GrillPro 40240 16-Inch Stainless Steel Tong/Turner Combination

Wanted to replace Weber tongs so searched Amazon and found the GrillPro Turner Tongs. What a bargain! They offer the grip of tongs, with the surface of spatulas...super grill tool. Well built of quality stainless steel with non-slip handles and a neat locking device. If I could change anything it would be to make them a couple inches longer for hot fires, but not a real problem as is.

larger than i thought, better quality than i assumed, works better than described and honestly is just amazing for burgers, grilled cheese, brats, steak, anything you wanna flip and hold securely while doing so.. outstanding product. HIGHLY recommended!

Pros: I like the surface area; great for fish fillets and burgers

Cons: It doesn't have any "bite" so it's difficult to grab things like traditional tongs.

I bought these to replace my tongs, but I'll still need to hold on to the traditional tongs for smaller objects like chicken legs, hot dogs, wings, etc. They work great on fish fillets, because they used to fall apart with tongs or even a spatula. Same with burgers. If it had "teeth" around the edges and force-fed CLAMP power then it would be flawless... but it's now just a supplement as opposed to a tong replacement.

My friends in Colorado have a tong/turner that is wonderful. I searched every store that I could think of in Wichita, KS and was about to give up. Even BBQ stores didn't have anything close.
