I was hoping it would have been worth the money; it has definitely lowered the inside temperature of my entertainment center.
To give you some background on why I was looking into this, I have multiple pieces of equipment inside my entertainment center, an Onkyo receiver that gets very hot, an original PS3 and they definitely run very hot, an Xbox 360, my router and NAS, and my cable box and DVD.
I used to keep the doors open to keep the doors open, but I have a 10 month old in the house and now have to keep the doors closed to keep my son out.
I finally got it all hooked up tonight and ran my ps3 for about an 2 hours; normally it would be super hot inside the cabinet, but tonight after setting it all up I now have no fears about keeping the front doors closed and overheating my electronics.
Great Product at least in my initial observations, remember this is my first night with it, and first impressions are very good so far, if it stops working or fails, I will update this post.I have these cooling the home theater equipment. They do a very good job and dnt make any noise. I love the fact that they dont run when they're not needed. They cost a lot, but work very well.

I needed to buy fans for my TV cabinet because keeping the doors closed meant that everything would get too hot. I have a toddler at home so I needed to keep it all closed. I went with this kit because I knew that I wanted thermal control, at least 2 fans, and a means to make the final project look fit and finished. The kit comes with everything I needed. You can find the stuff separately for a little cheaper, but I didn't think tracking all the individual parts was worth the savings.Installation involves cutting into your media cabinet with a saw. Make sure you measure properly and make sure the holes are level before cutting. The face plates, grill, and screen are what attracted me to this kit. Everything was meant to fit together. I'll upload pictures of my final product, as well.
The thermal controller works well too. DO NOT remove the insulation on the thermal sensor. There is a toggle switch for constant on fan or thermal controlled fan. When the fan is off, the LED is red and when it comes on automatically, it is bright green. When you have it on constant on, it's a yellow-green LED that lights up. That way you can tell if that fans are working because they are pretty quiet fans. When the TV is on and cabinet doors are closed, you wont hear the fans at all, but you can see the light. I put the switch farther back in the cabinet so the LEDs are not visible while watching TV.
The fan displaces enough air to make sure that my HTPC and receiver stay cool. I have an Onkyo receiver that is notorious for getting too hot, thus it heats up my HTPC too causing it to shut off. These fans keep it all cool.
I have the fans set up so that one is for intake of cool air and the other is the exhaust of hot air. Intake is at the bottom of the cabinet and exhaust is at the top. I also bought another fan from a local computer store for cheap and installed it into the shelf. The shelf fan pulls hot air from the bottom compartment to the top compartment where the exhaust can expel it. All three fans are connected to the same thermal sensor so they all turn on at the same time. You will need to plan a good airflow pathway in order for this system to truly be effective. I will post pics of my set up, as well.
Overall, this little project took about 2.5 hours from start to finish, including cable management and clean up. Post questions in the comments and I'll answer them.

Had a built-in cabinet installed. It contains all of my video equipment in one section, and in another is a laptop used as a house server, along with router, Comcast box, and printers. I installed one of the fans in each section, and they work beautifully. I have to check closely to see if they are running because they are so quiet. Problem solved.
