Pizzacraft PC0102 22-1/2-Inch by 13-1/2-Inch Rectangular Cordierite Baking/Pizza StoneNote -I'm actually not using this as a pizza stone, but rather to help regulate temperature in my oven. I live in an apartment with a cheap gas stove and I was constantly burning the bottoms of my cookies and other delicate foods. I saw a cooking show where the host put bricks in his oven to help keep a consistent temperature, and I realized that I could use a pizza stone for the same thing. This one has worked great for that; it's big enough to cover almost the entire bottom rack of the oven and has a lot of mass. I covered the entire thing in heavy-duty aluminum foil to keep it clean if anything drips on it and leave it in there. I have definitely seen a difference in my oven's performance. It does take longer to heat up, but the stone deflects the heat evenly so the bottoms of dishes are no longer burning before the rest has a chance to cook. I realize this isn't the traditional use for this product, but wanted to add a review in case anyone else is considering it for the same reasons.

I was looking for a pizza stone that would be large enough to put two home made pizza's on it and this one is perfect. It fits across the entire width of my oven. I have used it a few times, and it seems to work great. It did give off some chemical odor at first, which seems less now. This is the reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5. I believe it is made of "cordierite" which, as far as I know, is considered the best material for a pizza stone.

Makes excellent bread. This is large as baking stones go, with less than 1" clearance on both sides of the oven. Because of this, you may need to remove it when cooking certain other items the heat does not circulate as well. It is the best quality stone I have used.

nice extra large stone, fits tight in the oven. can now make pizza or bread. I like it a lot, and probably you will too :)

I am very surprised and extremely pleased with this pizza stone. It retains heat and redistributes it evenly. It has managed to cut down my pizza cooking time by 8 minutes and my crust is a lot better than when I used my smaller and thinner stone.

It has also done a wonderful job with my bread.

The only thing I would change is I'd make it 15'' wide instead of 13''.

I don't know how I went so long without it.
