It works great! I don't do a lot of cooking; my wife is a chef however. I bought this for her after she told me she wanted one. When we got it, she thought I had ordered the wrong thing because she hadn't used one with a slotted bottom pan before. She uses it all of the time and loves it even more than her much older, non-slotted bottom pan broiler. Over all, it has turned out to be a great purchase. Perfect size to cook four large steaks or New-York strips on.This is the best broiler pan I've ever had. However, some of the reviews I read said you could just put it in the dishwasher and forget it. Well, I guess I'm a clean-freak 'cause I disagree. But, read on.
With the old enamel broiling pans, I was never happy. They accumulated baked-on black grease deposits that it was nearly impossible to remove without a box or two of SOS pads and days of scrubbing.
This pan is different. There is still baked-on residue that the Consumer Reports best rated dishwasher can't get off, not even in pots and pans plus "turbo zone" modes.
But, I can get this broiler pan back to looking like the day it came out of the box with one or two SOS pads and about 1.5 hours scrubbing.
Don't get me wrong, it does come out of the dishwasher in a state of very acceptable cleanliness. I guess I'm just a perfectionist in wanting ALL indications of use to be removed.
Bottom line: I use a convection oven. I broil often. This is without doubt, the best broiling pan I've ever owned.

The pan was the size I wanted. Constructed well. No problems with any of that. At the time I didn't pick up on it being a "convection" pan, i.e., having the opening at the bottom of the pan. I cook my bacon using a broiler pan and of course that creates a lot of grease. First time I tried to remove the pan from the oven I spilled grease all over the bottom of the oven because of the opening. While it's great for anything that doesn't create a lot of grease, it just doesn't work well for what I'm doing the most with it. So, with that in mind, it's a great product given its limitations with the opening on the bottom.Read Best Reviews of Porcelain Convection 12 7/8 by16.5 Inch Broiler Pan with Porcelain Grill Here

With our convection oven getting a workout, we needed some pans that were meant for convection cooking. We purchased this one because it touted itself as "dishwasher safe." After cooking pork chops to juicy perfection, we tossed this in the dishwasher thinking that our work here was done. Unfortunately, while it comes out "clean", that baked on meat residue lingers around the slots. It's nothing that a quick scrub with an SOS pad can't take care of, but it's definitely not a single wash pan.Still, this is a small price to pay for a pan that works with (instead of against) the convection oven and everything we've tried cooking on it (pork chops, beef loins, salmon etc) turns out perfectly cooked on all sides.
