Paderno World Cuisine 17-Inch Stone Grill Set

We enjoyed cooking on a similar hot stone when dining at a friend's house several months back, and wanted to get one of our own. They had purchased theirs in Europe and didn't know the brand, so we tried to remember what it looked like, and this was most similar.

I had read in other reviews that the product arrived without instructions, but figured that may have just been a problem with those individual stones. Sure enough, absolutely no instructions as to how long to heat the stone, temperature, how to protect your table, how high to keep the Sterno flame, etc. I found general instructions for hot stone cooking online, and followed those. Unfortunately, two long cracks appeared in the stone the very first time we used it! We were using it with guests, and used Sterno beneath the stone to keep it at a proper cooking temperature. The second time we used it was just for our family, and we used it without the Sterno, but it lost temperature sooner than I would have hoped.

I'm still giving it four stars because we enjoyed it so much. But I fear it won't last much longer, and that means I would have paid an awful lot of money per use.

Pros: Lots of fun to use, especially when entertaining; cooks meat perfectly

Cons: No instructions, cracks easily

Struggled to find this product in the United States, so glad to see this on Amazon! It's my go-to Wedding gift and always a hit! We have Hot Rock dinner parties quite often and everyone always wants to know where they can get one. You can't go wrong. Easiest meal you'll ever prepare.

There were absoslutely no instructions included. You don't know how to season it, how do you initially heat it in the over, how you clean it, etc.

Without instructions it was a total waste of money. Hence I returned it.
