Bought two of these. On one the face plate to the guage cracked releasing gas. The other completely blew the face off leaking gas. These are hazzardous.

Gas is getting trapped in the mechanism. Gas still flows, but the gauge is stuck on full. Might be the tank. I don't know. It also seems to have an emergency shut-off valve. If you turn on the burners too quickly after turning on the propane tank, you will have no or restricted flow. You need to wait about 10 seconds between turning on the propane and turning on the burners. After having this for 6 months, it is a real pain. I would definitely try something else.

It's simple, place your hand flat on the side of the tank. Remember your hand has to be perfectly flat on the side of the tank as close to the middle as you can get, not the top or bottom.
