Kamado Joe KJFS Fire Starters

Kamado Joe KJFS Fire StartersI used to make my own fire starters, this is better, depending on the amount of charcoal, just need one or two starters and poof, charcoal starts to ignite.

They burn fine if they are completely exposed to air. But as soon as you place them near the charcoal you are hoping to burn they go out.

We have a wood burning stove in our living room and these are wonderful for getting it started. I only use a half of one and it works every time. Really easy to light and burns about 12-15 minutes. We use them in the Kamado Joe "Egg" bar-b-que too during the warm months. They seem a little expensive, but if you've ever struggled with cheapo fire starters, you'll know right away that these are worth every cent just for lack of frustration. Really dependable and easy.

I purchased an electric charcoal starter with my Kamado Joe but only used it once. After hearing about these little guys from a friend, I decided to try them out. They light easily and burn hot enough to get even my mesquite charcoal lit up on the first try. Very happy with them and glad they are on Prime! I used to have to keep my propane spare around with my old grill, now I just need to order refills of these when I'm getting low. I just scanned the barcode on my phone app & had them 2 days later.
