I bought this in the U.S. after having lived in China for several years. It keeps the spicy and cool sides separate and is made of fairly thick metal, not the cheap thin kind sometimes sold in grocery stores.

I just used this today! It works so well. When it was delivered the box the pot came in, (not the amazon box) was a little bent out of shape, but everything was fine. It's thick metal, so it's not flimsy, and it's not going to break easily. The lid requires some assembly, (took about 30 seconds), but I wish they would have said that in the description, because you could possibly not be sent an important screw if a mishap happens in packaging. Great buy!
