The looking mechanism is great. I love the color and the fact that its silicone. The only problem is the thickness: ex when i'm frying tacos it gets frustrating having to attempt several times. Not sure if i would recommend. For the price i expect something much better designed.

I got this to go with my red colored Lodge cookware with the white porcelain interior. I'm not the only one cooking and it alerts others to use the red silicone cooking tongs with the red cookware that needs protection from scratches. I prefer the 9" size. It seems that I can get my hands up and down it faster to lock or unlock when needed. Dishwasher safe is a plus.

These are great! Only problem I have had is the silicone is a little thick and kind of slick when using to turn food so it can be hard to grip something that is why I rated these a 4 but I really do recommend them.
