Rome Pioneer Large Camp Grate

We often cook over a fire pit shoveled out of the ground. I was having difficulty finding a grill that would span a larger diameter hole. This grill does a splendid job. It is thick enough to support the weight of several pots and pans, while suspended over the fire with only several inches of the ends on the ground. And since it is rectangular, instead of circular, I have space to easily feed small sticks to get the fire to flare up.

It isn't a thick, heavy grill, so I wait until the fire has burned down a bit before putting it over the flames. I don't want to weaken it. If it were heavier, I would give it 5 stars, but then it would also be much more expensive.

I built a firepit in my backyard and wanted to be able to do more than roast marshmallows. This allows me to cook just about anything I can cook on the grill. Great buy for the price.
