Sagaform BBQ Hamburger Press

Nice looking design and is fairly well made. The top part of the press (silver part) is metal but the bottom is some type of plastic material that has held up OK so far.

My only beefs with this design and its function are:

1. The press has fairly deep ridges (both top and bottom) that can at times cause the patty to fall apart easily depending on the texture of the meat being used and how thick/thin you make it.

2. It can be cumbersome to get the patty out of the bottom cup. Once you compress the patty into the bottom half of press cup it does not want to come out easily (suction effect?). I sprayed the bottom press half with PAM and that did not work all that well. Prior to purchasing this press I had a very simple old red plastic press that the top portion of the press slid through and inside the circular cup and would press it out on a solid surface like a chopping board...it was very easy to release the patty and it was well formed.
