It does work, but don't expect it to do the job for you. As instructions say, it may take more than one try. It is better than doing without.
It is a simple method of soaking your grates in hot water and the product and a quick brush off keeps your grates looking new. There is no harsh smell with it either., With the larger grates on modern stoves, you have to find a container large enough to submerge the grate.It's a good product that I have used for several years. Wish I could find a way to stop the grates from getting dirty
