In between we literally had to suck on the end of the drain hose to prime the pump, after which it would start. After two months of back and forth with Winix (very customer friendly, high marks for customer service -the product is not good), I thanked the customer service rep, but suggested that we call it quits and be allowed to return the unit for a refund. She referred me back to Kitty Hawk Enterprises (apparently an online division of Costco) and said I should have no problem getting a refund -that between our email correspondence and confirmation from Winix that we made a valiant effort to try and resolve the problem with the manufacturer, there should be no issue at all. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Kitty Hawk refused to bend on the 30-day return and would not even look at the correspondence or contact Winix to confirm all of our efforts. We thought we did the right thing by going to the vendor, but KH informed us that we should have also contacted them and would not budge. I spoke with Amazon directly and the agent, who completely concurred that a credit was in order, initiated an A to Z guarantee claim. But, I just got a message that we were 13 days beyond the time frame for that as well. I am surprised, as I have always found Costco to be very customer friendly. This contact was downright hostile and rude -I'm thinking of calling Costco headquarters to relay the story and see what they say. Very unhappy to be out of pocket for over $350 for a product that never worked. Overall, a good dehumidifier, except for the pump. Reading all the other reviews of this and other brands and models with pumps, this seems to be a feature that is notoriously unreliable in all makes and models. I am going to try the Delonghi and I will purchase locally from Best Buy so that I can test it and easily return it if it doesn't work. A product category as unreliable as this one and difficult to ship (requiring time for back and forth that eats up warranty period) is simply a huge mistake!

Got this to replace an existing dehumidifier in my basement. I chose this model because:

1. It has a built-in pump that empties into a sink (I do not have a drain on the floor)

2. Hi capacity per day

I cannot tell you how wonderful it is not to have to manually empty the bucket! And more importantly, it does not fill up and then turn itself off like my old unit did.

The unit does have some limitations:

1. Price is a bit higher, but I am willing to pay more for quality and suggest you do the same

2. The fan does seem to stay on and on and on and on... and it rarely shuts off, and even when it does, it is only for a short time.

3. It is quite loud. Do not expect to sleep, read, eat, watch TV, or anything else near this unit. On hi or on low, it is loud. I have mine in the basement, and it does not matter to me how loud it is because I am not down there much. If I was down there it would be a big problem for me.

The pros again:

It works quite well, solving the basement water issue

The built in pump

Seems solid

Triple boxed (!) so it arrived in perfect shape

I may buy a second one for my garage...

We've had a dehumidifier in our basement for over 2 years and it ran allllll the time. It finally quit and we bought this one. I was skeptical about it draining itself with the built-in pump, but it works fantastically. It is very quiet compared to the previous one. Patty Maker with 8 Storage Containers

I purchased these over the summer so that I could prepare turkey burgers ahead of time and keep them available in the freezer. The plastic of the storage containers seems a little flimsy to me, so I am careful with them. I don't know how long they will hold up, but I haven't had any problems with breaking or cracking yet. The only other thing I have noticed so far is that they do not protect the meat from freezer burn. I thought the whole point of using the plastic containers was to help keep out the freezer burn, but it doesn't take long before the burn starts to creep in. As long as you don't plan to keep these in your freezer for months, this is a good product. Not the highest quality, but it does what it says.

If you have not tried one of these muti-purpose portable cookers (if you have you know the speed and ease of cooking any meal is unbelieveable) look no further than this fine unit. Right out of the box you see the quality and thought that went into this product. This is a replacement for my first (different brand panini grill). Differences are unbeliveable; unlike my previous grill this unit grills to perfection, the grease from cooking goes thru the open bottom grill plates, into a removeable tray. All grids are removeable, which is a huge difference (my old unit did not have removeable grids had to clean by hand). It cooks meat, chicken, panini etc perfectly and nearly grease free.P.S.Don't throw out the direction booklet! It has over 20 Wolfgang Puck recipes in it, to use with this grill!Can't say enough.

I was searching for a replacement for my old unit from a different manufacturer that I had loved but is no longer made, and had several requirements:

1. Removable plates

2. An interior drip pan

3. A "floating" top that would allow for even cooking when food is thicker on one end.

4. An adjustable temperature (more than just high/low).

5. A decent sized cooking area.

It is somewhat surprising to me how difficult finding all these on the same unit can be, and this tri-grill does deliver and performs well on each of these items, so for that I'd give it five stars. The reason for me only rating it three is below:

After reading the other reviews here, I was a little nervous about ordering because of the possibility of poor quality. You can imagine my thoughts when I opened the box and out falls a screw! Fortunately, the screw was to hold the lid onto the handle and I was able to reassemble. The other side was very loose too, so I do believe that it can be assumed that these grills are not well built. I cannot help but wonder what is loose on the inside that I don't know about, even though it seems to be working fine. While not totally cheap, the materials do seem slightly on the flimsy side compared to some higher end models, but I think they are acceptable for a $99 price. The exception is the grill plates which I think are very nice and even sturdier than my much loved previous grill.

The grill is attractive, but it is a bit clunky/bulky in size because of the extra griddle plate storage. Its a great idea, but now that I own it, I personally would prefer to have a sleeker unit and have to store the extra plate elsewhere. I also wish the cord was just a little bit longer. The gauges are difficult to read when standing at the counter, I have to bend over and get closer to eye level with it to set. I also wish the gauges had more markings, but that is not a big deal.

Overall, I am happy with the tri-grill. With exception of quality concerns, my complaints with the grill are relatively minor. For me, it isn't going to become my favorite appliance because these complaints are annoyances, but its acceptable and does a very good job at its intended function it does grill well (leaves nice grill marks on the food too).

We searched until we found what looked like the prefect multi-function panini grill. It's a great concept and obviously someone thought of all the possibilities for cooking that it could do. And the storage for the extra plates is brilliant. However, when we took it out of the box, some screws and bolts fell out. Then we noticed that the anchors holding the heating element were loose and dangling. We couldn't put them in because the back, where the bolts went, was inaccessible. A little black rubber part fell out also, and we figured out that it was one of the rubber feet on the bottom, but the other one was missing.

We thought the metal which it was made of was rather thin and flimsy, and it was apparently carelessly assembled. Also, a lot of the parts rattled, making it sound not very sturdy. We are returning it without trying it and getting a refund. But after reading the 5-star review about how well it cooks, we are considering trying another one, just to see if this one was a lemon.

I just threw item this in the trash after a near tragedy. It is made so cheaply that while I was cooking the top plate slid out when the lid was raised. The hot plate fell to the tile floor just missing my feet because I jumped backwards; still holding on to the lid. Mentally picture this with the bare red hot heat coils exposed; the hinge lid unstable and ground beef patties on the bottom plate. Unplugged the unit and cleaned up the mess. The next day my husband looked at the unit and determined that the ONE clip on the front was not securing the top plate properly. There was no way to bend or weld a piece on the clip to make it safe to use. I had even bought the extra waffle plates which was also a waste of money. The Customer Service at the manufacturer was insolent and a letter to the the Wolfgang Puck cookware website was never answered. Please for your safety do NOT buy this appliance!
